If you're aiming to be the first to Hogwarts, board the train at the front. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.
Was it typical naming a beater bat? Did he just ask her that. Um duh. She chuckled a little and said, "No... It isn't. Only people who love their bats do that. Everyone else was a bad parent." So basically everyone else in the world was a bad parent.
Selina was pretty sure that her head was going to explode at this ickle first year if she kept being as rude as she was being. The redhead never would have dreamed talking so obnoxiously to an older student when she was a first year. Admittedly so, Selina was talkative, but never rude. Older students were not better than the younger ones, but manners were just sort of unspoken nicety that this first year did not observe.
To make matters worse, she was yelling back at a prefect and a captain. Now, Selina and Kurumi weren't wearing their badges, why would they be, but still they were older students. And these firsties had some bloody nerve.
Her eyebrow shot up at the younger students before she turned to her friend and smiled, "Oh hey Kurumi, looks like the term is starting off with a bang, huh?" Never before in Selina's five years of Hogwarts had she ever seem anyone scale the express. Scale the topiary up at the castle? Yes. Never the actual train. It was just really, really dangerous.
But then Kurumi drew Selina's attention to the flyers that sat in her arms. Her face fell a hundred miles an hour and the small smile that graced her lips for that brief moment was gone. Mortimer was missing... He was alone somewhere and cold. No beater bat should be without their mother or father. It was a mad, mad world out there for a bat. Mortimer was just a baby! An ickle baby without his crib and broom polish because Mortimer preferred broom polish over bat polish.
Shaking her head sadly she replied, "Do you think I'd still be handing these out if I had found him? I'm sick to my stomach with worry." That was true. Selina had only eaten yogurt, pancakes, three muffins and a banana for breakfast. She just couldn't eat much food lately- she was worried.
But then the rude first years drew her attention back to them and her sadness was gone in an instant. Instead it was replaced with a hard, authoritative expression that she used on her team during a particularly rough practice. Her eyes turned to slits before she yelled back at them, "Lose focus? You can't lose something you didn't have! Get down!"
After some discussion between the younger students, they all decided to climb down back to the platform. For a moment, Selina contemplated what her next plan of action would be, before she turned to her best friend and said, "Rumi, you may wanna put your badge on for this." Because Selina had a feeling if they saw a prefect badge they might be prone to keep their feet out of their mouths. Then again, with these firsties she couldn't be sure.
Then she approached all of the kids and crossed her arms, "What the bloody hell were you all doing?"
Ronnie died a little on the inside as he said she had his undevided attention. Oh jeez. Well, THAT helped. She was off to a great start now!...not really...
"Erm...well...I've been meaning to tell you this f-for a while, Justin..." she began, biting her lip. This seriously was gonna be harder than she thought!
Justin started having an uneasy feeling inside.... Was she gonna.... Awwww .... Man.... Just when I thought .... he thought as he listened to Ronnie speak, " What is it, Rons?...." Justin asked as he looked into her eyes searching for reason.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

