When you first enter the Muggle Studies classroom, you can once again hear a variety of Muggle Superhero theme songs playing in the background and filling the classroom with excitement. On the front stage, a huge map of the world is hanging from the ceiling with all of the seven continents clearly highlighted.
Hanging on the walls are huge blank posters. Huge Balloon arches filled with blue, red, green, and black balloons are hanging from the ceiling and reach the floor.
There is a table in the corner with a variety of cookies decorated with the symbols of Muggle Superheroes and Villains. There are also glasses of Muggle Kool-Aid in Green, Blue, or Red.
There are no desks in the room, just a variety of different colored bean bags laid out all over the place. The bean bags have been charmed to be extra squishy and comfy.
On the board in the front of the room is a note that states:
Quote:
Welcome to Muggle Studies!
Please grab a cookie...or two...and have a seat in your soft bean bag!
See you in a few minutes!
OOC: Please come in and have a seat. Feel free to have small conversations but remember that Gemma is always watching. Class will officially begin this evening....

*To be updated as the lesson progresses...feel free to answer old questions if you come in late OOC, just make sure you put Makeup or Catching Up or something like that in your title of your post...and never RP your charrie coming in late to class*
Faaantastic. He had to go up in front of the class and talk AGAIN. Why did Cerulean always try to push the shy ones out of their comfort zones? He wrinkled his nose over at Emmaleigh, silently expressing his dismay, but he began to think about two heroes, Muggle and Wizard. Hmm...
All right. Easy enough. He had his two people in mind and he made his way up to the front of the classroom when it was his turn. He grabbed a blue marker, stood by the Muggle poster, and started to explain, "I think William Shakespeare was a hero because he energized theater and poetry and stuff like the world had never seen before." He turned to quickly scribble the name on the list, much too aware that people were watching him.
Moving over to the Wizard poster, Max briefly explained, "And Bowman Wright is a hero to the Wizarding World - and Golden Snidgets - because he created what we know today as the Golden Snitch used in Quidditch. Before, the Golden Snidget was used as the item sought by the Seeker, but Mr. Wright came up with an invention that saved the endangered bird from extinction." Which also, of course, probably good for the morale of Quidditch players everywhere. He scribbled the name on the poster hurriedly and retreated to his beanbag chair, not making eye contact with anyone as he went.

Hearing the professor's story made Emmanuelle choke up even more. She had no idea what she would do without her brother! Wiping the tears from her eyes, she listened to the instructions for the activity. A muggle superhero? Well, she did have one in mind...... She grabbed a marker and went to write the heros down on a poster.
Muggle Superhero:
Bill Clinton- after serving as the 42nd U.S. President, he founded the Clinton Foundation to help fight global hunger and injustice; is still well liked by people from all over the world
Wizard Superhero
Harry Potter- rid the world of Voldemort. Boom.
When she was done, she went back to her bean bag, grabbing some more cookies and kool aide on her way.

"Welcome everyone once again to Muggle Studies. This will be our final lesson of the term...my how time has flown by this term!" she said with a little nod up and down. "We have focused on superheroes and villains from the Muggle community over the past few lessons and today we take those lessons to a new level."
Slowly she motions to each of the posters that are blank and hanging around the room, "You'll notice that the posters this class are blank...that's because ya'll are going to help me identify whom you each believe are the real superheroes in the history of both Muggle and Wizarding Society."
"So, let's get this started with a little review to get your brains going...Please remember to raise your hand with your answer....Everyone please share one trait that you feel like a Superhero should possess.."
she said a she walked to the board and picked up a marker to start writing down all of the answers.
Befelda sit up straight when she saw Professor Cerulean greeted the class and started the lesson. The first question was about the Superhero traits. She raised her hand at once and answered, "Professor, one trait that a Superhero should possess was bravery. The Superhero must be brave enough to fight for what she/he truly believes and for his/her own country or nation.", she confidently answered. She knows a couple more but preferred not to tell to give chance to other students to answer.
SPOILER!!: Personal hero

"You can clearly see the connection between the two...and from looking at your list of qualities a superhero has...it's obvious that many of the qualities could be linked to simple heroes...now I"m not saying that being a real life hero isn't extraordinary, but it is more likely to happen in our world and Muggle world than to see Superman flying around." she stepped a little bit forward. "I want you to examine the very simple definition of a hero and look at the qualities of superheroes that we put on the board....think about your own life and share someone close to you that you know personally that you would consider a hero and tell a short summary of why you consider them a hero..." she said encouragingly walking toward the first blank poster.
When the Professor said to share the personal hero, Befelda quickly thought of her grandfather. She raised her hand and answered, "Professor, I would consider my grandfather a hero. He joined the Muggle Military Academy during his time thru different countries like Vietnam, Korea and United States. And he fought for the said countries during the WWII. My grandfather was known for his bravery, courage and determination and he will always be remembered by our family.", she bravely answered. She couldn't help but feel proud about her grandfather. "And also Professor, I also consider my parents as heroes as without them, I'm not here with all of you right now." she added.

