Nodding, Kurumi took the vial from the Slytherin and set her hand back on the table and eyed the clear liquid. "We can't both take it at the same time," she mused as she removed the top on the vial she was holding. "I'll drink yours first and then we can switch."

Taking a deep breath, she completely removed the top and set it own on the table before wafting the smell of the potion. Odorless, of course. Raising the vial towards her partner, Kurumi pressed the vial to her lips and took a sip and continued to do so until her eyes sort of glazed over and she slumped in her seat a little with a WIIIIIIIIIIIIDE grin on her face.

Ariana watched as the gryffindor spoke.. Of course they both couldn't take it at the same time. that'd be dumb.. nothing would get done. They would both sit there like idiots. Ari eyed her curiously as she downed the potion giving her a few seconds befo... there was the goofy smile she was expecting.

she folded her hands and set them on the table in front of her and smirked at the girl. "ready?" wait of course she was ready.. dumb question logan.
"So Kurumi.. if that's your real name." heh this was fun. and she didn't mean that in an insulting way. she just always wanted to say that. "Are you aware that you are NOT part house elf?" meh even if she was who cared. she had little to run on here.

Kurumi was there...but wasn't really there. To the real Kurumi is was as though she were in a dream right now, looking at the Slytherin in front of her and speaking to her. Which was rather surreal considering she had just been awake a few moments ago. Hmm...oh well.

And then she was hit with a bombshell. Or, well, not really. Somewhere in the back of the Gryffindor's mind she had always known that she wasn't really part house elf. "Of course," she nodded. "It makes no biological sense considering my mother is a human and so is my father. In order to be part house elf someone in my family would have had to have been house elf and no one was, therefore I am not really part house elf. I believe my thinking and acting as if I believe that to be true stems from my initial desire to feel like I belonged to a group of people seeing as I felt very isolated when I first came to Hogwarts. When the Aparecium came out calling me such, I latched on to it. It made me feel as though I belong and I really do love the house elves. Now it is sort of a game and just a habit of calling myself part house elf. I really do adore them though. Love them like family I suppose you could say...which is why I like calling myself part house elf still..."

Kurumi sort of kept talking on...and on...and on...essentially saying the same thing until all of a sudden her body went rigid, eyes crossed, and she shook her head when her violet eyes came back into focus. "I'm sorry," she squeaked, her persona drastically different now. "I must have zoned out..."

SNORT!! Ariana listened as the girl began to talk and talk............ and talk

and TALK. Goodness it was JUST a question. a simple yes or no would have sufficed really. good lord. who knew she could talk soooo muchhh. taking out her quill quickly she began to write what she was saying down. just key notes really. enough to where is she wrote it in her own words it would still make sense and be true to what she had said.

then the lion snapped out of it and acted as if nothing had ever happened. heh. she didnt rememberrrr Smirk. the snake put her quill down. "Oh No your fine Hollingberry." that's right i remember your last name.. Logan remembers everyone's name. "that was good." she nodded down to the empty vial and snickered to herself. heh. this was fun.

Kurumi couldn't help but blink a few times. Wait, what was good? Rubbing her temples for a moment, Kurumi sort of just stared at the vial on the table. The empty one at the moment, and then back at her parchment. Like waking up from a long nap... Was that what had happened? The Gryffindor kind of sort of remembered speaking and saying something, but she also kind of sort of didn't.

Yeah...Kurumi really did not like Potions. It was creeping her out.

"Oh..." she nodded. "Well...as long as you got what you needed...andIdidn'tsayanythingweird..." Or embarrassing.

Kurumi then eyed her vial and then glanced back up at the other girl. Hollingberry...right. She had probably picked that one up from Sierra. Speaking of which, since her and Sierra were sort of friends now would the sixth year still call her that?

"Um...I guess it is your turn now..." And Kurumi had no idea what to ask. Wait, hadn't she gone out with Rich for a time? Only now Rich was with Aurora...what had happened there?

ehh sure, she got what she "needed" what a stupid question to ask really "you know your NOT part house elf right?" stupid question, stupid, stupid. but hey it worked and technically, her part of the assignment was done! Good job Logan. She made a mental note to give herself a pat on the back later. heh yay.

