Addy stumbled a few steps and promptly let go of his arm before landing square on her bottom. Um. Not embarrassing at ALL. She had been pulling a little harder than she realized... then he had to go and get up. SIGHS.

She merely sat there and crossed her arms... although she followed his gaze and AWWWWWW! HOW ROMANTIC! WHY COULDN'T SOMEONE MAKE A GRAND GESTURE LIKE THAT FOR HER?!?!?!

Probably because she was a ginger. HMPH. She had never had it easy.

Hailey was not particularly happy to be back. Nor was she happy about not sitting at her own table--she felt like a complete outsider as she glimpsed the blue and silver glowing from the Ravenclaws around her. She glanced down at her own robes and felt comfort from the little lion staring back at her. At least she wasn't alone.

Hailey looked at Mikey now, nudging him with her elbow.
"So you won't believe what happened," She said. It's not like it was big news, what she was about to tell him, but it was pretty important. To her, at least.
"I forgot Moose at home." At this point, she frowned and tucked her hands under her chin as she stared at her best friend. The one who had gotten Moose for her in the first place.

Yeah, it was easy to see that Hailey was a seventh year. *snort*

Maxwell sighed. "What's more important you and Damon, possibly your life or quidditch?" He said hoping she would see some sense.

Tay sighed, "He probably send me to the healer though..." Taylor frowned, trying to get out of it.

Dylan listened as she talked about her family "Oh I am sorry to hear that Ariella" he said to her as she talked about her mom. "What's it like having siblings?" he had always been curious about that since he didn't have any "Oh I would love to have some siblings get me a sandwich.. though I wouldn't bribe them with candy.. I would use something else to bribe them with" he chuckled though he didn't know what else he could use to bribe them. He smiled it was good that she visited her nans and had her dad at least.

He then shook his head "No I have no idea why they are here.. you got any idea?" he asked her.. maybe there was something in the Prophet that she might have read and seen. He looked up at the table and saw all that were there.. including that Lainey woman.. he wondered why they were here.

Lily was being kinda quiet, sitting off to the side by herself. She had managed to re-injure her right wrist when the train had stopped suddenly, but had also managed to not get hurt when landing from the portkey. Instead when she landed, she broke her broom which she was trying so hard to protect...since it was supposed to last until Christmas. So the redhead was sitting at the Ravenclaw table, by herself, pouting about the loss of her broom, subconsciously cradling her right wrist and occasionally grimacing when pain came.

But she was bored so she started looking around for someone to sit with, when she saw what seemed to be, a very confused Taylor sitting with none other than Lily's favorite older student, Louisa. There was also some other slytherin, but the third year paid no attention to the other girl. Instead, she got up and made her way over to them before sitting next to the new head girl. "Hi Louisa.... Hi Taylor...." Said the redhead, in a voice that sounded somewhat sad. "Hi Taylor's friend..." she added barely lifting her gaze from the ground up to look at the people whom she was addressing.

And she fell ..

Nathan was by her side immediately. She just didn't seem .. Addy enough. What was wrong with her? Concerned as to what was bothering her, the boy went and sat next to her.

Yep. on the floor.

"So whats up?" he asked - like it was no big deal that the both of them were sitting on the floor. "Whats bothering you?"

Nargles... from her ears? Again? Max tilted his head to one side, clearly curious and wondering if it would be rude to inquire on the subject, but then his mouth simply twisted into a smile. She was funny.

"No, no," he shook his head. "I'm truly sorry, we didn't mean to be rude - I just... don't think we've met." Nor have I even SEEN you anywhere. And Max knew, or at least recognized, nearly everyone returning to Hogwarts. And this girl looked older - old enough that Max would have surely passed her in the corridors at some point over the years. "I'm Max. This is Louisa," he gestured across the table. Or had they already met?

His thoughts were interrupted by a loud screeching noise throughout the hall. He turned to find his parents' old professor, Lainey, dragging a trunk down the aisle behind them, headed for the Staff Table. He chuckled to himself - until she slowed down as she passed his fellow Ravenclaws that had also been in the Food Trolley with them. So she really DID have Ravenclaw favoritism? His mom and dad would surely find that less amusing than Max did.

Max kept an eye on Lainey's voyage all the way up to the staff table until she CLIMBED over the top of her chair to sit down. When she did, he turned away and laughed to himself, making a mental note to send a message to his parents later. He turned back around just in time to see the house elves pass. That meant food soon, right?

THE SPEECH. As soon as the Headmistress clinked her wand against her goblet, Max's head snapped in her direction. That meant FOOD was coming soon. FOOD. Perhaps it was a bit childish, but Max was a little giddy over the new Headmistress ALREADY knowing his name. Or... at least he had the opportunity to TELL her his name. She probably wouldn't remember his name, but she might remember his face as the one she entrusted to look out for the kids around the Food Trolley... and to keep an eye on Lainey.

It seemed that he hadn't done such a great job with that one.

When Rae-Branxton and Lainey took their turns to rise, Max couldn't help but grin, and he applauded when all the visitors were introduced. He was sure the former Headmistress wouldn't remember his parents, but they had told him all about her. Only his mother had a term under Rae's reign as Headmistress - she said the school ran much smoother(and was a lot less hectic) than any of her previous terms. Max saw every reason to support her presence at the school.

Lainey on the other hand...

Well, he SUPPORTED her, of course, but his parents had told countless stories of her antics in class. They made her out to be a nutter. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, he supposed, but... it seemed that hadn't changed too much. Max wasn't going to woop.