She quickly continued, "There are always famous people from our history both Muggle and Wizarding that can be considered real life superheroes because of the amazing feats that they accomplished during their times...these individuals were influential not only during their times but in the future of the world..." she said as she walked to the next poster hanging from the ceiling. "For instance, in the Muggle World, a real life superhero could be Isaac Newton. He was a nEnglish physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist, and theologian. His law of universal gravitation and three laws of motion laid the groundwork for classical mechanics." she said as she wrote his name on the poster. "Or those men and women that fight for our various countries in the armed services and such could be considered real life superheroes..." she wrote this on the poster. "An example in the Wizarding World could be Albus Dumbledore..." she finished by writing his name on the poster.
"If everyone will grab a marker..." she said motioning to a little basket below the remaining two posters on the walls, "Please come up and give us an example of a real life Muggle Superhero and a Real Life Wizard Superhero and what they did they makes you feel like they are a hero and then add their names to the appropriate poster..." she said as she wrote Muggle in the middle of one poster and Wizard in the middle of another.
Befelda was keen and confident about her answers. There are too many Muggle and Wizard superheroes that she know but one of each of the categories has marked in Befelda's memory.
She stood up, walked up straight to the basket to grab a marker and walked to the board and wrote down:
Quote:
Muggle World:
Diana, Princess of Wales - she's known as a very soft and kind-hearted Muggle who's well known for her fund-raising work for international charities. She never fails to help the poor, needy and ill children especially in the poor countries of Africa and South America. The Princess developed an intense interest in serious illnesses and health-related matters outside the purview of traditional royal involvement, including AIDS and leprosy
Wizarding World:
Auror Harry Potter - he was the only boy who lived when Lord Voldemort tried to kill him but instead the killing curse back fired because of his mother's love for her. He faced every challenge on the first years of his life and had fought and killed Lord Voldemort to save Hogwarts and fight for the good. His courage and bravery as a Wizard had paved way to unite every single Witch and Wizard as one to fight for love and friendship.
After writing down her answers, she put down the marker and headed back to her bean bag. On a second thought, she dismayed herself for not taking some cookies before taking her seat.

She made an apologetic face at Max before curling up on the beanbag beside Kurumi.
"No capes today?" She nudged the girl and offered a half smile. How could they even take this class without capes or masks or costumes?
Glancing up from her parchment, Kurumi smiled and wiggled her fingers at Vivi as the girl sat down in a beanbag chair beside her. "I would never be the sort of superhero to wear a cape anyway," she replied with a small shake of the head. Far too much that could go wrong with them. Kurumi was actually thankful for the lack of costumes. Made everything a little more topic oriented and far fewer distractions.

One trait of a superhero. Hmm. Was it important to differentiate between hero and superhero for this? Kurumi didn't really want to think so, but the characters of comic books were, well, not exactly like normal people. After thinking a bit more, Kurumi raised her hand. "A hero is willing to make sacrifices, no matter how high the cost, in order to do what is right."

And this bit of the lesson was something far too personal for Kurumi to willingly share out loud. Really, there were a lot of people in her life that she would consider a hero. Her father was one, of course. The man had made the ultimate sacrifice to protect his family. But that wasn't something she wanted to share - that, and it wasn't common knowledge to the rest of the world that there was no Hollingberry family line...
Her mother was another hero. One who she had never seen as one until her final moments and something that Kurumi would forever regret. Her mother had been so strong, brave, self sacrificing...but she hadn't always gone about it in the right way. She had given in to fear and, even if the definition said that a hero always showed courage, Kurumi didn't think any normal person was capable of doing that ALL the time. Everyone had their moments of giving in. It was rising after the fall that made them a hero and her mother had certainly done that.
Then there was Selina, her best friend, who she admired so much that the sixth year probably had no clue. Selina was everything that a Gryffindor embodied and, well, a lot of things that Kurumi strove to be herself.
Unable to raise her hand on this question, Kurumi instead wrote her thoughts down on her parchment. This was far too personal for the seventh year to share.

Grabbing a marker, Kurumi waited her turn to write on the board. "My father enjoys listening to old music and one of his favorite musicians is Louis Armstrong. I think he is a hero because he helped integrate a very divided America and nearly all present day music is indirectly influenced by him. Not only this, but he showed limitless diligence and relentless positivity." And with that Kurumi added Louis Armstrong's name to the list of Muggle heroes.
For her Wizarding hero, Kurumi took the term a little more loosely. "For my wizarding hero I have selected Arabella Figg. She may have been a squib, but her deeds are only know to wizarding kind so I believe she fits into this category. Despite having no magical abilities, she still risked her life to help protect Harry Potter and was a member of the Order of the Phoenix." And Kurumi then added her name to the poster, capped her pen, and returned to her beanbag chair.

