Chooooo choooo! The Hogwarts Express has arrived at last (or has it???). Either way, you're almost to Hogwarts, so get off the train and get going to the school!
First years, follow the groundskeeper to the lake. Second years and up, go for the horseless (thestral-led) carriages. Don't forget anything on the train, because you won't see it for another 9 months!
His eyes went back to her when he felt her kiss on his cheek. Her Edmund? He liked that! Wait, what was she talking about? A frown crossed his face which mixed with worry and created a look of deep concern. "No one tried to take me, Nell. I'm right here." She was slurring, that was bad, right?
He just stared at her shocked when she wriggled out of his arms - what, didn't she want to be there? When she vomited, he pulled a face. "Well that's one way of greeting a new school year." he muttered as he crouched down next to her and lifted her head gently. "Nell, talk to me. Keep talking to me, okay?" He knew one thing and that was not to let her sleep.
"Can I get some help?" he called out, hoping someone would look her over and make her feel better.
No one tried top take me, Nell.
She frowned at him. Hadn't he seen the awful troll in the pink confection? With her blonde hair and blue eyes and perfect figure? Well..she wasn't going to steal her man! No sir. Nell wave a finger at him. "I may not be blond and beautiful but I won't have some prissy blond princess trying to take my man!" She giggled at her own finger and wave it some more.
Sleep....sleep was good....sleep would make everything better....
A frowned crossed her face as she was rolled over and told to talk. The world tilted a bit and she grabbed onto Edmund to keep from sliding off the Earth. "You want me to talk? Fine. I think you should ask me out cause if not some girl who's prettier then me will!" Wait...that wasn't right....why was it so hard to form a single thought. Her hand went to her head and she grunted in frustration. "A prettier girl will catch you..." She mumbled.
His yell for help echoed around in her skull. What were the words trying to play ping pong in there? "Stop yelling." She whimpered.
"Ooohhh..." And that was just as understandable as the train ruining it. This actually gave her a bit more hope. She was beginning to think that just maybe her stuff hadn't been destroyed; even better.
Lex let out a laugh when the girl mentioned throwing her her dinner plate through the window. Oddly enough that sounded exactly like something she would have done. It was certainly a very logical thing to do and well..everyone would have done the same thing...right? So then this girl wasn't half bad and maybe it would end up being a pleasure to meet her.
Lex's face lit up at the mention of a broom and flying. "I knooooow!!! It's so unfair that first years can't have their own brooms but that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to Flying classes--it's going to be so cool in the air! Plus it will help me get better for Quidditch." Yeah she wanted to try out for the team...but only when she got a little better. "Do you think you'll try out for you team--what house do you wanna be in by the way?"
:: Ganymede gave Lex a very serious look and simply stated, "Slytherin." She didn't want to ask Lex what house she would want to be in, because Ganymede didn't care to know.
"I would like to try out. Take Slytherin to Victory!" The last part was said with great enthusiasm. Ganymede's family were mostly Slytherins and they even had the decor in their living room silver and green. She only knew two relatives who ended up as Gryffindors on her Mother's side.
"I suppose Gryffindor would be my second choice." She shrugged at the thought, as though it was just something she'd settle on. ::

"Carriages??" Alexa's eyes grew with nerves, first a train that breaks down, then a crazy portkey, and now carriages...What will happen on the carriages so far this place was feeling more like a roller coaster then a school. "Well..if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind sharing a carriage with someone who knows what's going on." She looked around again, "What do your friends look like, maybe I can help find them. Oh I'm Alexa by the way." Did she say her name yet, Alexa couldn't remember...
"Yeah I am." He was like THE second year, right? "Yeah carriages, they're pulled by thestrals. Probably you can't see them." Which was probably good.
And where was Aspen? He looked around for his sister.
"My friends?" What did they LOOK like? "They look.... cool. But short. Most of them are short." And West had had a growth spurt during the summer, and last measured at 5'3 which wasn't too bad for a twelve year old.
He pulled a chocolate frog out of his pocket and opened it.

Slytherin? Lex made a face when the girl quite seriously said that she wanted to be in Slytherin. Sure she had contemplated that house once or twice but never as a first choice. Her father had been a Slytherin but that didn't make the house anymore desirable. "Well, why would you want to be placed their? It's almost as bad as being placed in Hufflepuff!" To her anyway. Her two choices were Ravenclaw and Gryffindor and she had a feeling that she would get at least one of them.
She nodded over at her with her ambitious plan to lead the house to victory. "I see...but I heard they haven't been winning Quidditch." Luckily she had a friend who had been coming here to tell her all this. "If you really want to win Quidditch with your team then you have to be in Hufflepuff...or at least that's what they say." Lex shrugged. It really didn't matter very much to her. They could have been reigning champions for centuries, she still didn't want to be a puff.