"Yeah, I'm okay. You don't need to worry." And scared. He just gave him a cool smile to the boy, who looked not too young from his age and so much familiar for him. Gary never paid attention to the people who he had ever seen around Hogwarts, even talked to them. The blonde guy just preferred not to talk much. "Really?" That boy had ever seen him around Hogwarts? He didn't realized himself if he was pretty much popular or well-known since he was just a new student.
"Well, I am also a Slytherin." said him calm and extended his hand. "I'm Gary, sixth year." he continued and slightly chuckled to Daichi. This boy seemed like so... hyper? Well, maybe he was glad because of his another year of school. "I do believe it. You sound very.. excited for being a fifth year." But he didn't want to tell about how nightmare is OWLS and that stuffs. It wasn't good to scare the enthusiast-fifth-year-student with OWLS and it's also not good for their health.
What was with all the commotion going on around them? Daichi looked around to see a few first years that had climbed on top of the red train. He gasped softly but could not voice anything because a second later he heard a familiar voice yelling at them. The slytherin chuckled as he saw Kurumi literally flailing her arms and shook his head before he turned to the guy he had just hit.
The Prefect could handle it , she was after all...a Prefect.
"That is where i have seen you before! you are in the same house!" why was he so excited about this? Maybe because he wanted, no needed to make more friends. "You want to be my friend?" Daichi asked bluntly as he looked at the extended hand and blinked a couple of times. But then he got what he was meant to do and quickly grabbed it. Squeezing the hand a little too hard in his haste. "Sorry, i'm used to bowing..."
Yes, well... he better believed it cause it was true! He was a fifth year! One of the big kids! YAY~! "I am excited! but also nervous. I have to do my O.W.Ls this year and i'm scared i will fail" He looked down at his wrist where his phoenix feather wand was hidden and sighed loudly. "Is the test difficult?"
Ari watched as DJ carefully made his way down the side of the train and was quite relieved, it couldn't have been very easy trying to climb down a train with a squirmy cat in one hand and shouting student beneath you. Speaking of shouting students, Ari wasn't looking forward to the talk they were going to be having shortly, they didn't seem to be very happy with the lot of them.
It's not like they had ment this all to happen! They were all just extremely worried about their pets and went up to save them. Well, mostly just save Archer and keep the cats from eating him...
Ari looked over at Alexa and noticed she hadn't moved to get down yet, "Uh Alexa? Are you going to head down and face the limelight..."
To be honest Ari didn't want to face the limelight, the limelight at the moment seemed to be some angy Gryffie's and some worried Claws. Niether seemed very welcoming at the moment...

Just as Lex was about to start her journey down she noticed another girl had climbed up and told her she should get down and Ariella nodded in agreement, wouldn't want to give anymore students a fright, besides things had just started to settle down.
"Be careful!" Ari called out to Alexa as she steadily made her decend. Once she had safely set both her feet on the ground Ari knew her turn had finally come. She took a deap breath secured Archer in her right arm where he was tucked in under her armpit, he was stiff as a board the poor thing.
Ari turned so her back was facing the platform and shakily made her way down one step at a time. Once her own feet hit the ground she turned and faced her friends and the older students and meekly said, "Well that was fun..."

Dylan watched as Alexa seemed to be hesitant in getting down when he saw another girl actually climb the train in front of everyone O_o... he watched as Ariella started her descent from the train and reached the ground. They both looked up at Alexa who was the only one left to get down from the train, she then managed to get the courage to climb down and he heard Ariella telling her to be careful "Yeah be careful, take your time!" he called to her. He knew how tough it was to climb down with a cat in your arm since he had just done that. Soon they were all on the ground and Dylan chuckled as Ariella said that was fun he couldnt help but agree that it had been a fun adventure. Well if adventure had in fact been his nickname then he would have lived upto it. "I agree with you Ariella it was fun to do that" he was hoping that he could get another chance to climb up that train again, what a view you could see sitting on top of the train all the students and their parents standing there below.
He heard one of the older girls ask the other if she wanted to put on her badge.. badge what badge? who were these girls that they had badges. But before he could say anything else one of the girls was asking them what they were doing, Dylan turned around and looked at the girl who looked like a student but older than them. Er.. was this girl blind? hadnt she seen what they were doing.. or had she missed that fact and skipped to the desire to just have fun interrogating them for no reason. He looked at the two girls and then turned to the older student and decided to answer her question as calmly as he could "Well as I am sure you could see our cats had chased her " he pointed to Ariella "owl up to the top of the train and we climbed up there after our cats to get them down and save the owl from becoming their next meal" had she not seen that? And was that so bad that they were suddenly being interrogating in this way, saving your pets from being injured was a good thing... yes?. He then quickly put Leo back into his travel carrier before he could even decide to run up the train again, although he wouldnt even mind actually putting Leo up there on purpose just so he could climb the train again it was just so awesome!