Laura looked at the Professor and sighed, she knew a very good Muggle Hero, "Professor Kenny Dalglish has got to be the Muggle Hero i'm saying, you see he was in charge of Liverpool FC when 96 Liverpool Fans lost their lives, it was a terrible tragedy and Kenny Dalgish knew that, what he did next makes me cry, you see he attended each and every funeral, even though he didn't know them personal, they were fan of the football club he managed and so he felt it was his duty to go to there funeral, I believe he even made the football players go as well." Laura stopped there she could have gone on for ages.
Laura had to think of a someone from the Muggle World. "I would have to say Headmaster Snape." Laura smiled. "He help the boy who lived." There was nothing else she had to say about him.
Well she had many, but if she had to choose one out of them all it would definitely be her best friend and now more than just that, Thomas. Maybe he wasn't a goody two shoes but there was something about him that made Nessie look up to him. She liked how he was daring and brave and even though people thought he was bad really he had a heart of gold.
This Ness wanted to keep to herself though and decided not to answer this question aloud. She awaited the next question and then pouted as she tried to come up with an answer. She then, with a marker began scribbling down two people like everybody else.

GULP.
If Kat had to rephrase what Professor Cerulean said, it would've been 'Who is your hero and why?'. The blonde stayed quiet for a few minutes. Of course, some knew who she'd choose while some don't. The people who knew about it also knew why her father was chosen as her hero.
Hesitant at first, Kat had to pluck up courage to answer and raised her hand. "Uhmmm... my hero would be my dad," PAUSE. She had to make that sink in so that it would be dramatic like those movies. But she also paused because she had to swallow the lump on her throat that made it hard for her to continue speaking. "I chose him because ever since I was just a little witch, my dad was the one who raised me with all the love I needed despite the absence of my mother. He gave his everything to support the whole family. I knew he loved each and everyone." Yes, loved.
"But now he's gone..." Sadness was building in her chest and she wanted to groan... She was still hurt. In fact, she thinks her heart will never heal. It's like something just pierced it and left a permanent scar.

Before Kat let the tears attack her face, Professor Cerulean had them think up of a Muggle superhero and a real life wizard superhero. Kat took a few minutes to think of other heroes that the others did not answer yet. HMPH. The blonde obviously hated it when someone else took her answer.
Finally picking an answer, Kat stood up and took a marker. She then wrote her 'heroes' on the board.
Quote:
Muggle Superhero Mahatma Gandhi - An Indian leader who brought nationalism to his country (India) when it was still ruled by Britain. He led India to independence and inspired many people with what he did.
Wizard Superhero Albus Dumbledore - Former Headmaster of Hogwarts. He died trying to save Harry from being killed by the Death Eaters when they were able to infiltrate the school after the rise of Lord Voldemort.
After writing, the blonde placed the marker back to its place and retreated back to her seat.

Gemma clicked into the room in a tailored black suit jacket and pencil skirt with silver sparkly heels on. She smiled at each of the students as she clicked through the classroom. This lesson was going to be a little bit different than the others. It would be less theatrical in a sense.
When she finally reached the front of the room, she glanced across the class and then walked to the board and erased the welcome message and then she turned back around.

OOC: Okey dokey...class has started so please don't post your charrie coming in late...please remember to raise your hand before you answer. I'll leave this question up until the morning allow more answers...Remember Gemma is watching so keep the conversations to a minimum...
Time had indeed flown by this term, but that wasn't a bad thing. She couldn't believe that she would be a fourth year next year. It didn't seem like she had already been in Hogwarts for three years. She didn't like Muggle Studies, but for obvious reasons she attended. She just had to do what was necessary to get the job done.
They were still on the muggle super hero thing and she had actually learned a few things about them. What were some good traits? "I think bravery is a must." she said with a raised hand. She had hoped that nobody else had said that because she was in her own little world and wasn't really paying attention to anybody else and their answers.
SPOILER!!: 2nd

Somebody that Hannah considered a hero? The first person that came to her mind was her dad. Her dad was awesome. She raised her hand. "Professor, my dad is my hero. He is the sole provider of my family and always look out for us." She thought that he did some things work wise that weren't up and up, but that wasn't something that everybody needed to know. "He is a brave man and would do anything for his family." That pretty much summed it up.
SPOILER!!: 3rd
As each student mentioned their personal heroes, the professor wrote their name and the name of their personal superhero on the blank poster hanging from the ceiling until slowly but surely the poster was full of names. Finally, she added her name and her brother's name, "Thank you everyone for sharing your personal heroes...my personal hero is my brother...I only have one brother whom is younger than me....he disappeared many years ago but he was always so strong and optimistic....and I know he's out there being someone else's hero right now and that someday I'll get to see my hero again..." she let her words fade off and was internally pretty proud of herself for sharing even this little opening to her past with her brother.

