Where The Green between the Castle and the Stadium
Who Can Attend First year students who need to learn the basics before Quidditch Tryouts, and older students who wish to brush up on their flying skills.
What to Bring School brooms will be provided for all students. Make sure to wear sensible clothing.
Professor Vindictus arrived an hour before the lesson was scheduled to begin and arranged the broomsticks in two neat rows on the green grass located between the Castle and the Quidditch Stadium. Once he finished the task, he stood by and waited for the students to arrive.

Ella was glad Tag was no longer worrying and when she head the familiar TWEEEEET from Vindictus, she followed the blonde boy's lead and headed towards the ground, making a soft landing on the pitch.
The third year examined her sore hand with a frown before heading over to the broom rack and returning the broom she had used during the class. When that was done, she double checked that she had all her things and headed back towards the castle. "Bye Professor, thanks for the lesson."
And now the badger needed ice cream...and a band aid...and maybe some gummy worms. Yup. She did.

Hannah was glad that the lesson was finally over. She landed gracefully on the ground and put her broom back in its rightful place. She looked for her friend so they could walk to the next class together. "Bye professor. Thanks for another great lesson." Whew! That was a close one.
oh man, yesterday was so busy i did not have time to RP!

Sarah was lost in the air, enjoying the breeze while slanting her broom upwards every once and a while.
In fact when she heard the whistle she nearly fell off her broom. Over already? Why don't the fun times last? Thankfully she didn't, she then slanted her broom downwards slightly making sure it was less then forty-five degree angle and she slowly made her decent.
The ground loomed closer and Sarah held on tight, and then... she landed.
"Thank you Professor" she said, after she had put the broom away in the rack.
For the past two hours, Vindictus watched as the students practiced their flying skills and wrote comments next to each of their names on his clipboard. Suddenly, a red light on his magical wristwatch began blinking and he tapped it twice with his right index finger to turn the timer off. He brought his silver officiating whistle up to his lips and blew.

"Well done! It's time to land and place your broomsticks on the broom rack behind me. Other than that, class dismissed!"
Annabelle heard the whistle blown and she was already chilling on the grass so she didn't have to land. She picked up her broom and was heading back to the broom shed. "Thank you very much for the lesson professor. Have a nice day!" Belle said with a cheery smile. She put the broom back where it belonged and headed back up to the castle to do more classes.
Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief when she saw a Prefect arrive to help. It was Gideon, the same prefect who had come to Laura's aid. She knew that Gideon didn't really like her, but she didn't care right now. She wasn't here in Hogwarts to earn awards for popularity. She just wanted to help. That's all she ever wanted to do. She was about to tell him what happened but then Emmaleigh spoke up.
"We don't have to try out my plan now because Gideon is here to help you now. I hope that your foot isn't injured as bad as it looks."Alyssa told Emmaleigh.
"It was nice meeting you Emmaleigh. Thank you for coming to help her Gideon. I guess I should be going now." Alyssa nodded to both of them. Alyssa knew that her help was no longer needed. It was time for her to leave.

Falling off a broom could have killed somebody? Didn't they understand the seriousness?
Alyssa broke him out of his momentary thoughts by mentioning a plan no longer to be used as well as mentioning the name of the girl he didn't know . Well that was helpful. "Ye welcome," he said as the Hufflepuff thanked him for his help before taking his lead. Guess it was up to him now, he mused to himself ready to offer his shoulder instead. And then Professor Vindictus blew his whistle dismissing the class leaving them no reason to have to ask to leave ahead of time.
"Perhaps I should put our brooms away and then help ye to the healer? Sound like a plan...Emmaleigh? My name's Gideon by the way."

