Tay smiled at him and then looked at him, "I dont suppose that you could rip my heart out? No? Then I am trying to find a potion that will make me emotionless or even just have no feelings toward him..." Taylor gestured to the books.

Maxwell smiled and hugged her back. "Good, cause you're stuck with me for life." He looked at the stack of books. "So...what can i do to help you get over him?" He asked.

Tay smiled at what he said. "I dont suppose you could rip out my heart? No?" She grimaced and sighed, "I am trying to find a potion that would make me emotionless or at least indifferent to Damon." Taylor gestured to the books.

Maxwell sighed. "Tay, running away and forgetting won't help you..Every failed relationship is a lesson. You have to learn from it and move on, if it were only so easy though.." He said wishing he could take his own advise.

Tay sighed, "I know you are right..." She frowned and glanced up at him. "I guess I just need to distract myself..." Taylor trailed off.

Gwen listened to him talk about famous people in the muggle world, before Jory started asking her a few questions. ‘Well, I enjoy reading pretty much anything…’ Ughh. She sounded like such a nerd. ‘I’m quite fond of the tragicomedies’ True. ‘As about the movies, I enjoy dramas, but I don’t really like action movies’ Those where sometimes really boring. After she finished talking, the fifth year heard Jory say something. ‘Thanks’, she told him, as a reply to his offer of burrowing any books. ‘I really want to read one of the crime books you have been talking about’ Hmmm. But there had to be a lot of that kind. ‘By the way… isn’t there a famous muggle author… Agatha Christie?’ Just a guess. She didn’t know a lot about muggle authors.

But it looked like she was right about the Linkin Park song. ‘My favourite genre’, she answered his question about rock music. ‘But I don’t listen to muggle music very often’ Yes, mostly wizard bands... ‘You might have heard of umm…’ Hmm. Someone famous from the wizarding world… ‘… the Weird Sisters?’ The ones with the hippogriff song. Jory had to know them.

Hmm. Looks can be deceiving? ‘How did you expect me to react?’, she questioned, though she heard the Hufflepuff say something else next… Did she suspect that? No. Maybe it would have been better if she would have suspected it before Ari told her that on the train ride. Ughh. She had reacted like it was a calamity. And now… well… how else could she have reacted? At least now her job was done. But what could she reply to Jory? ‘Not exactly’ True. She wouldn’t have suspected it if the Gryffindor hadn’t told her that before…

Jory listened to Gwen and nodded. She did know about the Muggle world and he told her that. Some wizarding folks hardly anything about it if any at all. "And we aren't that bad,'' he thought once again forgetting he was a wizard. "Neither are wenot that primitive...we've got loads of technology.'' He grinned. "And I don't like dramas very much,'' he said. He preferred movies like Spiderman, Batman, The Hulk, Daredevil and so on. And the crime movies and series were also his favourite. "Sure, I've got a couple in my trunk. I'll get one for you later.'' Agatha Christie... "Yup, she lived ages ago,'' the boy said. "I've only read a couple of her books though.'' He made up his mind to get his hands on some more after he completed OWLs.

"There's so much music in the muggle world, you know,'' the Puff told his friend. "Broaden your horizons by listening to them,'' he added with a wink. Music was the only other world he got lost in, besides books. "Of course I know them. I think they're the best out of all the wizarding singers that I've heard.''

Jory was relieved to hear to he hadn't shown anything. He would have spent ages worrying about who else figured everything out. "Well, um...,'' he began. "I expected a bit of shouting but since we are in the library, furious whispering would be more appropriate. Or maybe you stalking out of here and not speaking to me for a while, at least.'' Yes, that's pretty much what he had expected- he certainly hadn't expected her to jump for joy either.

As Jory offered to lend her one of his books, the fifth year responded with a nod. ‘Thanks’, she finally said, before listening to him move on to another topic- music. ‘Maybe’, she answered, though actually thinking that she should start listening to more muggle music. Studying for OWLs took her mind off a bit from the whole Ari-Jory thing. But the next thing he said made the Ravenclaw start to wonder when she would get used to them acting all sentimental.

Shouting?

No. She wouldn’t have done that.

An eye roll and a cold look would have been more Gwen-like. Mehh. Anyway. ‘Well, that was one way...’ Getting out of there as fast as possible. Truth be told, she had been a little mad at Jory, but that was only when Ari talked about him for an eternity on the train ride. So no, she wasn’t actually mad at him. Or Ari. Just ehh... kind of puzzled. And turning green every time her bestie talked about the sentimental stuff. Hmph.

But anyway- back to OWLs. It looked like they were done... at least for what they had planned that day. ‘Thank you for helping me out in Muggle Studies’, Gwen told him. ‘I really appreciate it’, she said honestly. She wouldn’t have accepted to get help at this subject if it would have been someone who would have pointed out how little she knew about muggles. ‘I think I’ll have to go... Umm... guess I’ll see you around?’, she asked Jory.

