"I'm serious too, Anya. I'm not letting my team down again just because of some stupid headache." Milton rubbed one of his temples and sighed. "I am completely fine." Yes, and that is why he was curled up on the couch in a dark corner with his head in Anya's lap acting like a total baby. Because he was fine. Really. |
Quote:
That. And. She was sure that anyone would be able to tell with how he's acting. "Milton..." she said softly. "I'm... pretty sure this is more than just a headache..." He had to know she was right. "Just... forget quidditch for a minute and don't be stupid about this..." |
Quote:
"Anyaaa," he groaned. "I told you, I'm fine. I get headaches all the time. No big deal." Although, him saying that probably just made it worse. Again, not so bright. Milton sighed and sat up slowly. He rested his elbows on his legs and buried his face in his hands and stayed quiet for a moment. "I'm not being stupid, I'm being a captain. A good captain. I'm have to play, okay? I'm not going to miss another game." Why couldn't she understand that? |
Quote:
He needed to stop. He knew she knew he was lying. And he better be glad that he was feeling bad. Because, it totally warranted a nice little hit to the arm. But Anya refrained. She frowned. She scooted a little closer toward him. She started rubbing her back. "And I get that..." she cooed in a soft voice. "But... that's really no excuse not to take care of yourself. They'll understand." And if not... they'd have her to deal with. "I really don't want you to play." |
Quote:
Milton frowned and shook his head. "But this isn't about you, Anya... This is about me being a captain and making sure we win." It was his responsibility, wasn't it? |
Quote:
"This isn't about being a good captain either." she shot back. She narrowed her eyes slightly. "And of course it has something to do with me. Everything you do has something to do with me." That's just how things were between them. "You have got to promise me you won't play. Idon'twantanythingtohappentoyou." |
Quote:
When Anya narrowed his eyes at her, he had to look away and down at the floor. He hated it when she looked at him like that. Anya was really good at making him feel guilty. Milton rubbed his eyes. Everything you do has something to do with me. Milton sighed. Again. "I appreciate the fact that you care about me," more than anyone else, "but you can't stop me from doing this..." His voice got quieter and a frown set in as he looked at her. He could tell she was upset, and it made him sad too, but... Milton shook his head. "I can't promise that." |
Quote:
Right? "Milton. I swear. Your pride is going to kill you." Literally. Like. At the match probably. "Can I please be right about this? And if you don't believe me... we can go see the healer." She leaned back against the couch again. She started rubbing his back again and sat in silence for a few seconds. "What if I make you a deal? You miss your match and I'll miss mine. And instead of playing quidditch... we'll have... an adventure in an empty castle. Twice." |
Quote:
Milton shook his head. Really? She thought he was going to die because of this stupid illness that he didn't even HAVE? "Anya, you're right about everything else. It's not fair." And now he probably sounded like a ten year old. He was silent again for a while. He was tempted to just leave so they didn't have to keep arguing, but he didn't feel like moving. He didn't want to leave Anya on a bad note, either. At the mention of a deal, Milton turned his head to look at her and raised an eyebrow. She was offering to miss her match as long as he didn't go to his? "You're mental. No way. I'm not stopping you from playing." |
Quote:
And there was no shame in that. It was just... biology. She shook her head. "I know. I'm stopping me." She was that serious about this. |
Quote:
Cue ANOTHER sigh. "Anya, you are... completely ridiculous." Really! Milton stood up from the couch, but apparently it was too fast because he got dizzy. He immediately sat down on the chair by the table where his homework was and tried to act COOL about it because he knew Anya would be watching. Opening his eyes, he saw the apple again and grabbed it. Maybe food would help. He took a big bite of the apple and looked at Anya for a moment while he chewed on it. "Selina's gonna get ticked off if you don't go." Just saying. |
Quote:
She knew something was wrong and that he wasn't feeling well. And he thought she was the ridiculous one? She frowned a little when he started eating the apple. She might have lied to him too. And done something completely reckless. But. It wasn't her fault. If he wasn't going to listen... she was just going to let him continue eating. It was for the best. She stayed in her spot on the couch and shrugged. "Probably." she replied casually. "But I really don't care. You're more important than Selina or quidditch. If she doesn't like it, she can just kick me off the team." |
Quote:
Wait. Dumb question. Milton looked away so he didn't have to see her frown and continued to eat his apple. It tasted kind of funny, but he was hungry. Anya really didn't care if Selina kicked her off the team? Milton frowned a little. "You really care about me..." It was more of a mumble, but he knew it was a true statement. Milton blinked several times and looked at his apple. "This tastes funny..." He looked back up at Anya and swallowed the last bite. Was it old or something? And why did he feel like yawning all of the sudden? |
Quote:
Apparently he needed it in terms of quidditch. She bit her lip a little and nervously looked at him. Yeah... it tasted funny. "You're not the only one that lied today." she said simply. She quietly got off the couch and took a seat next to him. She wanted to be close by in case he fell over. |
Quote:
He kept watching her as she came over and sat next to him. He wasn't the only one that lied? What was that supposed to mean? Milton stared at her before failing to stifle a yawn. Merlin, when did he get so tired? Wait... Milton looked at the apple and blinked several times, his eyelids getting heavy. It kind of felt like.... his body was just... falling asleep... "Anya..." he said quietly before dropping the apple on the ground. "What... thehell..." Milton lifted his heavy head to look at her with eyes that did NOT want to stay open. And he suddenly knew. HE KNEW. She must have put sleeping potion in that apple! "Ihateyousomuch," he mumbled, falling forward into her lap, still fighting the urge to just sleep for the rest of his life. But after another moment, he knew it was inevitable and Milton finally fell asleep slumped over into Anya. He was so going to be mad when he woke up. |
Quote:
And she was out of options. Him being mad at her just wasn't the one she would ever be prepared to handle. Even though she knew it was coming. "Sorry." she whispered quietly. She let out a little oomph sound when his head hit her lap. Yeah... that was probably going to bruise... She carefully slipped out from underneath him. He laid him gently in the seat and packed up his things. After both bags were packed, she slung them over her shoulder. Now. She just needed to figure out how to half carry half levitate him out of here and down some stairs. Because... she kind of didn't want to answer any questions until she was in the Hospital Wing. |
Kurumi!!!! Ariana walked into the library with some books in her hands and her notes from potions class. She needed to give this truth serum to someone but ugh. she didn't have Anyone to give it to. Lammee. She really needed new friends. or someone she could just give his potion to. She eyed the library. it seemed like only a few students were there and they seemed to be in conversation about something so she decided if anything she'd just go over her potion notes and work on her wand movements and pronouncing spells. after what she almost did to Hudson in defense against the dark arts. yeah she needed to learn how to pronounce that spell geesh. Opening her potions book and setting out a new piece of parchment and her quill she doodled a bit on her paper before remembering what she was here for. 'potion, right.'. she took off her bad that she had over shoulder and set it on the table as she opened it and pulled out her tiny bottle of perfect truth serum.. err well she hoped it was perfect. Not her fault if it wasn't she did what lafay told her too. she looked around 'Anyone Want To Be A Victim!?' heh. no really, anyone? |
Quote:
Not looking at where exactly she was sitting, Kurumi ventured a glance up and was surprised to see that she had sat down at a table already occupied by someone. "Oh, sorry Ariana," she mumbled, pulling her books closer to her. "I can go find a different table if you want." |
Quote:
Turning back around she was all blahh. she HAD to do this assignment it was just to great NOT to do, and of course none of her friends were speaking to her at the moment... stupid friends. she lifted her head just in time to see Kurumi sit down across from her with loads of books. heh. its like god had answered her prayers. the gryffindor prefect and a truth potion heh. would she go for it though? maybe she already did it with someone else. Could she do it again? hmm. the fourth year set her potion out on the table. "Your fine Kurumi, i can share a table." 'looookkk at the potionn kurumiiii you know you wanna take it for mee' heh hehh were her mind vibes working? probably not Darn |
Quote:
Last Potions assignment when she had been paired up with someone had been the polyjuice one...with Sierra...and that had broken the Gryffindor to pieces because of what Sierra had done. And then Kurumi noticed that Ariana had set her vial on the table. "Is...that a hint?" she asked, nodding her head towards the clear liquid. |
Quote:
The slytherin looked back down to her parchment and began to doodle a bit. heh a volcano over here and the slytherin crest in this corner. she was about to actually open her book when the prefect said something to her. "huh?" she looked up in time to see her nodding off to the potion vial. "oh erm.. well no not really. shrug 'unless you volunteer to take it cookie girl. this could benefit both of us. we dont know one another so the truth serum can't do that much damage eh?' But if she didn't want to take it that's cool that would just mean her mind vibes were a major fail today. |
Quote:
Kurumi reached into her own bag and pulled out her vial, setting it on the table beside Ariana's with the label facing up with her name written on it in careful calligraphy. "I just so happen to need someone to take mine too," she said, eyes on the fourth year now. Seemed like a sort of win-win situation. After all, Ariana hardly knew a thing about Kurumi so she really couldn't ask anything too personal or awkward and Kurumi didn't really have a mean bone in her body so she wouldn't be asking anything weird either. "You want to trade?" |
woo! official post 1. Asking. Quote:
heh. spaceship.. BLASTOFF. Ariana drew fire coming out from under a spaceship when she heard a clunk of glass be put on the table she looked up slowly. ahh The prefect had her bottle as well. that was interesting to say the least. though she didn't know too much about the captain though that could be awesome she could ask her any random & personal thing in the world and she'd answer, no? She looked up at the girl placing her hands on the table and linking them together. eyeing the potions once more. If ariana did do her potion wrong this would be a funny way to find out. oh she was such a slytherin. "it wouldn't hurt i suppose. Are you willing to trade?" you know just confirm that this is happening plus they did have to ask permission and that was asking right? |
Quote:
She reached into her bag and pulled out her Potions parchment and glanced over the notes. Like waking up from a pleasant nap...so Kurumi wouldn't even remember what had been asked or how she had answered? This was sounding even better by the second. Folding the parchment up again, Kurumi extended her hand a bit more, waiting to see if she would take it or not. |
Post 2.. right? heh Quote:
