Dora didn't much travel down to the kitchens on account of how long it took her to get there from her common room, but it was still wet and stuff outside so she decided that explore the castle was the next best thing. And cause she'd been at it for a while she also decided it was time for a treat from the kitchens.

Hands shoved deep into her pockets, she dragged her feet down the corridor, not paying the portraits any mind but counting them down subconsciously til she would reach the one with the ticklish pear.

After a regular day with classes and all, Cassia started wandering around corridors like she always does when bored. She didn't feel like going outside nor like going to the common room. She'll go there eventually before it's time to sleep and it's too early for that. Descending and ascending stairs the girl found herself close to the kitchen level. She wasn't really intending to get here but she wasn't going to turn around so she kept walking. Not that she still gets lost in the castle, nah she was a second year who…didn't get lost. She was just lost in thought.

Glancing at the portraits, Cassia bounced through the corridor until she found a girl standing close to the portrait with the pear. Cassia stepped closer to the girl and looked between the girl and the portrait. Hmmm..Was she going to tickle it or not? The twelve year was proud that she knows what this particular pear does .unlike when she was clueless last year about it. Ehh..history. "I could do it if you want?" Cassia spoke up suddenly. Did the girl get startled? Hopefully not . "You know you just tickle it regularly," she told the girl matter-of-factly. Though the girl seemed about Cassia's age but it was always nice to give instructions. Cassia was enjoying those few moments she did.

The crazy little Amelia was running up and down the hall and giggling like a school girl which she was. She had just finished off ALL of her chocolate stash and wanted more. SHE wanted to learn to make it.

She wanted to be friends with that awesome baby house elf! SHE WANTED TO HUG HIM and play with him and play with them all and have giggle fits with them and feed them chocolate and play chocolate games with them. Like feed the hungry house elf - or feed the crazy Ravenclaw.

Skidding to a halt infront of the pair she reached her arm up and tickled it.

Even though Dora wasn't paying attention to anything, she was acutely aware of EVERYTHING and wasn't startled the least bit by this new girl speaking. She gave her something to focus on besides walking and thinking.

"I know how, but if you wanna then I won't stop you." Just so this girl knew. Dora paused, clasped her hands behind her back, and stared. Waiting. "Well, are you gonna tickle it?"

Nope. No she was NOT, this other girl was.

Her eyes flickered over to her and she shrugged her shoulders. Eyes back to the slytherin. "That girl beat you to it, but if you want, you can still have a go after. We can wait til she closes the portrait." Dora let her eyes flicker back over to the other girl. "Make sure you close that thing tight behind you." Pause. "Please." Yup.

Just when Cassia was stretched her arm out to tickle the pear because she knew how another girl popped out of no where! Cassia didn't literally jump but she made a move that indicated she was not expecting another person to appear just like that. "You know people usually make a sound before appearing suddenly," She nodded at the girl who tickled the pear, "Not because I you startled me or anything," Cassia waved with her hand dismissing the thought, "You need so much to startle a Snake of course." Talk about house pride.

Then back at the girl, "Oh I have tickled it enough times," Cassia shrugged."Unless, you know you want to," Maybe the girl wanted to and was claiming Cassia as a reason or something tricky if that even made sense. Ravenclaws do those kind of things, plotting and such .Cassia considered the situation and spoke up again, "But don't you think we'll bother the pear?" Cassia asked seriously. "You know making it turn into a door knob two times in a row." Cassia just tends to care about pears' feelings. "If you insist to see how I tickle the pear no problem we'll give the pear a rest then I'll do it." Might as well fiegn smartness before a real smart topic is brought up and then Cassia would just have a blank stare on.

Oh yeah, he was HAPPY! He'd just drawn his plate and cup and Nell said it wasn't too bad, so YAY HIM. Grinning, Edmund paused to look at the colourful pictures on the walls.

As Sutton climbed out of the Common Room, she saw a familiar face in the hall. Sutton couldn't help but smile as she looked at Edmund's face. He looked really happy, and his adorable grin was infectious. Waving at him from her place in the hallway, she said, "Well, if it isn't my knight in shining armor, himself!"

Beaming as he turned to the familiar voice, Ed spread his arms happily, inviting her into a hug. HAPPY HUG! "All I did was get you down from a tree, I'm sure your knight will do something much better." He winked at Sutton happily.

Admittedly, Sutton hadn't expected such a warm and familiar welcome, but she wasn't going to complain. Despite the sudden feeling of shyness creeping back into the front of her mind, she walked into his open arms and hugged him back until he deemed it time to let her go.

The hug gave her a warm!fuzzy feeling, and Sutton suddenly realized that it was the first hug she had gotten since before she left for Hogwarts. It was sad to think about, but she tried to push it from her mind. She let out an adorable, small laugh at his comment about her knight in shining armor... but more because of the wink he gave her. "What could be better than saving my life?" she said, looking up at him with a smile. "Hey, speaking of that! Did you ever found out who the boy was on the broom?"

