Maxwell smirked."I should have figured you'd say something like that...normally i wouldn't have asked but i know how you are about her..." He said trailing off and not wanting to talk about Min's feelings toward Elliot. "Yeah i'm sure it'll be perfect.." The cogs in his head turning and trying to figure out what she could have planned for him, whatever it was he was sure he had to top it for her birthday. "Owl you? Boy this guy's a bloody mystery...I know when Ell and i went on our first date i planned a picnic in the orchard...Is he gonna pick you up at your common room? He'd better.." He said as if it were an all important detail.

Minerva frowned, "Sorry, but I wouldn't tease her about it even if we were friends." She thought about how it would be if Elliot and her were ever to be friends, nope she couldn't even imagine that happening. Then she blushed, "Yes it is a mystery, but I think it will be great whatever it is." she then smacked him a bit, "I dont' care if he meets me at the common room, I'm a big girl I can walk places." She giggled, nothing could ruin her great mood.

Maxwell shook his head. "No...you two have your differences...It's between you..I can't tell you how to treat each other..." He said and smiled as he nodded at her, it was good to see her in such a good mood. As upset and jealous as he had been in the past, Maxwell was actually really happy for her, how could he not feel happy about something right now? Not while things were going so well with Elliot. Then she smacked him, in a joking manner of course. "Hey, I just want to make sure he's a gentleman and pulls out all the stops for you...He'd better open every door and pull out your chair.." He said making a bit of a checklist. "You deserve a guy like that.."

Minerva smiled, "Yes.. we do have our differences, but we have one big thing in common.. you. SO if I have to be nice, I will try." Even though she knew that was going to be the hardest ting ever. Being nice to Elliot.. Oh how was she going to pull that off. Just the sight of that girl made Min's skin crawl and now she was going to try and be nice. Oh this would be interesting. Then she shook her head, "Oh still trying to be a knight aren't you." laughing a bit, "Ethan is a great guy Maxwell. You don't have to worry..." she really hoped that was true and couldn't wait to find out more about him and hopefully get closer to him.

Maxwell's face lit up at Minerva's words, now all he had to do was convince Elliot to play nice and maybe his time wouldn't have to be so split up between his friend and girlfriend, it wouldn't be as big a deal seeing them both at once. "You don't have to...but it would make me very happy if you did..." He said and wondered how she would manage to do that. "Yeah, I guess..maybe i'm just the 'knight' type of guy..." He wouldn't tell her that Elliot called him that as well, too weird, just like how he never told Elliot Min called him that...it's not like he called Elliot something he called Min.. "He'd better be a good guy...or He'll meet my sword.." He said jokingly, knight humor of course...although he did fence...and he did have a sword..so maybe he was only kinda joking.

There Michael Mick sat, near the end of the kitchen corridor. With his notebook and a muggle pen that he had took off his father's desk when he wasn't looking; he hasn't written to his father in a long time and now seemed like a better time than ever to write...Given the recent circumstances (all the common rooms locked up and no one knows how to undo it, now students have to sleep at Great Hall where all of the tables have disappeared.) Mick raised his head from his notebook and laid it against the wall, remembering the last time he saw his father. He was so happy, Mick was so nervous about leaving. For years, his father went on about his great memories at Hogwarts.



No...Father would want to hear that I'm having a good time. I can't let him down. He tore out the last two letters and crumpled them up...Well, he didn't want to lie to his father but he also didn't want to disappoint his father. Even though these crazy situations and weird happenings creep him out, he aslo didn't want to leave the school...Not yet. He did make some friends, that was enough to make Mick stay despite everything that's going on to the school.



He stopped writing because he couldn't think of anything else to write. His classes are okay, but he didn't feel like talking about that. Mick began to not care for finishing the letter, he was too pre-occupied with think about the panic-attack that nearly took place at the Great Hall, near all the other Ravenclaws. A panic-attack over sleeping in the dark...That would've given people a laugh for sure. Only one person knows of his fear of the dark and she was part of the reason why he came down here. He wanted to explore other areas of the castle; all he has seen were the grounds and the surrounding areas near his common room. He was curious about the other corridors and such...And he was secretly hoping that Laura might be around, seeing as her common room is nearby. And if not, at least he got to visit this part of school and have some peace and quiet.

Laura had decided to come and see if there was anymore news about the common room situation but since there was no Professor around, she couldn't ask them, she was about to leave when suddenly she saw Mick. "MICK!!!!!!!!" Laura ran over to him and smiled as she sat down next to him. "What you doing?" Laura was worried about the amount of paper that he seemed to have been using. "If you tell me what you need doing I can try and help if you want?"

