Alice suppressed a smile as the younger girl fussed over her hair. "I'm positive," she said reassuringly to her. .. WHUT. Chop her leg off?! NO WAY! "NO. Calm down. It's just a broken leg.." .. Not a very big deal. Besides the excruciating pain. And the fact that she couldn't move an inch without crying out in pain. "They're not going to hop it off.. right?" She looked at Jake and Kurumi. They were the oldies. They should know.

She tried not to burst out laughing as the younger girl wiggled her bottom. "I hope you're okay, then," she said, laughing lightly. This girl was rather funny. "It's a good think that your bum's not broken. If it was, they might have to chop that off, too."

Wink.



Alice smiled when Anya appeared and started to help James out. She would be helping the boy if she could stand, but that wasn't really possible. So it was a good thing that Anya was helping him out. "Annie? Are you alright?" She wanted to make sure EVERYONE was okay. Especially James, with his pained face and tears. Why was he crying? She didn't like it when he cried. "Don't cry, James-y," she told him reassuringly, reaching out and patting his leg. "People will be here soon to help and then you'll go to the Infirmary and they'll take care of your bruises and cracked ribs. Don't cry." James would be the first one to be fixed. Alice was sure of it. Everyone was gonna be okay. She wanted herself to be okay, too. She hated being hurt. She hated the attention. And having to be so dependent on everyone else. She wasn't exactly used to feeling this helpless and weak.

And she disliked it.



And.. Alice heard a very familiar voice calling her name. "Melanie?" She called out the other voice before spotting her friend. "MEL! I'm over here!" The lioness frantically waved her arms from where she was sitting, leaning to the left and right so that Melanie could see her in the middel of the circle of people that had surrounded her. "Mel. Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Her friend looked pretty unscathed.

GOOD. Her pretty princess could not be hurt. Or Alice would throw a fit.



And then she saw Alec, with bloody, scraped knees and pink hands in the distance. Anya would wanna see that. Alec needed some girl to fuss over him, and ALICE was not gonna do it. So it could be his bestie. "ALEC!" She waved her arms at him from where she was sitting, as well. She couldn't exactly go up to him.. broken leg alert! "You're bleeding! Are you alright?" Those scrapes looked pretty bad, but they could be healed with a flick of her wand. But her wand was in her pocket, and she'd have to readjust her leg to reach it. Which would be painful. So she decided not to and let Kurumi or Anya handle Alec's healing job.



And then someone shouted out for students with serious injuries to head over to him. "Does a broken leg count as serious?" Alice asked Kurumi. She wasn't sure. She didn't think it was serious. She was still breathing. Therefore, she was okay.. right? "Do I have to go over to him?! I.. I don't wanna get the 'treatment' Headmistress Redhead was talking about." She didn't want to be dissected before she got to spend another year at Hogwarts! No, sirreee. "And how am I supposed to get over there, anyways? I can't move." She could crawl.

Laura was glad to be off the train at last, she had been really upset after her boyfriend Oakey had stormed off, and she hadn't really been herself since though she was sure she would sort it out later with him but for now she was giving him time and space and well she had no idea what to do now, she really wished she knew where her friends where but well at the minute she had no clue and so she just stood wondering if too try and make a few more friends or see if she could find her friends.

Bliss was panicked now, all the possibilities flying through her head. She shook it, just as someone tapped her on the shoulder. She spun round too quickly and had to fight to keep her balance before answering the older girl. "Urmm..I think I broke my wrist," she said holding her wrist out in front of her so that the girl could see. If she wanted to see. After all, her wrist had gone a strange purple colour and was swollen to almost twice it's size. Not the prettiest of sights.

Looking from the groundkeeper as she heard someone calling her name, a wide smile spread across her face even before she saw the face to which the voice belonged.

She didn't need to see the face. "ARI!!" She squealed. Her friend got up but didn't remove her hand from the dog. She must have gotten stuck watching a pet too. What was with people and thinking that all they would ever be good for is watching pets??? They could be of more use if they had a chance...maybe.

When Ari asked if she was hurt she shook her head while slowing starting to rotate her wrist again. She had probably dislocated it during the fall but there was no need to worry her friend. She looked over at Dylan to see if he was hurt. Hopefully he was fine and it seemed that Ari, herself, was pretty good.