Now came her turn to go all weird and spill the truth.. Ariana had NO idea what the girl would ask her really, but whatever it was more power to her really. taking the vial she opened it and brought it up to her face as she hesitated for just a moment. At this time she noted it was oderless.. good, she wouldn't die from a bad potion! The girl then took a deep breath as she put the vial to her lips and downed it.. easy as pie right?

then her eyes we glazing over and she just sat there with this smile on her face, almost swaying from side to side. she probably looked silly, thank merlin she wouldn't remember this

Well...Ariana hadn't caught on fire or turned some horrid shade of gray or broken out into a billion boils or anything bad...so at least now she knew her potion had been brewed properly. Lewis had been right there beside her to make sure of that though and she had every confidence in his potion brewing skills. But the look that came on the Slytherin's face was rather amusing, but the Gryffindor dared not laugh. It wouldn't be appropriate.

Had Ariana laughed at her? Wait, no. She didn't want to know.

Pulling out a fresh piece of parchment and writing down a few observations right away, Kurumi set her quill down and turned her attention to Ariana. She didn't really know what to ask regarding her curiosity. Nor did she like prying into other people's personal lives and love life. She didn't like it when people bombarded her with questions about her and Lewis...so it seemed rather ridiculous that she was about to ask about Ariana's past relationship. Then again, she couldn't think of anything else and it was a rather harmless question.

"Do you miss being with Richard?" she asked point blank. "I mean...he got together with Aurora so quickly..." Not that Aurora was the sort to wait very long after breaking up with people either.

and the girl was still sitting there with that weird smile swaying from side to side lightly. She felt good, but at the same time had no idea what she was doing.. Blinking her eyes a few times she just starrrrred at the girl. what was she doing? She had no idea.

Then the girl asked the question one that she would never answer honestly to anyone.. not even herself so it seemed, for she didn't really know if she missed being with him, yeah that made sense right? then her mouth began moving and there was nothing she could do to stop it

"Of course i miss being with him. he might have been a jerk and rude and seemed not to care around others but alone he was so sweet & nice to me that it seemed to block out all the ignoring he did." she was done.. yeah? Nope.. she heard the name aurora and her mouth opened again "him getting with Aurora.. not that i liked the girl to begin with, but i do believe he's just trying to anger me with it.. it's working. It kills me to see someone else with him and even worse that she's falling for the same lies that he's told me.*shrug* "i mean he's already cheated on her once with me, so really, she's just blind. i dont think he loves her not really. and he doesnt deserve anyone really. not after how he's acted lately." and then she just trailed off slowly... and her eyes blinked a few times and she put her hands up on the table..

Why was she looking at her like that? Ariana looked down at the table at the empty vial and swallowed hard before looking back up at the girl..

Okay. Hold on a second. Kurumi actually literally gripped the table while she allowed herself to sort of sort through everything that had just been said. So she still missed him. Kurumi wasn't too surprised by this because Kurumi still missed Jonathan - just not in the romantic sense. She missed talking to him and the conversations they used to have. She missed him as a friend.

What came next...well...all THAT was a bit shocking to say the least. And then there was that word love. Hogwarts students seriously were throwing it around way too much these days - at least in Kurumi's opinion. Maybe she was just being too self righteous, but it had taken her and Lewis over a year to say those words to each other and even then it sort of felt like it had been fast. Not wrong. Just fast.

But she was getting carried away with herself.

Jaw hanging open just a little gawking, Kurumi looked at the Slytherin in front of her and juuuuuuuuuuust as the potion's effects were wearing off she spoke. "You...he...he broke your heart and then you helped him possibly break someone else's heart?" Yeah, Kurumi wasn't aware that the potion had worn off...nor that she had spoken really. She was sort of in shock.

As Belle was making her way to the Library study area, she put her bag down and started to take her notebook out. She was wondering where Ethan was. Hmm...maybe he wasn't here yet. It probably takes him a little while to get here. Belle then reached into her backpack and wondered how she should start the DADA homework. She noticed the Gryffindor Prefect Krummi was practicing something. She smiled and continued with her work.

Ethan had only taken a short break from OWL studying to run down and get a quick espresso. Although he was starting to think he was drinking too many of those.. one in the morning to help him wake up, then one in the evening to help him stay awake. It was probably no wonder he was having trouble getting a decent amount of rest between the caffeine and the sleeping bags.

The boy hurried back to the library, knowing he now had a study partner for at least a little bit. At least that would make the monotonous work a little more fun. Smiling as he saw her, Ethan walked over and gave Belle a quick hug. "Hi, Belle, so glad I got your message," he said, when he pulled away. "So how've you been? I haven't seen you in forever..."