Mick was so caught up in how he wanted to write his letter, he didn't even see Laura walk past him. But shouting his name did bring him out of his thoughts; he smiled ear to ear as she ran to sit next to him. Mick can't remember the last time he was happy to see anyone.

"I knew you would be around..." Dear god, I hope that didn't sound creepy. "Anyways, how are you Laura?" he asked. Mick quickly closed his notebook and stashed the crumbled papers to his side so she wouldn't see. He didn't know how she would react if he told her that he was planning to write about her in his letter. He almost didn't want to tell her when she brought it up, but he didn't want to lie. Hmmm... "Well, I'm a-actually writing up a little something for my father," he managed to reveal. "He sent me a letter in the mail about two weeks ago - I don't want him to worry."

"Anyways, how are you Laura?" he asked. Mick quickly closed his notebook and stashed the crumbled papers to his side so she wouldn't see.

Laura looked at Mick and smiled. "You did?" Laura was really beginning to like Mick, he was so nice. "I didn't expect you down here, but I'm happy to see you." Laura really was, she had missed him and she had no idea why, they hadn't met that oftence but Laura did miss him.

"That is awesome." Laura smiled. "Can I read it?" Laura then blushed. "I mean if you don't mind, can I read it, also can I send a letter to him myself?" Laura wanted to ask him something, but she didn't know if she should tell Mick what she wanted to know.

Mick lowered his head and smirked at himself. Yes, I was looking for you. I wanted to see you. I don't know why, but I just do. I'm a little embarrassed, but I was writing about you. Because I know my family would love to hear about the friends I'm making. He wanted to say something like that, without it sounding too weird. Is it wrong that he was overjoyed about this? So far, he has met some pretty awesome people. The last batch of friends he had were troublemakers, they even made him a troublemaker for a little while. But that part of his life is behind him.

"I don't want you to read it," he rapidly answered, looking straight into her eyes. But then realized that the response sounded way too mean. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean that -gosh I'm really sorry. I mean that it's personal and kinda silly." He said the last part in a whispering tone, hoping that she didn't hear. Mick didn't know the rules to this - well, if there are any rules. What you can say to a girl, what you can't say to a girl.

He replayed that last part of Laura's question and raised his eyebrow. "You want to write to my father?"

Laura looked at Mick and smiled. "It's okay, I understand that it's personal and you don't want someone that you hardly know to read it." Laura was a bit upset with the way Mick had sort of shapped the answer out at her but she was okay with it, she just sat there looking at him and then he whispered something that she couldn't hear and then.

*BLUSH*

Laura suddenly blushed as she looked at him. "Yeah I want to speak him, I want to tell him what a great guy you are and how nice you are to me, I also wanted to ask him what you like and when your birthday is so I can get you something awesome." Laura was going to tell Mick the truth.

The way Mick replied to her was beginning to bother him, he may not know much about the opposite sex but he does know when he has hurt someone's feelings. Instead of over-thinking about it, he simply gave Laura a hug to make up for it. "I'm sorry," he said in her ear. He then slowly pulled back, with his face turning red. My face was touching her face...Mick replayed that last thought in his head, sighing. I'm such a dork.

As Laura got into more detail about what she wanted to tell his dad, he perked up with a confident smile. He didn't know but he felt brave enough to tell her more about his rough draft letter "It just so happens, that in my letter, I was going to write a little something about you," Mick said. "Not just all about you. You know, about the new friends I'm making and you just happen to be one of those new friends. I think my father would like to hear from at least one of them..." He paused at what he was about to say next. Knowing his father, he might tell Laura some stories about Mick when he was younger. Not that he was ashamed of his past, but he wanted to tell her when he felt ready. In the end though, he trusts his father to know what's appropriate to talk about with his friends.

He looked at her, nodding his head. She was honest with him about what she wanted to write to his father about, and he wanted to be open with her too. "Go ahead, write to him. I know he'll like to hear from you."

Laura smiled at Mick as he hugged her and she hugged him back. "Thanks I needed one of those." Laura then realised that he was blushing and Laura had no idea why, though she did think it was kind of cute. "It's okay I know we've just meet but you can trust me you know." Laura smiled.

Laura looked at Mick and took out a present for him, she hoped that he like what she had wrapped up for him, in the parcel was some Bertie Botts ever flavour beans, some chocolate frogs and some mars bars. "I hope you like them."

Laura smiled as she listened to Mick. "We could write a letter together in the Library and you can check what I write and make sure everything is okay." Laura was hoping that Mick would say yes because she had never written anything to a friends father.