Now they had to name a muggle and wizard hero. The wizard would be easy, but the muggle hero, not so much. She really didn't think that any muggle was a hero of any kind. She would just have to write down one that she knew and go with that.
She grabbed a marker and wrote down her two choices.
Wizard Hero:
Kinglsey Shacklebolt - Protected the Minister of Magic.
Muggle Hero: Elizabeth Cady Stanton - Fought for women rights.
Obviously if you protected the Minister of Magic then you were pretty awesome and powerful and that was two things that Hannah needed in her life. The chick that started women's rights conventions was pretty awesome herself because women were awesome too... obviously.

Who was their personal heroes? He was juuust about to raise his hand when he decided to pull it back and sit tight in his seat. His Uncle was his hero, for a man who probably wouldnt have lived past his teens the man had the strongest fighting spirit to live that this Ravencalw has ever known. Made his teenage angst look insignificant next to what his Uncle was going through to this day. But he also knew his Uncle relied on the fact that his health issues are not to be disclosed for fear of compromising his position. So the boy keeps quiet.
And now the Professor moves on to Muggle and Wizard Heroes. The Wizard part was easy enough for him, it was the Muggle part that he had to think about. He spotted the name of Abe Lincoln, the first name that crossed his mind, so he had to think of someone else...
Finally he stood and wrote these on the posters....
Wizarding Heroes: Hermione Granger= because she didnt let anybody stop her desire for learning and for doing the right thing despite that she was constantly discriminated for being Muggleborn
Muggle Heroes: Mother Teresa of Calcutta= because she selflessly served the most poverty and disease stricken of Muggles without expecting anything in return.

Louisa smiled at all the others' stories of their close heroes. Most of them were pretty predictable heart-warming and cute. She smiled at Max and a couple of others when they spoke up before turning her attention to the professor again.... who also shared her brother's story. Aww. This was why she liked professor Gemma, she tried to relate to the students as much as possible and lower the student-teacher barrier. It worked.
For the next question, Louisa had to think for a few moments about a suitable muggle hero that wouldn't cause heated debates or any misunderstanding. She watched some of her classmates coming up to the board, nodding her head at the good choices, then got up on her feet and went to the white board.
Muggle Hero Neil Armstrong: The first man to walk on the moon. He showed all the muggle world that nothing is impossible when you really believe in it and put all your efforts into achieving it.
Wizard Hero Tilly Toke: She saved the lives of several Muggles during the Ilfracombe Incident in 1932.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
Next it was her turn to head up to the posters and give her examples of heroes. This wasn't an easy task for her. There was hardly anybody in history who she didn't consider an idiot for one reason or another and in fact many of them deserved their so called untimely deaths for being as dumb as they were...but she couldn't very well have scribbled that on the poster now could she? No...that would be wrong--true, but still wrong.
She paused at the poster for an extra few minutes trying to think of someone who didn't get on her nerves but this was hard because she knew very little about old wizard history and the wizard people who did great things.
Hmmmm....
She had it!
Quote:
Muggle: The fireman that lives up the street from me. He's saved a lot of lives and doesn't think twice before putting his own life on the line. Once a house on our street caught on fire and a kid was stuck inside...they said the kid wouldn't make it but he ran in there after him and got him out okay.
She wasn't sure if he was the kind of hero the professor meant but she saw him that way--and he had a brain so....
Quote:
Wizard: Dobby the house elf. He risked his life to save Harry Potter and was always there for him even when he was threatened; it's because of him why they were even able to escape that one time.
And even if that one wasn't what the Professor meant she wouldn't change her answer. He was a true hero just like anyone else!

Muggle Hero: Nelson Mandela - instead of sitting there during Apartheid complacent he acted. Also he wanted real equality he said "i fought against white supremacy and black supremacy...". he also never took revenge and it was him that set the precedent that led to the transition in the 1990's peaceful
Wizard: Harry Potter - He never wanted to be a hero, yet he was a hero. He was ready to die to save Hogwarts and its students
Gemma walked up to each poster excitedly and read each of the student's answers...they were amazing and perfect. She turned back to the class with a smile, "Ya'll have done amazing naming some examples of heroes from both Muggle and Wizarding Worlds!" she said clapping a little bit.
She walked back up to the front of the classroom and flipped the board over and then turned back to the class, "Since this is the last lesson of the year, we will conclude with our final for the term. It is more of a homework assignment but you will do it in class..." she said as she started writing in her pretty handwriting on the board.
"You will have two options to choose from and I'm excited to see what you come up with...feel free to use any of the books in the room or even the posters from the different lessons to help you out.." with the mention of the posters, a variety of superhero and villain posters unrolled from the ceiling.

