The Eagles, reigning Quidditch Cup champions, sit under a bright navy and bronze banner representing their house. The candles light it up nicely in spite of the gloomy, turbulent skies above.
But sugar-free ice cream just didn't taste like ice cream. Beezus started to grimace at this realization. Elliot didn't really like ice cream! But her next words made her ever so jumpy again. "You don't like chocolate?" the brunette repeated, making sure she heard her correctly..because most would say that everybody likes chocolate. "Me too! I hate chocolate." More so, she was allergic to it. Well..well..looks like they had one thing in common after all. "I agree. Butterscotch is WAY better."
When the blonde told her she wasn't hungry, Beezus did not inquire much further but only shrugged. 1. She knew Elliot was the one word is enough for a wise man type. 2. She was busy eating. Really, she couldn't juggle two things at a time. The brunette grabbed a watermelon slice and began munching on it before responding to her fellow 'Claw.
Jayden? Interesting?
Hmm.
Beezus nodded, actually thinking about it. "I guess so...we're not exactly in very good terms though." The last time she could remember they talked was when she and her boyfriend had teamed up against her. She followed Elliot's gaze and saw the topic of interest with a certain boy. Hold on... "Who's that guy? Isn't she supposed to be with Cael?" She got a new boyfriend?
Having finished the rest of her watermelon, Beezus dabbed her lips with a napkin once again. "Oh, your other best friend's in Slytherin?" Why did Ravenclaws seem to have an invisible thread of attachment to the Snakes?
Elliot merely nodded...yes...she disliked chocolate. She expected the girl to say like OHMYGOD YOU DONT LIKE CHOCOLATE?! but instead she surprised Elliot. She didn't like it either! "You're literally the first person I've met that doesn't like it..." she told her with a small grin.
And now Beezwax girl was eating MORE FOOD. ERMYGOD. Elliot merely stared...watermelon was all right. She supposed.
And oh, what was this?
Not good terms?
Elliot's ears perked. if she didn't like Jayden...maybe Elliot couldn't like her. It all depended on the story. "How come? I mean like...what happened?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. Hmph. ANd oh...Jared. "Caelius is...somewhere. I don't think he goes here anyway. He's Jared, also a Slytherin." Yep. Slytherins were great, weren't they?
And..."Yeah...didn't I just say that?" she asked, a bit harshly, but eh. She didn't care..
And then the annoying head girl said it was time to go...she stood up, pushed her chair in..."Well...it was nice chatting with you. See you later...in the common room or something.."
Beezwax. she liked her nickname for the girl. Now...would she ever reveal it? Maybe. IN time.

Louisa squinted her eyes, thoughtfully, at the two girls. HMMMM. Well, maybe she was not aware of the situation 100% and yes, she did sometimes admit that she can be wrong. SO. "Tell you what, Taylor. Let's go with my theory for about a week. You stay away from him and try to busy yourself with anything or anyone else, okay? And then if it doesn't work, then it means you have to go to the Healer and explain. Or come find me again. Deal?" She offered a small encouraging smile to both of the girls.
Taylor nodded, "Okay, sounds good..." She looked at Ariana then back to Lousia, happy that she didnt have to--- Her eyes grew at the going to the healer part. Tay rapidly shook her head. Taylor refused to go to the evil healer. The quick motion made her head hurt even more so she grimaced, "No healer... I will just come to you again then." She gave a small smile.

perhaps when they were both feeling better.

