| | HoM Lesson Two: Room Three The third room is much larger, but also quite different from the last two. In fact it is almost blinding. As you enter the room the sudden shock of blue all around you is almost enough to leave you temporarily blind. Even the door is the same shade of blue; the neon blue words of the question surrounding the door, making it stand out just a little bit.
Before you have the chance to really write anything down you find your feet no longer touching the floor.
Better hurry up! The higher you go, the harder it will be to get your parchment in the mail slot! OOC: A minimum of two posts is required for this room. Do not post in here unless I said your previous answer from the second room was correct. People who can post here:

Getting past the last room had Vickers rushing forward towards the next one, only to be BLINDED with all that BLUENESS. And it wasnt even the calm type of blue that Ravenclaws were accustomed to, this was was screaming through your eyelids kind of blue. Suddenly he remembered the painting job he and Lewis sneakily pulled on Scabbior's office. Was this the Historian's payback to them?
He was starting to get that floaty feeling too. Mistaking it for lightheadedness he stepped forward-- and suddenly found himself literally head over heels....
...and he thought he'd never be able to pull a somersault in the air heh.
Of course pulling somersaults isnt really what he wanted to do right now (or ever) and all that spinning around was making his lunch ask if it can make an impromptu appearance. It now took all his concentration to clench his jaw shut and silently keep it well and truly hidden...

Hogwarts RPG Name: Eliza Neladara Dawnsel Fifth Year | Eliza folded her parchment and held it between her teeth and she tried to push and glide herself back down towards the slot in the door. She wished she knew some sort of propulsion spell, but she did not. Maybe I could banish my letter through the slot? She stopped for a moment to think if that would work. It might...but only if I did it right. Best not to risk it. She continued to do what must have looked like swimming, trying to get closer to the door. Once she was within an arms reach, she stretched her fingers as far as she could, took the parchment from her teeth, and stuck it through the mail slot. Whew! I didn't realize we'd be exercising in History class! She did her best to back away from the door to give other students a chance to submit their answers as well. What a strange concept for a room. Why did he make it look like this, I wonder? |

He wobbled this way and that just trying to get himself upright. It was then when he spotted the writings on the wall near the door--it was the riddle!
Its tough trying to read it all, keep himself from floating upside down AND think of the answer. Then it took another few minutes of struggling to get the parchment out and THEN write. So by the time he managed to push-glide-swim his way towards the direction of the door most students have gotten their answers into the mail slot. He crawled his way upside down the door towards the mail slot and finally managed to push the parchment through.... |

Still frantically attempting to swim through the air, the first year lost focus. " Questo è male!" Pao yelled, reverting to Italian in his distress.** This was NOT what he'd signed up for. He bumped into several people as his arms flailed wildly, which was quite impressive, given the much smaller amount of people in this room.
After what seemed like an eternity but was likely five seconds, he finally noticed he was staying stable enough in the air to read the neon writing. Okay, Mancini, think fast! **Google says it means 'this is bad.'
Once he scrawled his answer down haphazardly, he renewed his efforts to swim for the door. " Come on, almost... there..." And with one final push he stuffed the bit into the slot.

| Wibbly Wobbly | Timey Wimey Taylor came into the third room and looked at the riddle. It was the opposite of the last answer so that seems a little difficult... The person was the first... ummmmm still a little difficult... dont stop and say hey to the person... wont pay a dime, things to do and dont have the time... This was going to be harder than she thought... and now she was starting to float up... grrrrreat..." Taylor had to think of an answer AND try not to float. This was going to be really difficult... how the heck will she get to the door if she takes too long. Was this even humane? Tay grumbled then started to try to grab at the walls while thinking of an answer to the riddle.

Ok, he could read more of the riddle now...
Based off the riddles in the last two rooms, it was very easy for him to figure this one out, especially when he got to the part about wringing in a fool. That made him sure he was right.
He pushed himself towards the wall and hastily used it to prop up his parchment so he could scribble his answer on it. Then, using his air-swimming technique, he made his way to the slot and finally got there a few minutes later. Now his arm muscles were KILLING him, and he waited anxiously for it to let him in and accept his answer. Quote:

Folding up the parchment, the small blonde did her best to make her way over to the slot quickly, before she floated TOO high up. She made a sort of swimming motion as she went, trying not to bump people...though she totally did. "Sorry!" She squeaked, as she floated into an older boy. She totally couldn't be blamed for that, either. BLAME SCABIOR! Nod. Anndddd she slowly but surely made her way towards the slot. Hey! This was kinda like Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory! Yeah! When they floated in that fizzy room! That was just a tiny tiny bit cool. BUT ONLY A LITTLE. Reaching out her fingers, the badger justtttttt barely managed to get her answer into the slot before she got too high up.
Merlin's beard! She really hoped she was right! Quote:

Okay, now WHERE was the mail slot thing now? Squinting, Kurumi glanced around the room and all the other floating students and tried to position herself so she could kick off the wall once she found the mail slot. OH! There is was! Shifting her body a bit more, Kurumi squatted against the wall and then PUSHED off with all her might to hopefully just send her shooting across the room and right towards the mail slot. Only problem? She was moving to fa--- *SMACK*
Kurumi quite literally face planted into the wall and her arm sort of turned in an awkward position that made it hard to slip her answer into the mail slot. Unsmashing her face for a moment, Kurumi managed to do so and then pushed away from the wall to floooooooat away.
Someone else could smash into the wall now...yep. Quote:

Though he took a split second to ponder two answers, he had decided on one after catching quick sight of the "wringing in the fool" line, scribbled it with his self-inking quill, and dove forward to shove it through the mail slot on the door.
In the same diving move to rid his parchment through the door(in which he managed to bump his head against the door itself but succeeded in sticking the parchment through the slot), he tossed his quill up to his house and yearmate, Vivi.
Good thing he had a spare. Quote:

Vivi jerked out another quill, albeit one that was nubby and splatted a bit when it wrote, and she kicked out her legs to get closer to the wall. Using that as a hard surface for writing, Vivi scratched down a blotty, inky answer.
Now she just had to get down to the slot, which was challenging without anything to use as a grip. Grip...? Like in Defense, right? She tucked her parchment under one arm and cast a gripping spell on her hand. Using that hand, Vivi dragged herself down the wall until she could shove her paper through the slot in the door. Quote:

KJFDGHDFL. She MUST hurry up, she could see Vivi and Max already giving their answers. Louisa stared at the message again, trying to focus so hard on giving an absolute answer instead of thinking about her floating self and the hand pressed strongly against the wall. It was fairly easy, considering they used puzzles to get into their common room so she fumbled with the parchment, letting go off the wall, and scribbled down her answer.
She slipped the quill through her collar, but not all the way down, to keep it safe as she put the parchment in her mouth and made more use of her hands by grabbing the wall and diving for the mail slot. She bumped into some hovering kids around but the room wasn't AS crowded so it wasn't aggressive. It took only a couple more crawling in the air to reach the slot, with one swift motion she took the parchment from her lips and into the mail slot she pushed it.
It better be correct. Quote:

Anyway, she found the riddle again (having lost sight of it in the surprise floating) and thought it over, floating higher ( x2) the entire time. An answer came to her, but unlike the first two riddles, she wasn't that confident in this one. Maybe cause her thought process was interrupted by the light and floating? She struggled around with her parchment, finally swim-floating over to a wall and placing her parchment against it. Using the wall as a desk, Em scribbled her answer down quickly. Then she looked around to see how others were getting over to the mail slot.
Deciding that the 'swimmers' had the best idea, she kicked off the wall and did her best butterfly stroke towards the door. Sure, it looked ridiculous, but it worked as she could see herself getting closer to the door. Finally she bumped into it (a little harder than she would've liked). She felt along the door, found the slot, slipped her parchment inside, and moved out of the way so that someone else could give it a go. She did remain near the door though, 'clinging' to the wall so that she would be ready in case she was right and the door opened for her. Quote:

Eyes....hurt...
MERLIN! The Ravenclaw immediately covered her eyes with the back of her hand upon entering. The room was blue...so blue that it made her eyes water. She almost wanted to go back to the previous one. The neon lights were giving her a major headache. Wait..that was the riddle!
She removed her hand and squinted at the words.
Beezus barely finished reading it when she felt her feet leave the floor.
O_____________o
What was this?! Why was she floating? "What's happening?!" she muttered, clutching the parchment and quill tightly in her hands.

There! There's the riddle! Kat floated even nearer to it so she can read... First, Kat analyzed the riddle. EXACT opposite of the answer to the previous riddle... meaning the opposite of Huffepuff. That's your house, stupid head. Kat smirked. Right now, she was so sure it was the answer.
Then she slipped it inside the mail slot.

Whoa! Whoa!
She was literally floating. Did the room not have gravity? She looked around her peers and saw almost all of them still going on the riddle despite their flight from the ground. So they thought their weightlessness was part of an attempt to lure them away from the next door? Okay, okay. She'd have to work on that too. "Bloody Quaffle!" Why, she was moving further and further away from the mail slot as she took longer.
Biting her bottom lip, Beezus reeled on the riddle again and after a few seconds of thinking over, she hastily scribbled her answer on the parchment. Then she kicked against the air and heaved herself towards and dropped off the parchment into the slot.

As soon as Milton stepped into the room his eyes twitched and he almost walked right out. What in the world? After adjusting to the extremely blueness of his surroundings, Milton walked forward a little more until... well, he couldn't.
He was... floating. O____o
Milton flailed a little bit and looked around frantically to see if everyone else was experiencing the same problem. They were, good. But really, Milton should have expected this by now. Hogwarts never did things normally. Obviously.

