Alexa looked at DJ, "Yes I learned many different spells with my instructor last year. Many that are boring and for everyday use though." she then smiled and got closer to him, close enough that most people would feel their personal space was being violated, but to Alexa this didn't seem to be a problem nor did she seem aware that others might. "I did learn one spell that might be interesting being used on someone. It was a pimple jinx. If you cast it on someone it will give the person pimples." she smiled and then backed away from him just a bit.
He listened as she talked about the spells she knew "Thats cool! At least you know some spells no matter what they are like" he smiled as he wished that he too knew some spells no matter how boring they were. He then watched as she surprised him by getting closer to him.. what was she doing? oh boy.. she.. she did know they were just friends right?.. plus he didn't want a girlfriend anyways.. they were bad news! He had seen boyfriends and girlfriends being all gooey and yucky with each other.. that wasn't for him.. no sir!! He was never going to have a girlfriend ever!! But his ear picked up something interesting..
He listened as she continued and he too moved a little closer since she had some very interesting information. He smiled as she informed him "I like the sound of that spell.. you have gotta teach me that one." though it would be a little tough doing that spell in front of the professors, prefects, captains etc.. "You know any others like that?" he asked.. he was liking this girl already, her being a little older was good for him. She could teach him some of the spells that she knew, well he knew where to come if he wanted some cool spells.. thats if she knew anymore.

It was such an amazing castle.
Alex was getting tired of sitting still and growing hungrier by the minute. She decided to visit other tables since there were friends she hadn't seen yet. Arriving at the Hufflepuff table, she saw one of her compartment-mates from the train. Alex walked over to her seat.
"Hi Sophie, you made it". Alex was glad to see that the first year had arrived safely. "What do you think of Hogwart so far? I know it can be a bit overwhelming ar first." Sophie had that typical first year look of awe and amazement on her face. Have you seen Kate yet?". Alex was a little concerned about her other new friend from the train.
"Yes. But you can grow weak .. and get lazy and not have energy to get through your days," he preached - filling her goblet with more juice.
He smiled wide when she took a bite, finally. "No .. Thank you" he said, munching on his own food. Lord, he was feeling .. heavy already .. he would be needing sleep sooon.
"Excited for the year, then?"
Hmm, he was right. For a Hufflepuff Nathan sure debated like a Ravenclaw. Not that Delphi would really know that for sure, she had only been attending Hogwarts for a year now. It was really just a guess. She assumed Ravenclaws were good at debating, being so clever and all. "Okay," Okay, she wouldn't argue. Delphinia would eat, but not too much for her tummy. Hopefully it would be enough to satisfy him.
Picking at her roll, Delphi took another bite and set it on her plate, taking her fork instead to poke at her chicken. A silly little smile was offered in response to Nathan, taking a bite of her food as he ate, too.
And then he had to ask. Was she excited for the new school year? After all they had just went through? Laughter. Quiet, but still laughter. That's what came, followed by her hand over her mouth until she managed to swallow what remained in her mouth, already chewed, without choking herself. "Oh yes, I'm so excited I can't stand it." Green eyes on his, Delphinia shook her head, a brilliant smile on her face. "How about you?"

