Sierra glanced over at Elise and have her a sharp nod of agreement. Yes, there was the field. "...and the rain, too," she said. She flipped through her book, looking for the meaning of rain in a dream.

Rain - Rain present in a dream means that you'll enjoy your life...with the zest of youth. Whatever that means. I think it means that sometimes children can be more carefree than adults, because adults worry about lots of things and have lots of responsibilities children don't have. I think this means that life will be enjoyed the same way children can enjoy it. At least, that's what it means to be out in a clear shower of rain.

I think this means that the little girl in the dream will have a carefree, enjoyable life.

As she finished her interpretation, she glanced up and eyed the Headmistress chatting with the professor. Something was going on with her, but...hmm. Sierra just couldn't put her finger on it.

Nigel just nodded along to what Laura thought about her dream. He saw that she was playing with her hair an thought nothing of it. "Well, The last thing is a Ride. Since you were riding a train. To dream of riding is unlucky for business or pleasure. Sickness often follows this dream. If you ride slowly, you will have unsatisfactory results in your undertakings. Swift riding sometimes means prosperity under hazardous conditions."

That was a pretty unlucky thing to dream about. Laura innocent dream really was unlucky in everything this dictionary said. "If you were riding swiftly means you will win even when it looks like you will lose. So maybe it will look like you will lose a tournament and then magically win it fairly."

Nigel was finally done interpreting the dream to looks around and hear what the headmaster was here for. Nigel slams the textbook shut and started laughing as Elijah accused Professor Elwood of taking the brooch. Nigel would never have guessed that and thought it was funny. Then he starts thinking about Laura's wand and if she had a new one yet. He looks back at Laura and asks "Laura, Did you get a new wand yet?"

Eliza giggled too, "Ice cream sounds like just as good a temptation as any!" She quieted down again and said, "Maybe you should be a bit careful for a while. Wouldn't want to... fall down!" She burst into a dorky laugh at her own joke. Calming herself again she said, "Sorry, sorry. Downfall." She did her best not to go into a fit of giggles while she lied on the floor like a crazy person.

"Hmmm, no it wasn't like there were eh, murky, clouds really. It was more just a big grey-white overcast sky, so I don't think the murky part fits, do you? She stared at the ceiling and imagined little clouds rolling by. Non-murky ones of course, since they didn't sound like a good thing to be imagining.

Ella grinned at the girl as she joked, glad she wasn't the only one feeling a bit silly. She giggled, nodding her head. "I get it! That was brilliant." Hehehe. Eliza was quite funny!

Not murky, eh? That was a good thing, then. That meant she didn't have to worry really. "No that makes sense, and that means that you'll be experiencing some pleasure and prosperity soon...which is great, yeah?" Much better then the murky cloud business!

Looking at her list of possible options to look up, Ella decided to go with the sky next. Flip. Flip. Flip. Oh...hm. "Well since your sky was grey and overcast, it says her that it means 'blasted expectations' and erm...trouble with women..." Strange. "Maybe you'll get into an argument with a family member...or friend or something? Or um...maybe they'll disappoint you?" All guesses really, but Ella wasn't too sure what trouble with women had to do with Eliza. "What do you think?"

Sierra continued to eye the Headmistress and the professor. Just where were they up to, hmm? There was something going on with that brooch, but what she didn't know. Her gaze slowly traveled back to her paper where she tried to think about something else.

Let's see...what else did the dream have? Eagles. There were eagles. Or, an eagle's nest, that is. Sierra flipped through her book and read what nests in a dream meant.

Nests - A nest in a dream, especially for a female, means a change in where you live. This might be a house, a town, a state, or a country. Who knows, but either way, I think this means that the young girl is about to move to a new location.

Through snickers of watching the animated dragon gollop up Elwood, he just mayyyy have been eavesdropping. By the sounds of things the Headmistress didn't much like ghosts... That could be a potentially wonderful prank... Hmmmm.

The redhead's mouth popped open just a bit, in something of a gasp as what the Hufflepuff said drifted her way. MERLIN'S BEARD, it could be true! Elwood was half-gypsy anyway, right? And weren't gypsies KNOWN for their thieving and scheming and crystal ball fortune-telling?!?



She shook her head and refocused on the gypsy diviner, listening closely to her interpretation of the dream.

"Nnno...." she shook her red head nervously. "I mean, I... it's sentimental to me. To me, it represents all my work and life in Egypt, wwwith Ethan.... but it's not a f-f-family heirloom or anything...."

Yeah, it wasn't VALUABLE ENOUGH TO STEAL, ELWOOD. In other words. And back to the dream.... Annie didn't like the interpretation she was getting here.

