Gideon followed the librarian out of the library and into the corridor, amazed by what they found. What had been bone-dry just an hour before was now soaked with several inches of water. Thankfully only up to his ankles thanks to his height but still. Moving slowly through the water with Kitridge, they soon came upon the culpits and the seventh year's attention fell on the Hufflepuff.
Laura...the girl he had helped near the courtyard after being hit by Oakey's spell. The one he had thought might be innocent yet here she was in the midst of things and seemingly not an innocent bystander or even victim this time. She herself was admitting to the wrong-doing involving water balloons and the suit of armour.
He stayed quiet, letting the librarian handle it. nodded and followed the man's instructions, coming upon Laura and the other girls and checking around for any remaining balloons. As there appeared to be none, the prefect switched his attention to the suit of armour. Thankfully it was built to withstand far worse then a few rubber water balloons. Though it would certainly need to dry and hopefully not start to rust after awhile. Gideon cast the hot air charm to try and dry it off a bit.
The corridor...now that would be another story.
Laura looked at Gideon and hung her head low. "Mr Prefect sir, have you checked Edmunds bag?" Laura was sure he had gotten rid of his water Balloons." Laura was hoping he had anyway, but if her and this other girl was going to get checked surely it was only right that Edmund got checked as well.
Laura looked at Bliss and then at the Professor. "Bliss is telling the truth Professor." Laura smiled, she was going too make up for throwing the water balloon at the wall, it wasn't her fault her aim had been off and had hit the girl, and then Edmund had thrown one at her.

With his second task, the status of the suit of armour complete, Gideon was drawn back to his first one by Laura as she spoke up. Not in her defense but in one of the other girls. He had in fact missed the boy's bag in the process of looking though the rest so discretly made his way over to his bag to investigate it as he had the others. So that was her nature...troublesome but always truthful about it.
It was a different story however this time around in the case of evidence as his hand came up with a water balloon instead of nothing compromising. "Did ye just find it too...eh?" He mused quietly as he straightened up, holding it in his open palm for lack of a better place at the moment. Maybe vanish it later. His fellow seventh year was certainly looking guilty as well though.

'We can help clean everything up. It won't happen again.' Goody two shoes. Ed rolled his eyes at her, but grinned at the girl who'd tried to tell Laura off. Not only did she glare at him, but she quite amusingly tried to worm her way out of trouble. He wasn't going to drop her in it though. Wasn't his style.
Thankfully the prefect overlooked his bag and it seemed like her was going to get away with it. His eyebrows shot up when Isaac revealed himself. SO HE WAS NINJA KID! Grinning impressedly at his best friend, Edmund nodded too at his getting-out-of-trouble story. Pretty clever to use the protection of books against a librarian!
Outrage crossed his face and his jaw dropped at Laura's question to the prefect. "YOU SNITCH!" He hadn't ratted her out! Why was she doing it to him? He still had three balloons left! He opened the bag for the prefect resignedly and scowled at him when he commented on it. He wasn't going to answer that. He wasn't going to lie, nor outright admit to anything. Well, he'd only got one out, right? That would mean less trouble, yes? Not that Ed was scared of being in trouble, truth be told, he thrived on the doing stuff that was against the rules and not getting caught, but trouble was fun too. It set the pulse racing. And taught you who your friends were. He was sorely tempted to grab the balloon in the prefect's hand and crack it over Laura's head, but resisted. Revenge was best served cold, right?!
Laura looked around too see the Librarian very angry, well she was going to tell the truth. "I'm sorry Mr Librarian." Laura blushed. "The suit of Armour scared me and I had a couple of water balloons and I wanted to practice my Quidditch aim and so I decided to throw them at the Suit of Armour to see if I could hit it." Now that Laura was caught she wasn't going to try and lie to get herself out of trouble, her mother had always told her to be honest.
Laura sighed. "I was just trying to make sure my Quidditch skills where upto scratch." Laura blushed. "We didn't disturb you Mr Librarian did we?" Laura had hoped not, plus with the break up and things Laura had just been going through a tough time.

Realising he looked quite suspicious with one hand in his bag, Edmund carefully turned his hand slightly and grabbed a chocolate bar instead.
Once he'd carefully extracted it and closed his bag, he ripped it open and took a huuuuuge bite. There. Now he wasn't ratting anyone out, nor himself, and making a reputation as a tell-tale. 'Cause he totally wasn't.

As annoyed at Laura as she was, the Gryffindor didn't want to be the one to incriminate her. If the girl had some decency, she would confess it all herself. Which she did. Sort of. Nevertheless, a part of Ari's brain kept nagging her. She too had thrown a balloon. Had she possessed more self control, she would truly be out in the clear right now, but that wasn't the case. 'We can help clean everything up. It won't happen again.' she spoke up, looking at Mr Kitridge, giving in to her feeling of guilt.

And then..SPLASH!SMACK! A water balloon hit her and she jumped back, shocked by the cold water and the fact that someone threw a water balloon at her! She span round and glared at the person who did it, but ended up giggling.
Stop it. Straight face. Glare.
Bliss was not soaking wet, thanks to the boy across the hallway from her and she wasn't in the mood to play game. Not even with her cousin. She folded her arms across her chest and waited expectantly. "Enjoying the views? Really? That's the best you could come up with?" Bliss said frowning at bad-at-lying-cousin. "I'm not that stupid," she grumbled. "Just a little," Bliss replied sarcastically and looked at Laura. She saw soaking wet, just as she now saw. Though Laura, it seemed deserved everything she got. Bliss narrowed her, not prepared to forgive her just yet. She'd disappointed her and now more lies flowed from her mouth. "Laura, enough excuses," she said and sighed.
Bliss spun around as she heard someone laugh, possibly at her. She was right, there was a boy, who looked like he should know better, grinning at her.
GLARE. "Sir, I don't know who started this, but it wasn't me!" Bliss spoke rapidly, if anything she wanted to avoid getting in trouble, she hadn't done anything. "I was just wandering the castle and heard splashing and laughter, so I came to investigate. Then I found them and saw my cousin, Laura," Bliss explained, slightly out of breath.
The Second Year felt out of her depths here, who would believe her, even if it was the truth. She decided to explain further. "I told Laura off, but someone throw a water balloon at me," she and glared once more at the boy who had done it. "I haven't been throwing anything. I've been trying to stop them. Honest," Bliss said, still frantic. She looked at Laura for back up. She wanted to be a Prefect when she was older, but that wasn't likely to happen if she lost points because of Laura's silly 'games'. "I'm telling the truth, aren't I, Laura," she said, her eyes pleading.

Yep and the balloon just happened to hit the girl. He hadn't meant to! He'd meant to hit Laura.

Mr Kitridge breathed in and out, trying to calm his pulse and well anger towards the water and the children responsible. Turning his towards Miss Hyde he listened impassively to her story of what had gone on just before he arrived. Quidditch aim practice?
Resisting the urge to roll his eyes and laugh he responded in a calm but lecturing tone when she was finished. "This corridor or any school corridor for that matter Miss Hyde you should be aware of by now, is not there for you to use it as an area for quidditch practice. There is a quidditch pitch on the grounds which I highly suggest you use for aim practice in the future."
"The suit of armour, might be scary but it shouldn’t be used as a practice target. It’s an old property of the school and should be treated with respect. For creating this mess I will deduct 10 house points from you Miss Hyde and you will clean up the water on this floor with the use of a mop. No magic is allowed. Understood?"
Shifting his gaze to Edmund, Mr Kitridge continued his lecture. "You are very reluctant to take responsibility for your actions Mr Clay. That’s disappointing of a seventh year student who should know better. I will deduct 5 house points from you and you will help Miss Hyde clean up the water. Is that understood?"
Next up was Isaac….."Mr Muir I admire your desire to keep the books in the library safe from water damage and i shall award you 5 points for your swift action. Next thing though please fetch a staffer instead of just watching things unfold."
And then there was the lioness."I'm glad you see the error of your actions and wish to repent it Miss Marchbanks. I’ shall deduct 5 house points from you and you will help Miss Hyde and Mr Clay to mop up all the water, understood?"
Finally the last Hufflepuff. "Miss Ryan’s I’m awarding you 5 house points for trying to stop this use of the suit of armour as a water balloon target. Please in the future though, come find a staffer instead of trying to get in the middle of the situation in order to stop it." Mr Kitrdige concluded.
Taking out his wand he made three buckets and three mops appear in front of him. "Get to it then Miss Hyde, Miss Marchbanks and Mr Clay, the day isn’t getting any younger." Turning his attention to Mr Gert for a moment Mr Kitridge said "Mr Gert thank you for your assistance I shall reward you 5 house points for help. Could you do me one last favour before you leave for other endeavours?" He didn’t want to keep the prefect from his studies or other duties but this was important.