Belle beamed when she saw Ethan. Belle hugged him back and replied, "I am glad you came to help with me with the homework. I am clueless at what to do to be perfectly honest." as she looked down at the homework assignment with a disgust look.
When Ethan asked how she was, where did she begin? "Hmm well i have been busy with keep up with lessons, i am taking well deserved breaks so i will not stress out. I even go out on the quidditch field and do a few jogs around the field. But other than that, i am keeping myself sane let's say that." she smiled to herself. It was amazing how fast the year was going already. After she spaced out for a couple second she looked at Ethan and asked, "How have you been doing mister? I haven't seen your face in forever and i have missed it."

Ethan set his books and journal down on the table. "Sure, no problem," he said with a smile. "It was getting boring studying by myself.. nice to have a friend to do homework with once in a while, right?" Now, what did they have to do again? The boy began flipping through his notes.

He looked up as Belle spoke. Chuckling, he responded,"I'm not bad.. really busy with classes and studying. Seems like that's all I ever do anymore, what with this being my OWL year.. how did you handle it?" She would have had hers last year, this being her sixth year at Hogwarts. "I am making sure I leave a little time for fun though." But if you asked him, it wasn't nearly enough time.. He flipped through his notes again.. What were those spells called? Something with fingers...

Belle smiled and was agreeing that it was fun to do it with friends. "Yeah i agree, having a friend to help out is always the best thing." Belle saw he was flipping through his notes for the defense against the dark arts.
When Ethan asked how did she handle her OWL year, Belle tried to remember. "You know to be honest...it is all a blur. Like all i remember is book after book and notes after notes." she said with her hand on her forehead.But i did try to have some fun. I wrote to my mom like every week saying how stressed i was."
Belle was trying to remember the assignment. "Well Ethan i think we need to know the wand movement for Pertrificus Digitrius and Torparticus. Do you have any ideas?" Belle asked before she gave her opinion.

Ethan gave an exasperated laugh. That's exactly what this year seemed to him.. a blur. "Yeah.. sounds a bit like that.. can't wait for OWLs to be over, though.. then maybe some more time will be freed up for me." The boy looked down and smiled a bit, thinking how he spent most of his free time lately.

Ethan glanced up at Belle as she spoke. "Right.. Pertrificus Digitrius and Torparticus.. I just saw those in here." The Ravenclaw turned to the correct spot in his notes. Reading, he said, "Pertrificus Digitrius is an upside-down U shape and makes fingers stiff and stuck together.. Pertrificus Torparticus is just a jab and it makes your fingers feel all tingly." He looked up at Belle. "Do you want to try it first or should I?"

Belle laughed and said, "After my OWLS's like my brain felt like mush. But you do have a lot more free time. I know i did." she smiled and reminisced the good times. But now her NEWT's were biting her in the behind. She had to focus. Belle was glad that Ethan and her were on the right path.
When Ethan asked who should try first, "Ummm well whatever you feel comfortable with. I did the Torparticus spell first on Minnie actually last class and i did it successfully. So if you want me to go first, i would not mind."

Ethan pushed his notes aside and shrugged. "Alright if you're pretty good at it, you can start first." He held up his non-wand hand in front of the Prefect. "I wasn't able to practice that one yet anyway.. so I can watch you and get some tips, maybe." The boy gave Belle a tentative smile and prepared himself to have his fingers feel all tingly. "Okay.. have at it," he said, bracing himself.

Belle was nervous to try the spell but she did feel confident. Ethan trusted her and that is all that mattered. Belle took a deep breath. She did it before she can do it again..
Belle remembered what Ethan said..."Pertrificus Torparticus is just a jab and it makes your fingers feel all tingly."
"Okay here i go.." she began. She took out her wand. She did the incantation and said "Pertrificus Torparticus!" and did a little jab. She closed her eyes afterwards. She hoped the spell worked on Ethan. "Did it work?" Belle asked Ethan nervously.

Ethan held his hand up in front of Belle, somewhat apprehensive. He didn't know why he would be.. she was a 6th year after all and should be fine at the spell. Not like the spell was anything bad anyway, right? But he sensed her hesitation, which made him slightly wary..