Her face lit up. "Yeah it was pretty fun!!--except the portkey part...that I didn't like at all..." She wouldn't even pretend that that part was fun.

James couldn't help it. At hearing Alice telling him NOT to cry, he cried harder onto Anya's shoulder, and his sobbing, made him cry even more from pain. "B-b-but it...it h-h-hurts" he sobbed to Alice.

At hearing the Groundskeeper, he hiccuped and looked up. "D-d-does a possibly b-broken arm and p-p-possibly cracked ribs c-count...?" he asked, his breathing fast and shallow, making his ribs even worse.

At hearing a thump near him, he looked over and saw Alec. "Alec! Are....y-you...Are you o-o-okay?" he asked painfully, holding his ribs tighter.

THUD.

A very angry Adam swore under his breath as his leg gave out from the fall. He gave a quick glance around for Ameliah but only found Ronnie. "Heya, Rons," he said as he limped over to his fellow fifth year.

OUCH. OUCH. AND MORE OUCH.

"Nice to meet you too." he replied, still with that easy smile of his even though the platform was becoming more chaotic by the second. Sebastian let go of Pepper's lead and handed it over to the young girl. And he noticed her little shiver. He gave his wand a small flick and sent a warming charm in her direction.

Sebastian blinked down at the young girl and had to laugh. She was right. he hadn't given out his name. "Pleasure to meet you Alexa. You can call me Mr Gibbins." Just in case she was thinking of calling him groundskeeper.

They were so timid looking. He supposed that it was all a bit daunting and they hadn't exactly arrived in the best of fashions. Sebastian inclined his head at the two boys and gave them an encouraging smile. "You boys alright there?"

Ameliah landed, it seemed, a bit better off than others. There was even some fourth year crying. Standing up, she dusted herself of. "That was FUN!" She grinned. Wait. Not grin. She saw Adam with a probably broken ankle. "ADAM! Are you alright?" Rushing over, she stuck herself under his arm to help him walk all the way back to Ronnie. "Heyy you two!"

Ronnie watched as Adam limped over to her. "Adam!" she exclaimed. Oh no! Hopefully his leg was okay...she hated to see him limp like that! She ran over to him and put her arm around him to support him so he wouldn't fall or anything. "Are you alright?" she asked, concern on her face.

"Helloooo." Ronnie said with a weak smile. Meh. Her head was really bugging her. She had really hit that thing hard when the train stopped. "Are you okay? You hurt at all?" she asked worriedly. She hoped she was okay, because she had seen so many students with broken thises and broken thatses and it was making her SICK. She hated to see people hurt.

"No I'm not dizzy or nauseus thankfully." He said while putting his hand on the cloth which the prefect put on. Then he noticed three more come along. Ok people two is enough, but fours a crowd! He thought in frustration. He glanced down at his cat to see that it had a minor cut on it. Though that wasn't bleeding, because it was more of just a scrape then an actuall cut. After that he turned back to his chest, and opened it with his elbow. From inside he grabbed a piece of muggle tape ,his wand, and a charmed box with a dent at the top that looked like something was missing from it.

He set the box down on his lap gently. Next he applied the muggle tape to the piece of cloth then set it back down on the cut. After that he grabbed his wand with his now free hand, and tapped the box three times. A secret compartment on the top slid open to reveal a gem. Then he ook out the gem, and put it in the dent at the top. He turned it counter-clockwise 45 degrees. Yet again another secret compartment was revealed, but this time instead of sliding open it popped up, and turned ninety degrees. Inside that secret compartment was a necklace. On the necklace were two rings with the names Aaron and Mary on it. He put it around his neck, and started to twirl it around.

Ari took the leash and scratched Pepper behind the ear, when suddenly warm flooded her body. She looked up and noticed that Mr. Gibbins had his wand out and she assumed he had cast a spell to warm her up and she smiled gratefuly at him before allowing the groundskeeper to check on the other students.

Ari was startled a bit when she heard Alexa shout her name and came up to her but smiled brightly, glad to see her friend. Neither of them looked hurt at all which was a good thing! It would suck to have anything broken before the sorting ceremony.

"Yeah, that was kind of a pain... I landed on my bum..." Ari said cringing at the painful memory... Then she remembered Pepper, "Oh! This is Pepper, he's Mr. Gibbins's dog!"

