Awar didn't take her eyes of Elliot, "Yeah, a really good holiday, but I'll see you later." and with that she just turned and left.
Mika made her way through the great hall and to the Ravenclaw table as quickly as possible. Sure her head was kind of sore after having to unhook herself from a loose rusty EVIL nail. But she was more excited to meet all of the new students, the transfers, and to reconnected with everyone else.
Or would it be connect with? The main person she had become buddy-buddy e enough with had stranded her. Pfft.
She still was going to write him every week.
FRIENDS did that right?
Looking up and down the great hall she tried to find faces that she recognized. She couldn't help but notice Theo and some girl fighting. Well, almost fighting. She couldn't hear them though - the girl previously known as creepy (to a select few) really wanted some extendable ears.
She loved Drama. Drama was her life - everyone's especially when locked up in a school in the middle of nowhere for a while. Except things seemed to always happen.
She just hoped that Amarantha didn't show up again....EVER she wanted her to be caught and sent to wherever it was they sent evil time stealing witches like her. And to think she had almost bought books from her - and almost taken the tea.
"Ravenclaw First years I wanna say WELCOME to the most AWESOME house EVER - we the older students even though i've only been here a year will be all willing to be your guides...your shepherds through this amazing school." the girl piped up but it was hard for Mika to be heard right now over the chatter of all the tables - and because her voice was so, so quiet. In a quieter tone she smiled and added to the students around her "You can all call me Mika if you like".

First Year
After the selection ceremony, Alice joined the Ravenclaw group. She thought about her parents with a smile. How they would be happy to hear the news!
Finally, feast time was announced by the Professor. Students had dinner and talked about the expectations for the new year. Alice listened carefully to everything with a smile on her face and eyes always attentive to everything that was happening around her.

Elliot, in return, stared at the girl all the way back to her little puffer table.
But she couldnt be mean. Not to Presley's cousin. The girl was LUCKY! "Mine was pretty lousy, actually, Pres," she said with a sigh. She swiveled to face her. "I didn't see my father once after he picked me up from the train station. He didn't even say goodbye." She felt for talking about family in front of the girl...since, well, she, too, was having family problems.
Her eyes flickered to Awar before final settling back on Pres. "Your cousin...she's a puffer." Way to state the obvious...

There was a small child GLARING at her, how cute. Addy gave her a snort of laughter and ignored the attempts at intimidation. It was cute, that she thought she was MEAN and TOUGH... and twelve and all. Really it was.
And Vickers got polite nodding until...

She saw Vickers and Addy, as well as Lex (weird... hadn't her little firstie friend been sorted Gryffindor?), and Vivi took a seat somewhere in between. Now it was time for speeches, but hopefully there would be fooooood soon.
"Viv!" Thank GOODNESS she was there. These people... They. Made. Addy. Itch. Like a rash. OH and LOOK! It was the cute little one that helped her pick out the pygmy puff she had shoved in her bag. Hehe. Well CAT wasn't SHOVED in, she seemed to enjoy snuggling into the pocket. SHE DID. Well anyway Lottie got waves and smiles and such, too. She was CUTE, she was.
Presley heard some second year yelling about welcoming firsties, and glanced over in annoyance. If Ravenclaw was for the intelligent, what was that girl doing there? And shouting. And calling herself "we the OLDER students"? Presley looked away, as if the girl was a bug she couldn't be bothered with. Welcoming was up to the teachers, the prefects, and the people the little buggers sat next to at the feast.

Presley frowned. In all of her worry about herself she hadn't given Elliot time to talk about her summer, which was just as bad. She mentally berated herslef, and promised to pay better attention in the future. "Was he on business, or simply avoiding you?" Presley asked bluntly. Because if he'd been in the Morganzo Manor, and hadn't seen Elliot once, that was a lot worse than going on a business trip to Africa and not seeing her once, though both were pretty lousy.
Presley nodded seriously. "I know. My grandparents are going to be furious. But they usually listen to me. Hufflepuffs are bad, but she's my cousin Elliot. What else am I supposed to do?" With having only one sibling, who was so much older than her, cousins were practically siblings to Presley. Especially now that her brother had turned her away.
Elliot scowled at Jacks girl. Seriously. Elliot didn't need this right now. Stupid girl.
Weren't stupid people NOT supposed to be in Ravenclaw?!
SPOILER!!: Pressy

