Hogwarts Pep Rally
When Thursday, 27 September @ 8pm EST
to
Sunday, 30 September @ 11:59pm EST
Where Hogwarts Stadium
Electricity filled the air as the gates to Hogwarts Stadium magically opened themselves to the staff and students of the school. Set against the backdrop of Hogwarts Castle, the stadium seemed to have a life of its own - the exquisite tapestries that covered the stadium's skeleton shone brightly in the autumn sun. The blues, bronzes, crimson, gold, black, emerald and silver shades appeared brighter than usual. A light breeze wafted through the stadium, ruffling the tapestries and causing an illusion of the embroidered mascots coming to life.
Come in and have a seat in the sections that are decorated with your Hogwarts house colors. Unfurl your banners and get ready for the fun to begin!
Oh just great, it was THEIR turn...DARN IT. Elliot thought she should cheer, though...it was the best house EVER!
What sound so eagles make, anyways? Snakes went SSSSS and lions went ROOOOAR and Badgers went I'M STUPID er, some other lame sound, but what did eagles say?! CAAWW?! No. that was a crow! Hm...
Elliot just began to jump around and scream...CLAAAAWWWWSSSS! over and over.
Check. Cheering, DONE.
Maxwell walked into the pep rally, fashionably late of course and noticed his girlfriend jumping around and screaming...this didn't seem like her cup of tea but if it was who was he to judge?
He walked up behind her. "'Claws'? I don't think i've ever heard an eagle make that noise?.." He said very sarcastically, she smirk on his face almost audible in the sentence.
While the Gryffindor was clad in Scarlet and Gold he wasn't doing any jumping, not at the moment anyway. "I didn't see you as the pep rally type." He said trying to speak over the crowd.

Indiana loved pep rallys. Especially because it meant she got to dress up. Indy loved dressing up. To was donned in a very ravenclaw outfit, with her hair french plaited with blue ribbons. She was feeling very ravenclaw today. She hurried up to the stadium. She was glad of this pep rally, it meant that she could get prepared to cheer for her life when Ravenclaw finally played. They were going to own this term. Even if she couldn't actually play with them. But she would be the teams personal cheerleader. So it would work out pretty fine.
"Yaaay. Ravenclaw" She cheered once she had taken her place. She was excited, although she couldn't see too many ravenclaws. That was okay. She had a big mouth apparently, so she should be able to do big cheers. "Ravenclaww Ravenclaww We're the cool kids we're ravenclaww"

Abby made her way to the stadium, digging her hands deep in the pockets of her coat. She cringed slightly at the noise level.. Did people have to scream SO loudly? She understood house spirit but this was just too much.
She stood awkwardly in the Hufflepuff section of the stands, watching people scream and dance and jump around. Huh. No, thanks. She wasn't going to be doing any of those things but she was here, wasn't she? Supporting Hufflepuff? That should count for something. At least, she thought it did. She would hardly be standing here and risk the ability to ever be able to hear again if she wasn't supporting her house. Obviously.

HE was the seventh year boy at THIS pep rally.
However that didn't mean he was going to sit this one out in any way. No sir. Prefect Gideon Gert was gonna be out there cheering on his house once more. He was just a bit more subdoed in his attire this time around. Wearing an outfit of maroon jeans and lion shirt as he made his way up to the stands decked out all in Gryffindor red and gold.
"Roar Roar...Gryffindor."

He moved out of the way of a person who seemed to be in a mascot costume and his eyes were opened wide. SCARY PERSON. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" He screamed, moving as far away as possible to the edge of the front section. Where was Melanie when he needed her?

Andddd... of course there was a crazy shirtless guy. That seemed more like a pep rally that she was expecting.
... That was her half dressed man. "You know... you could have just transfigured a shirt a different color if you didn't have red." But nope. He had to be a guy. Unless... he did it on purpose... in which case... Anya needed to rethink some things.
She casually stepped in front of him, because, you know, eyes to yourselves ladies.
Oh. And there were other people too. "Capt'n. Gideon. Taggie. Penne." she said with a smile nodding to each of them.