"And there's that blush I love so much," Chace said before planting a kiss on her cheek. "And no, of course not. Do you think I would keep coming back for more if I didn't think so?" Yeah, because there was nothing worse than trying to commit yourself to a kiss that just was not happening.
"I don't think that's physically possible," Chace said with a shake of the head. "Now if you were admiring her lifestyle then I might say you have some things to worry about." Chace didn't know where Abby and him were going to be in the future...he wasn't really one to look too far outside the present when it came to relationships, but even if something happened and they were no longer dating Chace imagined they would still be at least friends. And either way it would be his obligation to make sure that nothing like that happened to her. "Plus, I would never let that happen. You know me, I won't be one to beat around the bush if it becomes and issue either." Chace really didn't get the whole point of being around the bush. Just tell someone how it is and that's that. Saves a lot of time and the possibility of things getting lost in translation.
"I promise I will talk to you first," Chace said with a nod of the head. He wasn't really someone that went looking for trouble but if it was necessary Chace had no problem letting someone know when they are out of line. Chace's smirk widened as Abby began to play with the zipper of his hoodie. He placed his hands on either said of her waist, closing the gap between them slightly. "Well after today I can say that I love your lips. A. Lot."
Chace fought the urge to smile as Abby showed the same look that he had on his face. He watched as the girl headed off to go ask some other kids if they had seen...er...Mortimer. "Is it common to name your quidditch equipment?" Chace asked, biting his lower lip as he looked at the flyer.
"I don't know why you like to see me blush." Abby hated blushing. She had no idea why but she just did. "Okay, well.. I'm glad you do." She smiled up at him. Was it possible that she was falling really hard for this guy?
"I know. The chances of me turning out to be like her is zero.. I mean, my parents will make sure that I don't end up like her even if I want to." Not that she actually wanted to but she was sure Chace knew what she meant. At this point, she had no idea what she wanted to do once she graduated. There was still plenty of time to think about that but she was sure about one thing. She definitely was NOT going to sitting at home. Maybe she'll be a fashion designer.. that was definitely a career option. And, she knew she'll be great at it too. And, Chace's voice distracted her from her random thoughts. "Really?" She could honestly say that was one of the nicest things a guy had ever said to her. "That deserves a kiss." Abby smirked before she kissed him on the lips.
"Good." Abby didn't want Chace getting into trouble because of her.. since he was one of the few people in her life she actually cared about. "You are a great boyfriend." Who listened to every word she said. That was exactly what she wanted. She grinned when he pulled her closer. "My lips?" Abby asked, amused as she wrapped her arms around his neck again. "Why?" She whispered, her eyes wandering down to his lips.
Okay. The girl needed to leave already. Abby was definitely not interested to know WHY people named their beater bats. She folded her arms and waited. Honestly, if the girl didn't disappear in the next two minutes, she was going to have to say something.

Once she had settled on her feet Felix began making himself more comfortable in her arms; that was his favourite way of being carried, he liked the comfort and the freedom.
When Ari came down she giggled at her little comment about it being fun. Hearing that made her completely forget that they might have been in trouble. It had been fun and if she had the chance she would have climbed it again. Too bad she already told Felix that the fun was over, the little guy had settled in comfortably and she knew that once that happened he was over the fun scene completely. "You're right that was so totally awesome! Did you see the looks on their faces when they saw us??" It was pure gold; priceless even. If only someone had recorded that so she could watch it again later on.
Then Dylan walked over to them. She grinned over at him, knowing that he had had just as much fun as her and Ari. She snickered when he agreed with Ari.
But then the scary, crazy, violent red head girl walked over to them looking like they had just committed a crime or something. She took a small step back, remembering the threat the girl had sworn before they came down.
A badge huh? Well what was a badge supposed to do? She thought about it for a moment then realized, no matter what the badge's purpose was she was not going to be sorry for climbing the train. Another thing she was sure of was that she was not going to put Felix in his cage! If she didn't when her father told her to then what made this girl think she would listen to her. No. She clung to Felix and tried to make him as comfy as possible.
Then the scary girl asked a stupid question. She was about to ask her what she thought they were doing on the train seeing as she obviously didn't see them save Archer but then Dylan took over the conversation and answered in a nice, calm way. She rolled her eyes. Dylan should have told her off for being so dim.
She felt slightly annoyed when she heard Ari apologize. They didn't have anything to apologize for. If they hadn't climbed the train then she was positive that Felix would have eaten Archer because she had caught him eating a bird that he had caught in their tree one time. This was ridiculous and she wasn't going to pretend that she was sorry at all. Instead she kept quiet with a slightly defiant look and a subtle pout to match.

