Did he mean today, or however long as in.. however long to infinity? Delphinia was curious, but didn't ask. She'd want to keep him forever. He was her best friend, after all. Her only real friend.

"Oh," Oh. He just wanted to hurry up and get to the Three Broomsticks, and get butterbeer. For her. He was just caring about her well being. That wasn't unusual at all, but for some reason his answer surprised her. As warmth spread over her face, filling her cheeks with a brighter shade between red and pink for reasons she couldn't even identify herself at the moment, Delphi silently thanked Merlin and his soggy old beard that her cheeks were already flushed from the cold, and maybe could pass for that alone still.

"Mm, so what do you have picked out so far?" Delphi asked carefully, swinging Nathan's hand a tinsy bit and tried to point her index finger toward the menu, despite the fact she did have one hand free. "I think we'll need a basket."

Elliot didn't much FEEL like being in here. All the candy...well...yuck. Her pockets were full of...money. Dani had put in a request and so had Sam. And did babies eat candy? She wondered what a one year old...liked. Hmph.

She didn't care much about her brother anyways.

She glanced at her watch and sighed...Maxwell would be along any time now...so she just decided to scour the walls for some chocolate that she hadn't bought before. Meh.

OH!

Her father wanted something, too! She took out his most recent letter and squinted at his rough handwriting...what did THAT say?! Ugh. It may have said...clusters? Well. She knew her father never asked for sweets...so..this was so weird. And his letter wasn't even mean. Just..normal. It was weird. She sighed as she glanced at the sign at the front of the store...right...

Minerva had left the broomsticks after socializing with everyone. She was on a mission now. She had to, being looked out of your common room when you didn't have your supplies was a horrible horrible thing. She had enough candy to last her all term in her trunk, but she couldn't get them, so here she was. Looking around she smiled at the sight of it all. Of course her first stop was to the chocolate frogs. Once she got over there she realized she needed a basket and walked back to get a basket.

Walking back to the frogs she threw some in her basket, then decided to take a few more. She wasn't going to short change herself if she wasn't getting into the common room the rest of term. Looking around she made her way toward her second favorite place.. Fudge...

Candy. Kids liked candy, right? And where there was candy there was sure to be kids and kids that had had too much candy had sugar rushes where they talked and talked and talked and, well, it really was a win-win situation for a man such as Basil.

Poking open the door to Honeydukes with his shoe - those door handles were so unsanitary...no telling who or WHAT had touched them last - he stepped inside and waved his wand over his orange backpack to summon his favorite Quick-Quotes Quill.

Now...where were all the hyper kids? He had heard rumors about things happening at Hogwarts...but he wanted details. Hard facts. Not just speculation. He wasn't writing a gossip column here.

These Hogsmeade trips, while rare for the students, were even rarer for the defense professor. She'd only been here once? Twice? Whatever the case, Medea somehow found herself in Honeydukes, casually browsing the selection. Far off from her original destination of Scrivenshafts and not quite big on sweets, but there were few occasions she liked them. Toffee? Sugar quills?

Most of the trouble came from choosing from such a large selection. As well as keeping out of the way of excited students and...

Other people. Locals perhaps.

Quill floating close by, Basil made his way through the shelves looking for some child that looked as though they were about to bounce off the walls and spill all their secrets like Bertie Botts all over the floor...but it didn't seem to be that way at the moment. Maybe Hogwarts kids weren't what they used to be?

The former Hufflepuff turned the corner and saw a woman browsing the selection and sort of meandered over, positioning himself in her line of vision but not saying anything just yet.

Juuuuuuuuuust observing here...

One definitely felt like a little kid again when walking into a sweet shop. Weighing the options was almost just as hard to do nowadays. Sweet or salty? Chocolate or toffee? Chewy or crunchy? Would she feel like still having the same candy later after she bought it? Then again, she could always give Sophia an apology gift if she didn't want it later...

Before her thoughts could delve any deeper into unneeded revenge, a head of hair blocked her vision of the selection of sweets. The exact height to do so, how nice. One of the locals, she assumed. Rather rude of them to stand right in front of her. No matter though!

A step to the side and all was well.

Basil had oh-so-conveniently positioned himself right in front of the woman - a tactic that usually worked to draw attention and at least elicit an 'excuse me' from the other person so that they were the ones that started the conversation. Always made the opposite person feel like they were the one in control since they had made first contact. Perfect for the nosy buzzing reporter who needed to dig up some dirt.

Only that didn't happen...OH! Sugar quills! He could actually use some of tho---wait, right, back on task.

Noticing her move to the side out of the corner of his eye, Basil matched her step and once again positioned himself riiiiiiiiiight in front of her. Totally on accident, of course.

Or not.

A frown formed on her face. Come on now. Was this youngster for real?

Fiddling with her gloves, she leaned juuuuust a little to the side, spying the sugar quills. A few would hold her over until summer. Who couldn't deny licorice wands though? She told herself just one candy before she even walked into the shop and that was it. That would be it!

She took a step back to where she originally stood, pondering the two.