Muggle Studies Final Assignment
Option 1: Hero Holiday
Create a Holiday in honor of your favorite Real-Life Hero.
Explain, in detail, the Holiday you've created! It should include the following aspects:
* Whom you're honoring?
* Date of Holiday
* Why does this person deserve a holiday in their honor?
* Colors or traditions that are associated with your holiday
* Name of Holiday and the story behind the name
Your explanation should be atleast 5 inches long (5 paragraphs long with at least 5 complete sentences in each paragraph with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation) and should include all of the aspects above.
Extra Credit:
Create an invitation for someone to attend a party on your Holiday.
Option 2: Heroes ABCs
Create an ABC list of Real-Life Heroes. Your list should include more names than just those listed in class. Please limit using only five names mentioned in class. These names can be either Muggle or Wizard Real-Life Heroes. You need to label each name as either Muggle or Wizard. This means you would have a total of twenty-six names in alphabetical order and labeled either Muggle or Wizard.
Extra Credit:
Create a book cover for your Heroes ABC Book. Create a fun title and include atleast five images/pictures of real-life heroes from your list on the cover.
Please remember to include your character's name, house, and your profile number in your post.
She looked back at the students with a smile, "You may begin at any time. Please feel free to have fun with this and be as creative as you can be! I want to see what you have learned or believe!"
OOC: This is going to count as the final assignment. Please remember to post your assignment within this thread. I will leave the thread open until Saturday, December 1 at 11:59 pm CST. Once you have posted your assignment, please feel free to rp leaving. Also, feel free to catch up to earn points for the lesson....just make sure to put catching up in your title that way I know that's what the post is for...Thanks everyone!

Someone who was a hero in the Wizarding world and in the Muggle world? Vivi sort of felt like she'd already covered that, considering her embarrassing reference to her famous mother and all. Famous in the Wizarding world? Check. Would it be rude to add that to the list, though?
Yes, probably. Vivi studied her classmates as they went to the board, and then she followed suit to add her own additions to the growing lists.

She returned to her seat and pulled out her quill and parchment, propping up her feet on Kurumi's beanbag as she did so. Which of these assignments seemed most interesting? She wasn't much into creative writing, which made the latter more appealing. Her eyes shifted once again to where her friends sat before Vivi settled in to begin her work.
In-class assignments were the worst; Max much preferred the opportunity to go work in a quiet, solitary place and work at his own pace. Ah, well - he was glad he brought multiple-subject textbooks with him this class; he knew he was going to need it. The first option of the assignment didn't appeal to him at all, so the second one was the way to go. Of course, he knew of many potential heroes, but... what about those obscure, weird letters? Like... Q, X, and Z? He couldn't think of any people with names starting with those letters off the top of his head.
Pulling out multiple sheets of parchment and a self-inking quill, Max labeled the sheet straight down in alphabetical order. He filled out a few obvious names and found that, as he kept going, the Wizarding people were quite easy to list off; when he reached thirteen random wizarding people he thought were heroes, he moved onto the Muggles, which was undoubtedly much harder, especially since he only had thirteen letters left to use. After countless long minutes of digging through his textbook and using the index to find suitable people to list, Max completed his last letter.
Next, Max decided he would take a shot at making some kind of cover since he seemed to have finished up before most others. He very lightly and carelessly doodled a border of sorts around the corners of a blank sheet of parchment as he began to brainstorm a title. He wasn't the most creative with titles; he felt restricted when he had to shorten big ideas, and he would rather write a few paragraphs than have to come up with a 'creative,' short title. He came up with something that was very to-the-point, sprawled it in big letters, then scribbled his name at the bottom. To add decoration, he used a quick image-copying spell he had recently read about to copy images from his textbooks and place them carefully on his parchment.
...Well. The images hadn't copied and pasted themselves as neatly as he would have liked, but it was good enough. Probably. Cerulean seemed to be quite lenient and appreciative of everyone's attempts at creativity. But... just in case the images were sloppier than he thought they were, he explained who the people were on the flip side of the parchment.

When she finally reached the front of the room, she glanced across the class and then walked to the board and erased the welcome message and then she turned back around.
OOC: Okey dokey...class has started so please don't post your charrie coming in late...please remember to raise your hand before you answer. I'll leave this question up until the morning allow more answers...Remember Gemma is watching so keep the conversations to a minimum...
Taylor raised her hand, "Professor, a superhero needs kindness as one of their traits. Without kindness they wouldnt want to help others so it is a must-have trait." She laughed and smiled, hoping that she would like her answer.

"Through the history of both Muggles and Wizards there have been real heros that have helped shape the future of each and both of our worlds and communities....but let's start a little closer to home..." she said with a little nod up and down.
"I want you to examine the very simple definition of a hero and look at the qualities of superheroes that we put on the board....think about your own life and share someone close to you that you know personally that you would consider a hero and tell a short summary of why you consider them a hero..." she said encouragingly walking toward the first blank poster.
OOC: Thanks everyone! We'll be back soon to post the next part! Don't forget the rules....
Taylor raised her hand again, "I think that my mother would be a hero because she is very kind and caring. She stayed with my father until his death so that she could give us the best life possible despite not being in love with him. My mother would do whatever possible to keep my siblings and me safe. She stayed kind-hearted despite all the sadness, danger and sacrifices that were in her life." She smiled, being completely honest. "Her name is Elizabeth Lupin..."