Laura looked at the Professor and sighed. "I will do that next time." Laura promised seriously she had just decided that this wasn't worth getting into trouble, taking one of the mops she started to clean the floor. "I understand Professor." Laura wasn't going to get into anymore trouble so she just clean up the water the muggle way. "I'm really sorry Professor." Laura sighed.

Exactly like she had said. The Quidditch pitch was the place to practice, and not this corridor. At least the Hufflepuff girl was justly lectured by the librarian. Ari herself lost five points, which she secretly thought was a bit harsh, considering she had just thrown ONE water balloon when she simply couldn't hold her temper in check any more. But the fifth year knew she could earn those points back.
What really bothered her was that the Gryffindor Prefect had been there and seen everything. She hoped he wouldn't judge her based solely on this occasion. Ariadne had never lost any housepoints in her life before this. Oh, well. There was supposed to be a first time for everything, right?
'Yes, Mr Kitridge, Sir. I understand.' was all she said before taking a mop and getting to work. Nevertheless, the girl still couldn't see why they couldn't use magic.

Smirking at Laura being lectured, losing 10 points and being told to clean the floor without magic, Ed vaguely noted that justice had been served. Until he was addressed. Okay, justice definitely had NOT been served. He looked at the floor, attempting for contrite and once again, failing. He was too proud of hitting Laura with that balloon. "Understood." Well, his chocolate was ruined now. Muttering under his breath about tell-tales and girls not being able to keep their mouths shut, he started to mop up, keeping an ear out for the 'favour' Kitridge wanted from the prefect.

It wasn't hard to see Edmund was upset at being called out and caught, the yelling at Laura and the scowl set his way was proof enough of that. Maybe he should learn not to cause trouble and try to get away with it at the expense of others. Laura had fessed up for herself and told the truth of others' involvement, Edmund had been willing to stand by and have her go down alone. Gideon didn't remark back though for it wasn't his place but proceeded to take out the other two balloons he spotted after the first. If anything they should be glad they'd be disposed of rather than popped in the corridor to create more mess for them to clean up. There wasn't much else he could do otherwise as the situation was handled until Mr. Kitridge turned his attention to him.
"Thank ye sir," Gideon said with an accepting nod as he was offered house points for his assistance. A positive outcome on his behalf even if he wasn't aiming for it when he agreed to help. At least it washed the points loss for Gryffindor house. "Aye...I believe I can." Though seeing as the man hadn't told him what it was Gideon couldn't of course be absolutely sure. Surely it couldn't be bad though so he was willing to do his best at whatever the librarian had to ask him.

At least it washed the points loss for Gryffindor house. "Aye...I believe I can." Though seeing as the man hadn't told him what it was Gideon couldn't of course be absolutely sure. Surely it couldn't be bad though so he was willing to do his best at whatever the librarian had to ask him.
Mr Kitridige noted with some satisfaction that his lecture hadn't been in vain as all three balloon throwing enthusiasts started to mop the floor from the water. Mr Clay however didn't apologise for his behavior unlike the two girls did. But Leobald wasn't in the mood to insist for it since it was only water and a few balloons that had caused the mess in the first place. Hopefully by the time he got back to the library the water on the floor had disintegrated to only a few specks of water.
He watched the student's work in silence for a moment before turning to the Gryffindor prefect. "Mr Gert can you please go find Professor Bellaire? I think you did good job in drying up the suit of armour, but we need the charms professor to check that the armour is in full working condition. I don't want an armour walking around the corridors potentially causing havoc do you?"
The prospect of an armour causing an uproar after being splashed with water was the last thing Mr Kitridge wanted to think about at the moment. He was more worried about his library.

Oh, that type of task.
Gideon nodded as he listened to the librarian explain on just what he wanted him to do for him. "Aye, I can," he said already thinking on a course of action. The third floor was likely the best place to start given it was the location of the woman's classroom and office. "Nae...I wouldn't." Troublesome charmed items were never a good thing to deal with. His brother Andy and the time he charmed the oven at home to avoid their mum having to bake was proof of that.
"I'll get right on it," he added, taking the request as a dismissal for the moment. The prefect turning and leaving Mr. Kitridge and the moping brigade to their own tasks.
-----------------------------
Soon enough, Gideon was returning to the fourth floor corridor where the librarian and troublesome cleaning students were. The woman he was tasked to find no doubt coming along behind him. "Mr. Kitridge... Professor Bellaire is on her way," he informed the man when he came up beside him. Hopefully the other students hadn't been giving him too much trouble while he was gone.

