Minerva took off and followed behind Taylor. She leaned to the left and then again to the right making zig zags down the field. As she got more comfortable she did some going up in the air and then again going down making sure she wasn't going to hit any other students.

Minerva then slowed to a stop before reaching the other end of the pitch. She wanted to see if she still remembered how to do the figure eights. Leaning to the right and moving forward she began the figure eight. When finished she smiled knowing things were coming back to her. So this was easier then riding a bike, since she couldn't do that. Leaning forward she went to the end of the pitch that Taylor was at and waited for their next instruction.

Ella was busy having a staring contest with the crazy bee so when the mean Slytherin came flying towards her out of nowhere, Ells wasn't exactly expecting it. Luckily for her, she was used to unexpected things happening during this class, especially after the crazy squirrels. Instead of flailing or falling over or whatever the girl had intended to happen, Ells simply leaned forward and flew out of the way, head down in case anything really was flying at her. The last thing she needed was to be knocked out this high in the air. Though maybe she deserved it what with the bludgers she'd sent at Theodore during Quidditch.

Frown. And apparently the Slytherin girl wasn't done bothering her classmates, though it appeared that Hufflepuffs were her main target. Meh. That wasn't right. The third year did her best Oakey glare at the girl in green and then continued on practicing, keeping her eye out for the Hufflepuff firsties in case that girl decided to continue being all evil.

Oh! And the bee...It was still just hanging out on Ella's leg. Yeah, she was a regular bee magnet, apparently. She blamed her shampoo, really. Her hair totally smelt good and the bee was probably waiting for some food or whatever. Meh. Turning her broom again and heading towards the far end of the pitch, Ells eventually slowed to a stop and frowned at the creature. "Alright you...you bee. You need to fly away...now." Cue a stern look and some finger wiggling in the direction of the insect. Ohhhh yeah. Ella meant business.

'I'll mind my own business, GIRL!! when you stop playing pranks on people and getting them hurt. If you like doing that so much, why don't you do that to Professor Vindictus or any of the prefects?" Alyssa called up to the Slytherin. "Let's see whether they will duck for you too." Alyssa shook her head and decided to ignore the young Snake. Cautioning her really wasn't her job anyway. Turning back to the older Puff, she asked.

"Do you think you can stand up or would you prefer that I find a Prefect or Professor Vindictus to come here?"

They'd been flying for a while now, and by this point, Sierra found herself itching to go and grab her bat and hit a few bludgers around. Of course she didn't, though. It was just her natural instinct to want to get out there and be competitive. She thought about Scarlet, her bat, sitting down there in the common room. Her mother had given it to her nearly six Christmases ago, hence the reason the bat had the middle name Scarlet.

Sierra edged around the next curve, taking the opportunity to rise and go a bit higher in her flight. Not too high, though. She knew Vindictus wouldn't be too happy if he caught her flying above the limits he'd likely set for his class. She flew straight again, bypassing a few younger students riding a bit slower on the broom. Her instincts also had her searching the field, looking for any possible Quidditch players.

Hmm... Maybe a few here and there.

Annabelle was already loving the idea of flying around on campus. She wanted to do a couple of tricks. She figured she could trip to do the loop. Belle trained to do this back home in her pumpkin patch. She gripped her broom pretty tightly and her thigh muscles tightened around the broom. She went around in a 360 circle and she was glad that she did it. Belle felt dizzy a little bit and knew not to do it again for a while. Belle was steering her broom and looking around for people to help. It was in her line of prefect duty to help out. She had one trick in mind...she wanted to do a back flip off the broom. She was trained with gymnastics back home, and the broom kept flying and she put her hands on the broom handle, let her body do a back flip and landed on the seat! "Yeah i did it!" Belle said happily.

