Anyone want to join...... or possibly take points? *whistles* Emmanuelle had told herself that she was going to do this at least once before she graduated. Okay, so it wasn't anywhere near the end of term (in fact, it was only a month in) but she figured that now was as good a time as any. Plus, things had calmed down majorly since the crazy start to the term and she was now bored. And sometimes, with her, bored equals crazy. So, that was how she ended up here at the top of the moving staircase. About to hop onto the rail and slide down it. She threw her left leg over the rail so she was sitting astride it and held herself there for a minute, mentally preparing herself. She hadn't slid down a stair rail in a long time, and never one this long. Or moving. That should make this more interesting...... |

"Probably with quidditch." Because, really, that was probably the only thing she ever concentrated on. And even then, she wasn't really dedicated unless the game was competitive. "Are they?" she asked. She didn't really have an opinion on the beds. "I wonder if they're the same beds in the boy's dormitory as they are in the girl's." "Really? Glad I could share this momentous occasion with you then." She smiled and took a seat on one of the steps. "Yeah. Too bad I want to go in the direction the stair case isn't going in. There's a portrait down there that I like making faces at." Because she was weird. And when there's portraits that move, you obviously had to make faces at them. At least... in her mind. ...And this was probably why she didn't get very good marks on her assignments. She was too busy making faces at portraits. |

isabel heard the girl introduce herself as gwen ,she liked that name for some reason but she wasnt going to tell her that she wasnt one for kissing up.and so isabel decided to just find out where the girl was going she might as well tag along since she hadnt nothing else to do. so where are you heading to |
Quote:
"Well *I* think so." Hm. Could they be the same? "Probably are. I mean.. why would they buy something different?" That would be dumb. Though, if he got the better bed, he wouldn't be complaining. He grinned over at the girl. "It's momentous? How do you figure?" Was it because the stairs was graced with his presence for so long? That had to be it. ..... A portrait she liked making faces at? Coulson blinked. "... You make faces at portraits?" |
Totally. Quote:
Arriving at the staircase, she found a seventh year-ish looking girl sitting on the rail like she was riding a horse.. Hmm.... "Whatcha doing?" It really surprised her why anyone would want to sit on a railing like that. What of you fell off?! Ooohh. NOT fun. Her mum had always told her that rails were NOT płaygrounds, and should not be messed with. The snake always monkeyed around in them in her toddler days, not knowing better. But her mum wasn't here, was she? Nope. Not at all. It came to her that, of course, no knowledged person would fool around on a banister, unless they were to slide down it.... |
*Grin* Quote:
Until the weight of her body caused her the shift to the side, that is. Luckily, it was to the side with the stairs. Though that didn't stop it from hurting when she toppled off. "Ow," she commented calmly when she crash landed. She hopped up immeadately. "Why don't you try it?" |
Quote:
"Best friends are pretty brilliant." she said happily. "I've known mine for... 11 years now." "True." she nodded. "I haven't slept in the boy's dorm before, so I couldn't tell you for sure." She grinned. "Well, it's your first time being stuck on a moving staircase. And I get to witness it! It's like a Hogwarts rite of passage." And they were just lucky that it didn't happen when they were trying to get to class. She blushed a little. "Well, one in particular. You do weird things when you get lost." And then... she just... continued to get lost in that hallway because of that portrait. |
*gringrin* Quote:
"You really think so?" She asked, surprised by her words. Rail sliding was supposed to be a "terrible, dangerously unsafe activity that should be outlawed", as her mum always said. Wouldn't you get in trouble? STOP IT CARDIGAN. JUST STOP IT. Your mummy's not here and there is no professors or any other staff like that in the presence, or any prefects. It's worth a shot. The girl continued sliding down the railing, letting out a spirited woo hoo!, and then fell off, onto, not off, the stairs. Ouch. That's gotta hurt! The older girl then mentioned that she should try it as well. What? Who me? Really? "Well, I guess it's worth the shot," she said while hoisting herself up into the Oh, what fun!! She could feel the wind in her hair, little stray strands sticking to her face. It was way better than her mom described it, that's for sure. It should be a sport! It would be called...rail racing. Soo unique. Cardigan was getting a little too far down, and decided to stop. She brought her hands down and grasped the railing, coming to a complete stop. Hoisting herself onto the ground, she dusted off her robes and said, "That was pretty awesome. Better than I remembered! Oh, and by the way, I'm Cardigan. Cardigan Johansson." It made her sound WAY cooler than she was, like James Bond. |

