Ethan slid over a little closer so they could share his book. Green eyes scanned the pages for a moment before he looked up at Taylor. "So basically we could pick any event in Wizarding history and say a person who was part of that event had a foretelling dream about it." Or Muggle history, really.. but he didn't know much about that. |

That's the idea! Ethan was grinning now. "Sure," he said. "Working together.. we'll get it done in no time." And he was getting sick of homework.. get this one out of the way and he was taking a break from the studying for a while. He flipped through the book, frowning as he noticed there wasn't a whole lot he could use in it. Dream analysis, sure.. but not much about foretelling events. How was he supposed to make something up? Sighing, he stood up and said, "I'll be right back." Ethan walked over to another shelf, eyes scanning the rows of books until he found one that could prove helpful - Useless Facts and Little Known Stories of Wizarding History. Pulling it off the shelf, he sat back down with Taylor and opened it up. "Maybe this one will be better.. " he said as he flipped through pages. |

He jotted down a few notes, then took a sidelong glance at the girl next to him. She seemed tired of this homework business and he didn't blame her. Even though that was why he had come to the library, he didn't really feel much like doing it. "So, Taylor," he said as he continued to write. "Tell me about yourself." Might be nice to get to know his study buddy a little better. |

He turned fully to listen to Taylor as she spoke. He nodded in some places, smiled in others, then chuckled a bit when she was finished. That was quite a mouthful. "I guess that's you in a nutshell," he said with a smile. "I am really sorry about the deaths in your family though.." he added, smile faded. Those sorts of things were always hard for him to hear. "I didn't know you went to Beauxbatons.." Ethan said with a hint of excitement in his voice. "I spent the last four years there, just transferred this year." How fun.. he missed his old school quite a bit and now he could talk to someone who shared an experience. About him.. Ethan thought for a moment. "Well.. you already know that I transferred from Beauxbatons.. Let's see, I was born in Germany but my parents are English, so I get the privilege of being both." He grinned before continuing. "Um.. I'm an only child, but I have a few cousins my age.. I really like working with plants, especially experimenting with new varieties." He shrugged. "I guess that's about it. Unless there's something else you'd like to know?" |

He chuckled lightly to Taylor's questions. He was glad she seemed so interested.. but he was used to being modest so it embarrassed him just slightly. "Germany is lovely.. It's really beautiful where I live. Gorgeous countryside.. but we live close to a nice, quiet town as well." He thought for a moment before continuing. "Well.. I don't know any different, I guess. I wouldn't know what it was like to have a big family or be without one of my parents." Thinking about it, he probably took that fact for granted. "I grew up with my cousins though.. so it's not like I was lonely or anything." Only children tended to have that stigma attached, he thought. "So, do you like having such a big family?" |

"You have quite a complex family, though," he said with a light chuckle. His seemed so boring in comparison.. though he didn't really think that a bad thing. The boy remembered what she had said earlier.. "We have a lot of land too.. not fifty acres though. More like twenty.. We have several horses too. And a pair of Abraxan. Fun to ride," he added with a grin. |

Anya/Amy ^_^ It was time to do homework. It HAD to get done. Milton had been slacking lately because of several reasons: lack of sleep, snoozing in class, quidditch practice, stressing out in general, and not to mention the pounding headache that had been coming and going for the last month. It just hadn't been a good month for Milton, really. With a heavy sigh, Milton dropped his bag onto a table in a corner where it was darker and pulled out his books and notes. Now if only he could remember which classes he had homework in. Ugh. |
Quote:
And who could blame her? Muggle movies didn't portray a good image of them. She readjusted her bag on her shoulder and took a look around. Smiling to herself she headed into the corner. She plopped her bag down on the table and slipped into the seat without even a word. She then dug into her bag and slid an apple across the table to it rested on his notes. |

Hearing faint footsteps, Milton looked up to see his best friend walk up to his table... and totally not even great him. Milton looked over at Anya with a raised eyebrow before his attention turned to the apple that was now sitting on his notes. Milton siggghhhed and slumped over, leaning his head on Anya's shoulder. "Hi," he said |
Quote:
"You know how I feel about potions." she said simply. She was going to shrug... but Milton's head was kind of in the way. And she really didn't want to make his headaches worse. "Besides. Poisoned apple. Yeah... definitely not doing that." Not that Milton would know what that meant. Unless... he got a lesson in muggle fairy tales that she didn't know about. Which. Whatever. She didn't know what he did in his off time. "What are you doing?" she asked taking a look at what was spread out along the table. "History of Magic? Want me to help?" She could read to him or something. |
Quote:
Sigh. Back to homework. "Yeees. But I can't even concentrate on it. I've read the same paragraph like, six times and I just..." Cue frustrated sigh. UGH. "I don't want to do it anymore," he said, sitting up and shoving his books aside. |
Quote:
She blamed it on her parents. She slid the book over toward her being extra careful not to move the shoulder Milton was leaning on. "I'll read it to you." she said. She cleared her throat a little and let her eyes scan the page. "Once upon a time..." she said in her normal "reading fairy tales voice." She scanned the page more. "It was 16-something or other..." |
Quote:
Sighhhhh. "Goodnight," he mumbled, ignoring the beginning of her story. And with that, he stumbled out of his chair and flopped onto one of the couches. Ohhh, yes, that was much comfier. |
Quote:
She walked on over to the couch. She lifted up his head and took the spot underneath. He could decide if he wanted to lay back down now. "How are you feeling?" she asked softly. Yeah... she might have been a little afraid of the answer. He really needed to go to the hospital wing anytime he got hit in the head. |
Quote:
Milton looked up at her when she asked how he was feeling? Was there any use in lying anymore? "Quite horrible, actually." He closed his eyes again, because looking up at the light made the headache worse, so he turned his head away from Anya and stared at all the bookshelves. That wasn't too strenuous on his eyes. |
Quote:
She looked over at him. "...really?" she asked in a quiet concerned voice. She watched him for a few seconds. Was he having trouble with the light? She took of her tie and offered it to him. Maybe that would help? She was quiet for a few seconds. "I don't want you to play in your match..." |
Quote:
Why in the world was she holding out her tie to him? "I have a tie..." he mumbled, obviously confused. Okay... what...? Milton blinked a few times. "Ha-ha," he said sarcastically. "Not funny." He had already missed the last quidditch game, and he wasn't about to do it again. |
Quote:
And, maybe she was overreacting just a tad, but as the daughter of two doctors she heard loads of stories where people thought they were fine but something terrible happened. And Anya was NOT letting Milton become one of those stories. She glanced between the tie in her hand and Milton. "For your eyes." she said. She'd have offered sunglasses if she had any on her, but she didn't. So her tie would have to do. "I'm serious Milton." she said with a frown. "You just... can't play..." she frowned deeper. "Not when you're like this..." |
