Once you enter the Divination tower classroom from the ladder in the ceiling of the corridor below you will see it set up the same as usual apart from the drapes being pulled back and the windows open to let the spring air in.
The normal clutter along the front wall where the professor's desk was didn't allow for any real notion of what the leson will be about so don't spend too much time worrying about it, not good to cloud your Inner Eye! Professor Elwood is sitting at her desk absent-mindedly tracing shapes on her desktop.
"Please come in guys, and have a seat."
OCC: The lesson won't start officially until much later but won't really move on past the first question until tomorrow morning. Please read the classroom rules before posting.

She was a year young than me and in Ravenclaw. We got married when I was 20 and her was 19 and we had 4 children. We see each other daily in our portrait in a German museum of Astronomy." He could go on all day about her but she had an assignment. His small eyes watched her as she thought of what to ask him next.
<snip>
Ah at least someone interested in his life's work. He couldn't count the number of little kids that used to ask him who he was and then instantly stop talking to him once he went on about the stars. "I have my doctorate in astronomy and magical elemental sciences."
"You may call me Dr, son." the man's small wide-set brown eyes gleamed a little as a small smile appeared on the man's face.
<snip>
"I was married, and had four kids, daughters." He nodded, he had already mentioned to the other boy who was right there too that he got to visit with his wife's photo in the museum all the time.
Peering down on the boy's parchment he saw that he was getting good notes. "Good girl, I do have brown eyes and average spacing and size." Good work.
At the mention of astronomy and magical elemental sciences this Ravenclaw's eyes lit up. He had questions upon questions on those, far beyond the scope that this class was currently covering, so he feels a little guilty if he derails the discussion. BUT there was one thing he could still ask "Doctor, from which institution of learning did you take up your degrees?" it would give him a lead to where he can sign up for said courses 'no? "Also, have you conducted any recorded classes or have any published works that I could look into?" Ok so there are two questions, but they were all related to future studies in the field the man has a doctorate in.
And as Laura and Ethan asked their questions Vickers listened and observed. Should they only limit their observations with the eyes? Because this boy can pick up quite a lot from the way they carry themselves

a seeming devotion to his wife as they make it a point to see each other daily via a shared portrait in Germany

He flipped his textbook open and looked up entries about the meaning of the eyes...
SPOILER!!: Book entries
Eyes: Brown Connotation: Pertaining to the earth: Creativity, Courage, Fertility, Growth, Energy, Endurance Meaning: Those with brown eyes are known to be very grounded, and are not swayed by materialistic desires or tendencies. They are close to nature, and seem to perform best when working in accordance with it. Yet, they are independent and strong.
He looked up to gaze at the Astronomer again. Many of the meaning he just read can be found in this man. Although there was some lingering doubt on the validity of the claims of the book, since he has done his own readings on Genetics. But so far he hasnt read anything that stood out that he would strongly disagree on, so maybe there was something to this Oculomancy after all?
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
The Ravenclaw girl seemed really nice and Mary was happy that she had come to talk to her.
Especially loyal? "Now that you mention it. I actually met my husband, who was a squib and I gave up my magic in order to stay with him...against my paernts wishes." Yeah they weren't happy but she was in love.
WHAT!? Louisa's face brightened and she was VERY close to throwing away her notes and start another Q&A session with entirely different purpose. "Wow. That's so so exciti-- I mean loyal!" Exciting, adventurous and romantic. She stared at Mary with a stupid grin plastered on her face. "And you continued to be his wife for all your life, right? Did your parents cave in eventually? Can you tell me from which.." Era.. "..uhh.. like.. when is your birthday." That was the politest way to ask the woman from which century she was from. Women could be sensitive about age talk. Though this one didn't hit Louisa as one to care about such silly things. "Do you... forgive... your parents? For not respecting your wish?"
On her parchment she wrote,
SPOILER!!: Louisa's notes
Mary
Married a squib despite her parents' wish.
Color: green bluish eyes, they clearly indicate the woman's most obvious qualities: gentle, loyal, modest, and forgiving (?) Shape: Fairly large eyes. If we compare the default qualities associated with this kind of eyes with Mary's lifestory and current behavior we see that her eyes do speak of her sincerity, loyalty, and affection for certain someone and certain revolutionary life choices.
"Not a problem." Clive sat up straight and scratched his long nose before speaking again. "I was head Mugwump of the Wizengamot and helped to pass legislation requiring werewolves to register with the Ministry and many other laws to better wizarding kind." Yes he was very proud of his work." His black eyes gleamed slightly as he remembered the good ole days of his power.
This painting was every kind of pretentious. He made Selina want to roll her eyes, but out of respect for Elwood and the sanctity of the rest of the classroom and his timelessness at the castle, she shut her gab. No matter how much she wanted to tell this painting to take the brush that painted him and put it somewhere that would teach him some manners. She did not care how old he was, being a jerk was not okay for ANY age. Except little kids because somehow they made even being jerks really, really cute.
As he spoke some about himself, she took the time to notate about his black eyes. They were oval shaped and a very dark shade of black. There was nothing much else about his eyes that were striking except for the slight gleam. If she were being honest, his eyes were lack luster. But she kept a smile on her face to not seem rude and nodded at all of the proper points in his story, "You seem like you did some very important things for the Wizarding World, sir." Now stay still you ruddy, ol' painting so I can figure out your oval eyes.
Time was up and Calista hadn't gotten the Portraits to talk quite as much as she wanted but the students seemed to have learned the jist of it. Occlumency was the study of the eyes and they had begun to study the different parks of it so the lesson was at least a success.
"Alright everyone I know you aren't all quite finished but it's time we wrap up today's lesson. So on your way out go ahead and hand in your parchments and notes." The blonde smiled at them all and made her way to stand by the door. "Once again, please thank the Portraits for their help today. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the term and as a gift to you there will be no homework for this lesson."
OOC: Even if your notes aren't complete I will still take into account your participation in the excercise. Thanks guys!