Hmm? Penelope went back to hovering when Alexa wanted to know how to do the loops. The second year smiled and then watched when Alexa tried to copy her but seemed to get stuck and stop. "Keep going," she said, guiding her broom forward a bit so she was near the first year again. "Keep pulling up and keep a tight grip on the handle." 'Cause, y'know, don't wanna fall off or anything. Penelope did the same, moving her broom forward, though making sure not to go TOO fast, and pulling up, up, up, until she'd made a niiiice little loop and was right-side-up once again. See? Nothing too hard.

It was then Penelope noticed the situation with some Slytherin girl and two Hufflepuffs, one of whom she recognized as Alyssa. Hmm? What was going on? Penelope wasn't really sure.

Zip...zig....zag.

Yep...flying class had its disavantages, one being more that fifteen flyers up in the air at one time. Gideon had done another dive and found himself nearly swarmed with younger students and the occasional fellow seventh year. Was that Genevieve over there? He leaned over and swooped swiftly to one side and up a little, narrowly pulling past a couple of third years that seemed to pop up out of thin air to avoid shooting right through them. It had been either that or going straight up or down and he really wasn't in the mood for that steep a dive or climb.

Managing to find a clear avenue, the prefect settled into a clear, straight flying route for a few minutes. Just to catch one's breath and relax a little. No telling what Vindictus had in store for the next round.

She just sat there on the ground. Her ankle hurt, her head hurt, and well, her rear end hurt. Feeling someone rushing towards her, she instinctively flinched. Realizing it was someone coming to help she shrugged at the girl’s question. “I guess. The broom hit my head kinda hard, but I don’t think its that bad. Don’t know about my ankle though.” She looked up as the new girl was yelling at the girl that had apparently startled her. “I should just hex her.” Em said angerly, but she knew better than to try that. Besides the whole not performing a spell on other students, It could have seriously injured the girl if she fell from the broom; not to mention all the people zooming around would be caught in the crossfire. Wiggling her ankle at the girl’s question, she winced. It hurt, a lot. “I think I’ll be fine.” She said, lying hoping it would be. Since she didn’t have any sort of wrap available, she leaned forward, and pulled the laces of her boot super tight hoping that would act as a wrap, and keep it from swelling. Forcing herself up off the ground, winced again as she put even the smallest amount of weight on it. She took a limping step and stopped. This was not going to work.

Belle decided it was time for her to land and go back on the ground. She had enough of flying around and plus her hair was getting tangled from being wind blown. She steered her broom down to the ground, after she was about 3 inches from the ground. She sat up in the right position to slow the broom down, then leaned backward so her feet touched the ground and knew she was done with flying lesson for now. She was sitting on the grass admiring other people flying and learning their new skills. She might even go talk to the teacher for a bit.

Faster, see, she could go faster. NOW she would totally be able to out chase a butterfly. Yep. Was Selina watching? Did she see how Kurumi was flying at a decent speed now? Granted, this speed was going to be nothing compared to what she needed to do for tryouts...

Not going to think about that now...
.........and Kurumi really did not want to think about how she was looking either. Especially not in the light that West said she did. She did not need to...do that. What she thought she needed to do was put her feet back on the ground though.

"Um...I-I suppose..." she stammered as she leaned forward and increased her speed just a little more. Oh yeah, butterflies would soon be eating her dust. YEAH!

But then she was sort of eating West's dust as he went zooming off somewhere. That was fine, she could just keep gliding here....

Fighting...there was fighting....on BROOMS....IN THE AIR.

Kurumi was already stressed out as it was and all the noise and people crashing into one another was causing the Gryffindor to tremble like a leaf on her broom. Her knuckles WERE white by now and she did not fancy falling off her broom again. Nor could she really fly high enough to actually do anything about this. She was freaked out enough as it was being somewhere around 20 feet in the air and flying at a decent speed.

"C-C-Can we all just stop arguing and be more careful....p-p-p-please," Kurumi stammered.

More importantly...WAS JORDAN OKAY?!

Lex felt her cheeks get a bit warmer at the girl's encouragement for her to keep going. It was quite clear that she nearly killed herself just now trying the flip and now she was a bit hesitant about it.