Sophia arrived not long after Gideon did and looked around. Okaaay...so Leo was there as well as some other students mopping up water. She was confused as to why she was needed so she looked at Leo..hands quickly going to her hips.
"I taught cleaning spells last term Mr.Kitridge. I trust the students are capable of mopping up water without me." She raised an eyebrow at him.
Why was there water in the corridor anyways?
"Can someone please explain what exactly happened here?"

It didn't take long before Gideon arrived back, accompanied by Professor Bellaire. "Thank you Mr Gert. You are free to leave if you have other more pressing duties to attend to." What remained of the balloon throwing fest, he could handle with the aid of the troublemakers and Professor Bellaire.
Turning to Sophia he greeted her with a small smile. "Thank you for coming. I need your help in assessing the state of the suit of armour." Gesturing with a thumb towards the suit of armour breifly Leobald continued. "The student's who are now mopping up water from off the floor decided that a suit of armour would be a suitable target for quidditch aim practice with water balloons." he explained in a serious tone.
Now she'd understand why he had called on her, yes?

Gideon glanced back as Bellaire spoke, alerting those gathered to her presence and letting him know she had indeed followed him. The seventh year nearly answered her question but left it to the others, he was meerly assisting at the moment having gotten pulled in through being at the right place at the right time.Or wrong place at the wrong time, depending on the way one chose to look at the situation. He nodded at the librarian's thanks and went along with the man's dismissal.
"Then good day Mr. Kitridge...Professor Bellaire," he said taking his leave, making a note to return perhaps tomorrow for the book he had been going to check out.

Sophia folded her arms and looked around the somewhat mess. She had to admit she was still just a bit confused as to why Leo needed her. The students made a mess, check..he had them cleaning it up..check....okay?
She looked at Leo and blinked.
"Well have them shine them up then, if they have made them by throwing water balloons at them. Unless there is something else wrong with them..."
Oh Mr.Gert was leaving?
She responded by nodding in his direction as he took his leave.

Was the librarian watching them? Ed felt like asking him if he wanted to join in since he was so interested in what happened to the water. He knew when to hold his tongue though. Keeping his silence, even though he was seriously amused at Kitridge's overreaction, he kept mopping in silence. See? He took his punishment without complaint. Well, verbal complaint.
Accidentally on purpose catching Laura's shoes with his mop, Ed smirked at her, but stopped messing around and wrung the mop out before going back to cleaning. Water really did get everywhere. He loved it! He wanted to snort at the response of the Charms professor, but managed to hold the noise in for now.
He straightened up at the assumption that his reason was the same as Laura's and eyed Kitridge. He hadn't said anything about it being a suitable target. He was there for fun! He opened his mouth to say something, but it seemed like Bellaire's mention of shining it had ripped the words from him. "I'm not shining that thing." He wrung the mop out once more and then set it against the wall. He'd done his share of cleaning.

Hands in hand, Beatrice took light steps as she made her way up the staircase to the next Floor. Her destination was the Ravenclaw Common Room, about four floors more. Gah, why did she have to live up there? It was always tiring to climb at least seven flight of stairs everyday and today was no exception. She still wasn't used to it. Meh. Not to mention she was already exhausted with all the school stuff she was doing earlier that morning.
..just a few more steps and she'd get there, then she could take an afternoon nap before going back to the Great Hall for dinner.
The brunetted pulled the books closer to her chest as she edged around the next corner that lead to the Fourth Floor Corridor....

The library...Dylan was in dire need of books for learning......and research. Nothing too drastic, of course. Just some light Alchemy reading...The Slytherin had exhausted the journals he'd discovered over the Summer holiday...and to show for it, he also had a written composition book filled with notes.
Perhaps he could work out his special project this term...
The Captain had almost reached the Library doors when something stopped him dead in his tracks. Rather...someone.
Bee.
Dylan had done a fair job of putting most of his hurt on the back burner caused by her and Richard. He'd been able to throw himself wholly into other things...but that hadn't stopped the dreams from coming at night. And it was those times when he'd wake up in a cold sweat...that the pain intensified...and threatened to consume him.
There had never been a time when he'd cried so much over a girl. But for Bee, Dylan had.
Heartbreak was a strange, scary, powerful monster...and it had threatened to drag him down...Even now, just looking at her...
He couldn't meet her eyes.
Truth of the matter: The Captain missed her. So much.