Ronnie sighed, not knowing if she should just let him go and be alone for a while or if she should go and see if he was okay. She stood there, watching him walk off with his trolley, thinking. Ah, she'd get to him at the feast or the train. Hopefully, he'd still wanna be friends. She turned and began walking around the platform, wondering if any of her other friends were here yet.

Ariella glanced over to her left and noticed that Alexa had a little pout on her face and Ari giggled. She figured she was a bit put off by their apology. Ari really hadn't seen a reason to apologize but she didn't want the older students breathing down their necks for the rest of year or the professors. How were they supposed to get in any fun mischeif with them constandly watching over them...
"Oh stop pouting," Ari whispered over to Lex, "Everyone's at a little fault here..."
She winked over at Alexa before turing her attention back to the conversation...

Justin stopped for a moment and turned around. He left his trolly and walked back and tapped Ronnie on the shoulder, " Hey, Sorry I was so cold just then..... I just thought that you liked m... I mean you coudl've told me how you felt when I aked you out..... You really made me feel stupid. I do like you Ronnie... I wasn't playing at that... Not even last term. I'm not saying that I don't deserve this for what happend with Ariana, but I didn't expet it from you... I thought you were better than that. Guess I was wrong." he said with an apparent hurt in his eyes...
It was official. This was going to be Nate's worst year at Hogwarts. Since he would have to stalk- I mean follow without being known the slowest person in the whole wide world! He saw Ella who would probably want to meet his little cousin. Since he got a lot stronger and taller over the sumer he went around his cousin, and picked her up in a firemans carry. He then said "Hold on squirt." After that he started to run towards Ella. Before about to run her over he came to a quick halt. "Hey Ella. I would like you to meet my little cousin Julliette, who will be attending her first year at Hogwarts." He said looking at his little cousin. "Squirt I would like you to meet one of my many friends, Ella."
SURPRISE! There aren't any quotes because there WERE SO MANYYYYYY. Pfft, that's what I get for sleeping and going to school
Brooklyn stood frozen as the people around her began to chase after animals and yell and freak out and, and... AUGH. SHE DOESN'T DO WELL IN LOUD CROWDS. WHY????
Ok. Calm. Calm Brooklyn. Brooklyn is CALM. Right.
"Um," finally speaking up and feeling really stupid, she plowed on "it wasn't like they could just use magic. They're... underage, right?" she shoved her cat back into its cage and frowned. "Plus, it wasn't like any parents or legal kids were doing anything. What if the animals had died or something?"

Juliette squirmed and kicked like her life depended on it.
"Let me go!" She yelled, trying to reach her legs to hit Nate in the head. It wasn't successful at all and looked rather ungraceful, so after about thirty seconds the eleven year old gave up and focused on keeping her skirt in place.
"Seriously!" Juliette felt warmth rising to her cheeks as she talked. She was blushing. But really, who would blame her? The wizarding world was a weird place sometimes, but this had to cross five kinds of freak boundaries.
Way to start my first year with a bang, Juliette thought bitterly. As Nate stopped, she waved slightly to Ella, hoping she wouldn't think Juliette was a weirdo.
"I'm the squirt." The eleven year old introduced herself, chuckling kin d of awkwardly at her cousins annoying actions.

The curly-haired prefect found himself on the northern side of the platform when he stepped through the other side. Or at least Gideon had figured that out once he had stepped a few steps away and looked around to determine the location. The train wasn't ready to load so all that there was to do at the moment was wait around, the seventh year careful not to block the barrier and wind up being pushed in the back by another incoming student.
He spotted Genevieve nearby as she should be seeing as she had gone first. That was one person he noticed. "And thus...platform 9 and 3/4s," he remarked before continuring his glancing around for any familiar faces. Now if there was any of his friends around he couldn't be sure as nothing stood out at first. Wait...no. He was hearing raised voices and one definantly sounded like Selina. Sigh. Was there trouble already?

