The driver and snack lady sit waaaaaay up front in the driver's cab, but there are plenty of other compartments up here! Careful you don't sit in the Prefects' cab though.

Maybe he needed to hang out with someone to pass the time and so that he would be there before he knew it, he looked around but didnt see anyone he recognised... oh wells maybe a little later.
The incident with the Head Girl's cat had brought her as far as the front of the train. Luckily, that was over now. Time to make her way back to her compartment, Ari thought. But something stopped her. She noticed a young boy sitting in a compartment by himself, a first year no doubt. Ariadne couldn't ignore that!
The girl opened the compartment door unceremoniously and cleared her throat loud enough to get the boy's attention. 'Do you mind if I sit here for a while to catch my breath? Been running after a cat. Long story.' she said and flopped herself on the nearest seat. 'Is this your first train ride to Hogwarts?' the fifth year decided this question sounded slightly better than 'Are you a firstie?' and she just needed to know.
Logan started happily eating sweets with her. "And maybe we will be in the same House!" That would be super awesome even if they would be seeing each other anyway.
He proceeded to chew on a Chocolate Frog as he meditated on her question. After swallowing, he nodded. "I think so. Are you?" If so, maybe they could try out.together.
Harlan grinned at Logan as they ate far too many sweets, glad to have such an awesome friend already. 'Mhm! I hope so!' She nodded, if she could be in the same house as Logan and Mason it would be the best thing ever.
Harlan scooted around and rested her legs on the seat too. 'Nice trains.' She mumbled, more to herself than to Logan.
'Coolie.' Harlan took out a book she'd gotten in Diagon Alley, she wanted to learn stuff about Quidditch before actual tryouts. 'They look so fancy on brooms.' And Harlan was very fancy too, so of course she had to try out. Throwing another crystallised pineapple into her mouth, Harlan turned the page. 'Maybe I'll even be good at flying.'

Mika had left her trunk in the other compartment. No one could get into it though because her mum was smart and charmed it so only she or someone who was supposed to open it could open it. Or maybe her mum was just a little but looneytunes.
Peaking her head into the compartment she couldn't help but grin. She spotted someone who actually looked nice. She liked nice people. Nice people didn't run away from you like scared little chickens...she decided to be calmer than earlier.
"Hi" she piped up as she stepped into the compartment. "Is that a ducky?" She asked squeaking a little as she spoke. She liked ducks. Ducks floated, and according to those silly men from that movies witches were ducks...so weren't they all ducks? And made of wood?
"I'm Amelia but you can call me Mika!"
Maybe he should catch some sleep before they arrived at the station. It would still be a few hours until they were there and because he had been nervous about going back to school he had not slept well during the night at home.
The fifth year Slytherin closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh to relax. A whole year of worrying whether or not he was going to pass his exams, great. Trying not to think about it, Daichi rolled his body so that his face was facing the backseat. Just relax and....what the?
A noise made him open up his eyes as he lazily moved his head to the door. A kid was standing there and Daichi frowned a little. Great, there goes his peace... Oh well, might as well...wait...did she say ducky? Automatically, Daichi grinned from ear to ear. Only the word could make him grin apparently. "Yes! yes it is!" he said cheerfully, suddenly wide awake because clearly this young one was interested in the duck as well judging by the tone of her voice. He sat upright and opened up his backpack to grab the plushy out. "His name is Mr.Duckles~" and he was his bestfriend/hero!
"Nice to meet you Mika!" he smiled and with a small bow he added. "I'm Daichi" He then picked his luggage up and placed them above in the trainrack. "You uh..you want to sit down?"
Damon looked at her with a small smile, "You're so adorable."
"Thank you." She was too distracted by thinking of details to blush at the compliment. There was smudges on her nose and cheek as well as her hand but Tay seemed to not notice.

Damon smiled at her, "By the way you've got smudges everywhere," He chuckled.
Arabella-Marie smiled at Belle and said "Thanks, nice to meet you Belle, I am Arabella-Marie but you can call me Arabella if you want"
Belle smiled back, "Wow i love your name, it is very unique sort of like mine." Belle wanted to make small talk a little bit during the train ride. "What year are you going into? I am going into my 6th year and i gotta admit i am kind of nervous."

Pssshh yeah he had a lot of luck getting people to switch over.
But yeah backin' out now...

"You havent said why you're here." he blurted out suddenly. Yeah he knew he was going to lose, so you know distraction tactic "Last I checked the Hogwarts Express doesnt make any stops to Beauxbaton. In fact its traveling the opposite direction." smug smug smug. "Should I let the train operator know we have a stowaway on-board hmm?" Hah! If he was a liar then she was a cheat.
Lex raised an eyebrow at him. Why did he seemed so shocked that someone would have it out for his bird if it was as bad as Genevieve had said it was? Then he said if she valued her fingers she wouldn't try something like that....it sounded like a challenge....Lex loved those. "So I see..." She muse, staring out the window for a minute before looking up into his big blue eyes. "So does the same rule apply if I were to take a plank and beat the thing unconscious?" The question was as innocent as any other she might have asked and she looked up at him with innocent eyes, remembering the time she and Felix took apart a hawk that had flown in to have him for lunch. Bloody thing deserved it for trying to make off with her kneazle.
She giggled abit when he mumbled that he didn't very much like the name grouchy girl gave him. It did kinda sound like a girl's name; so Vickers it was. Nod.
But aww he was leaving...until he stopped to question Genevieve. His question made her eyes go wide as she looked over at her. "So wait...you're not originally a Hogwarts student?????" Though that might have explained why she didn't act like the other older students....might have explained why she had a brain. This is was quite a shock to the 11 year old.