Penelope made her way quickly down to the stands for the pep rally. Shame it wasn't for a match yet, but pep rallies sounded cool too, especially since she'd never really been to one before. So this would be interesting.
Entering the stands, she quickly spotted Selina and Tag, so she walked over to them...and heard something about a bare chested/naked mascot? And THAT was when she spotted Jake. "Found him," she said, smirking.

Yes. Jake was pumped. He was excited. He was PEPPY. He was so full of house-pride it was a miracle he wasn't spouting off cheers and waving pom poms. He did, however, paint his torso in his house colors. Half gold, half red. In place of a shirt. Ya know, since he didn't have a Gryffindor or Gryffindor-like shirt. Paint was the only acceptable replacement.
"WOOOOO!" he cheered again as he ran up the stands to the group of red-and-gold clad students. "YEAH!"
He could so be a cheerleader. If this Quidditch thing didn't work out for him...

Was she late? No matter! This was a pep rally, not a class, so it was fine! So she began!
"ROAR ROAR GRYFFINDOR!!!"
She cheered on, eager to be heard above the voices of other houses/ Gryffindor's Roar HAD to be the LOUDEST!!

However, it was also the opportunity to break out something very near and dear to Selina's heart- face paint. The redhead, whenever it came to house spirit events and public displays of house pride, could always be seen sporting battle paint. It was a signature of hers that she had started wearing since the FIRST pep rally back when she was a third year- three years ago. Three years had gone by so fast. Hogwarts really did fly by; all of the older students had tried to warn her, but she had never anticipated just HOW much of a fleeting experience Hogwarts was in hindsight. Now it was almost over... weird.
Shaking that all off of her mind, because she did not want to enter a pep rally lacking pep, Selina ran out to join the red and gold section- Gryffindor. Her heart swelled with pride at all of the ickle lions that were running around showing their support for the best house at Hogwarts their house. It was nice to know that the legacy would live on in the younger generation...
...although part of that fact also terrified Selina. The younger lions, who were awesome, were also sort of looney. Selina had no room to be talking about the whole crazy scale, but it was a safe bet to say that they were an eleven on a scale of one to ten.
Finally, catching sight of a lion shirted prefect, the redhead jogged over to her boyfriend and waved him down. As she caught up with him she let out a breathy laugh, "What? No bare chested lion mascot this year?" A small smirk creeped up on her face. The pep rally a few years ago had been quite... the show. Gryffindor boys had, in the lack of a better term, gone wild. It had been AWESOME.

This was going to be the best pep rally ever.
What? Vindictus couldn't hear them? He couldn't hear the peppiness? PFFT.
The Gryffindor may have been small, but she had the biggest mouth around. Cupping her hands over her lips, she shouted as loudly as possible. "ROAR, ROAR, GRYFFINDOR!" How was that for peppy? Good, eh? She just hoped she hadn't burst the eardrums of her fellow lions. She waved her arms at everyone else in red, beckoning them over to the Gryffindor area of the stands.
AND. Finally. Their shouting had paid off, she realized, when Vindictus pointed to them.
GRYFFINDOR.

Gawping at the scene before him, Ed tried to make sense of what was going on. He was in the Hufflepuff stands because that was his house, but that was about the only reason. They needed a stand labeled 'too confused to join in' or 'wanting to enjoy watch everyone from a quiet place'. He didn't even know he was meant to wear yellow! He looked around, trying to find something or someone who'd explain this chaos to him.
Who did he find? Crabby. Ha, well at least they'd have the same attitude today. He walked over to her and put his hands in his pockets as he eyed the crazy people yelling. Still grumpy as anything, he figured he should greet her. "Hi. You look positively house proud."

Ooooh. Almond. Thankfully. He didn't seem to be doing any of the crazy things the other people seemed to be doing. Great. "Well, I am. I wouldn't be here otherwise." Abby practically shouted, hoping to be heard over all that noise. She was a proud Hufflepuff but she didn't see the need to yell that out. Heh. Whatever. People seemed to be enjoying what they were doing so good for them. She pulled him away to one corner of the stand so that they could talk.. not shout.
"You aren't wearing yellow." Abby frowned, looking at his clothes. She was wearing a yellow top for the occassion. She pulled her hair back from her face and pulled it into a ponytail. "... and you don't look happy being here either." Just an observation.