"But I don't like it here either. There are too many people crying. I hate crying," she told him earnestly as she began looking at all the other people. She should attempt to comfort someone. But that required moving. Moving wasn't good. She should just stand here leaning on Isaac.
"Oh, well it's a cute kitty whatever its name is. I want a kitty," Amelia decided. Maybe she could get Isaac to get her one for Christmas or something. She'd be an amazing mother to a kitty. Ahhuh.
"Dyou think so? But I don't like the carriages either. They'd be warm right?" she questioned as Isaac let go of her and rushed off to help another girl. Why was Isaac always rushing off to other girls? It was enough to make her think she was right earlier when she joked about being a bad girlfriend. Except she knew he was just a nice guy, and apparently knew the girl. She still didn't like it though.
Amelia dropped slowly to the ground, wrapping her arms around herself. It was way too cold with Isaac gone and she began to shiver uncontrollably. She wanted to be somewhere warm now please.
Stretching her leg out she prodded at her ankle, surprised to find it hurt. And now that she thought about it the back of her head hurt too. Raising her hand to the back of her head she felt wet. Pulling her hand back she spotted blood. Maybe she had hit her head afterall?
Hopefully Isaac would come back soon. She missed him. He could stop her feeling sad and cold. He made lots of things better. She could walk to him but that would take too much effort. She didn't think she could get up again.

"I TOLD you I'd beat the pink princess!" She frowned. "Try to take my man will she?" She mumbled her speech starting to slur.
Her head lolled over onto Ed's shoulder jarring it and she saw stars. Nell groaned managing to scramble out of Edmund's arms and over to the edge of the platform where she was promptly sick all over again. Merlin but she was sleepy! Her body felt like it weighed 100 pounds so she lowered it to the ground and cradled her head in her arm.
Maybe if she slept she'd feel better? Sleeeeppppp........

Utterly confused, but mostly okay, Edmund landed skillfully on the platform and immediately set about trying to find Nell. She'd been hit pretty bad, but he'd managed to get her to a portkey and help a couple of stragglers before getting told off by the red-headed woman and forced to leave.
He whipped around when he heard his friend's raised voice. Ooops! In trouble! He weaved through the people and skidded to a stop in front of Isaac who was carrying Nell. "Oh my! Nell! Are you okay?!" He instantly started fussing over her. "She got hit by the trunks when the train stopped!" He gave Isaac a grateful look as he took her from him. "Thanks mate, sorry it took a while. Uhm, where's the girl you were with earlier?" He glanced around, trying to make sure she was okay - it seemed like they were close. "Are you hurt?" his eyes sweeped quickly over his friend to check he was okay.
And where was the healer?!
This wasn't how he'd pictured his one and only Hogwarts year starting, with his girlfriend Nell unwell in his arms and a bunch of injured, confused and concerned kids and adults.
FINALLY! Letting Ed take her from his arms, "Don't let her go te sleep, Ed. She's pretty out of it." his worry showed in his eyes. "She needs a healer real badly." Looking back towards where he'd left her he winced, "she's back there I had te let her stay there she hurt her ankle, but Nell looked a lot worse. so I had te come." Biting his lip he didn't see her, and turned back to Ed. "Get her te a carriage and if I'm not there right away ye go on, I'll find ye."
His eyes were still wide especially when Nell said she'd beaten the pink princess. "Yes, yes ye did." Erm, okay then...
Turning with one last glance at Ed and Nell he ran back towards where he'd left Amelia. Seeing her on the ground, he dropped down beside her. "Amelia are ye..." Looking down at her hand that had blood on it, he bit hit lip HARD because that was the one thing he really couldn't handle. The pain in his tongue now after he felt like he bit it off, he swallowed. "Yer hurt." YEP don't look at her hand...nor where the heck she found the blood. WHERE THE HECK WAS IT???
"Can ye get te yer feet?" he asked "If I help ye?" Then he'd pick her up but it was going to be hard if she was on the ground when he tried to lift her! JUST DON'T TOUCH ME OR SHOW ME THAT BLOOD!!!

West overheard a few THINGS that made him turn his attention to a obvious first year.
THINGS.
Things like 'haven't been winning Quidditch'.
and
'have to be in Hufflepuff.'