Fourth Floor. Hmm. Now that it hit her, she could stop by at the Library to borrow a few more books. A few more references for her essay couldn't possibly hurt. What's more, Mr. Kitridge was nice.
Just as she neared the doors, she halted and came face to face with...him, whom she had tried ignoring for the past few days because of what happened. Beezus gulped somewhat involuntarily. UGH. What was he doing there? The Slytherin's lair wasn't anywhere near the Library.
UGH...just....it was easy avoiding him at classes with all the tasks their Professors were giving them...but meeting him in this kind of setting where no one was hardly passing by, it just wasn't going to be a piece of cake.
Beezus took a deep intake of air as she got her legs walking again.
That's right..just walk, you'll pass him by eventually, no glancing or anything, just...walk on straight..
..and she had entirely disposed of her idea earlier to go to the Library.

At first, all Dylan could do was stare, dumbfounded. No, he still wasn't meeting her eyes. More so looking at her jean-clad legs...Something strange was happening in his chest. The Slytherin literally thought his heart was going to stop.
He hadn't been close to her...at all in almost a week. It was too long...considering he'd gotten use to seeing her everyday. Just being in her presence...
What had she done to him?
...But then she was attempting to move past him...and all Dylan could do to stop her was to reach out and grab her arm. Not forcefully...but just enough to get her to pause. Just laying a hand on her made him...feel strange...
The Slytherin knew he needed her back in his life...and if that meant he'd have to apologize...He could be the better person and make this right. To have her back, his pride could be laid to rest. "Please don't walk away."
His tone was layered with deep sadness. The Captain hated himself for how pathetic it sounded...and how utterly honest it was at the same time.

A few more steps...just a few more and she'd be heading off to the next set of stairs...and away from him.. she'll be off to safer ground soon...
But he just had to stop her. And the Ravenclaw had to catch her breath, gasping silently upon the skin contact. She didn't pull her arm away, but used her other free hand to put a tighter grip on the books as she pushed it much more close to her chest.
Oh Dylan Corvi Montmorency, just what else do you want?
Please don't walk away?
Beezus avoided the Slytherin's eyes as she muttered a silent "Why?" Why shouldn't I walk away? Wasn't she someone who only pisses him off? Plus, she wasn't ready to talk to him. She was still upset with how he reacted to his best friend's invitation to ask her out and what he did after to that girl. Actually, not upset...Beezus was downright hurt.
Zombie Apocalypse Team Leader ★ ★ in a crown of pepperoni and artisan cheese
Why?
Her question had been simple enough...but Dylan understood the full weight of it. Yes, she'd been wrong for accepting to date his best mate...but the Slytherin had been just as wrong for then turning and snogging the bless out of Ariana.
He'd immediately regretted doing so. In all honesty, he hadn't even seen Logan's face when he'd closed his eyes to kiss her. It was an awful truth...but the TRUTH nonetheless.
Hurt and anger did...awful things to people...and Dylan had paid dearly. He just didn't want to continue doing so. He needed her to put him out of her misery...
So, why? Why should she stop and not walk away from him at that very moment?
"I know I hurt you in a terrible way..." The Slytherin's voice was quiet and strained. He just couldn't look at her. "...but you hurt me, too..." Still not looking at her. "... I don't care anymore, though. I can't continue to not talk to you."
I'm not strong enough...
He took a shuddering breath before finally looking up to meet her eyes. "I miss you..." His voice grew a bit stronger upon seeing her deep brown eyes.