He frowned at her slightly, it was strange that people could get this excited about a house. Was it bad that he was just here to try and understand why people got so frustrated when their house was losing? It was pretty clear to him now, though.
Following her to the corner, he smiled at her observation. "Yeah, I didn't think I'd have to, but it seems that I was wrong." He looked out over at the sea of yellow, blue, green and red around the stands. "Eh, I'm fine about being here, I'm just confused, mostly." He shrugged. He hadn't been at Hogwarts long enough to understand the extent of the house proud nature of every student. "And it's very loud." Extremely. He only liked noise when HE was the one making it.

Pep rallies are always fun. It's where everyone gets to be better than everyone else. Juliet walked over to the stadium with a Slytherin outfit. Upon arriving, she had a big grin stuck to her face as she saw most of the people dressing in the color of their own houses and load roars of cheers can be heard even miles away. Juliet heard professor Vindictus shouting out each of the houses where each of which shouted back in response.
Walking over to the green side of the stadium, Juliet stood up with the rest of the Slytherins. "WOOOOHOOOO!!!" she shouted as well "Go Slytherin!!!!"
Spike had thought about doing this for the first Quidditch match, but now seemed much more appropriate. For one, he might be playing in the match, and he didn't know if Professor Vindictus would allow dragon suits instead of Quidditch robes, and for two, what better way to show House spirit than being Ravenclaw's friendly, huggable dragon?
It also doubled as a great disguise. Indy had helped him get all the curls back from his face and hidden under the dragon head, and had then painted his face in a matching blue. Without his unruly curls, Spike was barely recognisable, and for today, that was just the desired effect. Only Indy knew it was him in that suit, and perhaps a certain Gryffindor Prefect who'd inspired the idea.
The one problem with this suit, however, was walking - it just wasn't possible. Due to the size of the tail, he'd waddled from the tower, and was now attempting to waddle up the stairs. It might be impractical, but it was probably rather cute in it's way. The tail wiggled behind him, and his little wings gently flapped as he'd charmed them to do.
Fiiiinally, he'd reached the rest of the Ravenclaws. He waddle!skipped over, and wiggled in next to the Ravenclaw Captain. "C'mon people, you can do better than that!" Spike jumped up and down, his tail wiggling behind him. Why were there people still sitting down?
"Caw caw Ravenclaw!"
And amongst his cheering, free hugs were available for any Claw who wanted them...
Still screaming and cheering Sarah reached for the bag she had brought along. She had been up late last night tranfiguring all the shirts. Apparently Lions seemed to have a knack for transfiguration and she had managed to get enough black bags for it... She liked the back better especially the last line... She laid out one before her... the back looked really nice..
SPOILER!!: back of tshirt
. She looked down at the front of it.. it was OKAY:

"Lions... do you want a TSHIRT?" she said. Not waiting for a reply she gave one to Gideon, Selina, Anya, Ira, Penelope, Jake (Sarah had never formally met him), Tag, and another boy and a girl (IbeJen and Landon)

Minerva was having a blast. She was so excited to have come up with the idea to wear a Badger Costume. It took her weeks to come up with and get everything right on it, plus making her flag. See all her housemates slowly coming to join her as well as their Head of house was fantastic. She again ran around with the huge flag in the air.
Here Alec she turned again to him. Songs.. Hmm one came to mind that she heard either first of second year, but it made her cringe, because it remember her of that dreaded team that was rival with her football team back home. She always secretly wished that their colors weren't the same as that team.. Screaming through the costume, "Have you ever her the black and yellow song? Someone sang it either my first or second year.." She would suck it up if it meant showing spirit for her house.
Before she could think of anything else someone had bumped into her, turning she froze for a second and felt her cheeks go red, but wait he couldn't see her so it was fine. Jumping around again, she moved out of Oakey's way and was glad when he told Alec he knew chants, cheers, or songs. Moving a little from Oakey and Alec, Minerva set the flag down again and did a cartwheel in the front of the crowd. Jumping around and pumping her badger arms in the air hoping to get the crowd louder. That's when she saw it.. OAKEY HAD A MEGAPHONE!!! AWESOME!! This was going to be so cool. But wait was that two Hufflepuffs sitting quietly not looking like they were having fun. Minerva wasn't really sure she knew either of them, but that is why she wanted the get to know you party so badly. Running over to them she danced around yelling "Woot woot" and "Hufflepuff..Hufflepuff.." cheering she hoped to get the up cheering with the rest of her house. She didn't want to see anyone not having fun.