"Um...what I can do is conjure a bandage to help keep your jaw stable until we get to Hogwarts and see the Healer," Kurumi offered, eyes on the girl who was not holding the ice pack.
As for the other one..."Here, um, I think...what might be best...is that we just get you to a carriage and off to school... so, if you want, you can use my shoulder for support..." Seeing as she was having a hard time breathing with bruised or even cracked. GAH...more broken things. "...and I'll help you both get in and then we can head off to Hogwarts."
Sound like a plan?
It was that bad?!?! That she had to see the healer?! She made a mental note to try to avoid portkeys, if she could. This was scary. How could they just break everybody up?! It didn't seem like it could. I mean, how could just one thing easily break arms, legs, noses, jaws, and make people throw up?! Well, part of it was the train coming to an abrupt stop, but that was only half of it. She had a feeling that the feast might not be the most joyous event.
Cardigan nodded a little, confirming what Kurumi had said. They would get into a carriage with her and then be off to Hogwarts. Right. It would be good to have her jaw stable, keeping it from being any further injured. She wouldn't want anyone creating a whole big fuss about nothing but a broken jaw. A little attention? Good. A lot of attention? Not so much. Things could get crazy, and further damaged. Not fun. Not at all.

In all the commotion she could have sworn that she heard a noise...a faint noise but a noise anyway. Turning just a bit she caught a boy glaring at her. She raised an eyebrow at him. Had he just...scoffed at her...?
No, that couldn't have been it because she hadn't done anything wrong; yet.
Lex turned fully so she could face him. This was needed for her to size him up properly. Hmm...he didn't look much older than her...wasn't much taller either...probably didn't weigh much more; he would be easy enough to tackle to the floor if he got rude. Yup.
"Did I say something wrong?" She challenged. Lex could hardly remember her last sentence so she had no idea how it might have had anything to do with this boy.

"Never said I was taking it out in flesh, Gert. Calm down." Considering Vivi was a little bit of a thing and her occasional penchant for violence an unknown factor... she wasn't sure why he'd assume she wanted payment in pain.
Being owed a favor was so much better. "But I'll check in with Selina if you're worried. For now... why don't you help the faker, because Hasty here needs assistance as well." And she was very put out with the kid with the box and the cat.
"If you feel like singing, I have to warn you... Hasty here doesn't have much patience for songsters." She indicated Abby, who had not enjoyed Addy's singing on the train. "Perhaps we can dance off into the sunset next time. Will you give me a hand getting Hasty to the carriages?"
"Of course you have pretty hair, you idiot," Vivi rolled her eyes playfully. They were awesome, if occasionally silly.
Vivi bounced to her feet and offered a hand up to the girl. Yes, she'd just made Hasty sit down, and now it was time to get up again. "Let's get to the carriages. Do you know the direction? This... Slytherin kid is going to help us."
Because he hadn't offered his name. She looked around Hasty and said, "I'm Genevieve, and this is Abby. Can you give us a hand?"
Before she could help Hasty to the carriages, she was TOLD OFF by the faker!puff. What? WHAT? First... it wasn't very often she got lip back, and it made Vivi twirl the end of her ponytail furiously and consider the myriad of ways to help the boy actually feel pain. Second, president's daughter?!?!?! How did he even KNOW that? She'd been so good about not telling a soul.
He was gone, though, and Vivi lowered her face and offered an arm to Hasty without comment.
"Thanks. You have pretty hair too." Oh, great. They were leaving. Abby took Genie's offered hand and jumped up.. which was a mistake because the sudden movement was making her head spin. She closed her eyes for a moment and waited for the spinning to stop. Maybe this injury was even worse that she thought. Siiigh.
"Lets go." Because she really didn't want to stay in this crowded nightmare longer than necessary. She eyed the boy who was going to help them get to the carriages. "If you're going to sing, I'm sure we can find someone else to help us." Because she was not going to tolerate any more singing today.
Abby stared after the boy. "What's he so upset about? He was the one who was wasting your time by faking his injury." And, President's daughter? Hm. That was going to have to wait for later though. Right now, Abby was more concerned about her health.

Paaause. "And Hufflepuff were third overall last year. We beat them TWICE."
Just so that she knew. "And now you know."

"And who said you had to be blonde to be beautiful?" he asked softly, gazing down at her as she acted strangely. "You're beautiful to me, so don't worry about this blonde princess you're talking about." Of course he was confused as to which princess was trying to steal him, but it was kind of cute to hear her speaking like that.

Turning her glazed gaze up to Ed's face and smiled. He liked her and her not blond hair! Wait....he had asked her out? A vague memory swam up but slipped from her grasp. It was like trying to grab a fish with her bare hands. Nell gave up trying. It made her head hurt and nausea welled up again though she didnt think she had anything left in her stomach to eject.
"Sorry." She mumbled. Her hand went to her head again. "I dont think Im myself right now."

