HoM Lesson Two: Room Two As you enter the second room the first thing you notice is that it looks exactly the same as the last one, but a tad bigger. This time the riddle is already written on the wall. SPOILER!!: Second Riddle OOC: Do not post in here unless I said your previous answer was correct. |
Sarah looked at the riddle and in a flash she had it. On a piece of partchment she scribbled: SPOILER!!: answer |
AHA! He had made it through, perfect! He rushed forward and looked at the riddle. Ok, this one was a bit tougher. Santa Claus? No, that made absolutely no sense. He thought about the answer to the last riddle...they had to be related, right? He quickly started running through the ghosts in his brain...a jolly fellow, someone who wanted to be their friend...OF COURSE! Why hadn't he realized it right away? SPOILER!!: Answer Once more he waited for the slot to accept his answer and allow him in to the next room. |
Friendly ghost, huh? CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASPERRRRRRRRR!!!! But this was the Wizarding World. Kat took out a piece of parchment and scribbled her answer on it. This was... quite obvious though. SPOILER!!: Kat's parchment Then she slipped it inside the slot... She was confident about this. |
Success! Max hurried through the door as it allowed him entry and stopped in the middle of the room. His eyes fell upon the riddle on the wall, and he tilted his head slightly as he read it. Hm. He removed another sheet of parchment from his bag while he thought it over. It was... kind of obscure - so obscure that Max thought it could have been anyone, really. Plenty of people were friendly after death. But there had to be some kind of key words... something that would point to one direct person. Oh. Who was the most forgiving and endlessly happy? A small smile playing upon his lips, Max scribbled on the parchment and stuck it through the mail slot on the new door. SPOILER!!: Max's parchment |
Laura smiled as she thought about the answer for the next riddle, she had a feeling she knew this one but if she was wrong then she would guess again. SPOILER!!: Laura's parchment Laura was loving these's riddles though the Professor was totally mental still or so she thought. |
She had made it through! At first she had thought of a patronus in the first room, but they weren't cold or scary so she knew she had to think harder. And she was glad that she had, because this riddle seemed very much related. While she could think of several friendly dispositions, she decided on the happiest of all. SPOILER!!: Eliza's Parchment She folded her paper down the middle and slid it through the hole in the next door. How is he watching all of this? She looked around her. Are there cameras in here? How else could he see each room at once... She hoped he was monitoring them at least, in case something bad happened. She was learning that anything could happen here at Hogwarts, at any place or time. |
BEAM. BEAM. BEAM. Ella had done it! Not that the first riddle was particularly hard but still, BEAM. Entering the second room, the third year was happy to see that it was slightly bigger... even if it was only by a tiny bit. Oh! And the riddle was already there. Best to get writing. Hmmm...a jolly ghost? Well there were several nice ghosts floating about the castle. At least she could ignore the female ghosts. Stroking her imaginary beard, the third year bit her lip. Forgiving til the end? Hey! Grin. Maybe it was... SPOILER!!: Ella's Answer She folded her parchment when she was finished writing, placing it through the slot. |
Vivi was happy to step through the door upon her correct answer, if only because it meant she suddenly was no longer snuggling up with a bunch of firsties. She rushed forward into the next room and glanced immediately at the riddle. Much more difficult, and it required knowledge of the school rather than just ease with riddles and their word tricks. She pondered the riddle as she scooted to the side to let others follow her into the room. There were some immediate answers that came to mind, but she employed the practice from DADA class of not going with her first thought. What made sense and checked out as true against every line of the riddle? When it came to her, her blue eyes widened and Vivi ripped a piece of parchment from the role and scribbled down an answer to be shoved through the door again. SPOILER!!: Vivi's answer |
He got the riddle right? Awesome! He moved onto the next room... where it looked pretty similar to the one before, although it looked like they had a bit more space?.... or maybe not everybody made it through. He turned his head and saw the next clue. Again several answers popped into his head, but like the first question a particular answer contradicted the other lines to the riddle. He stared at the riddle then ripped off a part of his parchment before scribbling the answer in: SPOILER!!: Vickers answer .... and again dropped it into the mail slot. |
As Daichi stood in front of the door, waiting if his answer had been right. As the door began to glow, the Slytherin did a few steps backwards in fear that his answer had not been right and it was going to explode. Shutting his eyes while carefully peering through one of them, he waited for the bang though it never came. Instead the Slytherin looked dumbfounded when he found out that he could pass to the second round. Or room whatever you wanted to call it. Beaming brightly, Daichi entered the room and was a little dissapointed that it looked the same as the previous one. Now to find the riddle. He looked around and found the words written on the wall again. So this person was a wizard who died...and he was jolly.. Jolly meant happy right? Daichi thought it meant that. A wizard who died ...those were ghosts now. Now which ghost in the castle was *jolly*? Blink blink "The F--" he quickly pressed his hands against his mouth and looked around with his eyes. Eeek , he had almost said the answer.. Or what he thought was the answer. Writing down his answer on a spare piece of parchment, Daichi walked to the door and pushed the paper through the slot. SPOILER!!: Answer |