Elliot eyed Presley vaguely before saying, "Business." It seemed he was working a lot more than in her younger days. And it did worry her. But they had never had...well, never had more money than they did now. So she assumed he was successful. "And since he's not home, Mother has to deal with the baby all by herself. Which makes her cranky." Which was LOUSY. Because Josey was usually so happy. Though it annoyed Elliot, she preferred her happy mother to her cranky one. "I think we're getting a nanny for him. Mother says she can't handle him alone." And house elves didnt really count, since Krosby had to clean and cook and everything, too.
Elliot didn't like the idea of a nanny. She had never had one, though many of her kind did. And whoever this nanny was...Elliot would be sure to be a perfect little angel. NOT.
What was she supposed to do? Disownment. But Elliot merely shrugged. "Distance yourself. Or that's what I would do." But Pres was usually a bit nicer than Elliot...so whatever.

Cranky mums were never good. From what Presley had gathered from others, when mums were cranky they tended to dole out punishment a little more generously. Pres felt bad for Elliot, having to deal with such a large family. "I'm sorry that he's away so often, Elliot, but look at it this way. He's making a future for you, you know? When you're of age, you'll never have to worry about having a job you don't like, because your father is never going to run the inheritance dry if he's still raking in the galleon, right?" Presley wished her father would go away on business more. She didn't want him around nearly as much as he seemed to be lately.
Presley nodded. Nanny's were good. Elliot would definitely not have to deal with the little brother thing as much if a nanny was there to keep him out of her way. And her mum would be happier. This could be a good thing.
Distance herself...Presley thought about it for a second, and then dismissed the thought. "No, I couldn't. Awarlesta is to me like Dani and Sam are for you. I never had a sister, and that's practically what she is to me. She's blood, Elliot." And blood ties are unbreakable.

The blonde merely sneered. He was away TOO much. Why couldn't her mother be away...but her mother didn't work. And she couldn't go shopping as much as usual with the baby...UGH.
"I suppose. If he thinks I'm taking over the business now that Darius is here...he's dead wrong. No way I'm wasting my time with something I won't even own once the brat is seventeen..." she said bitterly. She realized that the folded hands on her lap were gripping each other with too much strength...her knuckles were white. She gritted her teeth and began to twist her necklace absentmindedly...
And she didn't even know what this business was. So how in the world did her father expect Elliot to want to be a part of it? Hmph. He had another thing COMING!
And then...she scowled. "I suppose, Presley. But be careful..you're already walking a thin line..." she said, mentally prodding the girl. "And I would so ditch Da-" but she stopped mid-sentence, horrified at what she had just thought and been about to say...
But what felt even worse was that it was true. Blood was blood...but you always had to look out for number one. Especially if family members were going down the wrong path.

"We could find out, you know" Presley said suddenly, reffering to their parents line of work. "I mean, it would be really hard, and we might get disowned or worse if they find out, but I think if we tried hard enough, we could probably figure it out." It wasn't like Presley to say things like that. It was more of Elliots job to be crazy like that.
Presley was walking a thin line. And it was good of Elliot to remind her, but the line was with her father. Not her grandparents. Her father didn't care enough about Awar to notice what house she was in, let alone care. And her grandparents didn't care about Presley's quarrel with her father. They merely said that it was his choice where Presley stayed, and if he wasn't okay with her living with them, they they wouldn't go behind his back that way. Which was fine. That was their choice. But it didn't mean they weren't on Presley's side here.
Presley gasped. Would Elliot really leave her sister out in the cold like that? After violently claiming that Leo never should have abandoned Presley? It was pretty much the same principle. "You really would?" she asked in shock. Not judgement, just surprise.

Elliot stared at Presley like she was some sort of..wild animal or something. No no NO! Elliot would NEVER! "Presley..I'm glad I don;t know." She said, her eyes suddenly very serious.
It was dangerous, whatever they did, and she knew that knowing more...meant she was more likely to be a target...or something worse. "No, don't even think like that, Black!" she cried, using her friend's last name this time...just to show how serious she was. "Leave it alone. I'm sure we'll know in time."
And once again Elliot was being considerably uptight. Not unusual.
Hypocrite.
THe word slithered into Elliot's mind like a disease...she blinked, gulped, and sighed..."N-no. I just thought I would...but now that I think about it..." hadnt she just angrily accused Leo for not helping his sister? "I don't know, actually. It all depends on the situation...like in your situation..." she sighed, "Since it isn't that bad, I would help Dani." So she really didn't know.
Did that make her a bad sister?
No.
It made her a smart girl. HMPH.