Bang? Ha. Good one Selina.
Kurumi didn't have time to raise an eyebrow thanks to more first years going bloody INSANE on the platform. See, THIS was why creatures were to remain in their cages until they were at least on the train if not until they were in their own respective common rooms. "Here is your cage," Kurumi said as she handed the owl cage back to the one first year with...Archer was it? "Please don't let him out again until we arrive at Hogwarts...and you are putting him in the Owlery." Yes, that was a request, but it was a little more than that.
As to the two who had just climbed back down...they better put their pets back in their cages too...but that should go without saying. Kurumi would ask for their names, but she had the feeling that at least one of them wouldn't give her a real answer, and instead made a mental note to pay extra close attention at the opening feast when they were sorted. All first year's names were announced before the Sorting Hat went on their head and, well, once she had those and what house they were in...she would be going to their Heads of House just to let them know that they had a handful coming.
Watch, most of them would end up in Gryffindor. Sigh.
"Alright, all creatures back in their cages please," Kurumi said, rubbing the bridge of her nose and pinching it now and again - a habit that had rubbed off on her from Lewis. "As punishment," which really wasn't punishment per say. "You all are going to help Selina put up missing posters for her Beater's bat. Put those climbing skills to good use ON the platform." No more train. Climbing benches and poles, fine...go do that and get it out of your system as long as it was for a good cause.
And Kurumi was going to ignore the one student saying that no one of age was doing anything...because Kurumi was of age...had been trying to help...and SOME people had decided to take things into their own hands and not listen. They would learn soon enough.
At least everyone was back on the ground and no one had broken their neck.

Ella was standing beside her luggage, chatting with Logan, when she saw Nate running towards her. Her green eyes widened a little as she noticed he was carrying someone over his shoulder. Hmmm...that wasn't something you saw everyday. She jumped back a bit as he skidded to a halt, a startled smile on her face. "Hi Nate..." The blonde said, eyes traveling from her housemate to his erm...passenger. "Hi Juliette, welcome to Hogwarts."

Guess he should investigate.
"It's insanity," Genevieve muttered, kicking her battered trunk a few feet ahead of her and twirling the trailing end of her ponytail. It was a nervous habit, and one she tried her hardest to avoid doing. It was so particularly... girly and annoying.
She scooted further out on the platform and looked for familiar faces. Silly. She only BARELY knew about three people, and not well enough to smile and wave and ask after their summer. In fact, some of them rather disliked her. Already.

Rude, if you asked her.
"This is sort of a circus. Are there clowns?"
Gideon had to agree there, the train platform could be called to resemble loosely organized chaos for lack of a better phrase. or insanity as Genevieve had called it. Students meeting up with others after a separation of a summer, newbies all nervous and troublesome...an assortment of people and animals at risk of running around or at least making a lot of noise and ruckus. Ah but it was familiar, at least to one who had been doing this for seven terms.
"Not until ye get to Transfiguration..." he mused reminded of a certain class by her mention of clowns. "But ye'll get used to it."Smooth Gert...you never even confirmed she was a transfer. No good to assume because she hadn't managed the barrier before.

She just didn't see the point in all this. If they had let the animals run wild then they would have been scolded for losing control of their animals and when they decided to do the right thing by saving little Archer they were scolded anyway. This is why she didn't trust anyone older than 11!!
Her eyes shifted across to Ari when she told her not to pout. She pulled in her lip immediately, not even realizing that she had been pouting in the first place--not that one could blame her. This as a pretty annoying situation. Her eyes went back to the older girls. She didn't want to end up in a house with either of them. She might have gone mad...or otherwise washed up on some beach in the middle of nowhere if she was to land in their house. That didn't sound like a very nice thing at all.
A small smile came to her face when Brooke came over and spoke what she had been itching to say...only thing is, just like Dylan, she had done it in a nice way. What was wrong with these guys and sugar coating stuff?! Still she did make a valuable point. "Yeah, what if Felix had gotten to Archer, would you have been happy then?" She knew for a fact that at least the one who was supposed to be wearing a badge would have felt terrible if that happened.
She watched her handing Archer's cage to Ari then instructing her to put him in it. Her brows crinkled when she turned to her and Dylan and ordered them to cage their animals as well. She didn't want Felix in a cage and more importantly Felix did not want to be put into a cage! Why couldn't this girl just understand that?
"PUNISHMENT?!?!?!?!?!??"
She didn't mean to blurt the word but she was still just shocked. Punishment?! Seriously?! "For what?" They hadn't done anything wrong! And who was she to be giving punishments anyway? Hmph! Punishment for saving the day, now she knew why the world barely had superheroes anymore; they all must have run into her at some point in their career.
Oh...was that all...? Okay she would calm down. It didn't sound that bad. Fine. She would accept the punishment without much more fussing, but only because she didn't want her to start giving some long lecture like thing that Lex often pretended to listen to. She sighed. "Alright fine." She shifted Felix to her left hand then held out her right hand to receive the flyers. At least she would get to climb some more!