Tay glanced up from explaining to the headgirl what was wrong, "Oh... um... hi... er... Lily..." Taylor was so confused that she wouldnt be surpise if she had gotten the name wrong.

"Fine...Maybe not him, but talk to someone.." He said needing her to see reason.

Blink. Blink some more.

He was going to get dirty sitting on the floor like that. "I bet there's all kinds of icky stuff tracked about on this floor. Probably even mooncalf dung..." or other kinds of dung for that matter. Just. Icky.

"I hurt my bottom," she said with a pout when he asked what was bothering her, though. CLEARLY she was NOT going to tell him she wished he would open his eyes up and realized that SHE liked HIM.

Maybe the kiss they shared meant nothing to him, though. Boys. Hmph.

Tay sighed, "Fine but who?" She looked at him a little sad.

Maxwell sighed. "I don't know...Is there anyone you're not afraid to go to?" He asked trying not to sound annoyed though she was, in his mind her well being was more important than her fears or distrusts for people.

Tay looked down thinking, "Well... maybe the D.A.D.A. teacher..." She looked up, "She is really nice."

Elliot saw the look on his face....and began to laugh. Quite maniacally, too. Typical Ravenclaw, he was. "Neither am I. I would much prefer to attack with words." And boy, could Elliot be vicious with her words.

Or she could be snarky. That was always fun, too.

She glanced back at Lottie..."I almost thought she wasn't going to get to ride them..." she muttered, a little distracted some little voices in her ear...

House elves.

What in the world were they doing here? She scoffed, but didn't say anything...to the elves. "House elves. Aren't they supposed to be in the kitchens?" she asked, to no one in particular...

And making food? And doing whatever house elves did down there? She had enough of her own house elf over the summer.

He blinked ..
The floor seemed pretty clean to him. Ekh .. he better take a shower before bed then. Yus.

He was almost tempted to say 'do you want me to pick you up in my arms?' but decided against it. It was a cheesy line he had heard in a muggle movie. How very inappropriate, really.

"Come on then," he took her hand and pulled her up with him. "Tell me how can I help, please." he insisted, his voice soft. Because he could not read her at all.

"her cousin." she said to the girl.. taylor was NOT her friend no no no no no.. she just wanted her to be sane again so that she could mess with her "by marriage." she had to point that one out

Mikey was somewhat happy to be back. It meant books, the library and being away from parents for almost an entire year. But this was his final year here and everyone said he should make the best of it. Right. But he felt more comfortable at his own table than Hailey's like the previous years. Mikey was peacefully drinking some pumpkin juice when Hailey proceeded to nudge him.

She had forgotten Moose back home.

Mikey spitted out his juice and tried not to laugh too hard. After all, only Rose wold worry about something like this. But this also that he wasn't getting his Captain America back anytime soon. "Send your mum an owl and ask her to send it here. I really want my Captain America back now," he laughed. Then again, her parents probably wouldn't go out of their way for a toy. Hmph.

Maxwell nodded. "Okay, yeah...Maybe go talk to her after the feast.." He said unsure what else he could do for her.

Cora blinked, surprised. She had expected to be ignored, but clearly this was not the case. In fact, the boy smiled at her, making Cora feel immediately at ease. Well, mostly.

A little louder, she responded, "It's nice to meet you Terry." She let out a small laugh at his statement. "I'm glad you don't bite. I don't bite either, usually, but I can't make any promises." Cora intended that to be a joke, and immediately mentally kicked herself for blurting that out. That was NOT funny, and he would NOT think so, she knew it. It was awkward.

Cora noticed Terry looked like he was searching for an empty spot. Putting the book she was reading aside, Cora added, "If you're looking for a spot to sit, you're welcome to join me." Cora thought Terry MUST have a place to sit with friends and everything, and hoped if he did have somewhere to go, he wouldn't be offended by her offer. Still, Cora was NOT about to let someone wander around when she could easily be friendly. It was her nature to be kind.

Tay nodded, "Yeah, cousins..." She knew better than to think Ariana would be nice enough to be her friend.
Tay nodded, "Okay..." She sighed and laid her head on his chest, "You are the best."

Maxwell hugged her back. "Someone's got to look after you." He said with a smirk. "Besides if something happens to you who's going to set me up?" He asked jokingly.

Hailey watched him laugh and then scowled. This was clearly not a laughing matter...that plush was very important to her! She had already told Moose one of her biggest secrets...okay, maybe it wasn't that big of a secret, but STILL. Moose was very important to her, even though she had only just recently gotten him.

Hailey folded her arms across her chest and stared at Mikey. "I already did! She hasn't gotten back to me yet." As if that wasn't frustrating enough, she was worried Eli might have gotten into her room somehow and ripped Moose apart. But no, she mustn't think about that.

The brunette sighed and then put her head on the table, her hands covering her hair. And then she moaned. Loudly.
"I want my Moose, Mikey!"

Tay laughed and smiled, "You are right, bro." She looked up at him.

"Don't worry, I'm sure she will send it before the term ends. Maybe like a week before so you can be happy!" Mikey teased. Knowing her mum, that's probably what she'll do. But it really wasn't that hard sending your daughter her stuffed toy so she would stop bothering you. Mikey wondered why Rose's parents treated her so. But he was no one to put them in their place.

"We can always get you a new plush in Hogsmeade or something. Not the end of the world yet," he added, ruffling Rose's curls.