It's time to show our house pride!
Didn't know why but Gary was so enthusiast about this. It wasn't him as usual because usually he seemed like to avoid the school events. But now he decided to come to the pep rally. Maybe socialize around the people, especially the Slytherins could distract his mind from his problems.
With camera in his hand, the blonde guy took some photos around. "GO SLYTHERIN!" he shouted loudly and gathered around the Snakes. He just smiled to the a girl next to him.

Kat was jumping around. Cheering for Slytherin wasn't that tiring or hard. Kat was super duper hyper anyway. As she heard the other Snakes root for their House, Kat knew she must join in as well. SHOW THAT SLYTHERIN PRIDE!

"Hey Nigel," Elise grinned, before turning around just in time to see Professor Vindictus pointing at them. Yay! It was time. Time to show all of Hogwarts how loud this seemingly quiet girl could cheer.
Jumping at least a foot into the air when she'd heard her Quidditch captain's voice bellow, she squeaked. Eagles don't squeak. Mice do. What sound did Eagles make again? Right. They caw, right? At least Ravens caw.
"CAW CAW RAVENCLAW!" she cried, adding her own voice to the din caused by the blue clad people. Was that a dragooon? It was so cute! Shuffling over to it, Elise tapped it on the shoulder.
"Are you huggable?" she asked, the picture of innocence. But it wasn't her fault the dragon was so cute! And huggable-looking. And so very familiar. But she couldn't quite place the face.
Laura looked at the ground and smiled as she looked around to see what other hufflepuffs were here as well, she giggled as she looked at the stuff she had brought with her, this was going to be soooooo much fun. "GIVE ME A H, GIVE ME A U, GIVE ME A F GIVE ME A F GIVE ME A L GIVE ME A E GIVE ME A P GIVE ME A U GIVE ME A F GIVE ME A F ." Laura started acting like a cheerleader. "WHAT DO YOU GET?" Laura giggled. "GO GO HUFFLEPUFF GO GO!!"
"Caw caw, RAVENCLAW!" Spike cheered, bopping as he did so. Behind him, his tail kept wiggling too. HEHE.
Huh? Who was tapping him? Dragon!Spike turned to the 'Claw. "Huggable?" Spike repeated with a smile, stopping his bouncing for a moment. "Of course I am." What else would a blue fluffy dragon be here for? Well, except to encourage Ravenclaw spirit... Hugs were totally a part of that though. House unity and friendship was important above all else.
"You want one?" he asked, opening his arms wide, ready to engulf her in a big fluffy hug if she did. "I'm a big friendly dragon, and I give pretty good hugs, even if I do say so myself." He nodded seriously. "Just...watch the wings. They're a little temperamental.."
Well, he HAD charmed them himself. Maybe he should have got Indy to do them, as well as his face paint.
Well, Elliot HAD been trying to enjoy this..the loudness...the obnoxiousness...the utter lack of anything intelligent going on.
Yeah.
But it was sort of...fun. In a weird way. Elliot thought about it like this: She would normally never this. She didn't like it. But since she was completely outside her comfort zone, it was something different. Therefore, interesting. Which somewhere along the line equaled FUN!
And then Max showed up..Merlin. Now Elliot REALLY didn't want to cheer anymore. Not in front of Maxwell! She put on a smirk, though..."No, I'm not..you're right. But hey...we all have to step out our comfort zones sometimes..." Yeah. Only sometimes.
Merlin!
And then a HUGE DRAGON came...well, not a real on. Just a suit...and if he was for Ravenclaw, why did he not dress like an eagle?! Whatever. She chuckled, turning to Max, "You do see that, right? Like I'm not imagining it?" AND. There was Minnie...wearing a badger suit...Merlin. She raised an eyebrow...and looked at Max again..."Well...at least I'm not dressed like that." Because who wanted to be a badger anyways?!