Lex nodded with a wide smile when Emm said the hat would taste good. "Yup, I'm sure it will, especially since I plan to dip it in a cauldron of gravy and let it swim around for a little, you know, just to teach it a lesson then I'm really gonna show it why it shouldn't have gone against what I said." Ahhh, one way or another the hat would learn.
"Hmm...really? That's too bad. You should meet them, they're really nice!" Well...er...one of them was really nice. That had to count for something right? She made a face at her for saying that the boats would have been the best place for them. That may have been true but she still wouldn't agree because on the journey over she hadn't seen the giant squid and she hadn't seen any mermaids so she might as well had stayed and helped out. "Yeah, other people are saying that too but I don't think I could have gotten hurt any worse." She said, gesturing to her wrist that had started changing colour--but only slightly and there was nothing wrong with it she wouldn't have to go see the healer!
She beamed up at her suddenly. "It was nice of you to stay behind and help. I heard that some older kids were trying to walk away." Yet another reason to not like older kids, ugh.
Oh yes the feast! "Ummmm I don't know what Ill eat just yet but i know I wanna try everything." She smiled at the thought of having all the yummy food but couldn't ignore the slight feeling of nausea that came with it. It must have been from all the candy....
.
Em nodded. She really had no idea who these people that she should meet were, but “yeah, sure.” Though, she wasn’t making any promises, and wasn’t planning on going out of her way. Especially not if they were a lot younger. The puff caught the look Lexa gave her about the boats comment. It not only kept them out of harm’s way, and meant that they didn’t have to see all of what went on. Plus, it cleared out the platform so it was easier to take care of those in need. “Any worse?” The girl asked as she looked at the lion. Oh, that didn’t look good. “How did that happen?” she asked before adding, “has anyone taken a look at that?”
Em gave the girl a smile. “Its true, a lot of them just left. Pretty much all of the student leaders disappeared.” Sure, she understood that some people have aversions to blood and stuff, and maybe some of them couldn’t help because they didn’t know spells of have bandages or anything. But the older students should have been more helpful. They should have been helping to organize the group, escorting kids to the carriages, and even to the castle, not just leaving without a second thought to the others.
Yes, this girl wouldn’t go hungry. If she tried one of everything, she would be there for a month.
"Toddles is still under here Mr. Pips and Miss Beezley, he sure is! Toddles is being a good elf!" The baby elf continued to march underneath the large PINK plant, absolutely NOTHING was going to distract him...
OOOOH! Bad kiddies and a man with a scratchy beard thing on his face; Toddles had always wanted one of those. Siiigh. "Look, LOOOK! Those kiddies are getting yelled at just like Toddles was, yes'um!" It wasn't everyday he saw that, this trip was getting more and more fun.
Back at the table of the green studentsies, Beezley heard Toddles going on about studentsies getting yelled at the same way Toddles did. Yes, Toddles gets yelled at so, so much, but that wasn't important now. "We must bring the plant to Mistress Truebridge," Beezley said. "Elfsies waste too much time." She felt the plant shift a little, giving her a mouth full of not so tasty green leafsies. "Toddles needs to see to plant only. No looking at studentsies now, Toddles." Then just to keep her on task, Beezley shifted the whole group, plant and all, toward a new table.

Ella nodded. So he was alright? That meant he hadn't gotten hurt on the train or anything. This was good, yeah? It should make Ella feel happier? Only...it didn't. Not really. "Good. Alright is ...good." And that was the most awkward response...ever. As for how she was? Ella didn't exactly know how to respond. She knew she couldn't lie, though. That much was still the same. "I've been better." Truth. "I just spent a lot of time at home with Dad, Caleb, and Gran...playing with Dino and um...getting ready for the term." Mentally preparing and all that. Shrug. "You um...you glad to be back?"[/QUOTE]
Harvey smiled a little as she said that it was good "Yeah I er.. guess it is" he said nodding a little.. feeling a little awkward, he would try his best to make the awkwardness go away.. well he hoped that he could. He then listened as she answered how she was.. she .. she had been better? yeah.. they both had been better.. well at least she hadn't resorted to being untruthful no matter how bitter the truth was "Thats good that you did, that must have been good spending time with them. How are they all?" he asked her. Yeah she was right.. getting ready for the new term was needed.. attending classes needed preparation.. so that was good. Was he glad to be back.. he looked up and down the puff table.. still no Justin.. then he looked at her.. and nodded "Yeah.. I kind of am.. too much free time on my hands without the classes.. You?" he questioned her.. wondering what he response must be. He assumed she must be glad.. to see all her friends again.. ones that she may not have met over the summer and new puffs that would be joining today that she would meet.
It seemed they were learning a lot about each other- either that or they just had a talent for finding one another's sore subjects. And that didn't bode well. As Will regarded her, she gave him a steely look, as if she sensed that he wanted to delve more into her history. She was mad enough at her parents, but her brother was off limits. At least until she knew him better and even then... "Thanks," she said, relaxing as he closed the door on their tense conversation.
"Well, I can't say that I have a full passion for it- there are days where it's the last thing I'd like to do," she said with a soft chuckle. Often she had to force herself to her studies, especially when it was a really nice day to kick a ball around, or if she had gotten new paint. She listened quietly as he talked about his former school. "That would make sense- dark arts tend to flock there, don't they?" she said thoughtfully. "True- but each has a different environment so their viewpoint is correct based on what's needed," she pointed out.
Will could tell that Emilia was watching to see if he pushed the subject anymore. There was part of him that wanted to bring it up just to spite her but he quickly decided against it. Instead he returned her steely look and held her gaze for a minute. They both had very dominant personalities and he couldn't tell if that would lead to a friendship or a major personality clash. Finally after she relaxed he dropped it as well. He had only known this girl since the beginning of the feast and she was already exhausting him. Women.
"Well you are definitely more into your studdies than I am." It only takes a small suggestion to get Will to completely disregard whatever course had been previously on his mind. As she commented about dark arts tending to flock towards that part of the continent and nodded his head. "Without a doubt" he told her almost getting lost in his own thoughts. That had often been an issue in his parents marriage, how people from the area were more consumed with the dark arts than people from others. With an English father and a Bulgarian mother it made for more than an interesting household.