The older Ravenclaw's face faltered to a very concerned expression, she had never seen Lily in this state before and she was not going to just sit here and watch the little kid be all sad on her first day at school! So she listened carefully, leaned down a bit even because Lily mumbled about a hundred words so quickly and so suddenly.
"Aw, don't worry yourself, Lily." Louisa's arm snaked around her friend's shoulders and she pulled her to her side in a one armed hug, "Someone bandaged your wrist, right? Just make sure not to move it for a while, promise me." And Louisa cursed herself for not being the one to bandage it for her, but the number of injuries were just too much that she lost track of who she'd seen and taken care of and who she'd missed. Not that she was looking for the injured ones, but she did help those that she came across...
ANYWAYS, the girl was crying because of a stinking broom! Louisa swallowed the witty denying remark she wanted to make and wiped Lily's cheeks, looking a bit sternly at her, "Don't cry, buddy. I'll take care of that, and yes you are going to play Quidditch just like you did last term. Otherwise, I won't be attending any games!" She released the girl and used her robe's sleeve to dry her face again, "Everything's going to be okay, I can... fix this. Just trust me." THEEEEEERE. Louisa has to find a way to either buy a new broom for her younger friend, or maybe fix the said broom... but she wasn't going to say anything to Lily. This was to be a surprise for later! EEP!
-------- After A While --------
Huffing and stomping her feet on the floor, Louisa went back to her table and almost flopped right back next to Max when she noticed that the feast was practically over now. She took a few deep breathes to calm herself and push the blush away and went to stand at the foot of the long table. She started, "Okay guy-" she halted... how on earth were they going to hear her? Where was Spike? He had the deep voice.
Anyways, she jumped on the bench and started again, "ALL FIRST YEARS AND NEW TRANSFERS PLEASE FORM A LINE AND FOLLOW ME. WE'RE HEADING TO THE COMMON ROOM." She hopped down the bench and waited for students to follow her instructions, and for Spike to stop stuffing his face with food, hehe, and start leading the kids with her outside the Great Hall.
Lily knew that there was something about Louisa that caused her to feel safe telling about everything, good or bad, but she had never really understood what it was. Until now... The thing was that her older Ravenclaw friend always listened... to anyone that needed to talk about almost anything. Like getting hurt while on the train...
As her older friend asked whether her wrist had been bandaged or not, the third year shook her head no. Once they had reached the platform, Lily wasn't really paying attention to her hurt wrist but instead was more focused on the fact that her broom was in splinters. So she hadn't bothered to get it bandaged. But she did know that she wouldn't be moving it or using it until it felt better. So she gave a little "I promise..." so that Louisa wouldn't worry herself.
Good old Louisa... she knew how to make everything better. Lily's eyes glimmered a bit with hope once her friend said that she would fix the problem. Giving her older friend a small grin, the redhead stopped holding her right wrist long enough to give a big hug to the head girl. A muffled little "Thank you Louisa!" managed to sneak out before the third year went back to holding her injured wrist and attempting to eat something before the feast was over.
As soon as the feast was done and the first years and transfers were getting ready to follow the prefects to the common rooms, Lily carefully got up and headed out of the great hall, grinning at her head girl, before starting the climb up the stairs to get to the common room.

Lex's eye twitched a bit but she gave no other response.
She blinked at her when she ruffled her hair. Uhh...for now she would let that slide; she didn't care about hair anyway. So she nodded and moved on. "Oh yes, believe me I intend to and I haven't been over to Slytherin as yet so I guess I'll start there!"
She turned to leave after her question was answered but drew immediate brakes when it sunk in that she had called the Lainey woman fantastic. She turned slowly on her heels and stared at her with wide eyes. "I thought so too...until she tricked me into having to eat the sorting hat!" What fantastic person would do that to an eager 11 year old?
"See? Extra super double awesome points for making you eat the Sorting Hat. Which, for the record, has to taste terrible and probably will scream like a banshee the whole time. I never eat things that talk to me while I'm eating. It's what separates us from the cannibals." Nod nod nod.
Vivi waved good bye to Lex to indicate the girl was free to run away. Nothing fun happening here.

There was more, but it was more bizarre than he could presently understand, much less explain to an eleven-year old.
Now why was Vivi sinking down nearly under the table? Louisa just ducked under the table too. Was there something interesting happening under there??
Aaaand the former Ravenclaw House Ghost was her Aunt. *blink* And that if she gets lost they have to bring chocolate frogs too *double blink*
2nd Note to self: Research the functions of chocolate frogs in a search and rescue situation.
But it was hearing Vivi's plans after school that got Vickers to get all antsy again over what happened at the Prefect's Compartment. The worry over its consequences was hanging over him like a dark cloud. Was it too much to hope that they would have a great sense of humor and forget about the whole thing? It wasnt like he was still running around calling himself Spike...
No comment? Just shoveling in food and then... getting up to leave? Boy was ruuuuuude. Vivi stuffed some biscuits into her jumper and hopped up too, clearly intending to follow along.
"Where are we..." Oh. Not we. THEY. That's fine. It wasn't like they were friends having a conversation and then they just got up and DITCHED her. Whatever. She'd go talk to Gryffindors. They were awesome. They liked her.
They said goodbye when they left.
Vivi may have kicked Vickers as she flounced off toward the Gryffindor table. Maybe did. She couldn't say for sure, and she wasn't going to turn around to check.