Kurumi was not running late. Not in the traditional sense of the word anyway. Selina had given the seventh year very specific instructions: BRING COOKIES. Not that Kurumi hadn't been planning on it before...but Selina had mentioned big. So...she had had to start over with her initial plans. Not that she had tossed her first batch out. Nope, the carefully iced red and gold cookies were in a box that she had placed an Undetectable Extension Charm on so she could fit them all in.
As for the other, erm, cookie...
*THUD THUD THUD THUD*
Kurumi wobbled in her yellow boots as she made her way over to the rest of her house followed by a larger than life size lion cookie. Selina HAD said big... and this lion cookie put some of those balloons you saw in nonmagical parades to shame. The charms on the cookie were nothing special really. Kurumi had witnessed them as a first year when Cam had performed them at the opening feast on her normal sized lion cookies. Waving her wand a bit to help the giant beast along as it continued to stomp its way, Kurumi wished she had had time to make he be able to roar properly. As it was now, it just pawed at the air occasionally and was able to walk around on command.
*STOMP STOMP STOMP*
By the time Kurumi had arrived her giant cookie's roaring wasn't really needed as the rest of her house was roaring away - not that the added effect wouldn't be appreciated.
Weaving her way through everyone, Kurumi managed to find her way beside Selina and handed her the box of cookies. "Alright, captain...I'm here...and I brought a friend."
Cue a MASSIVE pawing at the air from the giant cookie.

Nothing said school spirit like a pep rally, right? Medea was making her way down to the stadium, eyeing a particular lion-like cookie warily that one of the Gryffindor prefects was bringing down, the smile on her face growing the closer she got. Good Merlin, she could almost hear everyone from all the way up at the castle! If this didn't get people into school spirit or becoming a quidditch fan, than she didn't know what would!
Darn, she should've brought a Hogwarts flag. Something to cheer on all four houses with!
Selina smirked at her boyfriend's logic about the whole November versus bare-chested pride. On a logical standpoint, the seventh year prefect did make a lot of sense. However, Selina was not exactly logical- especially since her beater bat had gone missing- so his argument did not make any sense to her. All she could think about was yelling at all the Gryffindor boys to show their pride in a similar fashion as a few years ago when Carter was Captain. That was an AWESOME Pep Rally. She missed a lot of the people on that team. Especially since, back in the day, it was mostly boys on the team, which always made for a fun time.
So brushing aside what he said, she merely chuckled, "November or not... house pride is forever." In her crazed state of mind, she supposed that her logic made sense. To the average person what she was suggesting was downright ludicrous. The sixth year was just not the most stable person in the world, especially when it came to house support. Selina really was the unofficial mascot for Gryffindor. And it was something that she was rather proud of to be honest.
Then she saw all of her little lions make their way onto the field. She grinned and nodded to each of them as they showed up, "Hey Taggle, Alice, Jake, Penelope, Anya, Ira." That seemed like MOST of the little lions. Although, out of the corner of her eye, she did see Landon and Melanie talking. She waved at them as well, "Hey Melanie, Landon." It seemed like a majority of her team was here, which made her happy. The only one she saw who was missing was Dylan, the ickle first year. Where was he?
Then, she heard all of the ickle lions talking about a shirtless mascot. She smiled at the memory and paused to explain, "Back when Anya's brother was Captain, we had a pep rally. All of the boys on the team, per me and Kurumi's request, went to the pep rally shirtless and we painted their chests red and gold. It was awesome. But me and Kurumi dressed up Gideon in a tail and some cub ears. So he was the shirtless mascot." Just so all of them knew why she was talking about that. It was sort of a random thing to be a continuous part of conversation, so she was just setting the record straight now.
However, she started to hear a very loud thud as all of the Gryffindors, including the adorable one who was handing out the t-shirts, started to mingle amongst themselves. But Selina blatantly ignored ALL of them because Kurumi had arrived. And as much as she loved her best friend, she was more interested in WHAT her best friend had arrived with. It was magical, it was huge, it was A COOKIE!!!!
AHHHHHHHH IT WAS A LIFE SIZED GIANT LION COOKIE THAT MOVED. HOW DID SHE BLOODY DO THAT?!
Selina ran at Kurumi and excitedly embraced the cookie. As she hugged it, she lifted her head away and smiled at Kurumi, "It's perfect. It's so, so, so very perfect." As she snuggled her head back into the cookie, she, in a muffled voice, muttered, "By the way, hi there."
After a few moments, Selina finally pulled away from the huge cookie and gave it one more smile. It was perfect. Just so perfect.
But she had work to do. She ran up the steps so she was overlooking all of the Gryffindors. The redhead pulled out her wand and waved it so a LOUD SONG PUMPED THROUGH THE STADIUM!
She pumped her fist in the air and yelled, "WHO ARE WE FIGHTING FOR?" WHO WERE THEY FIGHTING FOR, LIONS????