Glad she didn't know? That didn't sound like Elliot at all! Presley was confused. Sure they'd know in time? Only if the higher-ups decided to share, which they very well might not. Presley shrugged it off. If Elliot didn't want to know, then it didn't matter that much. Presley's curiousity was not so bad that she couldn't wait a couple of years to find out.
And now Elliot was stuttering. What on earth was wrong with the girl today? "Yeah, I guess it depends on the situation" Presley conceded, not wanting to argue today.

And now Presley had gone all quiet on Elliot. Had she said something weird? Probably...Presley and Elliot may have a lot in common, but they sure as heck weren't very alike...
She merely nodded...and glanced at the Slytherin table, looking for a familiar face...a handsome familiar face who had just been sorted in Slytherin. Perfect, right?
"I've met a boy," she stated suddenly, casually..she didn't even bother to look at Presley's face...she didn't want to see her friends' smugness there, nor did she want to blush, which she had been prone to doing as of late.

Presley grinned and leaned in excitedly. So this was what was up with her friend. "Who?" she asked, excitement dancing on her face. Presley knew practically the whole school, she would know this boy for sure. Unless he didn't go to Hogwarts...but that wasn't very likely.

Unfortunately for Elliot...Presley was acting EXACTLY as she feared she would! Elliot waved her arms in front of her face..."Nothing serious yet. Not even...well, I just have a little fancy for him!" she cried, wishing that Presley would stop looking so...
Excited.
Was it really that exciting? Really? "Well..he is a transfer from Australia...I met him a month ago in Diagon..." she began with a sigh. She couldnt spot him from here..."He was sorted into Slytherin, though. His name is Ezra...but he likes to be called Ezzi." Even though Elliot preferred his real name.
And no, she would NOT be telling Presley that she allowed this boy to call her 'Ell.' No no NOOOO!

Nothing serious. That was supposed to take all of the fun out of it, but it didn't. Because now it would be fun to see them get together, as they would eventually, no doublt about it. And Australian! Pres absolutely adored aussie accents, though she would never tell that to anyone. "Whoa, you met him a month ago and didn't say anything to me? We're supposed to be friends, Elliot!" A whole month of plotting that had been practically stolen from Presley, because Elliot didn't talk about feelings.
"And...do...you call him Ezzi?" Presley asked, knowing the outcome of the question was important. Presley and Elliot had known each other for their whole lives, and only barely had Elliot started shortening Presley's name to "Pres" like everyone else did. If she'd met this guy a mont ago, and was already using a pet name for him, it was something serious.

But the other part liked it because Cassia freaked out a bit and that would have totally ruined the whole bigger second year act she had been trying to pull. Though Gwen already knew Cassia since her first days at Hogwarts lost and clueless. Well, but she wanted to change that impression
As she got to the Eagles' table. Cassia was grinning a toothy wide grin. Why? Because she can swear that the floor seems further! It means that she was already feeling the couple of centimeters she had grown during the summer. Pfffft..And her brother had said that it wasn’t noticeable! How else do explain the floor looking further from up here!
Breaking her stare with the floor and ending the awesomeness of a higher view! Cassia glanced at the faces trying to spot Gwen. After walking past a few students Cassia spotted her. "GWEN!" Cassia squeaked….Um too much..hopefully the eagles don't mind ear-splitting voices! And who was with Gwen, "And hey Ari!" Cassia waved at the two girls walking over to them.
Gwen didn't have time to place any guesses before something else distracted the two girls. Someone else, better yet. It was the chatty second year Ari had met at King's Cross. She wondered briefly where the girl had gone to once they were on the train. Oh, well. They were here now. 'Hi, Cassia!' she greeted back cheerfully.
'We were just about to start a game.' the Gryffindor announced, happy that another non-Ravenclaw had joined the table. 'It's called Guess the House.' She made the name up just then. 'We get points for guessing where each firstie is gonna be sorted. Did I forget anything?' she looked at Gwen. As you can see, the game is very complex...

