Taylor came skipping down the path to the flying lesson. She was grinning and happy for the lesson since she adored flying as well as liked the professor. "Good day, Professor Vindictus!" Tay twirled and then held out a bag of brownies, "Here you go." Taylor had made them the day before and hoped he would like them. "Do you need any help?"

Nigel arrived at Flying lesson wanting to catch up on his flying. Plus Nigel did seem to enjoy the lessons. The only bad part was he had to use the school's broom. But whatever, it was flying. Nigel walked over to Professor Vindictus and said

"Hello, Professor Vindictus"

Nigel then walk over to a empty spot on the grass and waited to see what they would be doing today.

Alright, Flying!

Lex was pretty sure that this would be one of her favourite lessons simply because she liked flying on broomsticks with her father and she had loved the liberty she received when he started allowing her to fly alone and actually play in the little family games of Quidditch during special occasions.

This was one class she didn't want to be late for! Who would ever be late for such a class anyway? Only a nut job would hate flying..yeah so she was a nut job, regardless of her love for flying which only meant that even a nut job loved flying so no one could hate it, right? RIGHT!

Once she arrived at the predetermined area she flashed a wide and somewhat eager smile at the Professor. "Good day Professor." BEAM.

No...she wasn't always this happy but these were special circumstances, seriously, what 11 year old wouldn't be psyched to fly? It was the best thing ever!

Okay so the class note said first years and those who wanted to brush up on their flying skills. And one might not think a seventh year that had been on the quidditch team for the last three years would count themselves in that number. But it had said that ever year and every class and it was no matter...the class usually didn't disappoint in the non-boring category. Plus it was more time to get to fly and that attracted a flyer like Gideon Gert very much.

As such, the prefect made his way down to the green by the pitch. He might have been early as there weren't many already there when Gideon arrived. "Good day Professor," he greeted with a polite nod as he took a stance off to one side to await the start of the class..

Thank MERLIN she wasn't the only seventh year there. Genevieve elbowed Gert as she approached the waiting broomsticks on the grass. Excellent. Flying lessons were always an excuse to get some rowdy exercise in during the school day, and she couldn't imagine why more older students didn't take advantage.

"Hey, Ma.... Professor Vindictus," Vivi wiggled her fingers at him. And then elbowed Gert again. He PROBABLY deserved it.

It took Melanie a while to get to the place where the lesson was being held. It really wasn't easy with all the moving staircases but she had made it! Melanie could see the green just before her as she jogged over, hoping she wasn't late. Her hair swung back and forth in its ponytail as she did so. She wasn't late, right? The fourth year was just about to reach the professor before tripping over her shoelaces which had become untied when Melanie put them on in a hurry.

Embarrassed and quite red in the face the girl quickly pulled herself up from the ground. "Hello professor," Melanie managed to say. She quickly scampered over to join the rest of the students. It hadn't been that embarrassing had it? People's eyes hadn't all been on her right?

Staying quiet the girl bent down to tie her shoelaces, double knotting them, before standing back up, willing her cheeks to stop being so red.

Silvia didn't really need a lesson in flying; but she loved flying and it never hurt to brush up on her skills. She didn't play quidditch and therefore did not get to fly as often as the students who did. So she liked to take any chance she could get to get on a broom.

"Hello, Professor Vindictus," the third year Claw greeted to her Head of House as she walked onto the grassy area where they would be having their first lesson of the term. She had arrived early, as she almost always was. So she stood and waited, excited at the prospect of finally getting back into the air.

Time for flying.

This was the one class every year where Selina knew she could go and just have a brilliant time. Any chance to get to fly during the day was something that she would happily take up. Even if she was the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain and knew quite well how to fly. And besides, she would much rather be here and flying then in the library doing work on some other class. The library always did give Selina the creepers. Also, she really wanted to get some fresh air. This whole fiasco with her missing beater bat had her head all messed up in every which way. Well, more messed up then usual.

Walking onto the Pitch, she nodded to Vindictus, "Hello Professor? Good summer?" Was he glad to be back at school?

Louisa took her time strolling down the path to the usual spot where professor Vee usually held most of the flying lessons. It'd be very nice if, for once, she attended the sporty class and actually handled a broom well. Her final year, and probably last chance of having the opportunity to learn how to fly on a broom without any nausea, freak-out-ness, or falling-from-five-feet-high-ness. Hopefully.

With those good intentions in mind and heart, the Head Girl smiled and waved serenely at her Head of House. "Hello professor!" she turned her attention to the others and came to stand next to Gideon, one of the older students to be present so far. She didn't want any firsties wiping their candy!dirt on her skirt. Hmph.