"I still think King's Cross was crazy. No one has threatened me bodily harm over a bat yet," Genevieve crouched and picked up the cat, offering it to Hasty and Lex. Someone? Cat duty?

"I suppose if you can just staunch the bleeding, it'll hold him until he gets to the castle." That was best, considering she doubted any students had Healer training. Not proper training, at least.

But she could have been so much help, plus, "Felix gets pretty jealous when I take care of other animals--he'd make sure the things disappears--...I don't think you should leave me incharge of the cat so you should let me do something more important useful."

She knew that she should get it checked but she knew there were people out there who were in more need of help. UGH. This was turning out to be the worst day of her life.

She frowned when she heard someone yell out for the first years. "I think you should head over to the.. Groundskeeper. I'll keep an eye on the cat."

So then neither of them was going to take the cat? Vivi rolled her eyes and tucked the cat inside the front of her robes. Poor thing wasn't going to get away unless it clawed its way out. Which would hurt and might result in one of them dying.

"Lex, you probably ought to..." But girl had already taken the cue and was heading over with the other first years. So they were down to two. And Gideon.

"I'll help you get him to the carriage, I guess." She gave Hasty a shake of the head to indicate she was not super pleased with getting blood splattered on her first day, and she caught the motion as the girl put her hand to her head.

"You hurt, Hasty? Come sit by me before you fall over." Her tone was all bossy business, but she indicated the spot next to her on the ground. It wasn't clean, but at least it couldn't move out from under her if she was hurt more badly than she thought.

Dylan smiled as Ariella greeted both him and Alexa, as Alexa squealed Ariella's name "Hey Ariella.. Hey Alexa" he smiled as he walked to them both "Yeah we made it.. no I aint too badly hurt.. just very very bruised and sore.. its going to take a while to be pain free!" did they HAVE to do that? now he was in pain and that could mean that he wouldn't be able to do some things that he wanted to do. No.. no matter what he would have all the fun he could.. pain or no pain.

He watched Alexa move her wrist around.. "You two seem to be ok.. you hurt your wrist Lex?" he asked her watching her rotate her wrists. He then heard Ariella asking if it was fun.. he listened to Alexa and nodded "Yeah it was fun.. flying through the air and then landing on this hard here ground" he chuckled a little "But I think I need more portkey practice.. I will see if I can get my dad to give me some. So that if I have to do this again.. I will be a professional at landing" he smiled a little.. he looked at the dog. It was kinda cool.. he just better know not to mess with Dylan.

MERLIN. Adam gave a small "Oof" as his arm was suddenly around Ameliah. "Oh. Hey." He blushed a little as he realized his situation here and hoped Ameliah wouldn't see it. "Are YOU alright?" he asked quickly.

Wow.

Now Adam had two girls all up on him and fussing. AWKS. But these two were alright, they were just being really friendly and helpful. "Not really. Damn Portkey made me twist my ankle." He tested it gingerly, but winced horribly. "Might take a while before it's better. But what about you? You weren't looking too pretty just now." Poor Ronnie was about to puke before the sight of Adam made her rush.

:: Ganymede jumped off the train and quickly got out of the way of the students pouring from the train after her. The platform looked busy and she wondered if pickpockets were afoot. She squeezed her purple messenger bag closer to her side. Being a first year was nerve-wracking. She wasn't sure who she could trust and being crammed into a boat was not how she wanted to spend her first day at School.

She bumped into some kids that were also making their own way to the boats. "Ehagds! Wotch it!" She jabbed with her nastiest tone. ::

Ameliah gave Adam a small "no problem" smile. QUICK HEAD COUNT. Mel was still in her pocket. Levrell (her handsome brown owl) had just perched on her shoulder.

BUT WHERE WAS DWAAAALINN??

Her black cat suddenly appeared at her feet. PHEW.

Ameliah was suddenly asked if SHE was alright. "I'm fine! It was actually pretty fun!" She smiled brightly as she scratched her kitten behind the ears.

Ronnie frowned. "Do you need to see a grown up or something?" she asked, glancing around. It looked like it hurt pretty bad by the way he winced. Poooor guyyy.

Ronnie laughed. "I...just...bleh. I feel sick to my stomach." she said. She really hoped she didn't throw up in front of Adam and Ameliah. Or anyone, really. That'd be so embarrassing! "And plus, my head hurts really bad! When the train stopped, I fell out of my seat and banged my head on the floor." she added with a big sigh. Hmph. She was pretty grumpy right now. SHE NEEDED A HUG. NOW.