Deciding to snatch up a few sugar quills in the end, Basil held on to them while he waited for the woman behind him to at least clear her throat or something...but she didn't. Instead she moved BACK to the spot she had been in before. Fine then, he would just take control of the situation and break verbal silence. He could still work the proper angles with this.

Stepping BACK in front of the woman, Basil turned around this time and face the women and looked up just a bit. "If you wanted to dance you should have just asked," he grinned, laying on the boyish charm rather thick. Well, as much as a 37 38-year-old could.

Ella entered Honeydukes with a small smile on her face, eager to restock her candy supply. She was running quite low and this freaked her out a bit. Running out of candy was simply not an option. It just wasn't.

The third year began walking along the aisles in the shop, eyeing the different types of candies with a grin on her face. There was just SO much to choose from, how was she meant to decide? She really did need a second opinion. Mhm.

Maxwell walked into the shop and saw Elliot, not exactly watching the door, she was reading a letter, from her family? He wondered if this one wasn't awful...Elliot didn't seem to be in a bad mood.

He was as quiet as can be, he was light on his feet. Thank you years of fencing..He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, yes he was aware she would dislike such a public display of affection but no, he didn't care. "Hey, babe...you look lovely as always.." He said through a crooked grin, patiently awaiting a response.

This time, as the person stepped in front of her, Medea sighed and looked down, starting to take off her gloves. It was only when they spoke did she look up before her task was finished. Oh, not a youngster. The idea that she thought so before almost made her cheeks turn a rosey red.

Instead, her eyebrows raised as she leaned around him to take a few sugar quills. "So says the man who begun it." she replied, smiling little. His purposeful obstacle apparently had some purpose to it. She wasn't about to turn rude now.

"Sugar quills, good choice," he mused as he shook his own package of the sweets in his hands. Great minds think alike? Was that a little too much to say right now? Probably, the woman looked rather annoyed at the moment.

Which hopefully had nothing to do with his height. RIGHT?!

Ignoring the begun, Basil simply shrugged his shoulders and muttered a half-hearted, "Eh," before offering his hand towards the woman. "Basil Skeeter, Daily Prophet."

And NO. Not like the herb.

Logan entered Honeydukes, smiling widely at the sight of all the candy. Ohh there was sooo many...and he had come with his pockets FULL of moneyy. So he was gonna spend it all on candy. Yessssss. YESSS. COME TO PAPA!

He walked along the aisles, looking at all the candy. As he stood there, eyeing some Chocolate Frogs, he saw out of the corner of his eye someone walking by. . .he turned his head to get a better look. He grinned when he noticed it was Ella. He quietly tip toed over to her, and leaned in close to her ear. "Hey, Gummy Girl."

Ella was just about to pick out some Peppermint Humbugs when she heard a voice very close to her ear. She jumped a bit, nearly sending candy everywhere and brought a hand up over her mouth. It took her a minute to register what the voice had said. ...Gummy girl? GRIN.

Whipping her head around, the third year BEAMED at the boy. "Logan I...what are you doing here?" You know, besides stocking up on candy. Oh! And hugs were in order, yeah? And so the blonde stepped forward, wrapping him in a hug. It wasn't weird, right? He was still really important to her. "I missed you, y'know."

Logan grinned as Ella turned around. "I'm just getting some candy." he said with a little shrug and a chuckle. "Did ya know I can visit Hogsmeade now?" he asked with a wide smile. He was so happy about that, now every time everyone at Hogwarts went to Hogsmeade, so would he! YAY!

Logan hugged her back, and once he let her go he frowned. "So have I," he sighed. "I miss always hanging out at Hogwarts together on the grounds...or teaching ya guitar in the room of requirement...or eating candy together...everything." he said. "But, in two years or so, I'll be back." he said, his frown turning into a big smile. He couldn't wait...all this catching up on work was super tiring, but totally worth it. He couldn't wait to get back.

It was so nice of Sarah to offer to follow Lex on her trip to get more candy. As it stood, she had none and that good for nothing, cowardly force that locked everyone out of their common rooms was probably enjoying her chocolate frogs even as she was here walking. How very rude. Stealing was wrong and it was EXTRA wrong when it was her candy.

Once she hit the entrance she darted down the first aisle she saw in search of the chocolate frogs...and some cauldron cakes while she was at it.

"Come on Sarah, we're wasting precious daylight!! We need some candy, stat!" She called to her from where she stood eyeing the chocolatey goodness.

Sarah was happy to accompany Alexa on her candy spree, after all when it came to Alexa and sweets it was like life threatening to Alexa not to have some! She had a bit of money on her, yet the store was so tantelizing. In fact, the only way Sarah could stop herself from spending so much money on sweets was this: She said to herself over and over... I have everything I need! You see the Edwards children, being not from wealthy parentage were thrifty with an inbuilt budgeting system. From the time they were young, they had to differenciate between their needs and their wants. Their parents would pay for the needs, while the wants were to be paid for by their own money. They earned money from doing odd jobs as well as they got money on their birthday.