Her cats. "The man from the ministry said they all would take care of the pets," she said in somewhat an uncertain tone, "My smaller kitten was already asleep in the basket but I had to wrestle Viola in there and close it..." And by now, Ari probably had a pretty clear idea about what THAT could be like. Heh. "Sorry for the trouble back on the train, by the way. She's just an excited cat." Aaanyways, enough of Viola. "Do you have any overly excited pets?" Lame question, but they might as well chitchat until the food came here.
That was true. Almost nothing could be classified as normal at Hogwarts, but never in the school's history, as far as Ari knew, had the Hogwarts Express broken down. 'Is everyone back here safely, as far as you know?' Portkeys were reliable enough, but with so many people, one can't help but wonder...
Her and Gwen? 'We've met on Diagon Alley before our first year here and have been best friends ever since.' Long time already. Not to mention that their parents had been friends at school as well.
'I hope they'll be in the dorms by the time we go upstairs. I have one of my own, the big grey Pluto.' Fingers crossed. 'And it wasn't any trouble, really. I was just standing there idly, anyway. A bit of excitement never hurt anyone.' Ari chuckled. 'Also, Oakey had done most of the job for me.' Which made Ariadne indebted to the Hufflepuff boy.

Gwendolyn decided to head straight to the Ravenclaw table, and watch the sorting ceremony with her friend.
‘Hi, Elliot’, she greeted the first person she recognized at the table. ‘Had a good summer?’ Gwen had only seen her on Diagon Alley, but they didn’t get to talk much. Mehh. ‘Hello’, she greeted Vickers too, and then decided to go look for her friend. Hmm. Where was she? Gwendolyn gave a quick look around, eventually spotting Ariadne already waiting.
As she got closer to the Gryffindor, the fifth year could hear her friend guess the house of the firstie who was just being sorted. ‘Not bad’, Gwen mused, taking a seat at the table. ‘How about that one?’, she asked, smirking, as she looked at the first year who was heading to the sorting hat. Gwen eyed the person for a moment before drawing her attention back to Ariadne.
‘I hope you haven’t been waiting for long’ She wasn’t that late, was she? Still, Gwen felt a bit sorry for what happened at the carriages. They were probably going to go in one of the carriages together, but as soon as they got on the platform in Hogsmeade, she couldn’t spot Ari any longer.
Now.
In which one of the houses will that firstie be sorted?
Vee walked over to the Ravenclaw Table with a grin on her face and a skip in her step. Finally, she was at Hogwarts, and sorted, and a Ravenclaw, too! This just gave her another thing in common with Viola, and though she might not admit it out loud, Vee was happy to be following in her sister's footsteps. She couldn't wait to write to her about it.
"Hi, is this seat taken?" Vee asked a girl who looked much older and had an empty seat next to her. She didn't really pause to realize she picked a place at the table with a lot of older students around - not that it really mattered, they were all in one house after all. And Vee was entirely too hungry to be looking around for an area of her future classmates - she just had to her her hands on some of that lemon chicken, and the potatoes which smelled as good as any french fries she'd ever had.
Was it just her or was this day longer than 24 hours? Wearing her full uniform, Louisa stepped into the Great Hall and directly headed for the Ravenclaw table. She had her hair tied into a tight high bun for the slight defect to be hidden until she figured out a potion or a spell to fix it. And no, she was not afraid of letting it flow onto her shoulders again, not at all. Her shoulders DID feel lighter than usual with nothing on them though, it wasn't usual for the seventeen years old to gather all of her hair up like that. She never liked it to be restrained and limited. But.. tough times call for tough measures.
"Hello. Everybody's doing okay?" she greeted the small crowd at the table recognizing Vickers, the girl that doesn't like candy (kayquilz) and her friend (HazelStone101), Gwen and Ari, Silvia and then the girl speaking to Vickers (Eriin). That last one was... interesting. Louisa kept looking at her coolly, trying to catch whatever they were talking about.
EH. Probably he was just making her feel comfy after all this hassle.
Louisa moved her attention to the rest of the empty table, no first years yet... Pity.
At least she was feeling better than she had been out in the creepy darkness, mhmm.
Gwen had been focusing on the first years who were just about to be sorted, trying to do her best to win the game she had started with Ariadne when she heard a voice greeting everybody. She raised her eyes and tracked down the source of the voice, finally managing to spot Louisa. ‘Hi!’, she greeted the older Ravenclaw. After a moment, Gwendolyn realized there was something that even Ari had told her on the train ride, after the Gryffindor came back from the corridor. Louisa was Head Girl! ‘Congratulations!’, the fifth year said with a grin.
She felt like asking Louisa at least how she was, but the girl seemed rather busy talking to the students at the Ravenclaw table. After all, they would get to talk some other time, right? Maybe at the Common Room. In the next moment, the girl heard Louisa say something, making Gwen smirk. Well. She and Ari had been best friends before even coming to Hogwarts. And that was just what the Gryffindor just replied.