"Well that's good." Ronnie said with a nod, glad Ameliah was fine.

Zarifa moved with the crowd, making sure she didn't follow the first years. Due to her being here for the first time she was kind of embarrassed to ask for directions on what to do..""Why didn't my parents give me any kind of information" she thought.

Oh Merlin, why had she gone to help this ickle? She wasn't great with little kids. She glanced at the girl's wrist... yes. That was a break. "Erm - We should find the healer or someone... they'll be able to heal it." What? She wasn't going to try to heal it herself. She'd probably turn this ickle's arm into a fish.

"I'm Glenn..." She said, looking around for any sign of the healer. She wouldn't mind getting her cat scratch (Which actually hurt A LOT. Okay?) healed as well, "When I was younger, I'd climb the trees where I live and fall a lot, I've probably broken my wrist a dozen times." That wasn't even exaggerating, good thing her brother could heal stuff. Her mother would have gone mad otherwise.

:: Ganymede face palmed her forehead as she peered around the platform looking for other first years. There were students everywhere, tripping and aimlessly walking, at least it seemed that way. Circus music sounded in her head and the idea of throwing dung bombs crossed her mind. Instead, she sought out the shortest ones hoping that short = first year. ::

Ariella smiled brightly as Dylan came over and reported to them that he was alright! "Well that's good!" But Ari hadn't noticed Alexa's wrist and looked at her concerned "You sure your okay Lex?"

Ari giggled as Dylan joked around to them about the portkeys and their less than desired landings.

Sierra blinked when she felt Kennedy brush something off her shoulder. It was a small indication of how far they'd come with getting closer to one another. "I guess so," she said with a shrug. "I knew I should have just walked to school. I'm right back where I started from, after all." She looked down the road that led to her house. Her father would fly off the handle if he knew something had gone wrong with the train while she'd been on board. "My parents make me ride, since I'm a prefect," she said, "...and, I like to ride to see certain people." Even if those certain people like to sleep a lot.

Then she felt his fingers lace through hers, and she gave his hand a gentle squeeze before turning them in the direction of the carriages and tugging at him to come along. "Some nap," she jokingly said. "Well, everything was alright until the lights started flashing on and off. Then the train came to a screeching halt, and things started flying everywhere." She shrugged again. "Come on. Let's get a carriage together before all the good seats are taken."

She felt a whole lot better when the man--oh, Mr. Gibbins--started laughing. It was a welcomed changed from the terrifying redhead who was to be the new Headmistress. That woman was scary and she had a mean grip....she could still sorta feel her hands on her shoulder. O____O

For once her mouth didn't get her into trouble! "Oh well it's nice to meet you too!" She was breaking her own rule by telling him this seeing as she usually didn't tell someone that until she was actually sure that it was a pleasure meeting them. "Is there really a moster in the lake?" She had almost forgotten about that but he was the ground's keeper and meeting him only served to remind he of that.

Her big brown eyes looked up at him curiously.

"Ugh, yeah I landed on my bum too but I was trying so hard to protect Felix that I think my wrist might have taken a good hit too." And now the little guy knew how much she loved him so hopefully he would stop trying to get her in trouble!

"Awwww!!!!" She said, gushing over the dog. "He's just so cuuuute!!!!" She heard Felix hissing and turned to him immediately; they were not going to go through this again. "Listen here mister, Pepper is a dog, you are not so you two cannot be compared on the same scale now stop being so jealous." She scolded before he could get any ideas.

She looked over at Dylan when he asked if her wrist was alright. Was it that obvious? "Uh yeah it's fine." She tried. Technically there was nothing gravely wrong with it so a fuss didn't need to be made about it.

Lex was glad when the conversation changed. "I know!" She agreed completely. "Vivi didn't even look dizzy when she appeared and she didn't fall either!" She said, recalling how just a little earlier her older friend had appeared with very little difficulty. She definitely wanted to learn to use a portkey like that one day...

This was so weird but he had not time to think about what had happened to the train. He had to make sure to get all the first years together and to the castle. And to make sure everyone else was alright.


"First years over to the Groundskeeper please. Which is me." Just in case they didn't get that. Or somehow hadn't manage to see the sign.