"So how has you summer been?" He asked his fellow Badger/housemate. "Oh whoops. Almost forgot about ya' squirt. Now I'll put you down." After he said that to his little cousin aka Julliette aka squirt, he put her back down gently on to the ground. He glanced around to hear what Kurumi had said. "Hmmm, Kurumi." He muttered to himself glancing over at the gryffyndor female prefect. They weren't the best of friends. They weren't even friends at all. After what she did to him during his first year. She silenced him, now he dispised her.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

"I don't know. I just like the way it looks on you." Chace was at a loss of words to really describe what exactly it was that it did for him, but he just really liked the look on her. And honestly taking the effort to try and figure out how to explain it was just something that was not really Chace's forte. He wasn't exactly a poet. But she knew he liked it and that he thought it made her look even prettier, so message received right?
"Of course," Chace said as if the comment was obvious. "I mean I would hope that you would pay me the same courtesy if I was starting to act or become something that we both know I hate." But Abby was totally right. With the combination of him and her parents there was no way that that was ever going to happen. And truthfully he was surprised that her own parents weren't saying something to her about it. Surely they weren't okay with their mid-twenty year old daughter sitting around doing nothing with her life. "Don't her parents ever say anything to her about it? Or her sister...I mean if I had siblings that whole set up would definitely not be happening." Letting someone bum off of his hard work when they were perfectly capable of working hard themselves? Uh..no. Get real. Chace pulled her close again as Abby reached up to give him a kiss. Getting kissed for being yourself by an incredibly attractive girl that was now his girlfriend for being himself? Yeah...Chace could definitely get used to that.
"I know," Chace said with a nonchalant shrug before he smirked at her. "You're turning out to be an awesome one yourself you know..." Chace was about to bend down to demonstrate why he liked her lips so much when he heard the sound of that girls voice again. Uhh...hadn't she walked off already? What did she have hawk like hearing or something because that question had definitely been said soft enough to only be heard by Abby's ears. Chace gave her a dead pan look. Did she seriously just refer to herself as that inanimate object's parent? "Right...well...good luck with that," Chace responded, not hiding his judgmental emotions from his voice very well.
Chace could tell that Abby was getting annoyed given the fact that she had folded her arms across her chest and was eyeing the girl with a look that Chace hoped he would never be on the receiving end of. In an attempt to be left alone, Chace unwound Abby's hand and led her over to where his luggage was. They were getting ready to board soon, right?

Ariella took that cage from the girl and flashed her an extremely quick thankful smile. She opened it up and let Archer climb in, happy to be in the cage for once in his life. She closed that cage door and locked it, making sure it wasn't to come undone again.
"I was planning on putting him in the owlrey in the first place," She said as she straightened her clothes and ran her finger's quickly through her hair. She watched as her friends put their cats in their cages and as Brooklyn came to their defense. She smiled at her, it was a nice attempt, but Ari was sure that they were in for it...
Ari giggled as Alexa sassed back to the older girl but stopped as the student brought up....punishment. Greeat! Fantastic! This was just wonderful! Hopefully her father won't hear of any of this... Oh well, all she was trying to do was save her owl's life, that had to count for something...
"Flyers? For a missing bat? Like a beater's bat?" Ari was confused but stuck her hand out like Alexa and waited for some of the sheets of paper, muttering under breath, "Well that's not as bad as I was expecting, let's just get it over with..."