The Real-life hero I am honoring is the playwright, William Shakespeare. He was a playwright who lived 1563-1616. William was a British writer who was sometimes called the Baron of Avon. Shakespeare wrote about 38 plays as well as over 150 sonnets and two narrative plays. He was a father of three. His writings have survived hundreds of years and had become beloved classics as well as must reads for some schools.
The holiday is on April 26. It is the day that he was baptized. April plays a big part in his life because three important things happened in that month. April the 26th is the closest to his birthday that we can know. It is close to his death date as well. The holiday will take all weekend if it lands on a day between Friday and Monday.
This person deserves a holiday in their honor because he is an amazing playwright and writer. William inspires even people in this day and age. He is a well-published writer who is praised even to this day. William is a well published and acknowledged writer in his age, in ours and in between. He was able to write even with three kids. A lot of pop culture alludes to one of his many works. William Shakespeare is a big part of the muggle and our world so we should honor him by giving him his own holiday.
The colors of the holiday are red, white and blue for the British flag because he was British. The traditions of the holiday would be to dress up in costumes of his time period. Another tradition is to go to see one of his plays being performed and perform in one of his plays. Visiting his birthplace and writing your own play would also be some of the traditions for the holiday. To celebrate the holiday, you must talk and act like you are in his time period. It would be a national holiday so all businesses and schools shall be closed. Drinking tea and having meals with your family and friends is the tradition to end the holiday with.
The name of the holiday would be Play Day. It gets its name because William Shakespeare is a playwright. It also gets its name from the traditions of writing a play, performing a play and seeing plays on the day of the holiday. A nickname for the holiday is Willie Day because it is all about William Shakespeare and his plays. The critics of the holiday call it Shaker Fakers because of the dressing up and the speaking of the Old English.

Okay, so yeah. It sounded like a lot of work at first. But once Emmanuelle got started, she realized that it wasn't really that much at all. Either that, or she was just ona roll. Which ever it was, she was finished quicker than she thought was possible when the assignment was given. She even had time to do the extra credit work! She hoped it was good enough, because her skill in this area was very much lacking.

Bell Day!
Alexander Graham Bell was a muggle inventor who created what is possibly (for muggles at least) the most important device of all time. The telephone. With this device, it became easier for muggles to communicate with loved ones who lived far away. Thus enabling children to move away from their irritating and irrational parents, while making sure said parents knew their offspring was okay. Provided the offspring remembered to call.
Anyway, we'd celebrate the holiday I created in this man's honor on March 5th. Why March 5th? Well, that's because it's his birthday. And what better day to celebrate Mr. Bell than his birthday? I can't think of one (besides the day he actually invented the phone. Nope, too late, can't change it!).
And how would we celebrate this day, you ask? Simple, by playing phone games, such as phone tag, or guess who's at the other end of the line. There would of course be parties everywhere with magnificent food. And a phone shaped cake. Now that would fun. The nights festitivities would conclude with an awsome firework display.
What would we call it? Why, 'Bell Day' of course! It is his last name, after all. And what could be easier to remember or pronounce (or remember to spell) than that? Plus, it wouldn't get needlessly shortened like others (*coughcoughChristmascough*).
So, that is my holiday. A celebration of the greatest thing known to muggles and the man who invented them. How far away is March 5th! I want to celebrate already! And have some phone cake.

Blahhh, this absolutely sucked! Though, Theodore did feel that he had an advantage from ALL of those chocolate frog cards he's been collecting for two years now. And from being a muggle born, he DID have that background information, too. Maybe it would all be okay. Okay, quill to paper. Theo scratched down a few obvious ones to begin with. Famous quidditch players, inventors, other chocolate frog card inhabitants.
After a good think over those, he was left with only a few letters left. And he really WAS stuck on those.
Sure, he could put actual superheroes from movies and comics on there, but he kinda felt that it wasn't the point of the task. Especially when they weren't allowed to repeat names given in classes. Which sucked majorly. Theo DID sneak Spiderman in there, though. For reasons.
It was just the letter 'y' that he was stuck on now. Not many people had names beginning with that letter, even the pretend superheroes! But eventually, it just clicked. Yoda.
Theodore beamed at his list, after sitting there for what felt like four hours. Now it was onto the front cover. Which would be MUCH more difficult, he figured. As for the background of the cover, that was alllllll his quill's doing. Nice job, quill! We could work well with orange, yup!
Eh, this would do.
He couldn't fit a huge picture of Spiderman on the cover, so he just drew a spider instead. Yep, was all good.
SPOILER!!: book cover

She didn't know how to feel about the homework being done in the classroom and right then. It was a good thing that they'd be done with one subject and focus on something else. But it wasn't that comfortable and quiet to work on an assignment with so many students around. Louisa dropped down to the floor and used her bean bag as desk, she liked this position and had claimed it as her ultimate comfy homework state since her first year.
The two options to their homework were easy enough, maybe the second one being more challenging since she has to squeeze her mind really hard and get some muggle heroes (muggles lacked true heroes in her opinion) but the first option wouldn't make much sense in her case. So second option it was! She brought out a couple of parchments and textbooks, and started skimming through the pages for heroes she thought were worth mentioning.
If she had time and resources, she'd try to look for every uncredited woman in the history. Most women were still under appreciated and needed to at least be mentioned in a student's homework - but alas, even History was unfair to them and not all alphabets had women heroes.