If it weren't for the fact that Selina had FORCED Kurumi almost at wand point to sign up for Quidditch again Kurumi would not be here. Well, she would be here...but only long enough to deliver cookies to Professor Vindicus and maybe wait on the ground to see if he needed any assistance and then she would have scurried back off towards the castle. As it was...now the seventh year actually NEEDED this lesson. Especially if Selina was SOOOOOOOOOOO SURE that Kurumi would be able to play Seeker again.

Kurumi loved her best friend, really...she did. But the girl had gone completely batty!

She was thankful for the long sleeves of her robes because the moment she had woken up that morning a nerve induced rash had made its way all the way up them and she was having a hard time not scratching. Thank goodness she had to carry a box of cookies in her hands. It offered a distraction.

"Good day, Professor Vindictus," Kurumi greeting, trying to make it sound cheerful and excited when all she felt right now was the desire to run back to her room and hide under the bed from Selina. "Here are the usual, but I added extra chocolate this time." And she handed over the box of cookies.

Just no one mention her singing up for Quidditch? Okay? Thanks. Itch itch itch itch.

She then went and stood beside Selina. "I hope you're happy," she grumbled under her breath.

They may have been few students to start with but it didn't seem to be staying that way for long as more and more of his fellow students and even classmates showed up. Nudge...Gideon felt what seemed like an elbow being nudged into him. He had just about reconized Genevieve's voice as she spoke a greeting and turned to look at her when the Ravenclaw nudged him again. "Aye...ye nudged?"

And then Gideon spotted first Selina and then another lion friend of his. The redhead he fully expected seeing as she lived for flying and was quidditch captain after all. Kurumi not so much. Sure he had seen her in flying class once or twice since he had met her but she had never seemed very comfortable especially in comparison to the other lessons. And he had simply figured she might drop it her final year.

Selina must have dragged her bestie along.

"Hey guys," Gideon greeted, offering what he hoped was an encouraging smile to his fellow prefect.

Ariana strolled onto the patch of grass where flying would be taking place. ehh she just wanted to fly and brush up a wee bit before tryouts so here she was "Hello Professor!"

Alice skipped into the Quidditch Pitch, bubbling with enthusiasm. She'd been itching to get her hands on a broom not like the KURUMI itching but the other kind since the last school year. No, she couldn't afford one, but the school brooms served just as nicely. "Hello, Professor Vindinctus," she said, keeping her eyes trained on the brooms. And Kurumi's cookies.

AHEM.

Alice deserved on of those, too.

She hopped over and stood nonchalantly behind Kurumi, silently demanding cookies. She had become addicted since she had downed at least a dozen of them at the Feast. Hey, they were amazingly delicious! The lioness couldn't help herself. She had more longing for Kurumi-cookies than she did for flying. But.. then.. NO. She gave the whole box to Vindinctus. Drat. She would have to beg Kurumi for another batch later, she would.

Okay, so Sierra was far from a beginner when it came to flying, but seeing as she knew her future career would call for a heavy amount of time spent on a broomstick, she thought it'd be best to perfect it. She headed outside and toward where she knew the lesson would take place. Up ahead, she could see Vinny Boy standing and waiting for the students.

Mehhh.

Still, though, she needed him to do her a really big favor, so she grinned at him and gave him her best greeting. "Hello, Professor Vindictus," she said, then stood with the others waiting for things to get started.

Right. Flying. Here we gooo....

Vickers trotted up to the greens where Flying classes were being held. "Good Morning Professor." he greeted his Head of House before standing behind a row of laid out brooms on the grass. He looked around and realized theres quite a number of students from his year attending said class as well. Awesome! Eyes back onto the brooms-- now if he could figure out a way to not fall off them during sudden turns...

Another Flying lesson on the basics? Beezus sighed a bit. This was why Indy did not attend most of Professor's lessons. The blonde would say she was hardly a basic flyer. But Beezus thought it was still necessary, although deep inside, she already had some thoughts on what they're doing today. Either they were playing hair-pulling with pixies or do a dodging game with overgrown creatures popping from mid air.

Gliding through the grass, she offered a greeting to their Head of House, "Good day Professor Vindictus." Beezus smiled and gave him a little bow before walking towards her classmates. Hmm.. there were still quite a few them, most of them she knew, others, perhaps were new. She went to stand beside Sierra.

Another year, another attempt at flying. Emmaleigh headed down towards the field in front of the quiddich pitch. The seventh year was incredibly apprehensive about the lesson. She had tried learning to fly for several terms now, but she was here to try again. And she was glad to be here with Vindictus again. He was a lot nicer than the professor she had had last year at New Bern. She smiled a little to herself as she saw other seventh years gathered on the field. “Hello Professor.” She said as she walked up and stood there waiting.

