The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Hic Abundant Leones’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.
If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

Ronnie owed her a big apology and explanation for snapping like she did...but what the heck was that girl doing with that bloody feather in her ear?! Ronnie looked at the girl, raising an eyebrow. Erm. Okay then. She pushed the feather away, laughing a little. "Why hello there." she said. "Hey, I'm real sorry for how I snapped at you at the feast." she said as she sat up a little in the chair. "I wasn't in a good mood. I'm never like that, trust me." she said laughing. Ronnie was a friendly, crazy little Lion! Not a grumpy mean one!

And I puked at the station from that stupid Portkey ride...so all that had really put me in a bad mood." she explained with a frown. Her head still hurt a little, she had random headaches throughout the whole day which was really annoying her. She should go see the Healer soon.

Nevermind that she had hurt her wrist, her kneazle needed her to protect him well not really and so she had to shield him with herself...the butt landing wasn't all that good either...
"And I'm Alexa." BEAM. It hadn't occurred to her until just now that she didn't know the girl's name but that was fixed now. "So how come you didn't flail or something when I tickled your ear?" Yeah... it was still bugging her...

Zack took a deep breath before entering the room. It's his second year in Hogwarts and all that was in his mind was to make as many friends this time as possible. His first year was over and all the friends that he made were his quidditch team. That too he wouldn't talk much.
So, he entered the room and went to his chair near the fire where he usually sat and. He dropped his robe on the chair's arm and sat on the chair. He looked around at the once already present in the room to recognize any of them. After what seemed like ages, he finally dropped his glare on the fire and waited to see if anyone would come up and talk first.

Ehh, for whatever weird Landon reason Landon had asked or more like told Tag to find him in the common room. Figures, he was probably too lazy to leave the common room-which Tag wanted to avoid. He just sure hoped that other guy wasn't here. It didn't seem so, good. Tag only had enough energy to annoy one person today. An he didn't want to waste his annoying energy on that guy, no. He'd rather save it for Landon. So he waited by the couch for Landon. Then he remembered something about Landon's babysitter, cookie girl, the girl that didn't like Tag seeing her eat a cookie last term, mentioning something about the two of them. Something about a letter.
"Thanks!" She said with a grin. She was pretty glad she was a lion...sure she was hoping to be a claw but now she couldn't imagine herself in any other house. Landon walked down from the boy's dormitories into the common room, where he spotted Tag. He ran over, ruffling his cousin's hair, then flopping down onto the couch. Ah. This was the life. "Well you made it. Come sit down, I've been waiting all day to see what Jade got us." He said, holding the small package in his hands. It was perfectly wrapped, almost with christmas wrapping paper but it was a fiery red sort of color with a gold ribbon tied all around it into a bow on the top. Beside the bow was a card that said,

There we go! A smile for a response was a great way to make the 11 year old feel like she hadn't done anything wrong. Good.
"Yup!" She said with a wide grin, clearly proud that she was only a firstie. Lex was glad that she wasn't much older because the older kids here annnnnnoooooyyyed her. They always thought that they had the right to do anything they wanted and they didn't seem like they knew how to have fun anymore. "And what about you?" She would never know seeing as shewas new and didn't know if half the people were originally there or transferred.

Ronnie laughed, nodding in agreement. "Yes, I'm sure you'll just love it more and more every day! It's the best house ever!" she said with a grin. It sure was, no doubt about it! That was a fact!
Ronnie laughed. "Sure, I guess. I've never watched TV before so I can't be suuure..." she said giggling.
Tinka appeared suddenly in the Gryffindor Common Room, right hand covering her eyes and left arm holding onto a bundle of firewood. Opening her fingers slightly, she peered through the crack. "Ohh... Tinka is up very very very high. Tinka no like cleaning here." She backed away from the windows and clung to the safety of the fireplace.
Fumbling with the logs, she set to work stoking the fire and replenishing it. "Oh, if only Tinka's mother could see her now, what would she say? Get back to kitchens, Tinka! Stay below ground, Tinka!" Her ears drooped and she gave a shudder.

Landon eyed Tag's response and shook his head. He didn't really know whether to believe it or not, but he was just going to believe it for now. It made him feel better about himself; that Tag was less smart than him. Hah.

Once Tag said that there were cookies that he could be getting, Landon's eyes widened. He then tore apart the gift like a monster and a big grin was on his face once he saw what was inside.
A bag of different flavored cookies that Jade seemed to bake, which were always the best, a bag of jumping gummy bears, two chocolate frogs, and a couple of oreos. Landon looked up at Tag and smirked. "So what will you not eat that I can have?" He teased. Landon would eat everything in this package really.
He heard a pop a couple feet away from him and saw an elf. He waved towards it and gave a big grin. Maybe this elf could get him food later if he wanted it. Maybe. Yes, hopefully. He wanted food.