Mick noticed her glancing at his face when he blushed. Little by little, he became insecure by the fact that he couldn't see his own face, he didn't know if it was still red. He stared down at the floor, feeling embarrassed. Maybe feeling embarrassed was unnecessary, Mick has seen Laura blush by he tries not to think too much of it.

"It's not that I'm afraid to trust you," he explained to her. "I just hardly had anyone to talk to." His blue eyes were on her now; Mick is very aware that he's a mystery to the few that know him, he's a mystery to even himself half the time. He's sure that Laura must have her own secrets, everyone has a secret. Even if that's not the case, he wants to believe that they are not that different from each other. He grinned at her, placing his hand over hers. "Believe me Laura when I say that I know I can trust you. I told you about my fear, didn't I? The only other people that know about that are my father and my aunt."

As she hand him the candies, Mick was at a lost for words. The beans and mars bars were one of his favorites, but he has yet to try chocolate frogs. As quick as a blink of an eye, he kissed her cheek as a thank you. No way did I just do that - I did! He put his hand, the one that was touching Laura's, over his mouth to cover the big smile he had on his face. He suddenly forgot what she had said after being given the candies.

Laura looked at Mick and smiled. "I know it can be hard to open up to new people but it's the best way to make friends you know." Laura suddenly had a good idea. "I'll introduce you to some of my friends if you want." Laura then remember something. "Oh and you'll have to meet my cousin and my sister." Laura was so going to help Mick make loads of new friends.

"I told you about mine too." Laura was hoping that that Mick knew how much she trusted him already. "And you told me your so we both trust each other loads." Laura was about to speak when.

*BLUSH*

Laura could feel herself going red when MICK kissed her, MICK just kissed her, that was awesome. "Mick your so awesome and your so sweet." Laura was hoping Mick would speak to her more and spend more time with her. "I'm glad you like your present." Laura gave Mick a quick kiss back.

At first the idea seemed overwhelming, but then he changed his mind. "I like that idea," Mick stated happily. "I would love to meet your friends - hey, maybe I can introduce you to mine too. I probably don't know as many as people as you." He wanted to make the most of his time at Hogwarts, being like a normal teen. Hanging out with friends and whatnot. He wanted to have fun.

He put his arm around Laura's shoulder, he was so glad that things were going so well between him and her. "Say, when is the next Quiddtich game? If your team is playing, I was thinking of cheering for you at the Huffie-puffle stands."

WHOA! She kissed me again! Mick's lower jaw slightly hung, and then he quickly closed his mouth, feeling that he looked funny. He couldn't believe it. Does this really mean that she likes him? To avoid worry about that, he changed the subject to think about something else. "What's your sister like?" he asked. "I'm an only child."

Laura was glad when Mick said yes he wanted too. "Your the best." Laura couldn't wait to show her friends this awesome guy, she also couldn't wait to see his friends. "This will be the best day ever." Laura was really going to get to know Mick more and all his friends and everything.

Laura suddenly dived into her bag and took out a sheet of paper before screaming. "AAAAAAAAARRRRR!!" Laura had totally forgot. "Were playing soon, and I haven't practiced much." Laura had been ill and then other things had happened and now she had a match and it wasn't far away.

Laura looked at Mick and smiled. "Well she's my twinnie actually, she a Ravenclaw and she is awesome, you might see her sometime in the Ravenclaw Common Room she is called Lana." Laura put everything back in her bag and then looked at Mick, she wanted to know what they were going to do next.

Mick thought that Laura was so cute when she gets excited, he couldn't wait to introduce her to his best guy friend, Ethan. Showing her off to his friends sounded like fun but he really couldn't wait for her to meet his father and Aunt Ana. His mother was a different story, since his parents are A) divorced and B) it's very rare to get like 5 minutes alone with her, even when he's with her. Maybe Mick was thinking too far ahead...Nah, he wasn't ashamed for thinking about his family meeting Laura.

When she screamed, his eyes widened and he jumped back from his spot. Okay...did I say something wrong? Is it because I want to cheer for her from her house stands? "Alright, I'll just cheer from the Ravenclaw stands if you want...Are you okay?"

He waited until he was sure that she had calm down so he can get back to his original spot next to her. Mick's face beamed as he listened to her talk about her sister and then something she said surprised him. "Your sister's a Ravenclaw?!" How could he have missed her if they look alike? He made a mental note to pay attention to his fellow Ravenclaws more often. "Wow, cool. I can't wait to meet her. Do you think she won't mind me?"