Spike looked up the stairs, hand on his forehead like an explorer surveying the lay of the land, before looking back to his sister. They'd decided that they needed an Hutchinson adventure to help forget recent events...and so they'd decided to tackle one of the most dangerous expeditions possibly ever to take place in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. The Hutchinson siblings were going to take on (dun dun dunnnnn!) Mount Everest... "Are you ready for the task ahead, comrade Hutchinson?" Spike asked. "The journey that lies before us may be tough." |
Quote:
She nodded seriously, looking up at her brother. This was going to be fun. "I am ready comrade Hutchinson." She spoke, a tiny grin playing on her lips. |
Quote:
Together, the Hutchinson siblings would be record breakers. If all went to plan, of course. One never knew on trips like these. So many unforeseen things could happen. "Are the preparations complete, Captain Hutchinson?" Spike asked. It was Indy's job to sort the ropes and supplies, whilst he'd mapped out the treacherous path they needed to take. A compass hung around his neck; a rudimentary map tucked into the pocket of his shirt. |
Quote:
"Oh yes." She nodded, in a professional way, as she turned around and picked up the ropes. Not that they were proper robes. Indy had just tied all the ends of her bed sheets together, to make a very long rope sort of thing. Turning back to her brother she grinned. "All ready." |
Quote:
Spike took one end of the ropes, and tied it around his stomach. On an epic journey such as this, no-one got left behind. So, for safety reasons, he and Indy were to going be connected for the ascent. And then he rolled up he sleeves and pulled the map out of his pocket to double check the route. "I vote we go up the left hand side," he said, pointing to the map. "But avoid this part here. Conditions are said to be pretty rough there, so we'll have to take the long route around." There being the trick step. "Agreed?" |
It was good to see her brother happy, and not sulking around. It made Indy happy. She didn't even know what Spike had been upset about, but she didn't like seeing him upset. Fun loving, playful Spike was much better than when he was all upset. If she ever found out who had made her brother upset she would hit them with her beater's bat. She giggled even more as he tied the rope around his stomach. They were so getting into that. It was perfect. Indy tied the other half around her stomach, so they were tied together in a little bed rope fashion. Now they wouldn't get lost. Their mother had done this to them when they had been little. Obviously not with bed sheets. But it had made sure that they hadn't gotten lost. She stepped closer looking over the map. "That sounds good." She spoke seriously with a little nod. |
Nicholas wasn't intending on spooking anybody, but it just so happened he needed to ascend the stairs. Meaning through it, rather than on it. Head popping up through a step, Nicholas rose only to see students scampering around. |

Satisfied the knots were good, Spike turned round and eyed the mountain ahead of them. He glanced down to check the map once more. "This is it, Captain Hutchinson. We're going to scale Mount Everest. We'll be the first to siblings to do so backwards...without oxygen...or even a jumper." Quote:

Turning the floating, transparent man returned the nod. "Expedition?" Sir Nicholas echoed seeing the unorthodox rope. "Up the stairs?" he asked in disbelief. |
Quote:
A series of giggles left her mouth, and she smiled at her brother. "We'll go down in history." She nodded, seeming a little more serioues. Although she was then distracted by Nearly Headless Nick. "Yes..." She nodded with a big beam on her face. |

Hmmm. Where was she heading to? She had been meaning to go find her bestie in the great hall, but maybe she’ll wait a bit. Ari was probably not there yet. ‘I was thinking about going to see the suits of armour’, the fifth year said. She wasn’t really fond of the firsties, but she had nothing against Isabel coming along. |
The staircase suddenly swung around, leaving its present occupants swaying and clinging to the banisters. The staircase seemed to sweep in a more haphazard motion than usual, and finally stopped when it was touching the seventh floor. Good luck if you are a Claw or Lion, too bad if you are a Snake or a Badger...just means more walking for you! |
Sarah had been deep in a book whie on the staircase.. which was normal if you were Sarah... To her it was being time efficent. It was then that the stair case turned into a rollercoaster Quote:
Then the ride seemed to end and when the stairs stopped by the seventh floor Sarah did not want to get off, lest the ride started again, and she did not want to miss out of the fun! |
Quote:
Brilliant. She was right back where she started. Time to go back down. Rolling her eyes, Elise trudged her way down the stairs, muttering under her breath about moving staircases and why they should be permanently stuck to their landings. |

COMC HW#2: Post 2 Sarah was in the mood of going up and down the stair case just for fun. It was fun and she liked the movement without energy. She sat down on the stair and let the ride begin. At the beginning it was fun, yet soon thee excitement began to be not as fun. She was getting tired of seeing the same landings and the ride was so monotonous. She wished it would go crazy again, like it did before. She waited and waited for some more excitement to happen, yet about an hour later (she had done her homework while waiting for the excitement to happen) she gave up and left the stairs at the gryffindor landing. Hogwarts seriosuly needed More rides. |