Oh phew. So Kurumi had guessed it right. And she probably shouldn't laugh at the way he was smiling now. Or stare at the way that his teeth seemed to devour his face. Or the way that...no, Kurumi wasn't going to finish her thoughts on this because it would only make her laugh and she didn't want to embarrass the poor guy.
"Um...I think I can," Kurumi said as she idly twirled her wand between her fingers. "I need you to hold still," she continued as she pointed her wand towards his rabbit teeth. Flicking her wand firmly at the wrist in an sharp upwards movement towards his gums. "Dentesarto." Kurumi hadn't had to use this Tooth Shrinking Spell before, minus the one time she had taken care of several jackalope who hadn't been able to gnaw on wood properly to keep their teeth healthy.
Hopefully it would work.
Oh thank Merlin! His teeth, they were shrinking back down to normal size. He felt them go back into his mouth and he smiled his normal smile once more. "Kurumi!" He beamed. "Thank you sooooo much! I don't know what I'd have done if you didn't show up."
Actually he would have probably began gnawing on the nearest piece of wood nearby on the train. You know do, what the beavers do.
"I'm sorry Kurumi." Oakey switched quickly from thankful to apologetic. "I didn't mean to cast on myself. I guess it was my first successful Non-Verbal jinx"
He gave off a quick smile before saying this because he was sort of proud of it.
"If that bird is coming in here, then I'm leaving," Genevieve announced quite seriously. It was a matter of PRINCIPLE, really... the bird had drawn blood and nearly made her cry in front of another person (Vickers, as a matter of fact), and she and the bird were now mortal foes.
"It's a mad thing. Tried to make a nest out of my hair. Thinks she's a Muggle country singer TOO." All true things. Genevieve nodded emphatically and curled up in the corner by the window, across from where Hasty had been seated.
"I never give up," Genevieve said lightly, and she smiled crookedly now that she and Hasty seemed to be on good terms. Almost friends, hmm? She watched Hasty measure Vickers up and down, something that should be amusing considering the liplock from the platform. Maybe she was just one of those girls who admired boys as works of art... nice to look at, unnecessary to own.
Genevieve squinted at Vickers, trying to picture him in a frame and hung up on a wall. It made her grin a bit. He'd need a hat. Good pictures always had hats.
"That was nice of you, but we're not hurt." She tucked her legs under her and tried to school her features. It was impossible to explain what it was that she found so AMUSING, and so... best not look amused.
"But you're a liar. You can't stay here if you're going to lie to my new friends. Dolly is a demon bird who nested in my hair, dug her talons into my scalp, and then got offended and took some of me with her when Vick finally removed her from my head." DEEEEEEEMOOOOOON BIRD.
Okaaay. Abby was pretty sure she didn't want the boy or his 'demon' bird in her apartment. Genie seemed pretty freaked out so Abby definitely did NOT want to get anywhere close to the bird. Seriously, why did people have pets like that? Pets that scare the heck out of people?
"That's something we have in common." Abby smirked. She never gave up either. She always got what she wanted and if she didn't.. well, she just kept on trying anyway. Admittedly, it was nice to meet people like her. "I hope you come up with a better nickname for me though."

Prefer it if she called him Vickers? Yeah, right. "How about Vicks? Now, that's a pretty good nickname." Even if she said so herself. Besides, she liked giving people nicknames. It was fun, really. "Or.. how about kicks?" That was a ridiculous name, honestly but if he liked it.. Heh.
And.. he still wasn't leaving. Sigh. Wait a minute.. Did the boy just say Beauxbaton? Genie was from Beauxbaton? Oh, wow. That was impressive. She'd heard that it was one of the best schools around. Like Hogwarts.
Ariana went wide eyed and giggled as he tried to play cool, it just wasnt working for him she kissed him back "that was a .. interesting." she said referring to what he said
" what do you mean interesting, Babe?" Justin asked as he slid her off his lap onto the seat right next to him.
"nothing." she said shaking her head as she sat next to him "so does this mean were back together?"
" Well, it would seem that way to me... What do you think? I mean I couldn't think of anything better ...." Justin said as he took her hand in his and entwined their fingers.

Damon smiled at her, "By the way you've got smudges everywhere," He chuckled.
Taylor didnt even glance up, "Eh, oh well, as long as you still think I look cute then I dont really care about them right now." She continued to sketch, almost done.

"Thank you." He was a little discomfited that she was looking at his school uniform. He still wasn't entirely convinced that he wasn't walking around in a dressing gown, and that it was perfectly normal to wear robes in the wizarding world. It just seemed like he was perpetually on his way to bed.
"Do you like Hogwarts? You don't seem as... um..." Insanely happy to be going as everyone else? Something like that.
Sierra just stared at the boy for a few seconds. Why was he just randomly asking if she liked Hogwarts? Then he finished his sentence, and she just laughed a little. "Of course I like Hogwarts," she said. Then she grew blank-faced again and asked, "I don't seem as--...what?"
She gave the girl inside the compartment a parting glance then closed the compartment door again, putting herself back out in the hallways. "I'm Sierra Greingoth, Slytherin house prefect," she said. "So you're a first year, I see." After all, it was clear by his robes he hadn't been sorted year. "You hoping for a certain house?"
She looked at him as if the next word out of his mouth would forever determine how she felt about him.
