Way back behind the many bookshelves and bookcases a cozy area has been created for any Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. It’s a big comfy area with clusters of armchairs and tables surrounding magical reading lamps which give off different levels of light all appropriate for reading. The clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects.

Here and there a few lone armchairs can be found for a student to enjoy some solitary reading, and a number of comfy sofas for any who wants to stretch out and put their feet up. Be sure not to have muddy feet though!

A soft glow of light is present throughout the area with more magical reading lamps in each possible reading space. Be sure to keep your voices down and respect those students who wish to read in quiet.

No food or drink is allowed in the study area!

I mean the hardest part is trying to get yourself to do it and since we both are trying to do that right now, we can motivate each other."

That was really dumb.. and just bizarre enough for him to make up a dream about it that would be convincing enough for Elwood. "That might make for a good dream foretelling her kidnapping.. or death."

Tay wasnt going to even think of choosing that one since it was his find, of course, so she was going to look for one after he was done. "Right?" Ethan laughed a little more heartily at the pixie lady. "Well, that's good.. enemies are not really a great thing to have," he gave her a little smile before turning back to his notes. Hmm.. what were symbols that could mean danger.. or abduction? He'd have to check his dream analysis book later.

He turned fully to listen to Taylor as she spoke. He nodded in some places, smiled in others, then chuckled a bit when she was finished. That was quite a mouthful. "I guess that's you in a nutshell," he said with a smile. "I am really sorry about the deaths in your family though.." he added, smile faded. Those sorts of things were always hard for him to hear. "I didn't know you went to Beauxbatons.." Ethan said with a hint of excitement in his voice. "I spent the last four years there, just transferred this year." How fun.. he missed his old school quite a bit and now he could talk to someone who shared an experience.

About him.. Ethan thought for a moment. "Well.. you already know that I transferred from Beauxbatons.. Let's see, I was born in Germany but my parents are English, so I get the privilege of being both." He grinned before continuing. "Um.. I'm an only child, but I have a few cousins my age.. I really like working with plants, especially experimenting with new varieties." He shrugged. "I guess that's about it. Unless there's something else you'd like to know?"

"Yeah, enemies arent great to have... though one of my exs who is kinda of my friend still keeps hurting me a little so maybe i will have one soon..." She sighed, "It is fine. It is great to know another Beauxbaton transfer." She smiled at him, "That sounds so interesting! What is Germany like? How is being an only child like? The boy just didn't get that whole break-up, then hurtful retaliation kind of thing.. and there seemed to be a lot of it going around. "It's a great school, isn't it?" He had gotten used to Hogwarts, made some friends and all, but still really missed it. "So who's your twin? I wonder if I've met her.. Is she a Ravenclaw as well?" Ethan couldn't recall seeing anyone else around the common room who looked like Taylor, but perhaps they weren't identical.. or were in different houses.

He chuckled lightly to Taylor's questions. He was glad she seemed so interested.. but he was used to being modest so it embarrassed him just slightly. "Germany is lovely.. It's really beautiful where I live. Gorgeous countryside.. but we live close to a nice, quiet town as well." He thought for a moment before continuing. "Well.. I don't know any different, I guess. I wouldn't know what it was like to have a big family or be without one of my parents." Thinking about it, he probably took that fact for granted. "I grew up with my cousins though.. so it's not like I was lonely or anything." Only children tended to have that stigma attached, he thought. "So, do you like having such a big family?"

"He is an amazing friend when we arent fighting... as well as my now cousin so we cant exactly avoid each other..." She grew silent as she realized that what she had said might have seem odd, "Oh, gosh... I meant his father married my aunt like a year ago and yeah..." Tay was blushing a bit, "At least it wasnt like Max and I where we were dating and our parents met and fell in love so they dated and eventually got married and was pregnant with a girl when we were still dating... that quickly changed since I couldnt stand the fact that he was basically my brother then..." Taylor went bright red, "I'm so sorry... I dont know why I just told you all that... I guess you are just so easy to talk to..." She glanced down and twisted her emerald ring before looking back at him. Tay slowly went back to her normal color. "Hogwarts is indeed great." Taylor nodded and smiled. "Well she was a Ravenclaw but she moved away like a year ago, going to a different school and living with our dad's family since she hates my mom and me now..." She sighed, "I always wanted to go to Germany." Tay laughed and looked at Ethan. "Cousins are always fun." Taylor nodded. "It depends on the day... I mean I dont really hang with my inner family as much as my extended family. We all live on at least 50 acres if not more of land and we live in the same town... or outskirts of town so we can ride our horses to each other's houses if we dont want to floo there. I sometimes go live with my brother since he took over my parents' estate when my father died and my mother remarried instead of living with my mom at the cottage down the road. I adore my stepfather and I am best friends with my stepbrother... the one i was telling you about. I dont really like my twin right now nor do I like my younger two siblings as much since I have to babysit them a lot and they are annoying and spoiled. I enjoy hanging with Lori and Damon, who are my cousins. Lori is my blood cousin while the other one, I told you about earlier. I like my aunt but my uncle... Damon's father hates me and Sage, who is Damon's mother's brother hates my guts..." Tay sighed and rubbed her forehead. "But it is amazing to have a big family... especially the parties." Taylor laughed, "Those are really fun... though I kinda of wished that I had my mother when I was growing up instead of just my dad..." There was a hint of sadness in her eyes, "But oh well, you cant change the past so it is no use in worrying about it." Tay realized how much she had just said and blushed again, "I am sooooo sorry about how much I talked just then..."