Her eyes followed Penelope's every movement as she listened to her suggestion. Nod. Got it. Then she saw her flip again. When it was her turn to try she gripped the handle and took an uncertain glance at her before sucking in a deep breath and pulling up.

Up...up...UP.

Before Lex knew it she was doing a flip! She actually did the flip!!!!! Once her broom settled horizontally again she flashed Penelope a wide grin. "That was amazing! Thanks for teaching me that!!!" And seeing as it was that fun she just had to try it again...and again. Soon she was doing multiple flips in one go but she had to stop when she felt herself growing nauseous. "Ugh...well that feeling isn't so amazing..." She said with a little chuckle, willing to laugh at her small failure this time.

Awar looked around her. She was floating smack in the middle! Okay, let's practice speed. She leaned forward.

Apparently, quite too much because she speed forward. She screamed and pulled the handle back up. "Too much!" She tried it again, gently.

The broom flew smoothly. Okay, just like that. Zoom. Stop. Zoom. Stop. Zoom. Stop.

Elliot merely shook her head at Hannah...she couldn;t even speak...she was scared she would start throwing up or something.

UGH.

She then decided to fly to the end of the pitch..she was only about ten feet off the ground, and she didn't want to go ANY higher...so she zoomed(well, actually she was only going about...five miles per hour...) to the other end...and when she made it safely, she took a deep breath...

She watched as Hannah zoomed around...lucky girl. Elliot envied her. "Oy! Hannah! What about Soaps?" she called out, clearly enjoying the game Hannah was playing...she saw Soapy earlier in the class...too bad Hannah hadn't made her fall off her broom.

Stupid puffers.

Elliot wished she could play...

Hannah had to count to ten in her head so she wouldn't say anything that would surely land her a detention. She wasn't even completely sure of what the girls name was, but she knew of her in class. Who couldn't know who she was when she constantly had an answer for everything and was always in somebodys business. Ugh. What an eager beaver, over achiever. Hannah wasn't even being rude to anybody...which was a first for her.





Great! Now there was a prefect involved. "I was just trying to get everybody involved in flying." Which was true. Everything was ok until the one puffer had to be all dramatic and fall off her broom. Then the other nosey puffer had to come and stir stuff up. "I didn't mean for anybody to get hurt." Hannah was sure that she was in deep trouble. Her parents were going to kill her.



Hannah was glad to see her friend...support her. Of course she knew that she would. Hannah had to supress a snort when she asked about Soaps! Luckily for Soaps Hannah didn't see her in time. Still she shot her friend a face that clearly said that she may have went too far this time. Knowing full and well that Elliot would know that it meant more than just simply a point loss or a detention. Although she truly hoped that she didn't get either one of those. Hannah was on thin ice with her parents.

So...perhaps pointing and glaring at the bee wasn't exactly a smart thing to do. Especially because suddenly the bee took off from Ella's leg and disappeared out of sight, only to appear moments later by Ella's left ear. She only knew it was there because she could hear extremely loud buzzing uncomfortably close to her. It gave her goosebumps and she frowned. Oh Merlin's Beard! Couldn't ONE flying lesson go by without something ridiculous happening to her?

Deciding to try and out fly the little bug, the third year leaned forward and took off, flying as fast as she dared with so many people in the air. Unfortunately, the bee seemed to have eated its Wheaties that morning as it was keeping up and still VERY close to her ear.

BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

MEEP. Ells zigged and zagged, dodging her classmates as she tried to rid herself of her little buzzing shadow. Nothing seemed to be working though and Mr. bee seemed to be getting more and more angry. What had she done, anyway? Was her hair too shiny? WAS THAT IT? Or maybe it was because it smelled like flowers?! Meh. Curse that shampooo.