Sarah was happy Alexa was like her... time was too precious to waste so she hurried after her friend. "I know about the day light, it gets dark so early in the winter!" Sarah said. "What are you planning to get first?" asked Sarah curiously

Once Lex found exactly what she was looking for she couldn't stop grabbing. The more she put into her hands was the more she wanted--needed. Thanks to the lock out her sugar level had dropped and she could feel herself slipping into candy withdrawl. YES there was such a thing and YES she was on the verge of suffering from it.

One didn't just hype a kid up on candy all her life only to have it get stolen in one evening by something she couldn't even see. No. Life didn't work like that. It just didn't.

"Weeeell," She started when Sarah finally made her way over to her. "I wanna get some chocolate frogs!!--Scratch that, I want A LOT of chocolate frogs and a few cauldron cakes for the Shiny Ground's Keeper..." oh but then she'd need some EXTRA chocolate frogs 'cause she promised him she'd get him some of those too. Merlin she was gonna need tonnes of this stuff.

She needed more.

Sarah watched in interest as Alexa set to work! It was literally like setting a child loose in a candy store! Alexa's arms seemed so full and Sarah wondered how the girl would be able to eat it all... without some help of course, something that Sarah would gladly volunteer! Sarah wondered if Alexa had actually left so much candy in the common room... that was a lot. Alexa reminded Sarah of a parched dog eagerly lapping up all the moisture it could get. The candy kept coming and coming...
Sarah wondered how Alexa would get all the things back to Hogwarts?

"That is like awesome! It is so nice of you to get some for the groundskeeper... but Alexa, how are we planning on bringing all this stuff back to Hogwarts?" Sarah asked. Maybe an undetectable extension charm or maybe they would owl it or something.

Sarah was starting to get so worried about Alexa, surely so much candy would not be so beneficial to Alexa's health and th sanity of those around her.

Alexa had lost herself in her candy grabbing. All she could see everytime she grabbed a chocolate frog was another one being left lonely on the shelf. No chocolate frog should ever be left behind! They would be sad and it would hurt their fragile self-esteem. She herself would have felt awful if her friend got picked off the shelf and she didn't.

Everytime she said it was the last time she found herself grabbing more. At this rate her father would have to owl her some more money and of course he would because he didn't want his princess being left at school without any money. Nope, he wouldn't hear of it and she was glad for that.

"Oh but of course I have to get him some candy, he's nice and shiny and everything so he deseeeerrvvvveeees them." Nod. Then it was back to her candy grabbing. Just looking at all the candy was giving her a sugar rush--she couldn't wait to start eating them!!!! "Oh and don't worry about that!" She said, whirling around to reveal a bag that she had slung over her shoulder. See she had come well prepared for this.

"Now then. What are you getting?" She asked as she began walking down the aisle again, looking for more candy.

Sarah was glad that Alexa had brought a bag with her, yet it did not look at the current rate Alexa was going that it would ALL fit into the bag. It was a pretty bag for that matter and Sarah had liked the colour of it, that was a turqiouse blue or something.

Sarah quite agreed, "yeah, the staff at school work so hard of course he deserves it!" she said, checking out the prices.

"I am thinking... my birthday is coming up so I guess I will be treating myself to..." Sarah looked around some more "three chocolate frogs and..." Sarah wanted to get 10 items more as then that added to the chocolate frogs would be 13 and that was how old she was turning, "a packet of Bertie Botts every flavour beans, five giant gumballs and four creature feature blowing gums" she finished off. That was all the candy she was going to spend her money on, as her order was rather grand. Yet birthdays are birthdays you see. Sarah loved birthdays and plus she coud always share her candy!

Lex stopped in the middle of her sugar march to look over at her friend. "Now hold on, I didn't say they all deserved it--just Shiny Ground's Keeper." Yup. Only him. The others had a scowling problem where they found that scowling at most of what she said was a GOOD thing but of course it WASN'T. So much scowling could really damage a kid!

And now that that was all nicely cleared up she listened to the mention of the girl treating herself. She couldn't agree more. It was important to treat yourself every now and then...okay maybe a bit more frequently than that...but she couldn't help the frown that formed when she heard exactly what Sarah would be having...

"That's it? You don't want anymore than that? But you can't just have so little candy!! You might not get a sugar rush." She could hardly bear to speak that last part. There was no point in candy unless there was a sugar rush afterwards, duh. "But your birthday's coming up?! Neat! When is it? I might just have to buy you some EXTRA candy too." GRIN. Any excuse to go candy shopping was welcomed by her.

Grin. "Surprise, surprise...you getting candy." And she giggled, shaking her head in amusement. "I can see that and I think...I think it's awesome that you can!" Mhm. Cause now she could see him more often which was great.

The third year looked at Logan with a sad smile as he talked about the things he missed doing, feeling the same way. "It was fun yeah, when we used to hang out like that..." Cause despite everything, they'd always been really good friends. The blonde BEAMED at his next comment, grabbing on to his shoulders and shaking him gently. "I knowww! And I'm really excited about that." Cause then they could hang out again! "So tell me all about what you've been up to..." She said, picking out a few chocolate frogs from the shelf nearby. "I want to know everything."
