ANYONE!! She's having fun ;) Woooooooow!! They really did move!!!! Lex giggled in satisfaction as she watched the staircases shift a couple times. See, she had heard about these and now that it was proven that they moved she could commence. Taking a deep breath Lex bolted down the stairs and got to the end in time to jump across to the next set as they were pulling away. Her landing was a bit wobbly but she managed to not fall as the staircase connected to another flight of stairs. She gave a little chuckle at having not fallen before hurrying up the stairs and and proceeding to hop across another shifting set. This time her landing was better but there was no time to waste as in the distance another set was getting ready to move. She scrambled to to get to the next staircase, nearly tripping over her own feet before rushing up the other flight of stairs. The next set were already moving but hey, she was a determined 11 year old and as such she took a dive and landed on her stomach with her feet dangling and the stairs approaching their new destination. Man...she could do this all day! |
Text Cut: Lex Dylan had gone off to explore this vast castle and see what fun he could have around this place cause lets face it, it was boring just sitting in one place.. thats when he came to the stair cases that he had seen many times and climbed.. but as he neared he heard someone chuckling and he climbed the stairs to try and find the source of the chuckling. He climbed quite a bit when he realised that he had gone past the source and tried to workout his way back down again and straight to that person. Finally after trying again and again he finally found... her? Lex! He laughed as she landed on her stomach "Nice landing Lex.. nice and graceful" he said smiling as he saw her getting ready for another jump.. "See this is what we have been waiting for Lex, now that we are here.. this is what we do!" he said to her chuckling as he jumped to the next stairs, and he got ready for another jump but only after Lex had made it over too and she would go first to the next destination. |
Text Cut: Dylan As the staircase got set to attach itself to the other set she hauled herself up and took a seat to enjoy the remainder of the ride. This was more fun than she thought it would have been but it would have been even more fun if she had company. Just then she heard a familiar voice comment on her landed. Her head whipped around in the direction of the voice and she grinned when she saw Dylan standing on another of the platforms. His would start moving soon. "Yeah, I do try to get those landings just right." She said with a giggle. "The trick is to land on your belly so your bum and wrist don't get hurt." Yup. And she thought about that all by herself too! She jumped up as the stair stopped moving then smiled over at him. "Hey Dylan, I just had a grand idea!" She shouted across to him. The stairs had taken her quite a distance from him which would make this all the more fun. "What'd you say we play a game. I like to call it Stair Tag." She looked down again as another set of stairs started moving. She didn't have much time before the set she wanted to catch started to move so she had to talk quickly. "Just like tag really only on the moving stairs. You in?" |
Gwen was still dizzy after the conversation she just had with a friend. With a box of Bertie Bott’s in her hand, the fifth year decided to go for a walk. Some fresh air might help. She had been willing to go hang out by the lake, so she found herself descending the stairs with hasty steps, taking from time to time a jelly bean out of the box. Cherry. Not bad, the Ravenclaw thought after picking a random candy from the box. It was odd, since she usually came across the weirdest flavours. Looks like today was an exception... The fifth year took another jelly bean from the box, this time, one which tasted like ear wax. Eeeeew. Enough of Bertie Bott’s jelly beans. Gwendolyn just closed the box and then continued to descend the stairs. When she finally got closer to the third floor, she felt the staircase on which she was standing moving. Hmph. Looks like she’ll have to wait for the staircase to reposition itself so that she could continue her walk to the lake. So now she only had to wait. |

Text Cut: Lex Dylan chuckled as she said that she tried to get the landings just right "Thats a good way of doing it and not bruising up your bum" he said as he got ready to move to the next platform which ever came to him next. He had to admit that did sound like a good trick but he wouldn't tell her that... just yet. "I guess you had alot of practice and that's why you know what sort of technique to use." well thats what it showed for her to know this technique. He watched as she jumped as she said that he had a great idea "You do.. ok lets hear this idea" he said as he listened to her idea, a game eh? "Yeah I am always up for a good game" he said as he listened to her talk some more, he smiled he liked this idea very much "Yeah I like it.. how shall we start this game" he asked her as he jumped onto the next platform that was heading towards Lex.. he was now heading for Lex.. and if they were starting now then she had better run now. |
Text Cut: Dylan Lex beamed. "Nah, the technique just came to me because I'm just that good!" She said before giggling. Though she had to admit that she was pretty good at this jumping stuff. "But you know, there's nothing to it." This was pretty true. While she spoke her eyes followed the next set of stairs below that had started moving. No matter how long she stood there watching them moving occasionally she would never get over how cool it look. She would have to start heading back down soon so she would have to watch for the ones that started to move below her. She grinned when he said he would play. Great. Now it would be a whole lot more fun! Wait-- it didn't take long for her to notice that his staircase was leading him to her. I guess this meant he was it. Not waiting for him to get there she scampered up another flight of stairs then ran along the small corridor platform thing until she got to another set of stairs leading down. "You're gonna have to try harder than that Dylan!" She shouted before hurrying down the stairs with a laugh. |
Text Cut: Lex Dylan chuckled as she said that the technique just came to her "Mmm yeah I guess you could be since the technique just came to you, but I can't be too sure" he chuckled as he joked with her "Yeah its not that hard just jumping from stairs to stairs" yeah that's the easiest thing to be doing when having fun. He saw her look down cause thats where she would be going next seeing as that was the next way to go. He watched a few to see where they could go next cause they both knew how fun this was becoming. Why hadn't he thought about this before. He saw that she seemed happy that he said that he would play the game with her, well he had stepped onto a staircase that was going straight towards her. It seemed that she had noticed this too for she went up a different flight of stairs before running away and telling him that he had to try hard enough.. he went to where she was and decided that he had no choice but to follow her since there was no other routed to her for now. But maybe later on he might find another route that went towards her, but no matter what he was determined to catch her! "I will get you Lex, you just watch!" he called to her as he chuckled running after her. |
DaniDiNardo and MagicalWorld Text Cut: crazy stair jumping first years Lily was heading up the stairs from the Great Hall, on her way back up to her common room, not really paying any attention to where she was headed. Hearing shouting and the stomping of feet on the stairs, Lily looked up to see two little kids rushing down the staircase at her. "Hey!!!" shouted the third year, moving out of the way so that the gryffindors wouldn't run into her. "Wait... I know you!!" Pointing a finger at the girl, the claw's eyes narrowed slightly. "You are that little kid who was trying to hand out flyers in London..." The kid that was breaking the law, according to Benjy. "You know..." Lily said, proceeding to talk to the first years. "When I was a first year I was running down the stairs and next thing I know, I'm waking up in the hospital wing...." That was not a pleasant memory... "I suggest you don't go running on the stairs unless you want to take a trip to the hospital wing..." Lily's one piece of advice for the day... The Ravenclaw looked between both the boy and the girl, eyeing them and trying to get them to take her advice. |
Text Cut: You twwoooooo <3 HAHAHAHA!!! You wish Dylan! You'll never get me!!!" She said said, giggling all the way down the flight of stairs. Her head flashed behind her for a minute to see just how far she was from the boy and saw that he was only now where she had just been. She chuckled madly in satisfaction then scampered down another flight, her eyes on Dylan the whole time. Just then she heard someone shouting! She turned but it was too late and she had knocked right into the girl! "I am sooooo sorry!" She said. The girl mentioned knowing her and that's when she decided to take a good look. "Oh! You're the girl from the train station! Lily, right?" So nice to run into her..well....er.... not literally seeing as she could have hurt her but it was good to see her because it meant that someone else could be added to the game. She was about to ask her to join when she started giving them a lecture on stair hopping. Lex looked at her, tilting her head slightly and widening her eyes--just a bit. Maybe she wanted to join but just didn't know how to ask. Yup. That must have been it and that being the case she would make her feel welcomed. She beamed at her before flashing around to look at Dylan again. "Hey Dylan! Our friend here wants to play, but she's too scared to ask. What'd you say we make her 'it'?" |