Because Sutton really wanted her revenge.

He hugged her for what felt like forever until he realised she wasn't going to let go. Grinning, he let her go and looked down at her with bright eyes. She was so cute! "I don't think I saved your life, more like saved whichever bone you would have broken otherwise." He was sure she would have ended up in the hospital wing if he hadn't caught her.

He shook his head at her next question. "Nope, whoever he was, he can hide." Was it bad that he was impressed? As a fellow prankster, Ed really did appreciate the fact that this guy had managed to keep his anonymity. For now.

Sutton simply rolled her eyes. A broken bone to her seemed like the end of the world. She may not have ever broken bone before, but it certainly sounded like it would be EXTREMELY painful. Besides, she knew Edmund was just being modest. Not everyone could have caught a 13 year old girl falling from a tree, and he did it with it out stumbling even a little. If this had been a Muggle school, Sutton would have thought he must play a lot of sports, but she wasn't exactly sure what muscley wizard teenage boys did.

Hmm... he didn't know. She thought for sure he would have figured it out since he was older and probably knew A LOT more people. "Well, if you figure it out, I want to know. So you have to tell me, okay? Promise?" she said, trying to decide if he wanted to let him in on her plan. On one hand, she figured she owed him seeing as how he had rescued her, but on the other hand, she didn't know if Edmund would be a good prank buddy or not. She supposed to she still had time to decide.

Her eye rolling was funny. Or was it just funny that he found it funny? Either way, he had to suppress a chuckle. She was too cute. But it surprised him that she was rolling her eyes at his correction. Did she really believe he'd saved her life?

"Of course. I promise." He gave her his word, though he knew he probably wouldn't find out. He still didn't know too many people, but he was trying to get to know them. Maybe Isaac would know. Making a mental note to ask him, Ed grinned at her once more. "So, where were you headed?" She'd left the common room for a reason, right?

Where had she been heading? Oh, well, that was a good question. "I wasn't really going anywhere in particular... just going for a walk," she responded. "I do that a lot in my free time..." because she rarely found other people or things to spend her time on. "I'm still trying to find my way around, and it helps," she explained. That made her sound a little less lame, right?

"What are you up to? she asked, trying to get the subject off of her for a little bit. Sutton sometimes got tired of talking about herself...

"Ah." He was interested now. "Where do you like to walk?" Everyone had a favourite place, right? "Oh, me too. I've been exploring for days and I'm STILL getting lost." He didn't care if he sounded like a firstie. In so many ways, he was.

"Well, just heading back from dinner. I was...Hmm. I don't even know what I was going to do." At least he was honest, right?

Sutton shrugged and considered her favorite places on campus so far. "Well, I usually walk out on the grounds. There are lots of neat places out there, especially with fall coming and the trees changing... it reminds me of home," she told him as she started walking down the hall. He wasn't doing anything, so that meant he wanted to come, too, right? Incase he needed some encouragement, she gestured for him to follow her. "Well, come on then!" she said to him with a laugh.

As he explained that he still get lost, too, Sutton gave him a confused look. "You STILL get lost? What year are you?" she asked.

Ah. The grounds. They were pretty amazing if he said so himself. He especially loved the fruit orchard, it felt so natural. Nodding in agreement with her, he gazed up at the pictures once more, but turned when he heard her telling him to go with her. "Yeah, sorry." He ran to catch up with her.

"Uh, seventh..? But I only started here this year." That would explain it, right? Yup. 'Cause the newbie ALWAYS got lost.

Sutton sighed in relief as he explained it was his first year, that made her feel a lot better. For a moment, she was afraid she would always be lost. "It's my first year, too..." Sutton said, as if that needed any explanation. She got lost, was terrible at magic, and had no close friends yet, soooo she imagined it was probably pretty obvious to the outside world. She liked this Edmund kid. He was nice! ...in addition to other favorable features. Anyone who was willing to keep her company on a walk was pretty good in her books, though. "So, where to, my good sir?" she asked, smiling up at him as they walked.

Her relieved sigh earned her a questioning look until she explained. "Ah! Great! At least we know we're not the only ones." He'd be pretty downtrodden if he found out he was the only one who got lost 'cause that'd mean his sense of direction just sucked. Pulling a face as he tried to think of where he'd been, he looked down at the floor. "I have absolutely no idea. I've only explored a couple of floors and part of the grounds." He shrugged, looking up at her smile and returning it. "You know any good places?"

Dora didn't say anything cause it was rude, but she totally did notice the snake being all jumpy when the other Ravenclaw approached. She noticed her of course, but apparently this other girl wasn't all that observant. "You didn't make much of a sound." She noted. Just sayin.