"You're making it sound like the brooch is lost forever!" she pouted, not very quietly, when the woman was finished. "No, I'm NOT glad it's lost. If I were GLAD it was LOST, why would I be searching for it right now?!" And she pointed to poor Tinka, who was still in the room, bless her little elf heart.

The worst part of Elwood's lame explanation was at the end. Annie's eyes grew wide with authentic terror, and clapped her hands on the other woman's shoulders. "A SPECTOR or some sorts? A SPECTOR?" She started trembling as she released Calista, trembling up and down her arms and almost starting to weave like she was going to pass out.

"Lllike a gghost? That kkkind of ss...ssss....sp..." She couldn't even say it. "Ssspeector??!?!"

This lesson had gone downhill and fast. She had a Headmistress going into a fit, a student acusing her and one of her other collegues of stealing the Headmistress's brooch, and a classroom of students who were going way beyond their alotted time for the activity, they were likely to miss their next lessons if the Divination class went on much longer.

"Excuse me Mrs. Truebridge, I need to dismiss my students." Calista held up a finger to the woman, hoping she wouldn't take offense to it, and turned back to face her class. The woman shouldn't take offense since she barged in and caused the chaos, plus just then when she had just shaken her by the shoulders. Siigh.

"Alright students that was great work for today, unfortunately we went over the time so hopefully you weren't going to lunch right after this because Im afraid you may have to make it a short one in order to make it to your next lessons. I appologize for that." Callie wanted to blame it on the red-head practically hyper-ventilating behind her or Elijah Wilde but that wouldn't be professional. "Be sure to hand in any notes you took on your way out and keep an eye peeled for the homework assignment I will be posting here later today." Now to take care of the grown woman afraid of ghosts.

"Mrs. Truebridge would you like to discuss this in my office?" She said eyeing the students staring wide-eyed at their school's leader, who looked on the brink of a nervous break-down. Surely she didn't want to frighten them did she?

Anastasia had already moved on from listening to the handsome Hufflepuff doing something that was clearly not taking notes, but his comment about Magnus seemed to stick to a spot in the back of her mind nonetheless. Annie just quietly mused on the brooch's disappearance as Elwood dismissed her class and did whatever else. Her thoughts were torn between wanting to dissect the dream more and wanting to search for the brooch instead, but when the blonde returned to her at last, she nodded like a tearful toddler.

"Y-y-yesss," she stammered softly, waiting for Callie to lead the way to her office. Wasn't her office just in this same room? Or was there a trapdoor on the ceiling now?

Either way, Annie needed answers. She hadn't even brought up her other dreams, all of which involved the strange green smoke too.....

Elise nodded as she noticed Sierra writing something about the rain down and was about to write about the eagle's nest when she noticed Sierra writing that one down too. Smiling gratefully at the prefect, she squinted at her parchemnt again, trying to make something out of it.

"So essentially, she's going to be successful and enjoy her life," she summarized quickly. Most of those had the same meaning. "And that she would possibly move away."

There wasn't anything else, was there? So strarightening her notes and duplicating them, Elise stuffed the original into her book bag. "Bye, Sierra," she said, waving before putting down the copy of her notes on Professor Elwood's desk. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor."

And just like that, she was gone.

The lesson was over already? Wow, time flies by.
"Great lesson professor...sorry about all the chaos though." Jen says as she takes her book bag and goes out to her next class.

Her hair was cut close to the scalp? Wasnt there something in the book that covered that? He furrowed his brows as he re-read the part on the book " 'To dream you cut your hair close to the scalp, denotes that you will be generous to lavishness towards a friend. Frugality will be the fruits growing out therefrom.' I guess its saying you're too kind...." he added, again with the grimace. Gosh he always had trouble with these advices about being a good person and urging you NOT to be. It felt counter-intuitive.

Now she mentioned the last part about the man... again flipping through the pages and reading parts of the passage aloud "Since there is also a Man it says '.....If he is misshapen and sour-visaged, you will meet disappointments and many perplexities will involve you. For a woman to dream of a handsome man, she is likely to have distinction offered her. If he is ugly, she will experience trouble through some one whom she considers a friend.'... What like some kind of betrayal?" These dream interpretations seems to bring more questions than any kind of clarity.

Oh now the Professor says class is over. He glanced quickly at Louisa as he finalized their notes to be submitted. "We'll just submit your part of the dreams, because its far more interesting and complicated than mine." he reasoned. Plus the fact that his real dream the night before isnt for the ears of the lovely Head Girl, unless he wants her to blush as deeply as her ginger hair.