Well, she had promised one of her friends that she would show her the drawings in her sketchbook later that day. And that meant that she needed to get to the Common Room in time... and then all the way down to the dungeons to meet the Slytherin... Hmm... maybe she’ll go for a walk before that? Some fresh air would be good. And a conversation with someone who wasn’t in love. Yes, as much as se liked spending time with Ari and Jory... she just... needed some time without hearing anything about mushy, sentimental stuff.

"It's no problem,'' Jory replied, already thinking about which book he thought Gwen would like. "A cry in the night? or On the street where you live,'' he wondered. He had thoroughly enjoyed both though he had figured out all of the mystery but one from A cry in the Night when he was reading it. Who expected a kid not even in his teen years as yet to kill his own mother, after all?

"All the same,'' the badger replied. "You took it well.'' He had been expecting a bit worse. But it was just his imagination running away as usual. A thought suddenly hit him. Maybe Ari had confided her feelings to her best friend. Yes, that would explain why Gwen wasn't surprised when he told her everything. That had to be it.

"You're welcome,'' Jory replied as he watched Gwen gather up her stuff. "Thank you too. With Arithmancy, I mean. You've been a big help.'' At least he had gotten help from a friend so he had been much more comfortable taking the help.

"Yup,'' he said. "Mostly in class I should think. Take care. I'll just stay here a bit longer.'' He decided he would read the Arithmancy text for another couple of minutes or so before heading back to his common room. And then finding Ari, probably?

Entering the study area with her heavy book bag slung over her right shoulder, Jasmine let a soft sigh escape her as her greenish-blue eyes searched for a quite spot to do her homework. She had tried to do her work in the common room but, that place was anything but quiet. Seeing an empty table in the far back corner, she quickly made her way over there. Out of habit she kept her head down and avoided any eye contact with anyone.

Aaaaah.

Peace and quiet.

it was great, really, to have peace and quiet. Which was something the library ALWAYS had...thank Merlin. With her history textbook tucked underneath her arm, she plopped down at an empty table, opening the book...she needed to do some reading up on the stupid trains...she still hadn't gotten hers to run...it was much harder without Hannah, as much as Elliot didn't want to admit that.

Hmph.

She sighed and a blew a piece of hair from her face in an annoyed fashion, clearly irked by this...lack of perfection.

Her perfectionism was just becoming...worse and worse. Unfortunately.

Peace and quiet the two things she loved about the library.

Always quiet...No one yelling...

It was perfect for someone like Nerida.

She had grabbed a book as she left the room...Not even knowing which one it was. One of the school textbooks its the only ones she kept on hand. As she walked into the library she saw Elliot some one she quite grew to love. She walked on over to her and plopped down next to her. Smiling she said "Heyyyy Elliot!!

Aaaaand a disruption came in the form of a very cheerful Nerida. Eliot shot her a smirk..."Greeeaaaat. Spoiling my peace and quiet, are you?" she asked sarcastically...because despite the fact that her fellow 'claw was very different than Elliot, she still was fond of her...a little.

More than a little, okay?

"I haven't seen you around...where have you been, hmm?" She asked casually, flipping through her book and finding the page on the Hogwarts' Express...although, since Nerida was here now...it didn't look like she would be getting much work done.

Laura walked to the Library study area, with her Muggle Study homework in her hands, she had decided that she would try and get it finished here, since if she went in the Hufflepuff Study area everyone wanted to know what she was doing, she was hoping that she wouldn't have people asking her what she was doing, saying that she was finding it hard to figure out what she was suppost to be doing.

Ella walked into the library, arms full of books. The third year had been slacking a bit on the homework front lately, which was totally unlike her. She wanted to blame Quidditch, or the fact that winter break was right around the corner, though she knew Harvey was her main distraction. She'd much rather be spending time with him than doing school related things, which was a completely new thing for her. It was strange and puzzling and...a bit alarming.

As she headed towards the study area, the small blonde spotted her best friend and smiled. Good, some company. At least Laura could force her to focus, yeah? Especially if she asked.

"Hey, friend." She greeted, giving Laura a smile. "Working hard or hardly working?" And she plopped down next to her fellow badger, placing her books on the table with a sigh.

Laura had been scribbling things down and crossing them out as she tried to figure out what she was going to do for the Muggle Study homework, she looked up and took one look at Ella and giggled before speaking. "Okay so who's the lucky boy?" Laura was sure that only a boy would make Ella forget about work and well she had been like it with Oakey but she was glad it was over now because she could concentrate on work, instead of impressing a boy.