The next firstie had just been sorted into Ravenclaw, but Gwendolyn could perhaps guess the others?
She hadn't been waiting long at all. 'No, don't worry about it.' the Gryffindor waved it off and waited to see if Gwen's intuition was better than hers. Plenty of first years to go...
'You don't happen to have a piece of parchment on you?' What? Her friend liked to draw, so she just might.'We can both write our guesses.' Ari explained. They could turn this into a game.
Looking back at Ariadne, Gwen felt relieved that she hadn’t arrived that late. Good. Gwen immediately drew her attention to the first years. ‘Hmm’, she mused, eyeing the kid as the sorting hat was placed on his head. ‘Slytherin?’ That was her first guess. And it was correct. So now it is even..., the fifth year thought and a smug appeared on her face
As one of the first years stepped out from the crowd and approached the sorting hat, Gwen tried to guess what house he would get. ‘Hufflepuff... definitely’, she chuckled. Because that kid looked just like a Puff. She was just waiting for the sorting hat to confirm that she was right... and as it announced the house of that firstie... her face just dropped.
Ravenclaw.
She glimpsed back at Ari, giving her one of those ‘Seriously?!?!’ looks. ‘Hmm?’ What was Ari saying? Gwen had been concentrating on the game, but now she decided to pay attention to what her bestie was saying. ‘No, I don’t think so...’, she said simply. They wouldn’t be needing the piece of parchment... They could just keep it in mind, right? ‘I say each guess is worth one point. But how about if you get one wrong?’ Will points be taken? Because in that case, she was back to zero... just because of that kid who was meant to be a Hufflepuff. Hmph.

She moved a bit to the left to make enough room for Cassia at the table as well, but didn’t say anything else, since Ariadne already started talking about the game. ‘Umm... that’s all.
Gwen had been focusing on the sorting ceremony, so, even though she heard footsteps approaching the place where she was sitting at the table, she didn’t mind to look at who it was. Mehh. Perhaps a student she didn’t even know. But then a girl asked if the seat beside her was taken, this getting Gwen’s attention. ‘Umm... no. You can sit here’, the fifth year said simply, willing to look back at the sorting ceremony. But something made her stop.
Hmmm.
Wasn’t this girl one of those first years which Ari had guessed the house for? She was. Gwen was sure about this. 'Welcome to Ravenclaw', she said. Well, even though she wasn’t very fond of younger students, this girl was a Ravenclaw, so she had to have some brains, right? This would mean that it wouldn’t be completely useless to start a conversation with her.

Cassia waved back enthusiastically See getting taller had already payed its benefits. "Hi Louza!" She told the girl. Mmm...was that her name? Yup it totally was! "Nice badge!" Cassia beamed at the two girls who greeted her. A game. Cassia was totally game for games! "Yeah sure!" She nodded sliding into the space next to Gwen. She listened to the explanation of the game. "That's a cool game. I like it." She grinned. Cassia liked playing games although she wasn't the type that always won. However, she intended to try and win not because she was competitive but because she thought that she ought to win once in a while now that she is a second year. Though she knew that her chances aren't so strong considering her opponents were older and one was a Ravvie
But thinking about it, the game didn't need any experience and or education. Which was fortunate for Cassia. So winning shouldn't be that hard. It is only about guessing. Cassia wished that her brother was here to play with them, he was so good at guessing his hunch was awesome! So play time it is. Being a second year already started to be a whole more fun and interesting than a firstie. Cassia wondered if Ari and Gwen had played this game last year when she was sorted and whether they guessed that she'd be in Slytherin. She made a mental note to ask them later.
Cassia straightened and glanced at where the sorting hat was placed. "Okay." She said dramatically squinting her eyes at a boy who just sat down and the hat was about to be placed on his head. "I think that that boy is going to be placed in Ravenclaw," She reckoned. "Because he is wearing glasses." She said thoughtfully. You know glasses meant that you were smart and Ravenclaws were like that. Well, at least the twelve years old believed that glasses were a sign of smartness. She rubbed her hands excitedly waiting to see whether she guessed correctly or not.