Laura looked at Mick and sighed. "I'm sorry if I was freaking you out." Laura hadn't ment too. "I want you to be in the Hufflepuff stand cheering me on." Laura smiled. "It's just I soo totally had forgot there's a Hufflepuff Quidditch match coming up, I've been really busy I almost forgot about it until you reminded me." Laura sighed.

"Yeah my sister is a Ravenclaw." Laura smiled, "She doesn't look like me or anything, well she does but where not identical twins or anything." Laura hoped that Mick would understand what she was saying. "She'll like you so much." Laura squelled in delight. "Your awesome and kind and sweet." Laura suddenly nudged him. "All my friends will like you." Laura suddenly had an idea. "Will your father let you come over to my house at all in the summer?" Laura would love to spend time out of school with him, they could go see a movie or anything.

"It's okay," Mick kindly assured her. "I'm sure you'll do great no matter what. Just don't push yourself too hard, silly." He'll be there for Laura. He'll be there at the Hufflepuff stands, cheering and shouting his lungs out for his friend. Heck, he may even come to the match in Hufflepuff colors. He couldn't wait.

He understood completely, and know he was interested in finding and meeting her sister. Mick smirked at her when she said that her sister will like him, that took away some of the anxiety of meeting a family member of hers. "My father wouldn't mind at all," he said, referring to her question about next summer. One of the last things his father told him before boarding the Hogwarts train was that he should try to socialize with people, instead of hiding from them. Mick believes that he has been do that so far. "I'd love to come over, if you can come over to my place too." Summer please come soon...

Laura was really enjoying this. "I will try and make you proud." Laura was now going to go out and try and have her best game ever, she was hoping that Mick would get to see the best game of his life. "You have to push yourself too hard silly." Laura stuck her tongue out at him. "If you want to be the best." Laura really wanted to be the best.

"I am soo glad." Laura was so going to enjoy this summer now, she could go swimming and she could spend loads of time with Mick, maybe they could go see a great film. "I'm sure my mother will let me." Laura smiled, she couldn't wait to meet Micks family.

"I don't think I've ever asked, what position do you play?" Mick wondered. "No! Wait, I want to guess...Beater? Chaser?" The only way he has been to Quidditch games was through listening to the radio broadcasts, imagining himself in the stands with the cheering people. He loves the sport by would probably suck at actually playing. His broom-riding skills aren't so good.

Just after thinking about his terrible flying abilities, he remembered that he has his camera. Mick turned away from Laura for a second to pull out his camera from his pocket. He turned it on, went through its history and then looked at his friend. "Would you like to meet my aunt and father?...Well, you wouldn't be really meeting them, just seeing them." Laura, coming over to my house...This will be so awesome! Spending summer days and evenings, hanging out. She'd love my video game and movie collection. Calm on the outside, yet excited like a kid at a candy store on the inside.

Laura giggled as Mick decided to guess and smirked when he was trying to guess it, and getting it right. "Mick your awesome at this I've played both Beater and Chaser though I do prefer chaser." Laura loved that position and she was working hard to improve.

Laura listened to Mick and then smiled. "I'd love to see them." Laura smiled and dived into her bag. "Want to see a picture of my family." Laura took two photo's out. "I've got one of just me and my sister and one with all the family." Laura treasured these photo's more than everything else. "This is going to be awesome Mick." Laura gave Mick another hug.

"I'm looking forward to seeing you play!" Mick excitedly exclaimed. It's like living a young boy's dream, going to his first Quidditch game and knowing one of the team players. This kind of excitement was overwhelmingly wonderful and he didn't want it to end. He immediately knew that this game is going to be memorably special.

His lower jaw hung slightly open, making a huge smile, as he gave Laura his camera. Just a few months ago, he had never thought of wanting to introduce his family (or even show off photos of them) to anyone. But it's happening and Mick didn't mind it. The screen revealed three photos of Aunt Ana, his father Travis DeLarge, and his grandfather. "The last one is Grampi," Mick mentions. "He used to teach at Durmstrang Academy, and he also home-schooled me."

Laura looked at Mick and smiled. "They are awesome I hope I can meet them one day." She was sooo hoping that she could meet them in the summer, Mick would let her wouldn't he, well she would beg and beg until he let her because she wanted to meet his family.

Laura took out a couple of photo's and showed Mick them, this is Family there is my sister and my parents on there, she smiled as she looked at them, "this is sooooo cool, I miss my parents when I'm here but at least I have my twinnie to keep me company." Laura smiled as she snuggled upto Mick. "I'll try and wave to you." Laura giggled.