Hyperactive firstie? Although her first reaction as to roll her eyes at the younger student, Gwen eventually didn’t. The girl just managed to fall. How? Gwen had no idea. Shaking her head, the Ravenclaw descended the stairs, heading over to the place where the other girl was standing. ‘You...’, she tried to get the girl’s attention. ‘Are you alright?’ |
Text Cut: Lily and Lex Dylan heard Lex tell him that he wasn't going to catch her "Oh I will! Just let me catch up! I don't need to wish!" he chuckled as he watched her go down a flight of stairs as she chuckled too while keeping her eyes on him, he just knew that he needed to catch her no matter what. Cause if he didn't then she would laugh at him from now on that he was never able to catch her, so he needed to so that she could not say that. He continued to run after her as she ran down the flight of stairs, but he still needed to catch up with her before he could catch her. Just then he saw her run past a girl who shouts out to them, while Lex was talking to the girl he managed to catch up to her as they were talking and he just about managed to catch something about handing out the flyers at Kings Cross. He then listened as the other girl explained her experience of running down the stairs and ending up in the Hospital Wing, he looked at Lex and then back at this new girl. "Well we are professionals at this game so we won't get hurt, we know what we are doing. Besides Lex has a perfected landing technique that will make sure we won't get hurt" he said to the girl as he wondered why she was trying to ruin their fun. He then looked at Lex as she called his name and suggested something, he chuckled and nodded "Yeah I think you are right Lex" he looked at the girl that Lex had called Lily "You know you don't have to be scared to ask if you wanna play. It's ok if you want to play, just ask" he said to her as he looked back at Lex "I say you are right Lex.. we should make her 'it', then maybe she will ask properly next time instead of being scared to ask." he said to Lex happy that they might have a new person joining them to play this new game. |
Jake/Syd! Asher had been running all over the castle today. First he had to go up to the Owlery to send a note to his sister Caroline. So that she could send him a book that he would need. One that she and Kurumi had made when she was here. Mr. Viking's Dictionary Apparently the Runes professor's accident was hard to understand at best. And now he was going to the kitchen because well he was hungry, but that was nothing new for the Slytherin. So taking the moving staircase was the quickest way of getting back to the ground floor and then to the kitchen. Well That was if the staircase would get unstuck. "Oh come on, not now. I wanted to go the kitchens!" |
Totally had a longer post for u 2 but I lost it!!:( "No way am I playing that!!" Lily huffed after being run into by the lion girl. "I'm not going to hurt myself and end up in the hospital wing..." These lions knew not what they were doing that would or could end up badly. Lily would just stay out of it and not get sucked into the spiral of points loss thy would be coming their way if they got hurt. "I am going to head up to my common room and I suggest you two take you little game someplace safer..." But that was just a suggestion. |
Anyalasagna! (I don't know where that came from. *mellow*) Exploring. That's what this was. How else was he supposed to get use to the school? Coulson didn't exactly have his own tour guide, but he was sure if he'd asked one of the many females roaming around, ALL of them would show him where to go or give him a tour. Girls were cool like that. He stopped on the middle of rather old looking staircase, glancing around to see if anything looked familiar. It didn't. But he did know he was on the third floor. He just.. didn't know where to go from here. Probably up. He took a moment to put the image in his mind to try and remember where this was and all that.... when the stairs jolted and MOVED. |
Text Cut: Dylan and Lily ^_^ Lex couldn't help but laugh when Dylan said he would catch up with her. Yeah...no he wouldn't. She had a pretty good lead and he still had to get across a whole platform before he could even come close! Her laugh grew wilder as she thought of just how much work he would have to put into it just to get her and actually she ended up sticking her tongue at him. Hah! Oh but he caught up. Bummer. He wouldn't have if she hadn't run into Lily and there was nothing she could do about it. Though she wouldn't have to because he wasn't it anymore and the hesitation that this girl was showing told her that she wouldn't be very good at it so they wouldn't need all that much of a head start. Heh, in fact they might have given her the head start if that was possible. But no? She wouldn't play with them? Nonesense!! :whaa: "Hold on Dylan." She told him when he started giving her extra permission to join. The serious look on her face told her that she really meant what she said and what was worst, she was leaving!!!! NO! "But it could be so much fun!! And I've been hopping for a while now, I haven't fallen or gotten hurt or anything. It's safe!" That was pretty true. It was as safe as moving stairs could get. "So pleeaaaassee play with us?" She asked with pleading eyes and a slight pout. "If you want I can be 'it' I don't mind." Actually she did mind. She hated being 'it' but she wanted Lily to play so she wouldn't mind this time. |