He stood and handed their parchment to the Professor before giving her and the Headmistress a polite nod and a hasty "Goodbye Professor Elwood, Headmistress Truebridge" and a concerned look towards Tinka before quietly descending the steps the leads back to the castle.

Oh class was done? Sweet! It had passed really fast. It was amazing what fun could be done when one was doodling the demise of the teaching Professor. Not one to disappoint, Elijah placed his doodle into the pile of other works as the Professor distracted herself with the Headmistress and whatever her problems may be (making sure to sign the drawing by none other than Vickers Vanderbilt, of course). TEEHEE.

Eliza laughed again, a little embarrassed at her silly joke. "I'm glad you liked it," she said smiling.

"Hmm, well I've made a few new friends that are girls. Hopefully there won't be any disappointments though!" Eliza worried a little bit. She had only just made them and didn't want something to spoil it, but then again, it was just a dream theory and not necessarily true.

Eliza turned her head towards the professor as she spoke to the class. "Oh bummer," she pouted. She'd wanted to hear the rest of her dream analysis, but class was dismissed. She hoped the homework was interesting. Maybe just another dream log? She turned her face back to Ella and sat up. "I'll stick around to let you finish if you'd like. But if you have to run, it's ok." She pulled her knees to her chest as she watched some of the other students starting to finish up their conversations.

Ella was a bit disappointed that class was over, knowing she had one more part of Eliza's dream to interpret. She frowned, looking at the younger girl and then at her notes. "Yeah." Shrug. They'd had a pretty good discussion though, yeah?

Oh! But Eliza was willing to stay and let her finish? Ella BEAMED at the girl, nodding her head. "Yeah...yeah, that'd be great. I only have one more to do and I'll pick...the sun, I think." And if Eliza didn't mind staying back a few minutes, Ella would be glad to finish up.

Looking through the text, Ella placed her finger on the page and followed along as she read off what the sun in Eliza's dream meant. "Since you're sun appeared after the rain...I'm gonna say it's sun shining through the clouds..And that means that your troubles and difficulties are going away! Hey! That's a good sign." BEAM. "It also says that prosperity is coming your way." Which was kind of a reoccurring thing, yeah? "I guess your dream means that maybe you'll have a conflict with some female... or females but then you'll find your way out of the situation and ultimately be happier because of it?" Um...seemed pretty legit, yeah?

Packing up her things, Ella smiled at Eliza and placed her bag over her shoulder. "Do you want to walk out together?" Because it was really nice of Eliza to be Ella's partner and the third year was happy she was willing to stay behind with her.

Heading towards the door, Ella dropped her notes off with the Professor and smile. "Cool lesson, see you next time." Grin. And off she went.

Ethan chuckled at her response to his reading. He wouldn't have been surprised if the book had said something as obvious as you enjoy swimming. He tilted his head with raised eyebrows and smirk as she demonstrated her pose. Yep, he could tell she was friends with Elliot... similar sense of humor.

Chuckling lightly, the boy flipped through the pages again. Okay... there was star... "If you dream of shining stars, " he read, "You will have good health and prosperity." Also seemed generic... but not a bad fortune. "So far, so good... right?" he looked up from the book. Oh wait... was class over? Ethan looked around to see some of the students packing up and making to leave. He was so getting full credit for this assignment having gotten this far, so he flipped quickly through the book for the last symbol.

Uhh... what else did she say...? He tried peace... contentment... neither of those were in the book. What else... ? Ethan found Night as he remembered Hannah said it was night... even though he had already found stars which would obviously tell someone that it was night. But they were out of time and he couldn't find anything else... so it would have to do. "Okay... night. It says if you are surrounded by night in your dreams, you may expect unusual oppression and hardships in business." Ethan stared at the passage for a moment before looking up at Hannah with a how-dumb-is-this smirk. "I guess that's not as good... but I'm not sure how you can have prosperity and success, and hardship at the same time... at your business of course." Or maybe the bad cancelled out the good? Who knows... it was really starting to seem like a load of rubbish to him. And besides, class was over. "Well, I guess that's it," he shrugged as the professor dismissed them. Ethan finished jotting down a few notes and gathered his things. "Nice working with you."

"Wow that sounds like a pretty good analysis! Thanks Ella!" she smiled, glad that she had decided to stay a little late. She reached for her bag too and said, "Sure, that'd be nice." She smiled and walked alongside Ella. She was glad she'd found such a nice partner.

As they left the classroom she sat her notes on the professor's desk and called out to her, even though she seemed a bit pre-occupied. "Thank you Professor, it was fun!"