New girl Maisie Juliet Auguste tried not to let her nerves show. New school, new house, new friends, new start. Right? That's what her mother had told her when they'd moved into their new house only two days ago.
Having been allocated to Ravenclaw house, Maisie made her way through the throngs of students to sit at the long table. She felt a bit lonely, watching the other sixth-years greet friends they'd meet long ago in their first sorting. She dutifully followed their lead and clapped whenever a first-year joined the Ravenclaws, content to just observe her housemates for now.
Ameliah FINALLY arrived at the feast after all that commotion. She was still supporting Adam, though she was sure he was better she refused to let him stand on his own. Automatically drifting towards her table since Adam would probably know more people there, she sat down happily next to Taylor. "TAYLOR!!!" Ameliah hugged Tay, grinning. She hardly saw her at all over the summer!!! It was soooooo unfair. POUT.
"Heya Er Boy!!!!" Ameliah suddenly noticed Harvey and hugged him too. She could still be friendly, right?? Wasn't that in the rulebook? She at least hoped Adam wouldn't mind. The Claw suddenly realized both her relationships had started on the same day, though different years. Strange.

Suddenly: Table to sit at. BLIMEY how Adam missed sitting. He carefully sat next to Ameliah, keeping his arm around her waist. He smiled at her friends, but he didn't really know them much. WHERE WAS RONNIE? Adam needed another familiar face.

It was Ameliah.. he watched as she greeted Taylor with a hug, well it was good to see that they were good and not fighting anymore. She then looked at him and greeted him too "Hey Ameliah" he smiled.. well they were still friends though.. so they could still talk. Its not like they would stop being friends just cause she didn't want to be with him anymore. Besides he was friends with every girl he had dated so why not Ameliah, just then he saw a boy sit next to Ameliah. Harvey wondered who this boy was.. had they met before he couldnt remember.

AND NOW RONNIE WAS HERE. Ameliah grinned, "Oh yeah, Rons, I still haven't given you the stuffs!" She reached into her bag and pulled out several potions. "Burning toenails, elongated nosehair, exploding tonsils...." she muttered as she searched through the multicolored potions. "Ah, here we are!" As soon as Ameliah sat down, it seemed like the group was thrown in the midst of commotion with new people coming... Tay didnt mind of course since it was right in her element though it probably meant no Damon... which the thought made her frown. Taylor nodded at what Harvey said and smiled, "Yeah, we have to be careful." Tay laughed. She hugged Ameliah back and smiled at her. She nodded to Adam, "Pleasure meeting you, I am Tay..." Taylor turned her head and saw Ronnie, "Hey!" She hugged her friend, "Are you okay?" Tay was concerned. She noticed some tension and glanced at Harvey, leaning into him a little to whisper, "Did I miss something this summer while travelling?"

Though she was upset that the healer wasn't there to help people. It was plain unprofessional.
"My summer was pretty good," Presley lied easily, surrepitously crossing her fingers under the table. A trick Leo had taught her when she was teeny. He'd told her it made the lies not count, and Pres had never been able to shake the habit. "How about yours? Did you do anything fun?"
Elise smiled gratefully, but shook her head. That kinda made her feel like a charity case. And she'd had enough of that through the summer. "It's alright. Thanks for offering, though," she smiled. Elise'd just wait for the Headmistress to give her speech so that she could go find the healer.
"That's good," Elise nodded, totally trusting. Elise honestly didn't believe that people would lie to her, nope. Why would they? She never lied to them. "I stayed at Erin's place this summer. She taught me how to walk in heels and introduced me to some Muggle things she liked." The reason she went there in the first place was best left unsaid. She didn't need the "I'm so sorry"s and the "it'll be okay"s. Because it wasn't okay.