"I don't care," Dora shrugged and swayed innocently. She wasn't plotting or anything but she was curious about this girls thought process. Bother the pear? Her brow furrowed. "How can we? It's not a real pear and even if it was, pears don't have feelings." She informed her mater-of-factly, "It's like.. his job to open for us whenever we want, and we want it opened twice, but I don't mind waiting." It was totally weird to be waiting to tickle the pear just to be considerate of it's not existing feelings, but this girl seemed nice so Dora would wait with her.

She tugged on one of her braids while they waited and mentally kept track of time so they wouldn't wait TOO long. "I'm Dora, what's your name?"

See the girl really didn’t make a sound, though the other Ravvie hadn't seemed to be startled by the sudden appearance of her house-mate. Could it be that Rvvies sensed each other? Well,, that could be cool and if it was true then Slytherins would be able to as well. Cassia made a mental note of experimenting this method it could come in handy. But just to be sure Cassia asked, "Did you know she was coming?"

Considering what the girl said Cassia stroked her chin, "True it isn't a real pear it's a magical one." She said. "I just thought that maybe the spell casted on this pear needed time or something. " Like that made sense but the Snake wasn't really someone to talk about spells and such stuff. She doesn't really happen to be a very bright student though she tries to be……in vain.

And Cassia really felt like it wasn't safe talking about stuff she didn't know much of so she better change the subject in order not to look stupid. Considering this hadn't happened already. Cassia crossed her arms over her chest and started to rock on the ball of her feet if they're going to wait might as well pass the time.

"Nice to meet you Dora," The second-year grinned. Good her name was short and easy to remember. "I'm Cassia ," She answered.
"What year are you ? I'm a second year" Dora looked by Cassia's age thought Cassia didn't want to make any guesses. Whenever she did she ended up hurting someone's feelings by telling them they were older or younger. Though, Cassia never meant to bother anyone.

"Do you usually come here? To the kitchen I mean." Not the corridor of course as people come to the corridor in order to get into the kitchen ,right?

Sutton thought about it for a moment, trying to decide a good place to go for a walk on this beautiful October day. They could go to the lake, but it was usually kind of crowded, and after the last time at the orchard, Sutton hadn't felt like venturing there again. "Hmm... how about we just go walk around the pathways on the ground and see where we end up?" she suggested as they reached the end of the hall.

"The giggling tipped me off," She shrugged. The other girl totally wasn't trying to sneak up on them, and if so she faaaaaaaaaailed.

The pear needed time before it could open again? Hm. Dora turned her gaze to the portrait and considered it for a moment. DID it need time before opening? "I dunno? Maybe we should try. See how fast it can swing back open or if it needs a minute. I doubt it won't swing back open immediately if it's a good spell, but we sure could try." So long as it didn't forbid them from the kitchen or something she was game.

"Yeah, you too, Cassia." She grinned though it probably wasn't nearly as wide as Cassia. This girl looked to be one of those Slytherins that could pass for a Hufflepuff if she wanted with all that niceness in her. "Second year, yup. And I don't come here much cause it's such a long walk from the towers, but its all wet outside so I wanted to do some exploring." She'd finish studying and every other possible task that could be done in the common room, that too. "But you pass by here all the time, right? Cause your a snake and gotta get through here to reach the rest of the castle."

Swing back open? Good spell....Well, Dora just proved being a Ravenclaw. It's in times like that in which Cassia feels like she need to think more academically considering you know they were in a school....to learn not only to have fun and talk. Well, she's still a second year what's the rush for. "I guess we could experiment it." Cassia nodded. Though she wanted to tell Dora that she won't be deducing any conclusions. You know that's what Ravvies are for ,right?

Nice, a fellow second year. Year-mates are always welcome as Cassia had decided to stick to those or younger students. Because older students can be bossy and annoying. Cassia wondered if she would be like that once she got older. Hopefully not.

"Yeah I guess it is a long walk," Cassia agreed. And that's also why Cassia rarely makes the trip there to the Towers unless there was a lesson. Snake ,Cassia smile proudly, "I am a snake," Well Dora wasn't talking about this, "Erm..I mean I do pass here all the time," She added. Talk about house pride. "But I don't always come into the kitchen every time I pass." Because even the nice polite house elves would get bored and might snap at her. Though she hoped to see that happening for a change.

See being a snake comes with so many advantages passing by the kitchen is one of them. And there are others of course but Cassia wasn't in the mood to recall things now. It needed effort, mental effort.Meh.

Cassia stepped a step closer to the portrait. "Ok time to do some experimenting ," The twelve-years old said dramatically. She stretched her arm out reaching for the pear and tickled it!

"Yeah, me either." Come to the kitchens often she meant. "The elves are always so eager to serve. It's nice and all, but I like helping myself." And she still wasn't used to SO MANY elves being around at once, there were only two back at her grandmothers.

Dora watched her step closer to the portrait and then turned her hazel eyes to the pear. Almost instantly the thing swung open after the initial tickling. "Hurry and close it!" They had to try again! She reached forward quickly, practically slamming it in the face of some random house elf. "Sorry elf! Try again, before too much time passes."