Laura sighed. "I'm working hard if you must know." Laura was fed up with people thinking that she wasn't working at all. "You do know that I do work when I want to." Laura sighed before looking at her friend appologetic. "I'm sorry Ella." Laura smiled, she had missed her bestie and was worried that everyone was avoiding her for some strange reason.

Ella smiled at her friend, her cheeks turning red. "Harvey and I..." Wait, Laura didn't know about this yet? Well they hadn't really seen each other around so it wasn't that surprising, she guessed. "We're...together now." And she bit her lip to stop the gigantic smile that was threatening to show itself. "I um....it's good. I'm...really happy about it." Bounce.

Ella blinked at her friend, throwing her hands up in the air. "Laura I didn't mean it like...I was only joking around." Sheesh. What was up with Laura? That was...a little aggressive. "Are you okay?" Because of course, Laura's apology was accepted but Ella was now a bit concerned.

Laura looked at Ella. "I am soo happy for you." Laura smiled at Ella. "I hope you and Harvey are well." Laura looked at her friend and give her a big smile. "Well just remember that we have points to make up and we have work hard in class and things." Laura giggled.

"I know." Laura sighed, she wasn't going to tell her friend what was wrong she could figure it out in her own time, she was missing all her friends and they had been hiding from her lately, she was really upset that she hadn't seen Ella for ages. "Yeah, Yeah I'm fine." Laura put on a fake smile and went back to working on her Muggle Study lesson.

"Thanks, Laura." The third year said, smiling sheepishly. "We are...I'm... Well he's great and we have fun together so yeah, yeah it's nice."Ella truthfully hadn't been this happy in a while, it was good to feel like her old self again. She raised an eyebrow when her friend reminded her about points, rolling her eyes playfully. "Believe me, I know." Frown. "I can't believe we're so far behind...we'll catch up though." They would turn things around.

The sigh and the short answers had Ella feeling all kinds of confused. It was pretty clear that her friend was not okay, she knew her too well to believe the fake smile was genuine. She was also a bit upset that Laura was lying to her face too, knowing how much Ella hated lies. The third year frowned, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I know you're not fine, I can tell. But if you don't want to talk about it..." Shrug.

Ella pulled some parchment towards her, taking a quill out of her bag and starting her own work. She wasn't in the mood to play detective and if Laura didn't want to talk, Ella wasn't going to push her friend.

Belle was on her way to do her homework. She wanted to start on her muggle studies homework . She didn't want to get far behind. While she was going to find her table, she saw her fellow puffs working together and talking. "Hey Ella and Laura!" Belle beamed at the two of them. She noticed they were in deep conversation and started to work. At least she said Hi to them to let them know she was there.

Laura looked at her friend. "I'm glad that you are happy." Laura smiled at her friend as she looked at Ella. "I so want to meet Harvey one day soon." Laura bounced up and down on her chair, she seriously wanted to meet the guy who was making Ella so happy.

Laura sighed, her friend had forgotten her birthday and that is why Laura was upset. "I'm just well.." Laura sighed. "It my birthday today and everyone seems to have forgotten." Laura sighed, she was really upset about this situation, she knew Ella was busy with other things that why she didn't mind her not coming to her party but it was like no one realised it was her birthday today.

The third year smiled, nodding. "Yeah...yeah, and I really want you to meet him as well. He's quite nice, I think you'll like him." At least Ella hoped she would. It was important to her that her best friends got along with her... boyfriend heh. That word still made her smile.

Ella sat there, looking at her friend nervously. What was wrong with Laura that she was acting like this? Wait, what?! Forgotten her birthday? Frown. "Laura I didn't forget..." And she pulled her bag onto her lap, moving things around inside before she pulled out a purple gift bag. "I've had this for ages, got it over the summer..." And she handed the bag to her friend, a small smile on her face. "Laura, you're my best friend. I'd never forget your birthday."

Laura looked at Ella and smiled. "Well Bestie as long as your happy I'm happy." Laura couldn't believe how much they were both growing up, she had fallen in love with someone and then it had ended and now she was in love with someone else but her bestie knew that.

Laura looked at Ella with wide eyes. "You didn't forget?" Laura couldn't believe how stupid she had been. "I'm sorry I thought you forgot, I've just had a lot on my mind lately." Laura took the gift from Ella and smiled. "I love it Ella." Laura got up and walked to her bestie before hugging her. "I just thought with you being so busy and stuff you had forgot about me." Yeah Laura had missed spending time with her bestie.

Phoenix was ensconsed in a corner of the library study area over her homework (there were several books that she was reading just because they seemed interesting but for the moment they lay abandoned) she was almost finished with her essay and then she could get back to her reading.

Taylor came in and sat down at a table. She cracked open her book and started to flip through it. Tay needed help with Arithmancy. Taylor didnt understand it at all.