Yes, Toddles gets yelled at so, so much, but that wasn't important now. "We must bring the plant to Mistress Truebridge," Beezley said. "Elfsies waste too much time." Then just to keep her on task, Beezley shifted the whole group, plant and all, toward a new table.
Yellow studentsies now.
The yellow kids. Toddles rememebered last welcome back home studensies feast that these yellow ones weren't very good at playing catch. Bad, bad bad.
But Toddles wasn't allowed to LOOK at the kiddies, nope. Beezley said so and when Nimma wasn't there, Toddles pretended Beezley was Nimma. "Okie dokie Beezley, Mr. Leafy is all Toddles will think about."

"Elvsies must get to Headmistress with Red Hair quickly if they want to deliver pink plant on time. Elvsies must iron their ears extra hard tonight," Pips clarified. "BEEZLEY! Pips thinks Beezley must not chew the Headmistress with Red Hair's plant!" The little house elf squealed and pulled the leaves out of his fellow elfsie's mouth, quickly drying his hands on his pillowcase apron. "Mistress Red Hair will not be happy if the elvsies eat her plant, Pips thinks." It could be POISONOUS. It was a scary plant, so it could VERY poisonous.
They paraded through some more students, and Pips apologized profusely. "Mistress, Master Studentsie, elvsies is sorry for the trouble. We is just delivering big scary plant to Headmistress with Red Hair, we is. Elvsies is ironing their ears later for disturbing studentsies dinner, they is. Toddles is ironing Pips' ears, he is."

Awarlesta eyes shifted from the Headmistress to a smaller creature. It was a house elf! She's only seen one other house elf and it was at her grandparent's. He wasn't so friendly though, especially not with Awar. This one looked rather adorable though. "Hi there!" She poked the elf gently.

Ella looked up when she heard her name, wondering who could be calling out to her. She smiled a small smile when she saw a familiar older badger coming over. Annabelle! They had worked together in class, yeah? And Oh! She was the new prefect. "Hi!" She greeted as cheerfully as she could manage, waving at the older girl. "Congrats on the badge." She added, motioning her hand towards it. That was quite an exciting thing, yeah? Being asked to be prefect? Ells wondered if she would ever be good enough to be considered one day.

Did he have to smile like that?...And act like things were exactly the same? It frustrated Ella a bit, though she knew all of this was her own fault for opening her big mouth. WHY did she do that, again? StupidInabilitiyToLie. "It was good. I mean we had fun just hanging out together." The blonde answered, playing with her fork to give her hands something to do. "They're good. Dad was a bit sad to see me go but I promised I'd owl...more than last term." And she had pinky promised this time, so she had to keep it. "And your family...they're good?" Y'know, since they were on the topic and all. Ella then followed his gaze, wondering who Harvey might be looking for. Probably Justin or Minnie, she guessed. Her eyebrows raised a bit when he said he 'kind of' was glad to be back, not having expected that. "I'm...well I don't know yet, actually." And the fact that she didn't know how she felt made her a bit annoyed. Feelings were stupid. How come you could feel so many at once?

