Hufflepuff VS Ravenclaw

It was finally spring. SPRING, SPRING look at all the little birds and blooming flowers!

Professor Elwood had the windows of the small building the Gobstones matches were hosted in wide open letting the air and occasional insect to creep in and make the room much more enjoyable. The room was still set up the same as usual but today's match was a special one because it was the last one of the term and would, despite the rule change on how a house earned points, would determine the term's winner of the Gobstones Cup!

"Good afternoon everybody! Welcome to the last match of the season between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. It's good to see you all here and ready to go. Everyone play your best and let's have some fun, shall we?" The blonde clapped her hands together and then jogged over to the officiator's spot, the jingling of her bangles filling the room.

"And just to make sure you all have read and taken the new gobstones game rules into consideration before showing up today? Cheating or horse-play won't be tolerated so don't try it. Good luck!"

Occ: This match will be hosted by DanialRadFAN01.

Professor Elwood sat on the floor beside the scoreboard waiting for the two teams to pick their first shooters. Once the students were preparing to shoot the blonde called for the go ahead!

The Eagles had chosen Ethan McCarthy as their first shooter for the match and he was matched against fourth year Minerva Wheatborn of Hufflepuff. The two students made their way to the shooter's line and prepared to toss their blue and gold marbles.

Quick as lightning the two stones were released into the play field and it was hard to tell which would end up closest the Jack Stone. Cheers from Lana Hyde, Aidan Stone, and Louisa Carter drowned out the relatively quite Hufflepuff team as the blue stone touched the Jack.

"First points go to Ravenclaw!" Professor Elwood tapped her wand on the scoreboard.

After the last score by the Eagles Ethan let Aidan Stone step up as the next Ravenclaw shooter against Minvera, going for another shot. The order girl looked at the young boy hoping to have a better shot than his.

Aidan crouched down with his tongue hanging out of his mouth in concentration and then released his blue marble it rolled and then stopped about 2 inches from the center and the Jack Stone. Minerva released her yellow marble but instead of curving towards the middle as she had planned it went straight and out of the playing field boundaries.

"Another point for the Eagles." Ding!

After the success of McCarthy and then Stone's shots, Ravenclaw decided to go keep the streak going by asking their first shooter to go again. Lana Hyde whispered some advice on where to shoot just before he approached the playing field.

The Badgers had chosen seventh year Emmaleigh Swynford to take the yellow marble and shoot for the points. The two players both took aim and then released their stones into the circle. Emmaleigh's stone went right for the Jack, paused, and then continued to roll coming to a rest nearly touching the Jack! Ethan's blue marble looked to be doing the same thing but it stopped just short, sending some goo towards the Ravenclaw team.

Professor Elwood tapped her wand on the other side of the scoreboard this time. "Points to Hufflepuff!"

(Answer: Floromancy because it was the name of the one studied here in Term 23 in the School RPG.)