Penelope grinned. It was incredibly awesome to watch the girl follow her advice and succeed. And it was even better seeing how happy she was after performing the loop successfully. "You're welcome! You did really awesome!" But it seemed she was a little too happy with her success since she continued with several more. Oh. Penelope probably should've warned her against doing that...but how was she to know that Alexa would continue trying it over and over and over? She did laugh a little though. "Yeah, usually it's best to just do one or two at a time." Otherwise you got sick, and that took all the fun out of it.

Guiding her broom forward a bit before turning and stopping to hover on Alexa's other side, Penelope glanced down for a moment and, seeing no indication that they were to stop flying freely and move on to the next part of the lesson juuuust yet, looked back at Alexa and asked, "You wanna race?"

Silvia zipped down the center of the field, but not so fast that she wouldn't be able to dodge the other students. A left here, a dip down there. She reached the end of the field and turned around, making her way towards the center, descending a little on the way. Finding a small space that wasn't too crowded, she slowed down and came to a stop.

Silvia took a moment to watch the others. It seemed like most of the younger and inexperienced students were beginning to get a good feel for their brooms and having their feet floating above the ground. Then she spotted the first year Hufflepuff she had met on the train a number of feet below her. By now Silvia felt she had warmed up enough. So she might as well check to see how the younger student was doing. She lowered her broom slightly and called out.

"Awar," she said. And then, "Doing alright?"

Elliot watched as St. Kurumi pleaded with Hannah to stop...Merlin, the prefect looked worse than Elliot! Which she didn't even think was possible! She gritted her teeth, and made it over to Hannah...who was muuuuuch higher than Elliot, and she felt herself trembling.

"H-h-how are you this high?" she asked, not being able to stop her stuttered from her...sudden fear. "I afraid of h-h-heights...I don't usually tell people...." which Hannah could understand...

She suddenly accidentally leaned to the left, and sharply, for she suddenly went zooming back to the goalposts...

AAAAHHHHHH!!

Elliot wasn't screaming, but she definitely was on the inside! Her heart was fluttering at her throat, and she saw her short life flashing before her eyes...AAAHHH! She then gulped, squinted her eyes, and tried to focus. FOCUS.

She gripped her broom, and pulled back a bit...there...sloooower...SLOOWWER. And finally a stop. She found herself near one of the goal posts...oh joy. Good thing she hadn't run into it! Oh Merlin that would have been terrible! She turned around, and saw Hannah...oh Merlin...she was probably laughing her pants off right now...

She slowly flew back over to Hannah...clearly not enjoying this. At all.

Just when he was building up his confidence to try making a slow dive, he felt someone knock him on the head. As he flailed to keep his balance, his eyes grew wide and his heart began to race. He registered the scream as a word about two seconds later. "Hey, whaa...?" At least he had managed to stay on the broom. Maybe he had found someplace where he wasn't a klutz!

And then he saw the culprit zooming away, a somewhat playful look on her face. So perhaps this was her idea of some kind of game? Well, the Mancinis never passed up opportunities to play games...

Nudging the broom handle forward, Pao urged the broom downwards by flattening himself against the handle, though not too quickly. He began to lose altitude; the dive was beginning to build momentum. Wind rushing in his ears, eyes squinting in concentration, the first year grew more and more confident and sped up. "Yeah!" Best lesson ever!

He looked up again to spot the instigator. Just in time he noticed that she seemed to be involved with some sort of disagreement with an older Hufflepuff student he recognized. "Aw maaaaaan!" He had been closing the gap, too! With a small lean to the right the boy avoided the situation and headed for a clear space.

Awar screeched to a stop. Someone called her name. Who was it? She looked side to side, then up. SILVIA! She kept one hand gripped on the handle and waved with the other. "Hey! Yeah, I'm fine. Just takes a little bit of getting used to."

She leaned forward and turned to the left and then to the right. Hey! I think I got the hang of this! She turned to go back to Silvia, but somehow went the opposite and bumped into...GASP. ELLIOT! Awar quickly tried to turn the other way to get away from her as fast as possible.