As he was waving to the elf he heard a shuffling coming from behind him, he turned and his jaw dropped. Landon didn't know what happened, but before his eyes he saw Tag taking the food, especially the OREOS and trying to get out of the common room. "OH NO YOU DON'T." Landon yelled, running over to his cousin and grabbing the food from his arms. "Let go! We're supposed to share, Tag!" He said, feeling extremely frustrated. He could cry right now. Really. This was food and food was very important to Landon. And girls, but food sort of tied with girls if you put it on an importance scale.
Oh hey, it was Coul! Someone she knew. Which might be good, since it would've been funny awkward if she'd sat on someone she didn't even know. Awkward for the other person, at least. But anyway.
...What did he mean "That's it?" What else was she supposed to say? "I'm really sorry?" Was that better? "You didn't get hurt, right?" Surely not, but maybe he had and she wasn't aware of it? Or he was hurt from something else and she'd made it worse? Hm. She really didn't know. But hopefully he'd clue her in to whatever it was he was expecting. He was even POUTING now, for Merlin's sake...
He grinned over at the girl, briefly wondering how she could have missed him before with one of his arms hanging off of the couch. Though, he supposed he didn't mind all that much. He was fine, his face was fine, she was fine, and she hadn't weighed all that much either.
He shrugged. "No big deal." PFT. Weren't all girls kissy like Taryn? Taryn had sort of made the young boy think that kisses were rewards. And he expected a reward. Always. He shook his head. "Nope." he said simply, still fake!frowining.

This was food and food was very important to Landon. And girls, but food sort of tied with girls if you put it on an importance scale.
Tag was half way out of the common room when Landon chased right after him. Then Landon pinned him. What a shame. The leprechaun still had both of the foods clutched tightly in his hand as he struggled to get through the portrait even with Landon half all over him. Tag flailed his arms about trying to barely keep them out of reach from Landon's hand. Fine! If he couldn't win, Tag would do the next best thing. With his right hand high in the air holding the bag of gummy bears Tag swiftly moved his right hand down and stashed the gummy bears on the side of his pants."I give up! Now let me get out of the room-the elf is here!" Tag said defeated as he tossed the bag of oreos into Landon's face.
Landon eyed Tag's response and shook his head. He didn't really know whether to believe it or not, but he was just going to believe it for now. It made him feel better about himself; that Tag was less smart than him. Hah.
He glared at Tag's question and rolled his eyes. "Please don't call me that. Not another nickname I want going around, Blondie." He teased back. Once Tag said that there were cookies that he could be getting, Landon's eyes widened. He then tore apart the gift like a monster and a big grin was on his face once he saw what was inside.
A bag of different flavored cookies that Jade seemed to bake, which were always the best, a bag of jumping gummy bears, two chocolate frogs, and a couple of oreos. Landon looked up at Tag and smirked. "So what will you not eat that I can have?" He teased. Landon would eat everything in this package really.
He heard a pop a couple feet away from him and saw an elf. He waved towards it and gave a big grin. Maybe this elf could get him food later if he wanted it. Maybe. Yes, hopefully. He wanted food.
As soon as Tinka started cleaning, a studentsie waved at her. "Oh Tinka no like this, no like that at all," she said, waving back. "Too high too high too high!"

Rolling his eyes as Landon got more excited at the prospect of what could be in the bag Tag couldn't help but, internally share the same feeling with his beloved cousin-who he would marry. Anyone would be excited for it to be food. Then Landon was waving to an elf. Tag's mind instantly remembered earlier this year when an elf was the cause of Anya being stuck in the hospital wing for a month. It was dreadful. With the gummy bears in his hands-and not caring to say goodbye to Landon, Tag made way for the portrait-trying to get himself out.
Then a studentsie was walking out. "Tinka sorry, mister! Tinka have to clean the common room!" She didn't understand why he wouldn't like her. Tinka have to be bad cleaner! Oh no no no!"Tinka clean better this time!" she called after him.

So...what was the problem?

After a slight mishap with the password-Latin is hard, ok?-Ariadne was able to enter the Common Room and went straight for one of the comfy armchairs and sat down. She was almost sinking into it. Relaxing!
Spotting a copy of the Gryffindor Gazette, she picked it up and began to read, since she had nothing else better to do at the moment. Sure, they had homework and books to read, but she had done that all week. A break was in order.
And look who made it on the pages of the first issue! Hehe, Ari had been sure this boy was going to end up in Gryffindor.

Landon watched as Tag started to flail and he backed away as soon as possible, trying to not let his cousin hurt him. Or even worse, mess up his hair.

Before he knew it the "fight" was over and oreos were being thrown at his face. He caught them in his hands, like a ninja, and threw them on the ground and stomped on them. "You touched them. I can't eat them now." He frowned. Once Tag said that he wanted to get out of there because of the elf, Landon could only laugh. "Baby." He smirked.

Landon snatched the cookies in the air and then without hesitation tossed them to the ground and stomped on them. A wide smirk crossed over Tag's lips, one eyebrow arched. "Ahhahaha. You just stomped on your favorite food. You wanted them in the first place and now you've lost them. Good going." Tag said in a 'in your face' manner as he casually patted Landon's shoulders.
"Tinka cleans well! Tinka cleans well!" Tag said in a shrilly voice. Elves liked it when they got compliments, right? They weren't treated very fairly and probably liked hearing nice things for a change. Though Tag was saying that so Tinka could leave and he'd get in no trouble. "Tinka's a good cleaner. Very good. Tinka's job is done in this common room."

Dylan walked into the common room after a little walk around the castle.. well some of the castle cause the castle was too big to cover in a few days. Sure it had been a month since he came here but he also had classes and things and couldn't do everything all at once! He walked in and looked around spotting many other gryffindors he knew and had met. He sat down on the sofa and saw someone reading the Gazette and he smiled as he remembered seeing his face just smiling back at him.
He bent over to see who was behind the gazette and smiled "Surprised to see me in there? Or have you not got to that good part yet?" he chuckled as he straightened up. Not that he was being all big headed cause he wasn't he was just happy that he had actually made into a publication of somesort even if it wasn't the Prophet or anything.. but this was a start and next stop The Daily Prophet.