"Ugh. Finally..." the short-haired brunette muttered as she neared the Ravenclaw House Table. Hugging herself, she slumped down on the closest vacant seat to her. The Ravenclaw fourth year bit her slightly shivering lip once she had slumped down. Not only was she hungry, she was also feeling cold. Actually, she was semi-wet, drenched from her head to her shoulders, from her knees to her toes.
Meh. She was a water-logged bamboo. And her stomach was growling.
As a clap of thunder echoed through the halls, her eyes shifted to the magicked ceilings above them. It was exactly how it looked outside, a heavy downpour that came with lightning and thunder. Beezus sighed, there were still a few students outside. For sure, they have met worst tragedies under the rain than her.
She saw some Ravenclaws she knew a little further from her. Vickers was there, and Louisa, Elliot, that young girl who was following her around and even Jayden, Elise was also there talking to a girl with familiar face. She could also see Gwen, and that red head, Addy whom she met at Flourish and Blotts during the summer, the ginger was with another girl who looked quite pale. Oh, Nigel was there too. Max, Hugo, Harvey and Eriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin! ERIN! ERIN! Beezus wanted to call out her bestfriend, but she was too hungry she couldn't even find her voice. Oh well...the girl seemed a bit busy welcoming a new faces to their nest so she just allowed herself to enjoy the scenery. Beezus even knew one of the new birdlings, Ariella whom she bumped into before boarding the Hogwarts Express.
Beezus rested her hands on the table and pushed herself up a bit to take a look at the Staff Table too. Looks like it was pretty crowded. Oh, that's right. The Board of Governors were there, joining the Feast. She spotted the Headmistress talking with some of the Professors she knew, others she wasn't familiar with...O.o And Professor Christiansen?! Beezus let out a small gasp upon the sight of him.
Gah, it was only the start of the term and lots has happened already it made her head ache. Well...luckily it wasn't as disorienting as the one she had after that Portkey travel. Descending into her seat, she gently massaged her temple.
"You do look pretty with a crown and it suits you," Erin sort of giggled. She's a pride, she truly is. "Vashti was Head Girl too, right? And you're bestfriends if I am not mistaken." Lucky girls. Up until now, Erin still didn't know how the heads of the student body were chosen but she could learn them on her fourth year, might be on her OWLs term or even in her sixth or last year. There were still loads of time.
Cat? Posy? Erin was ready to answer when suddenly, Louisa added the statement, 'Does she still have my name?' A cue for her to miss Enya even more. They were enemies on her first year but they instantly gotten along well on her second term. "How I wished I still have her but Enya took her, remember? And she's best to be her owner. But I bought a new one. Her name's Posy. Your cat should meet her sometime." Well, it was Louisa's last year, the cats should meet definitely.
Louisa chuckled quietly and waved her hand, "It's just a badge, no big deal, really." Not that she wasn't proud and incredibly nervous this term but nope, no crowns whatsoever. Then Vashti came up, what a brilliant cheerful subject at last! Louisa's face beamed and she nodded vigorously at Erin, "Yes! Vashti Greenwell. She's still my best friend, now honeymooning with her husband in Hawaii." While she was stuck in school about to wipe off some firstie's snot.
Not gonna happen for real, though.
Anyways, the cat talk made the seventeen years old feel relaxed even more! She "aah"ed when Erin clarified, "Oh, right. But now you have a cat, you say?! Posy, that's cute." Louisa leaned her elbows on the table and voiced out her thoughts, "Okay, it seems that there are quite a lot of cats in the common room this term. I have two, Viola and a kitten that I haven't named yet. So maybe we can built a cat house in the common room where they all get acquainted and play together while we study and do our business? What do you think?" Louisa was already excited to do this! EEP!

"Thank you, Silvia!" Louisa replied cheerfully, feeling the familiarity of all those faces seeping into her tensed body and soothing her down. "How was your summer, then?" HER summer was fantastic in general so it was a safe question to ask someone in case they deflect.

When Max entered the Great Hall, his eyes fell upon his and Ellie's usual spot at the Ravenclaw table. In the back of his mind he had hoped to see a flash of red hair in that direction - but of course he was being foolish. He did spot Louisa nearby, however, and he decided perhaps it was time for a change. He headed down the length of the table on the opposite side from Louisa.
Upon sitting down across from the Head Girl, Max gave small smiles and nods to everyone already there. "Hey Louisa, how 'bout those adventures?" There was a weary grin, but his tone had a hint of sarcasm. They hadn't been in any real danger with the train dilemma, it seemed - though there had been many scratches and bruises via portkey. It would certainly be a last trip to Hogwarts they would never forget. "Looks like the 'fun' is seeking us out this time around." When a term started out the way it did, there was no denying that more bizarre happenings were just around the corner.
How exciting.
She caught the movement somewhere on the opposite side of the table and her eyes caught Max sliding closer to where the group was sitting... if you count this as a "group". Louisa gave him a way more cheerful smile than the one he got this morning, "Max, hi!" She leaned forward on her elbows again facing him and chuckled, "Yeah, carrying a concussed girl on a stretcher with her boyfriend on a verge of breakdown was the highlight of my day." She shook her head and chuckled once again.
But then it really occurred to her that she didn't see him on the Platform or at the carriages, "How did you do? Are you okay? Did you break anything?" Like... not a vase or other earthly positions, but limbs and bones. He shoulder get it. Right?