All in all she did not get a bad reading although she didn't put much stock into because it was clearly rubbish. She was glad that she was able to get a few chuckles out of Ethan... it did make the lesson go by faster and it wasn't as painful as usual. So that counted for something. "Not bad...not bad at all." The professor was dismissing them so she gathered up her items and looked back at Ethan. "It was nice working with you as well." and she actually meant it...weird. She spotted the professor and realyl didn't know whether or not she would hear her because the crazy head lady looked like she was about to have a melt down. "Er...goodbye professor." She made her way to the exit. She had enough of Divination to last her a lifetime.

...and just like that, it had all come to an end.

Sierra couldn't have been happier either. Elwood was a pretty alright woman, but...class was class, and Sierra loved dismissal time. She collected her things then scribbled one last line of information on her parchment.

Glancing over it, she read:

Ladder - In the dream, a small ladder appeared out of nowhere, and the small girl climbed it. To climb a ladder means to gain something, prosper, or climb to new heights. New heights, as in goal-achieving or at least getting closer to your goals. I think this means that the small girl may be involved in something like making a Quidditch team or getting good marks in school.

She turned in her notes, slung her bag over her shoulder, then headed out the room.

Well, it seemed like class was finally over.Nigel guessed all the stress from Elijah and the Headmistress caused Professor Elwood to end class. Nigel couldn't complain. He and Laura had finshed there dream stuff and written them down.

Nigel took both of them, said good bye to Laura, and brought them up to Professor and dropped them off for her to collect.

"Thanks for the interesting lesson Professor"

All he really learned was to have somebody aquamenti him before class. So he would not sleep in the class. The room was just to hot.

Jory remained silent as Kurumi interpreted the symbols in his dream. All of the sudden all that prosperity was gone and replaced by death. And was something really gonna go wrong between him and Ari? No, he wouldn't let that happen.

Before he could dwell any longer on the subject, the Professor began addressing the class. The badger jumped up, his mind drifting back to Ari. He got his text book and replaced it in his bag then turned to his Divination partner. "Thanks for partnering up with me, Kurumi,'' he told her gratefully and trying to offer a bright smile. "You did a great job.'' He didn't want to think about all the negative stuff but it just came flooding back to him. But it all could mean something else as Kurumi suggested.

Jory swung his bag onto his shoulder and proceeded to leave the room. "Er... interesting lesson, Professor,'' he said just before he left. "See you next time."

Kurumi was chewing ridiculously nervously on her lower lip now as she waiting for Jory to react to everything. Kurumi felt awful about it, especially since she didn't take this subject seriously at all. So, really, he shouldn't take what she had to say seriously either. Which was sort of hypocritical considering that she was somewhat stressing out over all this.

"Y-You're welcome," Kurumi said with a small nod of the head. "Just don't....take it all too seriously. It could also just be your subconscious fears." Not necessarily future predictions, right? Because...Kurumi's dreams were talking a lot about marriage and that was SO far down the road for this Gryffindor that it seemed ridiculous that she would be dreaming about it now. Not to mention that no dream Kurumi had ever had ever seemed to actually predict much.

Turning her attention back to her parchment, Kurumi was about to go back to looking over her own dream when Professor Elwood caught her attention.
Class was over? THANK MERLIN.

Gathering up her parchments and quill, Kurumi began to put things back in her bag when she overheard the Headmistress share her dream with Professor Looneywood. Really? The woman trusted this woman to tell her what all that meant. Sure, Kurumi thought that the Divination professor was a nice person...

Figuring that she shouldn't just sit there staring for much longer, Kurumi threw her bag over her shoulder and began to make her way out of the classroom. "Thank you, Professor Elwood," Kurumi said with a small bow. "Good luck finding your broach, Headmistress."

And getting anything that made sense out of the Divination professor's dream analysis.

Seeing Tinka reminded her that she had some things to finish discussing and planning with the house elves, so she best drop her things in the dorms and head down to the kitchens. There were recipes to go over, cookie cutter shapes to decide, things to taste... it was going to be a busy afternoon! Especially since the event was just around the corner... it had been frustrating that the elves were so preoccupied with finding this broach. Made it hard to meet with them all at once to discuss things in detail.

Oh well.

Without giving the room a second glance, Kurumi was out the door and making her way towards Gryffindor Tower.

"You're welcome, see you next lesson." Professor Elwood smiled and nodded at each student who had given her a polite good bye and handed in their work before turning back to the Headmistress again.

"Okay, can you follow me now?" She asked because the woman may not be capable of walking in her state. Callie assumed she could but you know what happens when you assume. Once the students were gone, the Divination Professor helped the Headmistress down the ladder through the trap door and then went down herself, locking the classroom behind her.