Was it just him or was the Slytherin waaaay to happy as he talked to Genevieve about what was going on. If so Gideon couldn't wait until quidditch to wipe his smirky expression away. His head tilting as his fellow seventh year told him to calm down...the boy shaking his head head to push it all away. There were other things to do and leaving was one of them, the seventh year nodding at the Hufflepuff girl who suggested it when he came back into the fold. "Aye...I think we will be doing just that." Though an idea came to mind as Genevieve suggested roles to each of them.
"However I think Dylan here..." he thought that was his name since Selina would have met him in person with captainy things. "...should go after that boy," Gideon suggested pointing off to the younger huffie, Nate, that had stalked off from them after Genevieve's comments. Presiden't daughter...how did he know that?! Perhaps the captain dealing with him will make him think twice about being so uppy about him being spoken to himself. While he himself helped with the girl....Abby was it.
Seventh Year Prefect trumped fifth year captain...right?
Gideon moved over closer to the two girls and offered Abby his shoulder, leaning down a little so he wasn't so high. "And my name's Gideon. Whenever yer settled, we'll move and be school-bound."

"Sorry." She mumbled. Her hand went to her head again. "I dont think Im myself right now."

Louisa frowned in concern and jogged over to them, "Oh my gosh, what's happened?" She knelt before them, staring intently at the girl's face and then up at the boy's. "She's from Ravenclaw, right? Penelope? I know her!" Her voice suddenly quivering just a little from the tension of the situation.
She didn't want one of her housemates to die! On her watch!
No kidding! He gazed at her helplessly for a moment, trying to work out what to say. But thankfully someone else had come over to help. "Uhh, she got hit by the trunks when the train stopped and ever since she's just been... strange." Yes, that was a good way to describe someone who was threatening a non-existent blonde haired princess who had supposedly kidnapped him. Mhmm.
"Yeah, Ravenclaw, Penelope Lockwood. She prefers Nell though." Oh, SHE KNEW HER? "Brilliant! You can help me then? I think she needs to go see the healer. She's been uh.. throwing up." Edmund wrinkled his nose and stowed his wand once more. "I just don't know where to go."
It suddenly crossed his mind he should know the name of this girl. "What's your name?"
"No...I'm not upset with you at all, Presley..." she grumbled. "I'm just annoyed...i don't really like port keys..." she told her friend. Why did Presley think she was upset with her? "Trust me. You would KNOW if I was mad at you," she snickered.
WHich was true.
Because Elliot had a temper, and she would tell Presley t0 her FACE if she was upset with her. She smirked. "I just don't know what's going on...how have you been?"
Because it felt like they hadnt spoken in FOREVER!
Presley breathed a silent sigh of relief at Elliot's assurance that she wasn't upset. To be honest, the Morganzo girl was probably the only one who wasn't mad at Presley. What was going on? Didn't she know? "I'm assuming you heard about all of my family problems?"
It had been in the news lately. Presley no longer living with her father, her brother turning her away. Presley now lived with her muggle aunt, and hated it. "And you know it's my birthday today?" September first. "Leo didn't even, I mean...God I sound like such a blithering idiot. The point is, Leo didn't come see me off at the platform. And my father didn't send a card."
Presley would never admit it, but right now what she wanted most was for her father to forgive her, and for Leo to forgive her. But she was a Black, she couldn't step back and let them win. It would never happen. She was to proud to go and ask for forgiveness, and her family was too proud to back down and let her be right.

Listening to her dialogue with Gilly just made Dylan roll his eyes. He didn't really understand the concept of having to ask for permission...Especially from a girl. Scary Selina must have a tight leash on the GryffinBoy...for him to be thinking about THAT now.
Focusing on what the girl was saying, he made a face. Was he actually being asked to...put his hands on this girl? Or were they using magic? "Sure." Because...he didn't want her telling him off.
*blinnnnk*
What an incredibly rude little Puffer-Boy. Giving him a mean look, the Captain offhandly heard the Prefect mentioning his name. He thought Dylan...what?"Actually Gilly...I think as a Prefect, YOU should go after him...Unless you think you won't be able handle..."
Yes. He HAD just suggested that.
Moving a bit closer to the two girls and giving Gilly a look, he smirked. "I'm going to help these ladies...and let the Prefect handle the mouthy little boy...because really, it's not Quidditch related." So, really.
Seventh Year Prefect does NOT trump Fifth Year Captain.
"My name's Dylan, by the way..." He'd forgotten to mention as much before.