After talking with Sophie, Alex spotted Ella nearby with some friends. She had really enjoyed talking with her last year at "Beauty and the Beast". Alex decided to say hello and headed in Ella's direction when she saw a break in the conversation.
"Hi Ella", she said. "How was your summer? I am really glad to be back at school.". It was true. Alex hadn't realized how much she had missed Hogwarts until she was back on the grounds. While she always enjoyed seeing her family, she was very happy at her second home.

"Well, it wasn't really your personal dating life that was my concern anyway, Louisa. Why won't you go out with Vee? He's a good looking guy and smart. You could use a man like him," Elijah grinned, patting his best friend on the back. "If I was a chick I totally would. You don't want to pass off this stud, Louisa. Truuusttt me." If modeling failed, perhaps sales of some kind would be a profession Elijah could see himself in.
And then there he was. Come to ruin Elijah's life once more. Surely the Huffer could have accepted his removal from their verbal war as some kind of unexpected forfeit? But, no. He wanted to continue blabberrrrinnggg on at him. When the young boy challenged him to a duel, Elijah couldn't help but snort. He'd been too busy laughing to himself to respond straight away, which had given Vickers and Louisa the opportunity to inform Oakey of all the borrrringgg rules.
"Yeah, what they said, chump. Besides, I can't trust that you won't cheat like you did last time and I'm a sixth year now. I can't be playing with little boys who don't know when to shut their trap."
Elijah decided to completely ignore Louisa's invite to Oakey to get his rant on and instead demanded, "Why did you drag me all the way over here again? A lecture? About WHAT!? Classes aren't until tomorrow, Louisa! Not all of us are 'Claws and like to torture ourselves with like... learning and stuff!"
Maybe it was best Vickers didn't go on a date with her. Elijah didn't know if he could cope with hanging around such a studious, man-handling female.
Oakey's face was turning a bright red from anger, He knew the rules of a duel, Vickers and Louisa just had to go all Ravenclaw on him and describe them anyways. He knew the rules! He just wanted to here Elijah accept it so he could bring it up to a Staff to officiate, just not there Head of House. Hadley wouldn't be to pleased to hear two of her Puffers wanted to duel each other to settle a year old dispute.
He took a step back as Dodo Face gave him the answer that he didn't want to hear. "I'm not little anymore! I practically reach your nose!". Oakey had half a mind to just flip his wand out and hex Elijah back Hogsmeade Platform. The other half listened to Louisa. "Well, I was going for one of my wa..."
...Did Elijah just interrupt him mid-rant!
This took Oakey above and beyond action! Instead he skipped right to revenge. The gears in his head began to turn, "I'll tell you later Louisa. That's right Oakey just figured out a way to make Elijah duel him.
He turned around and sat back down at his seat beside Laura who had began to sing, he just closed his eyes and listened to her...headache inducing vocals. At least it was better than than Elijah's baboon screeches.

Yes this girl was definitely going to make his term quite interesting if they continued on like this. There was no doubt about that.
He listened as she recalled what he had said earlier abour Ravenclaw. "Ah using my own words to prove me wrong." He said to her with a grin. "Nice play" He added. So she was witty too, perhaps she should have been placed in Ravenclaw after all. As she asked what kind of activites he enjoy he answered, "I enjoy sports as well. I am particularly partial to sword play and archery" He told her. "I'm not much of one for quidditch. I enjoy watching but not playing" He added. Now it as his turn to ask the question. "And you, what sports do you enjoy?"