.."N-not really.." Okay, she was denying it. She was hurt by what he did and the reasons he gave afterwards. Yet she wasn't going to admit that...not to him. Beezus knew very well that she had hurt him too by agreeing to go with his best friend. But, for her, it was just too shallow to use that reason so he'd kiss Ariana and get back at Rich. It was just irrational.
"..enjoyed snogging her, huh?" she uttered, trying to sounds casual. She didn't want to give a cent about how they were going to end up.
If it was possible to jump right out of that mess, Beezus would have done so. Being helpless, having weird feelings that she couldn't explain, the Ravenclaw just didn't want any of those.
I miss you.
However, as he said those words, Beezus' power over her own body had wavered that her knees began to shake slightly, and her hand losing grip of her books, fell on the floor with a loud thud, one after the other. Gulp. Gulp. She should've picked the books right away but she stayed standing, her now book-free hand quickly moving to grasp the sapphire pendant dangling from the necklace around her neck, she needed some kind of support. Why did he miss her? "Y-you do? ...why?"
Zombie Apocalypse Team Leader ★ ★ in a crown of pepperoni and artisan cheese
Dylan expected the sarcasm. That was just how his Bee's mind worked. She was going to play this off because she was scared...The Slytherin understood. He was unsure and terrified himself...Honestly, why did everything that involved this girl hurt him so badly...?
...And why couldn't he just be done with it?
The answer was simple, of course. Dylan knew he would never trade the Ravenclaw for anything. No matter how bad things were...and how much she upset him. He was just...incapable.
"I didn't." Really. He'd kissed her that once and had gotten punched in the face for it. Dylan might have respected the Slytherin girl now...but he definitely wasn't going for a repeat. He just didn't like her in that way...Besides, Rich's name was all over that one.
When her books started falling, Dylan's immediate reaction was to reach down and pick them up for her...but in his process of bending...something glittering from her chest caught his attention...Something blue...and heart-shaped...with gold trimming...
She......She was wearing it? Had? been wearing it all this time?
So many things hit Dylan full force that he staggered back from the weight of it all. He dropped her arm like something that burned, simply staring at the innocent looking Sapphire necklace he'd purchased for her almost a year ago. No words could describe what he felt in that moment...
And for just a moment, the Slytherin was struck quite speechless...but just for a moment.
"You....wear it?"
So eloquent, Dylan...

Didn't? Pfft. As if she'd take the knack for that one. He was a guy. Guys enjoyed snogging girls. No matter how random it was. No matter who it was. RIGHT? Yeah, that just had to be it. Ugh. And that would then mean that he was lying.
Gah, just why does he keep feeding her lies? She was getting tired of it. Beezus managed a slight shake of head before sighing. REALLY? And she thought he said the girl was so hot. He did say he WANTED to kiss Ariana right? Leave us out of the lie line Dylan.
......
Then he wretched her arm as though she was infectious or something. It startled the best of her and she eyed him questioningly. What the hell was that all about? Hurt, disbelief, and inquiry made up her expression as she looked down on her feet, the books on top of one another in no decent arrangement. She wanted to kick those right now, and send it flying towards his face. How dare he hold her back, tell her not to walk away from him then shun her off just like that without reason?
Wear it? Wear what? She looked up at him, brows furrowed.
"What?" And as she traced where his eyes were directed, she glanced at her necklace and grasped it tighter, somewhat glaring at him, "This? Y-yeah..I've been wearing it for a while. Why?" Did he know who sent it? Was it why he swept her arm away?
That didn't even make sense to her. And to think she was a Ravenclaw.
Zombie Apocalypse Team Leader ★ ★ in a crown of pepperoni and artisan cheese
All Dylan could do was continue to stare in shock. So many feelings and emotions were racing through his body...just from seeing the necklace again....
He'd known she'd been curious about who'd gotten it for her...Dylan had heard her ask people...but no one knew. Therefore, no one could have told her. The reality was that she might have tossed it if she'd known if was from him...and the Slytherin Captain had really wanted her to have it. You know, since it represented her so well...with it's little horns.
At that time in their....friendship?, it had spoken of her deviousness and snark. Both things that he'd absolutely loved about the Ravenclaw...So much had changed in such a short time, though. Nothing about them could be lite and playful anymore. Not on his end...Not with how he felt about her...
Bee couldn't have known...still...that it was from him. The way she was clinging to it...Dylan was sure her reaction would have been a lot different had she known the truth.
In fact, she probably would have ripped it from her neck, then and there, and threw it in his face. For whatever it was worth, that tiny truth alone just....hurt. The truth did hurt, though. Dylan was proof of that.
Not being able to help himself, he moved forward again...getting some of the feeling back in his legs from his earlier shock. It was like he was in a daze, the way he reached up and fingered the charm almost lovingly...
It looked so good on her.