So it was flying time, and Lily was happy about everything but the fact that it reminded her that she still didn't have a broom...even though she had owled Benjy at the soonest possible time to tell him that she needed a broom. But he still hadn't gotten back to her. But the third year put on a smile as she walked up to the first flying lesson. "Hello Professor Vindictus... it's good to see you again." Which was true... after the past year's adventure, it was good to see the professor still at the school and still Lily's HoH and favorite teacher.

The redhead gave Taylor a lopsided left-handed wave and a smile. Louisa and Vickers both got big grins and a lopsided wave as well. Everyone else in the lesson got smiles before Lily made her way over to the group so that she could wait for instructions.

It'd had been about a year since Travis had even touched a broom... and he was already signing up for Quidditch. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Luckily the Sporty-Athletic Man was teaching a basics lesson again, before the try-outs were happening. Trav was so taking advantage of that, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop him! Travis walked down the grounds... wait... Vindictus wasn't in the stadium. He was in the empty field outside of it.

Maybe Mr. Professor-Head-of-House, was scared all the new flyers would mess up his field. Which was completely legitimate... for some. Trav still thought it was weird.

" 'Lo Professor." Trav said softly with a polite nod. then plopped himself down on the grass before the Vindictus. His legs made a pretzel and he waited for Vindy's instructions.

:: Ganymede galloped over to the area and eyed up the brooms nearby. She was so excited about this lesson. She signed up for Quidditch Try outs and really needed this lesson.

She rolled up her sleeves and stuffed her shirt into her pants. She didn't want anything to go wrong while flying in the air. ::

Even if it was only a "basics" class, Penelope was more than excited when she left the castle for the lesson that day. It had been ages since she had flown a broom - or, if not ages, at least a few months, which was basically the same thing. The second year was more than ready get on a broom again, especially before Quidditch tryouts started. She didn't want to mess up because she'd somehow forgotten how to fly properly, after all.

Reaching the area where everyone seemed to be gathered, she actually greeted Professor Vindictus with a smile. "Hi, Professor." Then she took her place amongst the rest of her classmates, hoping the lesson would start really soon.

"Very," Selina smirked to Kurumi when her best friend mopped over to her on the Pitch. She knew that Kurumi had been very upset that Selina had threatened coeherced her into trying out for Quidditch, but the redhead was thrilled. Even though Kurumi could not see it right now- Selina was doing her a favor. The seventh year had once been excellent at Quidditch. She had flown higher and faster then anyone she had seen in her prime, even more than her seeker last term. The redhead was just doing Kurumi a service by forcing her back out onto the Pitch. Besides, Kurumi had always been a very positive person to have on the team. The prefect brought such enthusiasm and cookies to practices. Selina had missed that.

So she was happy. Kurumi had to deal with it.

With a smug smirk on her face from her small interaction with Kurumi, Selina did not notice Gideon or Genevieve on the Pitch when the two of them arrived. It was not until Gideon said hello that Selina even noted his presence. But when she did, the sixth year smiled at him and Genevieve, "Hey there Gideon," she whispered, "Hello, Sherlock. I see that you decided this would be a good place to investigate." Why didn't Selina think of that? That was why Genevieve was here, no? To investigate the kidnapping of Mortimer?

So this was a test of sorts. West liked to fly, obviously, and he could always use the excuse of no practice being too much practice, but really he was here to sort of seeeee if Professor Vindictus knewwwww about certain things that West's dad had told him he had to do.

The youngest Odessa just sorta hung out amongst the throng of students. You know, not drawing attention to himself.

Maybe Vindy had forgotten about the broom incident.

Just breathe..

Violet had felt her heart pounding from the moment she got up this morning. Mainly because she knew that today was the class that she was terrified of attending and that was: Flying. Now it wasn't that Violet was afraid of flying, it was more so the person who would be teaching it that she was afraid of. She had a flashback of what happened between her and Vindictus, the day he took 20 points from her for bringing her broom with her back in her first year to flying. Ever since then she had been terrified of going back, but today when she read the notice board that there would be lessons for flying on the pitch Violet said to herself that had to do this! So she gathered her courage and marched onto that Quidditch Pitch.

As she stepped onto the pitch her courage seemed to quickly start fizzling out and her heart beat was so loud that it seemed to tone out her hearing. But she tried breathing slowly as she approached the Professor. Violet cleared her throat, gave him a kind smile and said with a slight shaken voice,"Hello Professor Vindictus.." After a moment she then began making her way towards the other students, feeling a slightly bit more relieved...but not entirely.