Not being in control of their body wasn't pleasant in the least.. All this riddle and rooms felt like she was being thrown from here to there! As Ira stumbled into the third room, a bit dizzy, and... blue! All was blue. She rubbed her eyes again, thinking it was her mind or eyes playing tricks on her. Again she saw.. same.
The blue was hurting to her eyes. Whoever had planned the room interiors was obviously a little mad. Or colorblind.
Taking a few moments to get her eyes adjusted to the blueness around her, Ira sighed. One more riddle. Ira was just about to read the riddle, when suddenly the ground gave way. No, she began floating, or rather flying! Help! How was she supposed to think and answer of a riddle while being made to fly backwards?

Hannah rushed to the third room because she knew that she was way behind. She didn't even expect to really win at this point, but she had to at least make it through to the end.
As soon as she entered the room it was as if her eyes had quit working. The blue was blinding her and she immediately had a horrible headache. She didn't know how she was going to be able to open her eyes long enough to see the puzzle. Before she had a chance to even worry about solving the puzzle she felt her feet leave the floor. Merlin...was she floating?
This was so not cool. She tried to open her eyes and squinted trying to make sense of it all. Hannah didn't care so much about making it to the end now...this was nuts!

Sophie found herself floating before she could finish reading the riddle. And it seemed like she wasn't just floating, but she was getting higher!
At least it was fun to swim around the air for a bit. Hehe!
Anyhow, no time to waste! Sophie reread the riddle and the answer pretty much popped into her mind as well as soon as she read the first line. Opposite of the second answer.
She struggled to get another piece of parchment from her pocket. Eeeep!

Ira scrambled to think and try not to fly away from the riddle as quick as she could. She squinted into the light, and tried reading the riddle again.
Opposite the second answer? Wait, the second answer was Fat Friar. So.. opposite meant something like, say, Thin Friar? That was ridiculous! Shaking her head at her own stupidity, Ira read ahead. So this too was about a ghost? If so, Ira knew exactly who it was. Who was the unpleasant ghost after all?
So, quickly, she wrote down the answer, and kicked her legs to get down near the mail slot, and deposited her answer, before flying again.. |

| Arts TRANSPONSTER! After a few long seconds, Sophie finally got the piece of parchment out of her pocket without making the other ones fly around. It'd be terrible to have to swim around, catching the tiny, flying pieces of parchment!
Sticking out her tongue, she scribbled her answer and was almost upside down when she managed to slip it through the slot.

Blueness. Wow.
At least it was a different colour to the other rooms? No? Much more exci-

Her feet! They weren't on the ground anymore! Renesmee stared in utter shock as she couldn't feel the ground beneathe her toes. She slowly felt herself going up higher and higher and had the urge to start screaming about. She didn't like how this felt, it wasn't that she was afraid of heights, but this did feel a little insecure. Even walking on the roof felt safer than this.
Just breathe! She mumbled to herself. Now where was the next riddle? The red head looked about, and it took her a little longer this time to spot the neon blue letters, but when she did she began reading right away. She kept a peice of parchment and a pen tightly in her two hands trying to finish off the rest of the words.
She could do this!

The moment Sierra entered the room, she immediately put her hands over her eyes and stepped back a bit. AHHHHH. THE BLUE. THE BLUUUUEEEE! This was more than enough blue to make Rowena Ravenclaw proud for the rest of her life. Err, afterlife.
A few seconds later, Sierra removed her hands over her eyes. Wait. THE FLOOR. Why was it not directly underneath her feet?! She was going to die in this room, wasn't she?! The blueness was already starting to drive her insane. Wait. THE CLUE. Where was the clue?! Her eyes had adjusted to the room by now, so she began looking this way and that.
Finally. The clue. She hastily read it, her brain already working overtime to figure it out.

Why, she was moving further and further away from the mail slot as she took longer.
Biting her bottom lip, Beezus reeled on the riddle again and after a few seconds of thinking over, she hastily scribbled her answer on the parchment. Then she kicked against the air and heaved herself towards and dropped off the parchment into the slot. Quote:

Opposite the second answer? Wait, the second answer was Fat Friar. So.. opposite meant something like, say, Thin Friar? That was ridiculous! Shaking her head at her own stupidity, Ira read ahead. So this too was about a ghost? If so, Ira knew exactly who it was. Who was the unpleasant ghost after all?
So, quickly, she wrote down the answer, and kicked her legs to get down near the mail slot, and deposited her answer, before flying again.. Quote:

Sticking out her tongue, she scribbled her answer and was almost upside down when she managed to slip it through the slot. Another group that didn't let the floating stop them! Your answers go though, and the next door opens. So, enter!. The floating didn't manage to stop you either! As your answers go in, the next door opens. Enter!. OOC: You can still answer and try to get through if you haven't! I will continue to reply to everyone in all the rooms. No one is "too late.