SPOILER!!: Louisa
He watched Louisa settle down across from him. Has she cooled off about that incident at the Prefects Compartment? She knows he was just dragged into the whole thing right? "Hey Louisa!" he said in the friendliest, nothing-happened-that-got-you-upset voice he could muster, with a matching bright smile too. And ohhhh now he spots the shiny new badge "Congratulations on being Head Girl!" he added. He meant it, every word.
It sucked that she had to play the serious sterny girl with him now, because she really wanted to extend her cheerfulness over to him and beam and grin and all that. But he stole the identity of a Prefect, whether he regretted it or not, and since she didn't get the chance to actually talk about that she had to keep her beaming and grins at bay. So, she just beamed. Not like a thunder beam but more like a small bulb beam.
"Thank you!" It was more of breathing out than saying the words. But it meant a lot to her to hear it from him, it was valuable from other people too but... Vickers and her had a very unique bond in her head so..
"How are you? Did you have to see the Healer? Did anything happen to you? Or... fall on you?" Because he was tall enough to have all the luggage hitting him first on their way down. OH and she forgot to point out that she now changed topics and was talking about the train breaking down.

Awww, wasn't that sweet? Louisa chuckled, unable to understand the enthusiasm behind Quidditch, but she nodded encouragingly at him all the same. "That's good news. I've had a broom of my own once, too. You know, tried to get this flying thing under control but it got smashed up in the finals and I just gave up." She shrugged and started pouring herself a glass of water as the boy asked her a question.
"It's only been one day and I'm already tired, I tell you. I mean everyone else is tired, I think. What with the train breaking down and us having to take portkeys? Those words were enough for the Ravenclaw to drop EVERYTHING she was doing, including a water pitcher and a goblet, and for her head to snap toward the talker. Maybe at the Common Room. In the next moment, the girl heard Louisa say something, making Gwen smirk. Well. She and Ari had been best friends before even coming to Hogwarts. And that was just what the Gryffindor just replied.
Louisa nodded her head at the Gryffindor, "Yeah. Everyone's either been nursed for mild scratches or bruises, or is with the Healer I think." Her hand started drawing circles on her empty plate as she gave herself another moment to think this over, "Did anyone you know got any broken bone or something serious?" She asked, concern all over her face. No one who was close enough to Louisa were injured as far as she knew, but some of her 'formal' friends were and it felt just as bad. Sigh.
"Just like me and Kita. She's graduated three terms ago and now is married but we're still just as close." Maybe juuuuust a little less since she got her work and responsibilities. Louisa smiled at the both of them then and internally wished they'd stay like that. "Vashti and I were like that too. Just don't let anything comes between you two, okay?" Because Louisa was missing all of her besties so darn much this term already, "Not even a love potion. Cherish those moments." And.. that love potion came from experience. *cough*
Louisa chuckled at Ari's last remark, "Yeah. Oakey's quite an excited lad for a Hufflepuff if you ask me. Is he one of your friends?" Louisa knew him but she wouldn't call themselves friends yet.
Then Gwen congratulated her! Louisa beamed at the fellow fifth year, "Thank you, Gwen. I hope I don't disappoint y'all." Particularly their Head of House, professor Vee. She respected the dude!

She exclaimed guessing that that was a badge indicating the girl as a head-girl....right? Hopefully she wasn't mistaken because that wouldn't be cool at all. And now she was a cooler taller second year!
........................... blink.
Was this girl calling her *choke* Louza? LOUISA. "Louisa." she replied rather curtly before looking down at her chest where the badge was pinned and smiled again at the younger Slytherin, "Thank you, Cassiel. It's new." She knew the girl's name was Cassia, of course. But let's see how do snakes take their names getting all messed up by eagles, shall we? Heheh. "How was your summer?" The young snake seemed to be friends with Gwen, too. Interesting.