.... yep! She was allowed into the next room, and it was still as crowded in here. Ugh. She didn't know where to go with her elbows, so raising her arms over the shorter kids, she tried so hard not to step over ALL the toes on her way to the next door. She just stomped a dozen. OHH, and the riddle WAS harder than the one before... just a tad. HMMM.. there were a lot of jolly wizards in history. Slughorn being one... but he wouldn't be friends with just anyone else. OH! OH! There was this word that gave her another helpful clue. She used the wall as a desk again and scribbled down her answer. SPOILER!!: Louisa's Answer Then folded the parchment and dropped it into the mail slot. |
Minerva walked into the other room. This was just weird. What was Scabs up to. Looking around the room looked the same, did he have a spell that made them just keep going to the same room, but they thought they were different. Looking to the wall she read the riddle, who could it be. There were so many ghost but who could this one be. Minerva thought and thought, others seem to have gotten it quickly. Come on Min your not dumb, this shouldn't be hard. Then something came to her and she quickly wrote on the parchment. SPOILER!!: |
Whoo hoo, made it! Entering the second room and reading the riddle upon the wall, Emmanuelle found out that she had been right. The riddles were going to get harder as they went on. She briefly wondered how many rooms there were. Surely not like, ten or anything like that. That would be too many! Anyway, moving on. Em thought over the riddle for awhile, before the answer popped into her head, fast as lightening. She wrote it down, hurried over to the next door and shoved the parchment in the slot. SPOILER!!: Emmanuelle's answer |
Could the creepy room theme stop now, please? While Kurumi was grateful for the slightly larger surroundings, she wasn't too keen on the whole aesthetic of this room. It looked exactly the same. Kurumi saw the next clue and sort of shivered uncomfortably. All this...talk about...that...was making Kurumi suddenly feel really uncomfortable given certain events over the summer. Parchment and quill out, it didn't take the Gryffindor too long to write down her guess and submit it through the slot. SPOILER!!: answer |
Jory looked around at the larger room, taking it in. Most of the students that had started out were already there. He read the riddle which he had just spotted on the wall and had to ponder a while on this answer. SPOILER!!: Jory's answer Te Puff slipped the parchment through the slot. |

Taylor smiled as she was finally in the second room she looked at the riddle. Are you serious? Is this a game for little kids? She sighed and wrote her answer on parchment slipping it into the slot. SPOILER!!: answer |
Text Cut: Killer.Doodles Feeling as if she was getting way behind, Sierra edged her way into the next room as soon as she possibly could. Once in there, she didn't waste any time. Her big, brown eyes rapidly read through the next clue. Oh, this one was easy. Only one of those types could be that friendly. She smirked to herself and began writing her answer to the next clue. SPOILER!!: Answer |
Sophie walked into the new room and looked around. Same thing, prety much. Hm... She read the words on the wall and pondered about them a bit. That wasn't as easy as the first one, but after the second time she read it all a smiled formed on her face. Grabbing a new piece of parchment, the young badger jotted down the answer she thought was right and slid it into the slot. Text Cut: Parchment |
The 11 year old was still beaming as she made her way into the second room. Now she just felt like she could tackle any riddle. She was totally ready for anything else the Professor might have thrown at them. With her confidence all nicely in tact she strutted over to read the next clue. O__O Well... that deflated things quite nicely. Yup. She was stumped. Who in the world could this be...was it even a who?? Why'd the professor have to go and be so vague about it? Couldn't he have just cut to the chase and given them the answer? Honestly, Professors now a days were so backgrounds. She took an extra second to look at the riddle, this time she felt something tug at her memory...something Will had told her...SIGH, this was why she should listen to the boy more often!!!! Oh wait! That was it!!! With all her confidence rushing back she quickly scribbled the next answer on another piece of parchment then slipped it in the slot. SPOILER!!: Parchment Psssh, she so had this. There was nothing to this riddle stuff... |
Addie's first answer was obviously right so she moved right into the second room. Looking at the riddle she tried to put the pieces together. So this was a person, or most likely a ghost, because they were a jolly dead man who's friendly hmmm. Of course it was one of those Hogwarts ghosts. The Puff one. Hmmm....Friar, the fat one. Smiling to herself she wrote it down on the parchment and slipped it in. SPOILER!!: answer |
Milton walked into the next room, which thankfully seemed a bit bigger than the last one. He narrowed his eyes and read the riddle over and over again, tapping his pen on his chin. Obviously, it was a ghost, but which one? After another moment of pondering, Milton finally decided that his answer was the best one and he scribbled it down on his piece of parchment before slipping it into the mail slot. SPOILER!!: answer |
Text Cut: Scabby First completely different The riddle was immediately apparent on the wall. He strode off to a corner and plunked himself on the floor in his 'thinking position.' SPOILER!!: Pao's reasoning and answer He anxiously waited to see if his answer was right. A few people had already made it through to the next room. He didn't want to fall too far behind! |
Thankfully this room was larger... even if only by a little bit... Anya spotted the next riddle on the wall already. Was it just her, or was there a common theme? She quickly scribbled down her answer and shoved it in the slot. SPOILER!!: Anya's Answer |