OH THANK MERLIN CLASS WAS OVER AND SHE HADN'T DIED.
Relieved beyond belief, Kurumi turned the handle of her broom and made her way back towards the center of the pitch, leaning forward a bit to increase her speed. The sooner she got there the sooner she could be off her broom and back on the ground where things were SAFE and STABLE. She didn't realize it, but she had gotten back some of her Seeker speed just now...problem was the landing...which just so happened to be about the most ungraceful thing Kurumi had ever done.
Once her body stopped rolling, Kurumi hurried and picked herself up off the ground before retrieving her broom and setting it back in the wrack.
It was now here...on the ground...where life was stable that Kurumi finally noticed her friend Emmaleigh. Had that been what had happened in the air? Kurumi really hadn't noticed anything besides the shouting and light screaming. "Emmaleigh, you going to be alright?" Kurumi asked, keeping her distance a bit. Crowding wasn't going to help anything after all.
Emmaleigh looked up at the younger puff and gave her a small smile. “Thanks for your help, Alyssa.” And thanks for reminding me to take care of it properly, She thought to herself. Em had to admit, she was a little disappointed when the girl decided to take her leave. She could have stayed.
Hearing the whistle, Em jumped. too many crazy things had happened to her lately, and they had made her twitchy. She listened to what the flying instructor had to say, and then listened to the plan the Lion had come up with. Well, the first part sounded good, so he nodded. “Sounds okay to me, but I don’t think its bad enough to see the healer. I think all it needs is some rest and some ice.” she just wanted to stop being a bother on everyone else.
Hearing Kurumi, Em looked to see her standing a ways off. “Yeah, I think so. Just sprained my ankle is all. See, nothing broken.” As she said this, she forced her toes to wiggle, and even moved her ankle a little bit. “It’ll just be sore for a few days.”

Eliza had never imagined that she would like being in the air quite so much but she was finding it extremely soothing. “Funny that being so far from the ground makes me feel so relaxed. I thought I’d be afraid for sure!” She leaned to her left and flew in a circle a few times while she waited for the girl to answer her. “Woah, okay, not such a fan of spinning, but the view up here is great!”
She climbed the sky higher and higher, but she still wasn’t even the highest in the sky. She started a modest pace around the grounds. She weaved around a couple of students and found that she controlled the broom fairly well. “Won’t mom be so surprised? I can’t wait to tell her all about this!” she imagined the look on her mother’s face when she heard that her daughter hadn’t even fallen off once. “Caroline won’t ever believe me.” She thought. “Well I’ll just have to show her what her big sister can do when I go home for holiday!”
She was really zooming along nicely now. The girl who'd asked her about flying before seemed to be distracted by some commotion with a Hufflepuff girl who'd injured herself. She hoped the girl was okay, but she didn't want to stop flying. The rush of the wind against her face made her eyes water, but she didn’t care. The droplets hung to her long lashes and several escaped to her rosy cheeks. The brisk autumn air was one of her favorite things and being able to fly around in it was one of the best things she’d ever felt.
And then she head the teacher blow his whistle. “Darn,” she thought “And just when I was really starting to enjoy it too…” She flew her broom back down to the ground to land.
“Thanks Professor, that was a really great lesson!” she beamed as she set her broom with the others.
She just sat there on the ground. Her ankle hurt, her head hurt, and well, her rear end hurt. Feeling someone rushing towards her, she instinctively flinched. Realizing it was someone coming to help she shrugged at the girl’s question. “I guess. The broom hit my head kinda hard, but I don’t think its that bad. Don’t know about my ankle though.” She looked up as the new girl was yelling at the girl that had apparently startled her. “I should just hex her.” Em said angerly, but she knew better than to try that. Besides the whole not performing a spell on other students, It could have seriously injured the girl if she fell from the broom; not to mention all the people zooming around would be caught in the crossfire. Wiggling her ankle at the girl’s question, she winced. It hurt, a lot. “I think I’ll be fine.” She said, lying hoping it would be. Since she didn’t have any sort of wrap available, she leaned forward, and pulled the laces of her boot super tight hoping that would act as a wrap, and keep it from swelling. Forcing herself up off the ground, winced again as she put even the smallest amount of weight on it. She took a limping step and stopped. This was not going to work.