Cassia looked around her to notice that clearly getting on the broom and fly a couple of feet ahead wasn't enough. She had to ride again. Fine she could do that no problem but she'd appreciate it if no one bumped into her because she wasn't good at making quick reactions when she's in mid-air and she didn't want to go to the infirmary to the nurse.

The second-year straddled the broom again and pushed the ground lightly. She didn't really have problem taking off. The harder part was staying on the broom when increasing speed and taking turns. That Cassia had to work on. She kept on an average speed at first, as usual. She really hoped to spend he rest of the lesson like that. Flying forward easily and smoothly. But probably Professor Vindy would mind considering you know she didn't do anything. Though she didn't have to because that was why she wasn't trying-out for Quidditch because again too many eyes watching.

So Cassia tightened her grip on the broom's handle if that was even possible and she pushed a liiiitle bit to the right. Just don't bump into me! She sent a silent message to all students around her. Would they get it? Nah…besides older students would be mean and would intentionally bump into her. It just the way they are, older kids.

Still a bit let down, Pao tried to focus on the positives. I just had a great dive! Okay, perhaps 'great' was too generous of a term. But considering he hadn't crashed on his first ever try? He was practically a pro at this sport. Well, for him. Seriously, though, the fact that he was balancing on a broom when he couldn't manage to stay upright with two feet on the ground... Pao just shook his head, giddy with pleasure at his discovery of a previously unknown talent.

Since he wanted a bit more practice before the next instruction set, he commenced practicing figure eight patterns. Left curve, right curve. Left, right. Reverse direction. Maybe try for a bit more speed? He flew closer to the ground; then, speeding up, the boy wove tighter and tighter patterns in the sky. I've gotta tell Aunt Faith about this! Maybe he would go up to her office straight after this lesson was over.

Ella had been flying for quite some time now and she still hadn't lost the bee, who was buzzing louder than ever. Deciding that maybe she could simply trick the bee, the badger came up with a plan. She was going to keep flying and when the bee least expected it, she was going to stop short, totally catching the bee off guard. Hehehe. Such a good plan. What could go wrong?!

The blonde did as she had planned, continuing to fly forward and then very quickly, when she felt the bee was gaining on her, stopping. She jerked up right, causing her broom to halt quite suddenly. Luckily she was holding on tight so she didn't go flying forwards off of it. Looking around, she was PLEASED to see that the bee was no where in sight. YES! Clearly the bee was no match for her an-

BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

MEEP! The bee was flying straight towards her now, headed right for her nose and quite angry. She had no time to react other than bringing her hand up to block her face. It was only a minute before she felt the stinger go in. "OUCH!" She got out before she watched the bee fly away, clearly pleased with itself.

Lesson learnt!" Lex stated, taking a moment to try steadying herself so she could get rid of the rising nausea. She would never do so many flips again. This was just proof that you could have too much of a good thing!

Alexa watched Penelope settle into a hovering action next to her again, this time she was more lined up. A race? "Yeah sure!" That actually sounded like a lot of fun! Plus it didn't seem like they would have to land just yet so she was up for it. "Where's the finish line?" She asked eagerly, squinting her eyes in an attempt to see just how far they could fly without it being considered tooo far. Ultimately it was up to Penelope because she wan't all that familiar with the grounds...or well...above the grounds, just yet.

Elliot was just starting to get the hang of it..Merlin...she hated flying!

Then, the fourteen-year-old suddenly felt someone COLLIDE into her...She whipped around...and it was Presley's cousin...hmm...firstly...She wasn't on speaking terms with her...and secondly...she hadn't liked Awar...at the feast. The Ravenclaw tried her best to chase after the girl...but she just couldn't bring herself to go fast enough...So she stuck with, "Oy! PufferBlack! Watch it!" she said harshly, wanting to bump into HER and see how SHE liked it!

Elliot then made her broom go a little faster..and she made to the other end of the pitch! Without epicly failing!