They should have been helping to organize the group, escorting kids to the carriages, and even to the castle, not just leaving without a second thought to the others.
Yes, this girl wouldn’t go hungry. If she tried one of everything, she would be there for a month.
Walking in and slipping in to seat next to Em Mikey grabs a bowl of stew and some rolls " Em what happened I went to the bathroom on the train It stoped ,I could not get the door to open and when it did I was being told to touch a port key, then i couldnt find you in Hogsmead,So I got Bubba settled and now it looks like I missed the sorting" dipping the roll in the Stew and rolling his eyes " Man have I miss the food,I never have a good time arriving to this school but the food is allways a bright spot " looking to the girl Em was talking too ,trying to rember if it was the girl on the train, and nodding toward her " She a new Huff" Taking a small gold flask out and taking a sip and looking up toward the teacher table to see who was sitting cort

The smile on Lex's face grew wider at his question. Yeah, I already plan to do that so if you want you can join me! The more the merrier." The idea had sounded grand from the very beginning and now that she knew that someone else was thinking it too she knew it had to be a good idea!

Lex averted her gaze when she was asked about her arm. She has been doing such a nice job of hiding it all day and she didn't want people to start taking notice of it now.
It's nothing really, landed badly on it at the platform but I think it's fine...DON'T TELL ME TO GO TO THE HEALER! Yeah she had to put emphasis on that part, just incase Emm got any ideas after reading the first part. There would be no going to the Healer for her; not now, not tomorrow and not even a week from now. Nope.
Aha! So the older kids really were just little snakes! Leaving behind the others so they could take care of themselves!! Didn't anyone tell them to help?! You all didn't let them get away did you?! If they had then that would have been terrible because then they would have thought they could do whatever they wanted because they were older.
She turned her attention to the food again. She was getting even hungrier but the woman seemed to enjoy the sound of her own voice too much to want to stop talking. Sigh.

Feeling William's eyes on her, she glanced up and shot him a small, but slightly playful smile. She kind-of liked this banter, even though he was partially driving her crazy.
Emilia tried to smother a smile, she really did, but her lips managed to show small signs of it. "Just trying to show off what you taught me," she said with a soft laugh. Her eyebrows rose slightly as he named his preference for sports. It was a strange... coincidence. "For the most part I always played soccer- or what you guys call football," she said. "But I dabbled in a few other muggle sports, as well as a bit of Quidditch- but never on the teams. However..." she was skeptical whether she should tell him this or not. "I also like archery and sword fighting... and horseback riding," she said, giving him a strange look. It was just... weird.

He smiled a little as she talked about her summer with the family "Thats good.. yeah I guess it is fun to hang out with family. All the fun stuff that can happen with them" well he hoped there were fun stuff.. but it was good to hope.. right? he nodded "Yeah they are good.. the younger ones are probably glad that I won't be there to tell them off anymore" he chuckled as he imagined them sighing with relief that the big brother wasn't around now.. he saw those eyebrows raise up.. well that was never good was it? nope! what was she thinking now? "Well I am sure that once classes and stuff start then you will know" especially with quidditch and how much she loved it. Maybe that will make her glad that she is back, quidditch training and the matches.. all waiting for them.

Will let out a laugh as she mentioned that she had learned it from him. He didn't really have anymore to say on it. Well actually he could think of quite a few things to say, but those would probably make her mad.
As she began talking about sports he nodded his head. "You sound like quite the athletic person" he said with a smile. It seemed to him that she played quite a few things. But then she also mentioned that she liked sword play and archery. With that all he could do was stare. There weren't many other people around here that shared those hobbies. The thought quickly entered his head that she may just be trying to impress him, but then he decided that she wasn't the type to do that. "You're kidding?" He asked her letting a half smile creep across his lips. "Once again Emilia you have impressed me" He added.
Annabelle made her way over to Ella to give her a hug . As Ella mentioned the badge, Belle blushed a little , "Oh the badge and thank you very much." she said with a prideful smile. "How excited are you for this year?" Belle asked curiously. "I hope you had a good summer."

Emilia... liked his laugh. It was the first true happiness she had seen from him. However, she didn't comment on the matter and moved on to the next subject.
She shrugged and gave a smile. She tried her best at everything. Sports were a little easier than academics, which is why she participated in so many. Her interest in more medieval forms of sport came from her love of fantasy books, and she had started training at a very young age. She shifted under his stare, it was making her uncomfortable. "Nope," and that was all she could say. "Shush, you don't even know if I'm any good," she said, feeling awkward now. "I could have just picked up a sword or a bow two weeks ago," she said, turning away from him slightly and crossing her arms.