Ethan listened carefully as Taylor tried to explain. Cousin? He gave her a quizzical look until she further described the relationship. As she delved further into her family dynamic, it seemed to get more complicated. He did his best to follow, not really saying anything - just listening and trying to comprehend. As she finished, he sadly nodded and said in regard to her words about the past, "That's very true.. but sometimes it's easier said then done." He gave her a friendly smile and said, "Oh, please don't be sorry.. I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to talk to me like that. You must have had a lot to get off your chest." Ethan could really see them being friends - she was such a sweet girl.

"You have quite a complex family, though," he said with a light chuckle. His seemed so boring in comparison.. though he didn't really think that a bad thing. The boy remembered what she had said earlier.. "We have a lot of land too.. not fifty acres though. More like twenty.. We have several horses too. And a pair of Abraxan. Fun to ride," he added with a grin.

Tay laughed and didnt think about how she kinda of invited him to come hang at her house just then. She wouldnt have been too embarassed by that since she thought he would make an interesting and fun friend.

It was time to do homework. It HAD to get done. Milton had been slacking lately because of several reasons: lack of sleep, snoozing in class, quidditch practice, stressing out in general, and not to mention the pounding headache that had been coming and going for the last month. It just hadn't been a good month for Milton, really.

With a heavy sigh, Milton dropped his bag onto a table in a corner where it was darker and pulled out his books and notes. Now if only he could remember which classes he had homework in. Ugh.

Anya actually had her school bag! This was beyond a miracle. And here she was in the library! It... was the craziest event of her young life. She wasn't really sure where her distaste of the library came from. Maybe it was just... a fear handed down from her older brother? Or maybe she just assumed magic libraries were dangerous?

And who could blame her? Muggle movies didn't portray a good image of them.

Flipping his history textbook open, Milton began to read very slowly. But after about ten minutes of reading the same paragraph over and over again, he decided to give up already. SIGH. Milton's head ended up in between his hands and he just ~~glared~~ stared at his textbook. This was not working.

Hearing faint footsteps, Milton looked up to see his best friend walk up to his table... and totally not even great him. Milton looked over at Anya with a raised eyebrow before his attention turned to the apple that was now sitting on his notes. Milton siggghhhed and slumped over, leaning his head on Anya's shoulder. "Hi," he said ~~pathetically~~ quietly. Then he eyed the apple again. "Unless that apple is laced with a sleeping potion or extra brain power, I don't want it."

Milton looked over at Anya with a raised eyebrow before his attention turned to the apple that was now sitting on his notes. Milton siggghhhed and slumped over, leaning his head on Anya's shoulder. "Hi," he said ~~pathetically~~ quietly. Then he eyed the apple again. "Unless that apple is laced with a sleeping potion or extra brain power, I don't want it."

Anya gave his leg a little sympathetic pat.

"You know how I feel about potions." she said simply. She was going to shrug... but Milton's head was kind of in the way. And she really didn't want to make his headaches worse.

"Besides. Poisoned apple. Yeah... definitely not doing that." Not that Milton would know what that meant. Unless... he got a lesson in muggle fairy tales that she didn't know about.

Which. Whatever. She didn't know what he did in his off time.

"What are you doing?" she asked taking a look at what was spread out along the table. "History of Magic? Want me to help?" She could read to him or something.

~~GIGGLE! She could read to him like she read to the kids at the hospital. This could be WAYYY funner than she expected.~~

Anya smiled a little a little and resisted the urge to give his cheek a kiss. He just looked so... cute and sicky. And everyone knew that Anya couldn't resist taking care of someone.

She blamed it on her parents.

She slid the book over toward her being extra careful not to move the shoulder Milton was leaning on. "I'll read it to you." she said.

She cleared her throat a little and let her eyes scan the page. "Once upon a time..." she said in her normal "reading fairy tales voice."

She scanned the page more.

"It was 16-something or other..."

Milton scooted a little closer and readjusted his head on Anya's shoulder. There. That was more comfortable. Then he watched Anya pick up his history book and groaned. "What happened to me saying I don't want to do it anymore?" His head hurt too much to even think about reading.

Sighhhhh. "Goodnight," he mumbled, ignoring the beginning of her story. And with that, he stumbled out of his chair and flopped onto one of the couches. Ohhh, yes, that was much comfier.

"Fine, fine. No homework." Anya said tossing the book back on the table. Yeah... hopefully the librarian didn't see the blatant lack of respect.

She walked on over to the couch. She lifted up his head and took the spot underneath. He could decide if he wanted to lay back down now.

She looked over at him. "...really?" she asked in a quiet concerned voice.

She watched him for a few seconds. Was he having trouble with the light? She took of her tie and offered it to him. Maybe that would help?

She was quiet for a few seconds. "I don't want you to play in your match..."

Anya frowned. That didn't sound good at all. Maybe he had some sort of... post-concussion sickness. Whatever it was... it didn't sound... or look good. And she was worried.

And, maybe she was overreacting just a tad, but as the daughter of two doctors she heard loads of stories where people thought they were fine but something terrible happened.

And Anya was NOT letting Milton become one of those stories.

She glanced between the tie in her hand and Milton. "For your eyes." she said. She'd have offered sunglasses if she had any on her, but she didn't. So her tie would have to do.

"I'm serious Milton." she said with a frown. "You just... can't play..." she frowned deeper. "Not when you're like this..."