Darn, she should've brought a Hogwarts flag. Something to cheer on all four houses with!
Sophia being the inquisitive woman that she is, made her way down to the quidditch pitch after not being able to down out the noise anymore..not that she had tried that hard. She wanted to see the rally she just didn't want to appear like she wanted to.
In any case she was here and it was loud but positively exciting. Maybe it was the only time she would ever not mind the students being so positively raucous. She spotted Medea and made her way over."Well hello Miss Romanos." Haven't seen you since the last run in. She beamed a gloating smile at the woman. The kind that said I got you back ha!.

"Yeah i guess you're right...like me going to classes." Maxwell could feel a shiver down his spine just thinking about how much he disliked potions especially. "But i guess this could be fun..." He said though he thought the opposite.
Maxwell nodded. "Yeah i see it.." He said kinda freaked out. Who shows up as a dragon? non of the houses has a dragon? Then he looked to see the badger and knew who it was instantly by the way she walked. "Yeah...thanks for not showing up like that..." He said knowing Min was underneath that suit.

Indy giggled as she saw her brother. Oh the hutchinson siblings sure had a lot of house pride. Spike looked pretty amazing. It had taken a lot of work to get his curls into that costume. He better have been happy. And his face paint. Well that was just a work of art. Indy was very pleased. Maybe she should've brought some of the face paint out with her, so that she could put paint onto all of the other ravenclaws. That would've been so much fun. "Looking goooooood." She called out at her brother, raising her thumbs, and beaming at him. They had an awesome amount of house pride. She just loved being in ravenclaw. But now, back to the nice chanting that she was going before.
She turned around, and cheered a little, holding her hands by her mouth so to get people to hear her more. "Ravenclaw. Ravenclaw Claw. We're the cool kids. We're Ravenclaw. Everyone wants to be in our house. Our House." Wooooo. Go Claws.

Pep Rally. Its always fun, no? So he definitely can't missed that. Beside its a perfect time to show off his awesome Hufflepuff pom poms.
With pom poms in his hands, Messer headed to the Hogwarts stadium where they held the Pep Rally. He made his way towards the his housemates.
"GO HUFFLEPUFF..!!! GO..!! GO..!!! HUFF...HUFF..HUFF..HUFFLEPUFF..!!!" he cheered and extended his pom poms upward in a V position.
Ohh. Look Oakley brought a megaphone. Cool. "Hey guys!" he greeted his housemates. "I thought you're going to wear your Badger costume again like last term."Yes, he's speaking to you Alec Summers. And then his eyes landed to the blonde girl next to Alec. "Hello, Ella. Do you want to give your Uncle Messer a hug?" he asked opening his arm.

Perhaps she should've arrived earlier. The lack of seating wasn't all that troubling, it was actually trying to find a space to stand that wasn't on the staircase that was the problem. Seriously, how excellent was this!? Alas, she found a spot to squeeze into. Just in time for a certain charms professor to show up.
She didn't particularly have a grudge against the woman, but that beaming smile Sophia had on her face... "Hello Sophia." she smiled in return. A kind and warm smile. One that said that she was over the little fiasco with the hurricane. "Pleasant veather for a pep rally, isn't it?"