Heh. She was about to sit down on the step and just wait out the swing cycle of the staircase when she noticed someone else was stuck too. "Coul?" she asked climbing the steps to close the distance between herself and the other occupant of the stairs. |

He had only been looking over the edge for a moment when he heard his name being called. Questioned, rather. It was weird considering that he was a transfer and didn't really know a whole lot of people but then again.. Maybe word had spread about the hot new transfer boy? He'd have to set this rumor straight. It was hot new SINGLE transfer boy. They forgot the single part. But as his eyes landed on the girl who'd said his name, Coulson paused. "Anya?" he called back, edging toward her. |
Text Cut: Lily and Lex Dylan could still hear her laughing as he commented on the fact that he was going to catch her up, well he was she didn't know that he wouldn't! He even heard her laugh louder as if what he said was a funny joke, and not only that she had actually stuck her tongue out at him. Now that was just rude, in a fun way but still rude. Oh he was so going to get her now. He did in fact catch up with her but only cause she was left chatting to Lily, who didnt want to join in the game they were playing? He looked at Lex as she told him to stop talking while she carried on talking to Lily about joining them in the game. He listened as she said it could be fun,, well it was fun! He nodded she hadn't gotten hurt and neither had he, they were both still fine even after running around. He looked at Lex in surprise, he never thought he would hear her say that! he looked at Lily to see what she would say, he knew that Lex wouldn't want to be it.. cause she knew that Dylan was faster than her and he would catch up with her and would be hard to catch if she were it. He wondered if Lily would join.. so he continued to listen as Lex tried to persuade her to join them in this fun game |

Oh. But he did recognize her! She nodded before giving him a big hug. They were on the hug level right? If not... they were now. "How have you been? I haven't really seen you since the sorting." Which, was probably Jake's fault. "This your first time being stuck on here?" It was pretty much a rite of passage. That, and actually remembering to jump the trick stair. |

And there was a boy talking to the stairs. "Aren't the kitchens that way?" he asked, walking over to the boy and pointing in the general direction of where he thought the kitchen was. He hadn't been to it yet, but he knew it was under the Great Hall. |
Text Cut: Dylex Oooookay... so the crazy stair-jumping first years really really wanted Lily to stay and play with them.... but the third year didn't want to stay and risk further injury. She had already injured her wrist this term while on the train, which still hadn't completely healed, so she didn't want to get hurt to the point of actually needing to go to the hospital wing. Now was a time for the perfect excuse... for a Ravenclaw. "Hey... look... I would play with you guys since you really want me to... but, I need to get back up to my common room so that I can get some work and studying done. Maybe after that I'll go play with you guys outside." Maybe... maybe not... "Give me two hours and then I'll play with you two by the lake or something. Sound like a deal?" She proposed so that she could get some time to herself and then play somewhere that she wouldn't get hurt. |

Just as she was waiting for the girl to reply, the fifth year heard her introduce herself. Allriiight. Maybe she hadn’t hurt herself, after all. Because, let’s face it, which were the chances that she would be all cheerful after hurting herself. ‘I’m Gwen’, the Ravenclaw said, a bit hesitantly. She was still wondering if there was nothing she could do for the younger girl, or if she was indeed alright. |

She was off flirting!limits. "The beds here are nicer than the one's at Durmstrang. A bit softer, really." Coulson commented somewhat absently. He was probably being a bit overdramatic about Durmstrang and his feelings toward it, but he didn't really care. Or didn't realize it. The boy nodded his head. "Yeah, surprisingly." |