As she limped a few more steps, she heard what the girl had said. She knew this. All of the many times she had sprained her ankle, she couldn’t believe she was trying to walk on it. Right, RICE “No, you’re right, I need to get this boot off.” the puff said as she carefully set herself back down on the ground. Looking down at the boot she commented. “It needs compression though.” Her bag, with all of her first aid stuff was back in her dorm room, sitting on her bed. “I need something to…” she began before reaching down and loosening her boot all the way and carefully sliding it off of her foot. Reaching up, she untied her yellow and black house tie, and wrapped her foot in it.
Em listened to the girl’s idea before shaking her head. She knew she would be safer here on the ground. She couldn’t fall again, and it was unlikely anyone, except her, would be flying so close to the ground. And she didn’t want back on a broom. Instead of saying all this, she told the girl another reason why she didn’t think it was a good idea. “It needs to be elevated, and iced.” Leaning back, she lifted her ankle up to get it above her heart. Looking up, she tried to ignore all the kids on brooms, and pretend that she was by the lake.
Em looked up as someone came over asking what was wrong. “Some blasted fool did a ‘fly-by’ and made me fall off of that stupid broom. I landed on the ankle I twisted earlier in the lesson.” She wasn’t going to tell him the first injury came from her being a klutz and she wasn’t going to tell how high she had been when she fell.

Seeing Em limping He sends the bird to her with instruction so watch her incase another fly by is to happen .Cupping his hands to his mouth he shouts " Em meet me in the common room I will patch you up" Grabbing up his back pack he points to the bird then back to Em Letting her know to release Bubba from his duty when he is no longer needed

At the sound of the whistle, Sierra automatically pulled back on her broom. She came to a complete stop in mid-air then gave the boy (Fira) a look that said she'd talk to him later. Normally, she'd be happy to see the end of class come around, but for flying, she'd make an exception.
Ahhh, well. Another Quidditch tryout would be soon anyway.
She landed on her broom then went and placed it on the broom rack. "Thanks, Professor," she said, giving him a nod of her head in appreciation for letting her come along to brush up before tryouts. Then she followed the rest of the students who were heading off the grassy area and back toward the castle.

With a disappointed sigh she looked to Penelope. "We'll have another chance, I hope?" She gave the girl a questioning stare before gently landing her broom and placing it with the others.
Just when Penelope was getting ready and excited for a race with Alexa...the class was over. Aww man. She thought there was still loads of time. Apparently not though. Meh. Oh well. Penelope nodded at Alexa. "Definitely! Maybe we can try at the practice pitch sometime." She wasn't sure when though. Hopefully really soon.
She landed swiftly, stumbling juuust a bit, then dismounted the broom and put it with the others. "Great lesson, Professor!" she told Professor Vindictus as she passed him and headed for the castle. She'd probably swing by the Great Hall or the kitchen for a snack now. Flying made her hungry.

The shrill sound of a whistle brought Pao back to his senses. More instructions? Maybe he was going to teach them something fancy!
"Oh." Yes, this was a let down. "We're done already?" he semi-whined. Just when he was getting the hang of this thing, too. Okay, what did the old dude say about landing?
Leaning slightly forward, he directed his broom handle downwards and began to gather speed. He pulled back up slightly until he thought he had achieved the optimum 45 degree angle and prepared for a running landing. He doubted he would be graceful enough to pull off a dead stop on his first try.
Legs working, he was ten feet from the ground. "Clear the runway!" he yelled. Five feet. Two feet. "Aaaaaand touchdown!" he rejoiced, feeling his feet contact the ground and needing a few steps to slow himself. Pao ran over to the elderly instructor and held up his broom. "Thanks, Mister Vindictus! That was awesome!" After a few seconds, he realized he was supposed to rack the broom himself and quickly did so. Then he half walked, half skipped back up to the castle.

It was a shame class had to end so much sooner than Vivi liked, but at least she'd had a chance to FLY, and really... she had things to do and people to annoy and firsties to poison. Oh, just kidding about that part.
"Thanks for the lesson, Prof V." She gave him a little salute and hopped over to the rack to put her broom carefully in its place. "Prof... this is a sweet broom. I hope I can borrow it again if I make the Quidditch team." Since her parents were lame and didn't think she could handle a broom. Right. Of age witch here couldn't handle a stick of wood.
Time to safely land on the ground..key word SAFELY. She let the handle tip a bit forward...and she found herself going VERY slowly towards EARTH. As she neared the ground going about -ten thousand miles per hour, she put out her feet and felt them land nice and softly on the ground...
GREAT! Yaaaay!
She tucked the broom under her arm and brought it to the shed..she waved goodbye to Hannah...and positively glared at Presley's cousin...and then made her way off the pitch...
WHEW.