MORE THINGS BROKEN?! Oh Merlin...this really was like the Second Wizarding War...or at least what she had read about from student accounts as to what had happened. "A broken jaw?!" Kurumi gasped softly, turning to the other girl. Kurumi really didn't have any sort of knowledge about that or any experience working with that sort of thing, but the ice should help the swelling a little.
Ariana Nodded "that sounds great, Thank you." she said as she winced a bit when she took a deep breath

Not fun. Not at all.
"You'll be okay Cardigan, I'll look for you in the common room tonight make sure your ok, if not i'll head down to the hospital wing and see if your there." she saiad knowing they'd part when they got to school
Laura looked around when she heard her name and smiled when she saw who it was. "Emmaleigh." Laura walked over to her new friend. "How are you?" Laura really had no idea what to do now, she really was upset that Oakey was mad with her and she hadn't seen her friends for ages, she had no idea where Anya, Carigan, Sophie and Ella had gone and she hadn't seen Zhenya for ages.
The older girl nodded. "I'm Okay, A little shaken and sore from a poor portkey landing, but I'm fine." She looked the girl over. Laura didn't look any worse for the wear. "How about you, are you alright? Did you notice anything weird on the train, besides the lights and stopping I mean." What Em really wanted to know was if the girl had seen something in the middle of the train that they hadn't seen in the food trolley.
A new voice penetrated the fog in her brain and her glazed eyes tracked to the owner. Memories tugged at her mind. Nell squinted her eyes at the girl. First she wasn't the pink harpy and second she knew the girl. "Louisa!" She smiled at her fellow housemate. "Have you met my boyfriend?" She patted Edmund's arm. "The pink princess tried to steal him but I beat her." She whispered conspiratorially though her speech slurred again.
Nell rested her head on Ed's shoulder. "I'm going to sleep now."
Ameliah smiled at Ronnie and gave her back the >AMAZING< kitten. "Yeah, go and find it!" she agreed and watched her go.
She was suprised at what Adam asked. "Um." It seemed the only thing she could say for a while. After she recovered from the shock, Ameliah grinned. "Of course!" Adam was really great and sweet, so why not?
OHNO. Adam blushed deeply as Ameliah started off sounding so unsure. NONONONONONO. Harvey did break up with her right? Or did they start again? NONONONO. STUPID ADAM.
SHE SAID YES?? SCORE! Adam sighed with relief. "Awesome!" He couldn't stop grinning now. Where'd Rons get off to? Adam was ready for her to come back now. GRIN.
Portkey. Now that was one way to get to school. It was certainly much quicker. Why didn't they do this every year? It would save a whole lot of time and then he wouldn't have to deal with peeing kitties... Although, if there was no train then he wouldn't of had all that fun in the Prefect's compartment.
But wait. His hair! How did it look? Portkey travel may be quick, but it was breezy. He turned on the spot, trying to find something reflective that he could check his hair on but it seemed as if there was NOTHING available.
Elijah spotted the older girl who he and Vickers had played bowling with over the summer. "HEY YOU!" he called out to her, rushing in her direction. "Your a girl, right? So you must have a mirror. Can I borrow it please?"

Due to these too, her body appeared to have reacted to the F word and her legs were almost dragging her towards the carriages.
Hurry Captain! Food awaits!
"No, I'm fine. The carriages ain't that far anyway." No sitting dooooown! Oh, for Merlin's sake, how can he even think of sitting down when their stomachs were growling like lions?! And, eh? Choco? Beezus eyed the chocolate frog on Milton's hand before grimacing. "Errr..no, thank you.. I'm..allergic to that." And even if it was going to cure everything, she wasn't laying her hands on it.
So, can we just hurry now? Walk? Walk? Walk?
The carriages were only a few steps away.
Wait. No, she didn't want to sit down? And... huh? "No, that's what I meant. Let's go sit down on the carriages." Not right THERE. That would be rather unproductive and silly. Milton blinked when she said she was allergic to chocolate. "That's... terrible." Poor, poor soul.
Milton tugged her arm a little more so they could walk a little faster. The feast awaited!
Em looked around as she heard some one yelling, wondering who it was, and who they were after. It was the boy from bowling, and the prefect's compartment, and he was yelling after her. A half smile came across her face, due to his wind blown hair. However, when she heard his question, the smile quickly disappeared. "Yes, I am a girl." she said, her voice taking on an icy tone. "And, no, I don't have a mirror." Why on earth would she have one of those things on her? If she carried one around with her, not only would it take up space, but it would also give her seven years bad luck.