Vance, Emmeline – Witch.
Weasley, Molly - Witch.
X, Malcolm - Muggle.
Young, Whitney - Muggle.
Zhukov, Georgy - Muggle.
Once the list was complete, Louisa marked five names of historical heroes whom she knew how they looked like. She wasn't bad at drawing and she could pull off the book cover decently. Dumbledore was mentioned a lot in many subjects, as well as Snape so she marked those two. Then Molly Weasely, the soft generous mum that killed someone for her daughter (a bit of a bitter snort escaped Louisa's lips as she thought of this) and then there's the amazing deaf and blind Helen Keller who managed to get many diplomas. Lastly, there was the only obvious hero-like person on this list which's Andros the Invincible.
She picked up a couple of quills, charmed each one with a different color and started drawing.

Laura wasn't sure if she was doing this right but well she wanted to do her best and so she just hoped that the Professor would like what she had done, this was going to be really hard to write down but she wanted to make sure her work was awesome for the Professor to look at.

The Person that the holiday is Honouring is Kenny Dalglish, he is an ex Football Manager, he has Manager Liverpool fc, he was the first manager to manager the team twice, he won loads of trophies with them, he also has managed Blackburn and Newcastle, though he is an Icon to the Liverpool Fans.
The date of the Holiday will be the 4th March this is when the great man was born, it would be a fitting day to have the holiday on, there was two choices but the other choice would over shadow a tragic event so this date is a lot better than the other one, it is also a great day since it was the day this awesome guy was born.
The reason this person deserves to have the holiday named after him is because of the great work he did after a terrible event occured on the 15th of April 1989 the disaster was the worst disaster in the history of English Football, it was called the Hillsborough disaster, the disaster caused the death of 96 of the Liverpool Fan and was the cause of a load of break up in marrage and it some causes people have took up drinking because of what they saw that day.
The name of the Holiday will be the Dalglish day, the story behind it is simple, he has worked hard, to get Justice for the 96 people who have lost their lives in the tragedy, he went to all the funeral and made sure that the players went and offered their respected, even though he didn't know the people personally anything he could do to help the families in their darkest hour he would do, he also after the disaster campaigned hard and put money into the campaign to get justice for the families of those killed.
The colours for this Holiday will be red since that is the colour that the Liverpool Fc team wears and white because that is an awesome colour and it was either that or black which is what Dalglish wore most of the time, but since black is a colour of sadness, I have decided that it would be better for the colour to be white, so for Dalglish Day the colours will be red and white.
Laura then decided to look at her invitation, hopefully this would be okay and hopefully the Professor would like it, she added the final few touches and then she smiled as she looked at it.

Paula is a hero, because she goes above and beyond to encourage others to live life to the fullest, love themselves, and follow their dreams. She's gone on television to share her encouraging words, and she's even created a jewelry line full of inspirational messages. Because of Paula, many people have been encouraged to do their very best.
Real Life Wizard Superhero :: Ian Amoroso (Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic). Okay, so Mr. Amoroso can be a bit of a clown, but I think it's this very trait that makes him somewhat of a superhero. Mr. Ian has the ability to walk into a room and turn everyone in it into a friend. He tries to make the most out of each situation and never hesitates to have a good time. I think this makes him a superhero, because he can really brighten anybody's day.
Sierra finished writing her responses then headed back to her desk.

She sat down just in time to here the instructions being given. She copied down both options and then read and re-read them to decide which one she wanted to do. Option two, she decided, in the end. She thought she had more to say there. On that note, she pulled out a fresh piece of parchment and dipped her quill in ink.

Nerida grinned pretty sparkly shoes! Help identify both muggle and wizarding heros...Awesome! After the Professor finished the question, she raised her hand and answered "I think a superhero should be selfless and be willing to do what ever she or he needs to do to protect people.

Nerida thought for a moment...Her hero. There were many people she thought of as her hero but there was one who truly was the best hero...Though Nerida was unsure if she wanted to share that... She slowly raised her hand and said "My mum is my hero. She has always been there for me and supported me, and even when shes in a lot of pain from her..cancer she still shows courage."

Nerida smiled as she heard the Professor's story it was sad but it was also a nice story...She hoped the Professor found her brother one day. Issac Newton sounded sweet! And of course so did Albus Dumbledore! She thought about this for a second before grabbing a mark from the basket and walked up to one of the posters. "For my muggle hero I have selected Amelia Earhart had lots of courage, she had to since she was attempting something so dangerous and new and something women usually never did. She was the First Woman to fly alone across the Atlantic." She wrote Amelia Earhart's name down on the poster. Now for the magic person. "For my wizarding hero I have selected Neville Longbottom. Neville Longbottom stood up to the golden trio in their first year that is not an easy thing to do and he slayed Nagini one of Lord Voldermort's horcruxes." Once she finishined talking about Neville she added his name to the list.