"Prefects please make sure all students are accounted for. Attend to those who seem to have minor injuries. Anyone suffering anything serious, bring them to me." Hopefully they weren't too serious. He knew enough healing to get by but not enough to really be effective.

She reached over and gave the girl a careful hug, so as not to hurt her wrist. She then turned to Abby. "That goes for you to." She said, giving her a wide grin then a hug.

And now she would have to join the first years. She gave the both a final wave before grabbing Felix with her still functional hand and walking over to the Grounddkeeper.

"Hello. I would have come over sooner but it seemed you didn't have a name until just now." Which was the truth seeing as the older boy who instructed her to go over to him didn't know his name. "I'm Alexa." BEAM.

Geez...he was asking her to WATCH it, she didn't have to pick it up if she thought her cat was gonna get jealous. And than her remark about getting a more useful job. Sigh. Kids these days. Hearing an older male voice call for first years to come to him and prefects to take charge of things, he looked to see a man...the new groundskeeper by his own words.

Right...he...prefect...already doing what he could.

Gert...ease up on the temper, he berated himself. Cool head.

The other, older girl with Genevieve was nice though, maybe not the best with blood but not everyone was. And she stood up with his instructions even agreeing to look after the cat. There. That wasn't so hard. They both obviously knew each other though as she told the younger...Alexa to head over to the groundskeeper. Ah...a firstie the first one was. So okay she's still unsure of herself. "Aye probably best," Gideon replied in agreement watching the girl disappear.

Yet again another secret compartment was revealed, but this time instead of sliding open it popped up, and turned ninety degrees. Inside that secret compartment was a necklace. On the necklace were two rings with the names Aaron and Mary on it. He put it around his neck, and started to twirl it around.

So then neither of them was going to take the cat? Vivi rolled her eyes and tucked the cat inside the front of her robes. Poor thing wasn't going to get away unless it clawed its way out. Which would hurt and might result in one of them dying.

"Lex, you probably ought to..." But girl had already taken the cue and was heading over with the other first years. So they were down to two. And Gideon.

"I'll help you get him to the carriage, I guess." She gave Hasty a shake of the head to indicate she was not super pleased with getting blood splattered on her first day, and she caught the motion as the girl put her hand to her head.

"You hurt, Hasty? Come sit by me before you fall over." Her tone was all bossy business, but she indicated the spot next to her on the ground. It wasn't clean, but at least it couldn't move out from under her if she was hurt more badly than she thought.



"Quit moving around," Vivi ordered the kid sternly, with a pointed finger. "Aren't you bleeding or concussed or something serious?" Because if not, why the HECK was he on the ground?

She gave Gert an eye. Deal with the kid. Do it.

That was until his injured charge spoke up finally. "That is good," he remarked giving a small polite smile. Didn't seem like his injury was terribly bad though he still wasn't a healer of any sort. Gideon watched the boy work with some tape and attach the cloth to his head. He could have done that...well with a non-permenant sticking charm, just wasn't sure it was secure enough. Now the seventh year hoped he wasn't around when the make-shift bandage was taken off, it was gonna hurt either from pulling of skin or hair.

When the fiddling changed to involving a box in his chest with a secret compartment and jewels and necklaces and such, Gideon couldn't help but raise an eyebrow though. Just what was going on here? The older boy shook his head and turned back to Genevieve as she agreeded with his treatment of the injured area. Now a sane young woman she appeared to be at least in the short time he had known her. And President Branxton hadn't said anything odd. She picked up the cat however and the prefect just hoped his fellow seventh year didn't get scratched up dealing with a possibly scared kitty.

"Aye...we should probably head up then. Might be better to see and deal with things inside the castle." Gideon offered the younger man a hand so he could get back up to his feet.

OUCH. Abby made a face when the kid hugged her. She didn't like hugs. But, she managed to pat the girl awkwardly on the shoulder. "See you around."

And.. Genie asked if she was hurt. "I don't know. I banged my head against the window when the train came to a halt and.. I have a small bump on the head. It's nothing serious though." At least, she hoped not. "Genie, I am NOT sitting down. It's gross." She'd rather stay dizzy and nauseous rather than get her clothes dirty.

Wait, WHAT!? Did the boy just say that he wasn't hurt? Um. What was all the fuss about then? Heh. Abby sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. She kind of wanted to just sit down and relax but the ground was so dirty. EW.
