Hogsmeade!

She was finally back here! With a grin on her face, the fifth year made her way along the street. The girl wasn’t supposed to meet her bestie until later that day, so she had no plan in mind at the moment. As she passed by some of the shops, the Ravenclaw examined the windows of Gladrags Wizardwear and Honeydukes Candy Shop. Hmm. Maybe she should go in? Maybe later…?

Gwendolyn continued to walk along the main street, eventually stopping in front of Zonko's Joke Shop. She missed that place! Giving a quick look around, the girl tried to see if any of her friends weren’t around before heading towards the entrance door of the shop.

It was weekend! Cassia was so grateful for this trip to Hogsmeade at the weekend. She needed it. The first month at school always seems to be the hardest. So a trip to the village was just what Cassia needed. The second-year was walking aimlessly ,she had in mind that she should drop by the candy shop but there was still time. As for now she was just walking around.

After taking turns ,Cassia was back to the main street. Well, might as well check the shops might remember something she needed and forgot to buy. She will be meeting a couple friends later as for now walking and walking and none else.

Her hands shoved in her pocket and a big smile on her face, Cassia walked down the street checking the shops right and left. Before getting to Zonko's she glanced a familiar face. It was Gwen. Cassia picked up her pace and covered the distance between her and the Eagle. "Hey Gwen!" Cassia said as she bounced in front of the fifth-year.

Walking down the street, Gavin smiled to himself. It had been awhile since he'd been to Hogsmeade, at least a year or more. It was cool seeing the new shops that had appeared and he made a note of at least checking them all out before he headed back home again.

He had been staring up at the bookshop when he turned to head towards honeydukes when he ran literally into someone that was practically right behind him.

He'd been minding his own business, just looking around at the shops. Next thing he knew, he was on the floor. He jumped to his feet muttering. "Yo, man, what..?" He looked at the person who'd knocked him down and raised his eyebrows. He was a little shorter than himself, so this might be okay. But the guy was fully grown! "Not cool, man."

His eyebrow lifting as the kid jumped up and told him 'not cool man'. Lifting his eyes to the sky, "Not my problem if you're not watching where your backing into." Oh how he loved teenage attitudes. His little 5 year old daughter/technically sister in law already was getting that little 'not cool man' type talk.

"Might want to watch where you put your feet next time, eh?" he asked with that dratted Canadian thing he added without thinking on occasion.

He brushed himself off, but then stared down at the guy. "Uh, I'm pretty sure you bumped into me. If it was my fault, I'd have apologised." Who was this guy? Psh. "My feet were firmly on the floor until you decided to collide with me."

"Whatever." he said rolling his eyes again. "Perhaps you shouldn't be standing directly behind someone if you don't want to be knocked over then." Yep, he'd been looking at the bookshop that he just realized had a sign saying it was closed when he'd turned around finding someone right there. Since when couldn't a person walk and end up on top of someone? "Apology? Fine an apology will be given. I'm sorry you were standing right behind me."

Was this guy sure he shouldn't be at Hogwarts? Ed frowned at him and crossed his arms. He'd been quite happily looking around, this guy had interrupted him, not the other way around. "And I'm sorry you don't have better manners." He retorted snidely, clearly irritated that the guy didn't just say 'my mistake, sorry'.

Raising his eyebrow once again, were kids these really this rude to elders? Waving his hand at him "Go on and play little man, I don't have time to sit and argue with little children."

Really?! This guy was dismissing him like a child?! Ed squared up to him and stared straight down into his face. "Children? I think you'll find that I'm probably more mentally advanced than you. At least I didn't get up off the ground, you so politely knocked me down, to looking for a fight. Now run along, I don't have time to deal with irritating, rude children posing as adults." He waved his hand dismissively at the guy and stepped back. THERE. See how he liked it.

Snorting, as the little boy decided he had to turn his words and fit them to his own needs with a comeback. "You need help with your comebacks? Comeo on over to level 5 and I'll give you some tips on respect as well. I'm more then twice your age kid, and I think you need to learn some respect." Wasn't his fault the kid didn't know how to walk and put his feet. Yep he was in a mood alright. And here all he'd done was go to Hogsmeade for the first time in a year. And he already found a kid who thought he was king of the town.

Hey there aren't kings in the wizarding world, kid. Remember?

Walking down the street, Isaac spotted his friend practically nose to nose with an older guy. What in Merlin's name....? Stunned he moved closer.

"Wow. What a scary threat." Ed replied in a monotone way, unimpressed with this guy's pure rudeness. "If you're more than twice my age, - and believe me, you look it - shouldn't you know better than to start something from nothing? Shouldn't you know your manners?" He raised his eyebrows, still not backing down. He'd done nothing wrong.

"Dang kid, you think that was a threat?" he asked his eyebrow lifting. What was with kids these days, seriously? "I didn't mean it as a threat, I meant it as to teach you what manners are." What he thought Gavin was going to take him down in a duel? PFFT, the kid wasn't worth his time. "I wondered when kids would start assuming a duel necessary to deal with something as simple as getting knocked down." Yep, and the little bit about his age just made Gavin roll his eyes.

"Start something? Who happened to be the one who jumped up looking for a fight?" he asked folding his arms across his chest. Good thing he didn't get kids like this on his level too often.

His eyebrow lifted as he heard the bit about Ed saying he was more then twice his age and looked it. Woah... What the heck had happened here??? Stepping closer he folded his arms across his chest towering over the both of them, waiting for them to realize someone was there watching and listening to them now.

Of course. Because teaching him manners was going to be so hard, since Ed already knew what they were. "I think you may need to go take a good, long, hard look in the mirror and assess your own manners first, sir." His last word was laced with disapproval. "I didn't assume anything about a duel. In fact, I mentioned nothing of the sort. You brought that up." He couldn't recall mentioning anything about a duel.

"I stood up because you knocked me over and expected an apology, since well mannered people apologise for their mistakes." Mhmm. Noticing the shadow cast over them, Ed knew it could only be one person. There was only one guy who was that tall. "Hey, Isaac." He greeted his friend without breaking eye contact with the old, well aged, rude man.

Well there you were, he finally knew manners enough to say the word 'sir'. Though he could hear it practically dripping in sarcasm. "You didn't have to mention a duel for me to hear that in the your words. You want a threat, you're going to have to look elsewhere. I don't duel with kids, I play with the big boys. Capiche?"

Glancing upward as another kid came over that towered over the two of them. Pfft didn't bother him. "Isaac is it? Might want to take the kid for a drink or something to calm down his nerves."

Lifting his eyebrow slightly as Ed stayed nose to nose almost with the guy. What the heck had started this? "Hi?" Yep he was asking what was going on but at the moment was staying out of it. His eyebrow did lift though at the man's words.

"I wouldn't assume, it tends to make you look a lot bit stupid." He didn't want a threat, but he wasn't going to back down from one. Nu-uh. "Well, there's only one kid here and I'm staring right at him." He had to hold back his snigger though. "Capiche? Who do you think you are, a muggle mobster?"

He gave the man a dirty look at the mention of a drink. "I don't know about you, but I don't deal with my problems over a drink. I confront them. It seems my nerves are perfectly in check." Well, the guy was still stood in front of him and Ed hadn't yelled yet. Not answering Isaac's questioning greeting, he put his hands into his pockets, not being remotely threatening. He wasn't going to waste his time on this guy.

Rolling his eyes, "I don't have time for your childish games sorry. Particularly if you want to have time to check out the shops and get your candies and jokes." Raising his eyebrow once again, this kid didn't understand that Capiche was an Italian word for 'understand'. "A muggle mobster?" he asked snorting. He couldn't help it! "Apparently you need a lesson in languages as well."

"Whatever you say." he said shrugging. Yep, he didn't believe the kid at all.

"Ed, let's go." he said rolling his eyes at the two. Whatever had started this Isaac didn't think he'd really be all that concerned. Whatever it was it was probably just something stupid. Turning he started walking away.

Really? This was getting ridiculous. "You know, this could have been over ten minutes ago if you just knew how to say sorry and had the mental capacity to be the bigger person." He glanced at Isaac before staring straight back at the guy. "But since it seems I'm the only one who does have that ability, I'm gonna let it drop." Yup, he could be reasonable. "Good luck in your future endeavours, I hope you don't meet too many people who are as willing as I am to call you out on your bad manners." And he could be nice to people who were unkind themselves. He eyed the guy one last time before turning to follow Isaac.

Seriously how did you tell someone to 'get lost' without sounding unbelievably rude? Because that's precisely what he wanted to do now! Rolling his eyes he decided the best thing to do would be just ignore the kid and head in the opposite direction. Damn...and that was for the Three Broomsticks.

Glancing over his shoulder to see if the guy was going to walk away, Ed noted he was heading straight towards the Three Broomsticks. Chuckling one of the most evil laughs that had ever escaped him, he turned back to where he and Isaac were walking. He looked up at his giant of a best friend and then back to where they were walking. Was Isaac going to ask?

"Ok, what the heck was thet about?" he asked looking Ed's way. His eyebrows had gone up nearly into his hair (which was like super short, so that was saying something) at the evil laugh his friend had made. "Was thet fer real?" No freakin' way that that actually just happened. He'd never seen Ed in that position EVER, let alone face to face with a guy like twice his age! "Did ye know him or somethin'?" Yeah maybe that was why he'd acted so strangely.

Ameliah grinned as she walked down the main street -- finally! Hogsmeade! With her guitar slung over her shoulder, she wondered if she could play for cash, like those people at subways. Hehe.

Though she decided against playing for strangers, she began to hum as she stuck her hands in her pockets.

Puck was walking on his hands down Hogsmeade. He havent been here in ages so it was good to be back. Robin almost ran into Ameliah. Puck's grin widen as he flipped onto his feet, "Hey, kiddo!" He laughed, "Isnt it amazing how Taylor and Damon isnt dating anymore?" Robin started to do an Irish jig.

And there it was. He glanced at Isaac once more and nodded. "Yes, that was for real." He shook his head at the next question though. "Nope. He knocked me over and when I stood up, he didn't apologise. He tried to claim it was my fault. When I pointed out it wasn't my fault, he started talking about manners and everything." He shrugged once more. "Guy's a total waste of time."