The boy held his breath as she pulled out her wand, awaiting a tingly feeling in his hand. He hadn't done this one in class so he wasn't completely sure what it would feel like.. though he could guess. He peered at his fingers after Belle performed the spell and he shook his head. They were the same as before. Well, that was weird.. he was sure he would have felt something...

Ethan took a peek at his notes, then chuckled a little. "I think the incantation was wrong," he said looking up with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, I read it wrong to you.. It's just Torparticus.. " Without the Petrificus part. "The wand motion was right though." Hopefully Belle wouldn't be too mad at his confusion.. he just got mixed up between the two.

As Belle opened her eyes. Ethan said she did the incantation wrong. Belle let a sigh of relief and she was not mad at all. "Oh okay, that is fine. I do not blame you. Well let's try it again i suppose."
Belle felt more confident now. All she had to say was Torparticus. That was it. She knew she had to do the same wand movement as before. Belle held out her wand and said confidently..."Torparticus!" with a short little jab at Ethan's hand. Ethan seemed hesitant but she knew he trusted her. Belle asked him again with a grin, "Did it work this time?"

Ethan gave Belle a grateful smile. He felt bad that he had made extra work for her, but had to blame it on his exhaustion. Staying up so late studying for OWLs often left his mind in a tired and foggy state. Good thing she wasn't upset..

He watched his hand again as Belle performed the spell.. this time with the correct incantation. Smirking slightly, the boy noticed that his fingers felt a little funny, but he wasn't completely sure if it was the way it was supposed to be. Looking over at Belle, Ethan said, "Well, my fingers feel a little tingly.. but just the tips.. Is that how it's supposed to be or is it the whole finger?" He shrugged a little as he wasn't sure.. he hadn't practiced it yet and no one had done it on him before. "Want to try again? After you reverse it first, I mean."

Alex headed to the library to complete his transfiguration homework, and smiled when he saw that he was not the only one who had picked this spot to practice. He waved at his house prefect, who was practicing nearby, and took a seat at a nearby table before pulling out his wand. Alright, time to inflict annoying pain and discomfort on himself. Sigh.

"Petrificus Digitus!" he exclaimed, making the upside down U like they had practiced in class and pointing at his left hand. He immediately felt his fingers tense up and was unable to bend them. GAH he hated this feeling so so so so much. He picked up his hand and saw how it was completely stiff and unable to move. Perfect. Now to try again.

"Finite," he muttered, pointing his wand at his hand and letting his fingers breathe once more. He cracked his knuckles a few times--it felt weird if he didn't--and prepared to practice again.

Belle remembered she did the spell on Minnie. She said what minnie said. "Well i think the spell makes the person's fingers feel numb." she shrugged from what she remembered from class.

Belle thought she could try it at least one more time. "Sure why not, after my third time, it will be your turn to do the spell on me." Belle said to Ethan. Belle said the reverse spell. She said pointing her wand at his hand, "Finite!" Belle took a deep breath and hoped the reversal worked. She was sure it did.

She took out her wand and said, "Toparticus!" with the short little jab and she thought she got the hang of the spell down by now. She hoped Ethan's hand was numb by now.

Alex really hated this spell, but he knew he had to keep practicing otherwise he wouldn't get full marks for his homework. Sigh. He was very picky about his hands--he was not a fan of them feeling weird or stiff or anything out of the ordinary! He twirled his wand in his hands a couple of times, stalling his practice, before sighing and going back to the spell.

"Petrificus Digitus!" he said, getting a little lazy on the U this time. Whoops. Nothing happened. He felt a little stiff in his pinky area, which freaked him out a bit, and tried again. "Petrificus Digitus!" he exclaimed again, feeling his hand stiffen up as he did the wand movement correctly this time. Gah, this was an awful feeling, he wanted to be done with it!

Ethan nodded. Yeah.. Belle had gotten it close, but not exactly right, he supposed.. His fingers were numb, but only the tips. Not bad for a start.. a little more practice and she'd have it down, he was sure. As she ended the spell, Ethan held up his hand again for her to give it another try.

The boy glanced over at his hand as Belle cast the spell. His fingers were definitely a lot more numb then the last time.. and not just the tips. "That was better," he told the girl. "My fingers feel more numb.. One more try for good measure? And then I'll try on you.. ok?" He wiggled his fingers a bit as the numbness was sorta uncomfortable, then held them up in front of her again so she could end the spell and try again.