Just as Nerida sat down from writing her names on the poster the Professor began giving the final instructions. She read each of the options a couple times each to decide on which one she wanted to do. In the end she decided to do Option two. She pulled out a fresh piece of parchment from her bag, dipped her quill into her ink and began.

Shane walked into the classroom all but dragging his things behind him. He was tired and muggle studies wasn't exactly his best class. As a matter of fact most classes weren't his best class. He grabbed one of the bean bags the first one he saw and pulled it into the farthest corner of the room. He liked to be away from everyone else. Shane didn't normally participate in class but truth be told he really did enjoy Superheroes. So he raised his hand and waited to be called on. "Intelligence?" He said trying to sound like he believed his own answer.

"Very very good everyone! You all brought up great qualities of a superhero....Yes, a popular Muggle Dictionary defines a superhero as 'any of various comic-strip characters with superhuman abilities or magical powers, wearing a distinctive costume, and fighting against evil'" she paused to let that definition sink in..."Now there is a similar definition for hero found in the Muggle Dictionary...it defines hero as 'A person who is admired for courage or noble qualities.' she smiled as she paced a little bit.
"Through the history of both Muggles and Wizards there have been real heros that have helped shape the future of each and both of our worlds and communities....but let's start a little closer to home..." she said with a little nod up and down.

Shane sat down and looked at his assignment. This was going to take him forever. But he sighed once before scratching his answers into his parchment hoping for the best.

Minerva looked at the Final and bit her lip with a bit of anxiety. She knew exactly which option she would do, but could she do it without getting to emotional over her work. Well one way to find out was just to do it. So she pulled out her parchment and began with the writing part. Getting to the reasons made her stop and take a deep breath a few times. She could do this though, she knew she could do this though, whether others might feel it was silly or not.
SPOILER!!: Option one
Wheatborn Day
When thinking about a new holiday I would have to make one in honor of my father Martin Lee Wheatborn. My father spent his adult life serving in the United States Military. We spent many years moving from base to base so that he could either get training or train younger soldiers with his experiences. He also spent many terms in other countries keeping us safe. His last operation had placed the family in danger, but it was for the good of keeping the country free of enemies.
I would have the holiday happen on his birthday, which is June 10. June 10 is also a good day to have a holiday, because it is considered a summer month in the United States and would not interfere with most muggle school days. People could relax and enjoy the sun and warmth of summer on this special day. Since the summer months are travel months, this holiday could be a great time for families to spend together and remember how much the mean to one another.
My father, Martin Wheatborn deserves this holiday, because he spent many years putting his self last and his country first. He loved being part of the military and what it stood for. There has never been a prouder solider then my father was. He would have put himself on the front lines and often did to protect any one family to stranger. In his last mission he had put his family into danger. Even though it ended with my parents losing their lives in a plane crash, they both would have done it all over again to protect others from danger.
The holiday would use his favorite colors which were green and white. There could be streamers, flags, and other decorations could be used. This holiday traditions would be picnics and family together time, because that was his true reason of doing what he did, so that families could stay safe and together. He loved fireworks, so like the Fourth of July, this Holiday would also have fireworks in the evening.
During this holiday which would be called Wheatborn day, after my father’s last name, there shall be shows or stories about what people go through to help protect others. They would talk about his life, the places he was stationed, and his last mission that put him on the plane that ended his time with us.
Once it was completed Minerva set it aside and then started making the invitation. She got into her bag and found one of the pictures she always carried around of her dad. This would be perfect stuck to her parchment. Putting it on the top of her parchment She then began writing.
SPOILER!!: Invitation
Once she was finished she gathered her things and walked to the front of the room feeling a bit over emotional from the lesson and thinking about her father. "Here is my final professor. Thanks for the very interesting lessons this term." With that Minerva gave her a last friendly smile and headed out of class.
Gemma walked up to each poster excitedly and read each of the student's answers...they were amazing and perfect. She turned back to the class with a smile, "Ya'll have done amazing naming some examples of heroes from both Muggle and Wizarding Worlds!" she said clapping a little bit.

Befelda stared at the board of the final assignment. She's not really that creative and have problems with the colors. But she then decided to do the option 2 which is the list of heroes and a book cover.
She reached for her bag and grabbed the things she needed, quill, ink, some parchments and some colors. Since she's not really into many colors, she just colored the book cover background black, just right to compliment the heroes she will be putting. She then knew the famous Muggle and Wizard heroes to put on her book cover. But before finishing her book cover, she then get another parchment to list down the names of the Muggle and Wizard heroes. Good thing she's been reading a lot of Muggles History. History of Magic has been in her mind like forever, so to speak.
She then furnished her work and thought her work was done brilliant, so far:
