The chill November air was definately hanging around the Divination Tower but once you ascended the ladder into the classroom the heat from the firegrate, being trapped in the room with the window-coverings, assured you this class was definately going to be a stifling one. The room was dark, apart from a few candles here and there so watch your step as you find you way to a table.
Professor Elwood was no where to be seen but you can bet she will be there soon so there had better be no funny business, besides her parrot, Galileo was there watching.
OCC: Come on in and take a seat. The lesson won't start for a while so there's plenty of time to post. Prof. Elwood doesn't appear to be there yet but don't try anything, Prefects will be in charge until she shows up. Enjoy.
Sarah wrote down the notes... it helped to read.. see! even if the books are muggle books. She went to the secction on teeth. Apparently, if one dreamt that their teeth were falling out, it meant their soul was being judged in heaven. Yet she did not like what the textbook said about it. She went to check another thing she knew.. snakes. apparently, when one dreamt that they were bitten by a snake it meant that their livlihood would increase tenfold. Yet the same definition did not match either. So she turned to the one she thought would be much happier. So she chose Dance. She liked ot dance. she raised her hand "i picked dance. If one dreamed of a group of chilldren happily dancing, it means that they will have cheerful, intelligent children of a loving home.. wait, that does not apply to us students... it is only for those that are married...." how embarrassing.. "For young people our age, it means easy tasks and lots of pleasure. That applies to those that see a group of merry children dancing. Now if one were to dream of themselves dancing... it means unexpected good fortune lies ahead" With that she finished.. She disagreed with her textbook on Snakes and teeth though...
Ethan reached for the very thick book that hovered in front of him and flipped through to the correct section. A very odd dream that he recently had came to the forefront of his mind and the boy turned to the letter B.
Interesting, he thought as green eyes scanned the paragraphs. Ethan raised his hand. "I chose Bridge," he began as his finger landed on the passage. The description was quite wordy so the boy chose to give the condensed version. "It says that if one dreams about a dilapidated bridge that winds into the darkness... then that person will experience profound dire circumstances and sadness over the loss of dearest possessions." Whoa... he hoped his dream wasn't foretelling that. The boy continued. "But if the dreamer crosses the bridge in safety, he will triumph over difficulty." That sounded much better, he guessed... well, certainly the victory part of it.

The first student to answer was a Ravenclaw, ooh! Callie was proud, they had become her favorites since her time being at Hogwarts.
"That's correct, the technical name for Dream Divination is Oneiromancy." Not an overly indepth answer but great to get the ball rolling. The professor looked for the next hand raised.
"Yes, Mr. Vanderbilt, your right. The idea of dream interpretation is to pick apart the individual elements of a dream to see how they will affect your life to come." She nodded and smiled at him. He was a smart one, a good student to have in class. "I'm glad you mentioned the subconscience, but I will get to that in a minute."
The girl was obviously effected by her entrance and that thoroughly sparked excitment in the blonde Divination professor. "Good job Miss Somerlad, you're on the right track." The little snake seemed like she was almost there just not letting her mind explore all the possibilities.
"Good, good Prefect Gert. Dream Divination is just that." Callie was glad so many of them had heard of the subject. It just meant she didn't have to carry them the whole time.
Callie listened as the young Lion talked about her idea of dream divination, nodding the whole time. "Very good, although just because somehting has to do with what has happened to you in the previous days doesn't mean you can completely rule it out as being prophetic, you could be experiencing a premonition of something that will happen in result of whatever action you already performed. Don't rule anything out just yet." Elwood said with a smile.
Another Prefect. It was good to see that they were setting a good example for their classmates by attending the best class even the non-required classes.
"Yes good job. We can't just look at a dream as a random firing off of neutrons in the brain, they can actually mean something." She just needed to make sure all of the other students got that point.
Excellent!
"Yes good. Our minds can use dreams to potentially warn us of something that will happen in the near future. The trouble is we don't always remember all of our dreams." That made things tricky. They were doing well so far.
Professor Elwood didn't see a hand raised from the boy dressed in Hufflepuff robes sitting near the back but she did recognize who he was even in the poorly lit room. Elijah Wilde, the loose cannon of last term, had decided to continue in the Noble Art for another term after his reckless actions last spring. She eyed him more a moment and then turned to the other students answering her question.
She would deal with him in a minute.
Another dozer?!
The room seemed to be doing it's job. Callie couldn't believe that someone could fall asleep during a lecture about such a fascinating subject as Dream Divination but under the room's conditions she could see even stranger things happening.
He would be dealt with in one swoop alongside Elijah.
"They do come from out SUBconscious." She corrected the girl gently and nodded along. "And they inform us of things that we don't pick up when we are conscious." Callie understood what the girl meant despite her wording misshaps.
Ravenclaws just had too many thoughts going on at one time is seemed.
A very basic answer, but good all the same.
"Yes dear, that is a good start." Professor Elwood nodded at her and moved on to the next student.
What in Merlin's shined Crystal Ball?!
Callie had been ready to start the class after her spectacular introduction and had not expected Mr. Katharos to get up and frantically leave the room. "Mr. Katharos I am not finished with my lesson. Why do you need to leave, did you see a mouse? It is important for you to tell me if you actually saw a mouse!" Professor Elwood would NOT continue class if there was a mouse in the room but she wouldn't let them know that unless that was actually the case.
She could handle anything but mice. Ew.
Professor Elwood kindly walked over to the boy and pointed him back to his seat, assuring him that if there was a mouse he could leave.
"Ooooh an interesting point Mister Kinsley. Deja vu is an excellent suggestion. Deja vu oftentimes is the result of an action becoming true that once presented itself in your dream but you just don't really percieve it that way because you don't fully remember your dream." Pretty much deja vu was a very real thing.
Calista loved when younger students attended her lesson because they always had a fresh look at things.
"Ummm...I'm not entirely sure what you mean but okay." Professor Elwood looked at the Ravenclaw again tyrin gto further decipher the girl but just assumed she knew what she meant so who was she to question others' dogmas.
Whatever floats your boat.
"Yes, Miss Greingoth, you are correct. We always need to keep in mind that no matter how silly a dream may seem it may have real meaning behind it." The Prefect was being so cooperative, Callie didn't detect the tone that some of her collegues mentioned when talking about the girl.
"You could say that. Everyone has their own opinions on what type of Divination is better or more important than others." Elwood has expected more from Kurumi but perhaps she was just having an offday? The Divination Professor nodded at her and went on to the next student.
Maybe the girl was trying to cram all of the information in now and didn't read the textbook over the summer? Didn't seem like her.
This girl seemed very impressed by Professor Elwood's demonstration and she grinned brightly as she saw the girl save some of the pink fairy dust. How cute!
But instead of answering and being a good little Divination student she crossed her arms and said nothing. Well FIIIINE.
Oh a new student and Hufflepuff--she must have heard how awesome her class was and decided to take it.
But Elwood was not impressed with her answer, there seemed to be a bit of doubt behind her words. "It's important to never throw out any dream dear, even a dream about eating a ham sandwhich could hold deeper meaning perhaps even relating to life or death!" Yeah...that was a little over the top but it still could happen....oh! Like choking. Yep.
"Good job Jory, you're on the right track." The Hufflepuff certainly got the jist of things it seemed.
"Very good!" Callie's eyes twinkled a bit as she looked at the little Ravenclaw who seemed to be battling with herself in her head, probably about her answer. Those Ravenclaws were always trying to do their best at everything academic.
"Dreams are the way our subconscious talks to us and it is important that we do our best to listen. Good point, thank you." She would keep her eye on this newcomer; a new student mind to mold.
"Very good, Nerida, glad to see you have your thinking cap on today." The girl could always be counted on for a quick, to the point answer and she was a joy to have in her lessons.
And it was Louisa! Callie hand't gotten to talk to her this term so far or to congradulate her on her new position as Head Girl. She would have to invite her over to her office for some candy and gossip later.
"Yes, the technical term for dream divination is Oneiromancy. And thanks for mentioning that Egyptian text because it shows us just how widely spread and practiced these types of Divination are." Another smile to the Claw and Callie moved to the next student.
"Good, good you're on the right track." Callie smiled at the boy and went to the next student.
Callie looked at the Lion as she talked and nodded slowly as she got to the point of distrusting the practice, it was natural for those who were not fully immersed in the Noble Art to feel this way sometimes. "Good on the first point but I want to bring somethingto your attention about your doubt towards the end of your answer. Are not oppinons and multiple interpretations present in many subjects such as literature, philosophy and some historical events? The way we sift through the random and often times untrue interpretations is that we trust in professionals of the subject, the writers of your textbook, to inform us of the correct and most widely approved symbol interpretations, make sense?" So it wasn't all just guess work. She wanted to make sure that the whole class got that.
Very literal but still right.
"Yes, Laura, you are definately on the right track." The girl was a troublemaker according to the other Professors but she seemed to be fine and on task in Elwood's lessons.
"Very good, we use dreams in order to divine the future." Callie nodded and prepared to move the lesson on and to take care of those who were sleeping.
Professor Elwood done her best to reflect and work on each of the student's who spoke up's answer and when she was done with it she stood and walked towards Elijah's and Nigel's desks and pointed her wand at them, sending a stream of cold water to spray them both awake. "Now Mr. Wilde and Mr. Barrington, just because we are talking about things that happen when you are asleep does not mean that I want you to go to sleep during my lesson or to be rude and ignore your classmates as they speak. Disrupt my class again and you will have a points loss and perhaps detention." Yes she knew she made the disruption but she was the boss-lady.
"Alright, great answers everyone. It's clear that the majority of you all understand the basics of Oneiromancy which means you all either pay attention when your past professors rambled on about other forms of the subject or you have read ahead in your textbooks which, either way makes me proud of you all, good job." She crossed one leg over the other as she sat in her chair and thought for a moment where she was going to go next.
Oh, some things the students mentioned themselves. "Mr. Vanderbilt mentioned the idea of the subconscience in his answer which is where I want to start. Scientifically we know that dreams happen when the mind enters the REM cycle. Does anyone know what that is, what REM stands for, and can explain breifly what we know about it?" She wondered if she expected them to get that technical but they nest learn upfront that the subject was not all smoke and mirrors.
*GARGLE CHOKE DIES*
Well, not dies... but the other two are pretty accurate descriptors of what occurred when Elijah was met with a face full of water as he dreamed his favourite dream: a world where only he and hawt girl's existed. Let's just say Elwood was not present in this world AT ALL.
He sat on his seat, dripping, as the class discussed something to do with some letters and then Elwood instructed them to flick through their textbooks to find out the meaning of certain dreams. Unfortunately, Elijah couldn't find psycho or crazy lady in this not-so-wonderful dictionary. He did, however, find the word 'cow', which was as good a description as any. Raising his hand, he offered that as his answer and explained that, "It means you are likely to see some of your desires start to come true." Like Elwood 'falling' down the attic ladders, perhaps...
Oops, Headmistress Truebridge. I didn't see where I was going as I placed my hands on the Professor's back and shoved her down the steps...
Ahem. Focus.

He would thank Professor Elwood if he was sure he would not get into trouble.
He turns to his right and sees Elijah right next to him and he got wet too. Well maybe he was dreaming also. Nigel asks him. "So what were you dreaming about?". Nigel then turns his attention back to the Professor. It seemed he missed the first question thinking about how he got wet. But he could now answer the second question. He opened up his book and turned to a random page and picked a word. Kangaroo. Well it was an awesome word.
Nigel raised his hand throwing water everywhere. "Professor, I chose Kangaroo. It means that i will outwit a wily enemy and if a kangaroo attacks me, my reputation will be in jeopardy." But if i kill one, i will succeed." Awesome!. Now Nigel wished his dream was about kangaroos instead of dragon.
When they got a brief moment, Elijah heard Nigel whispering over to him. It seemed as if the 'Claw had also been under Elwood's torture of WETDOM. "Um... just, unicorns or something..." that would be a sufficient answer to give the 'Claw. He didn't, after all, have to know the real answer. "You?" he returned the enquiry.

Scribble. Scribble. Scribble.
Ella jotted down notes before scanning the pages of her text in search of a word to share with the class. Her eyes immediately found the meaning for elephant, a smile creeping on to her face. The third year loved elephants and had dreamt of owning riding an elephant on more than one occasion. She was quite curious to see what that might mean.
Once she read over the symbolism of dreaming about elephants, Ella raised her hand to share with the class. "Professor, I chose Elephant." Because why wouldn't you choose that? "If you dream of riding an elephant, that means you'll have wealth and honors. It also says you'll be kind of the boss in your business and in your home." Which was pretty cool, yeah? "If you dream of a lot of elephants, it means you'll have prosperity and dreaming of only one means you'll live small...but solid..." Whatever that meant. "Oh! And if you dream of feeding an elephant, it means you'll be looked up to because of your kindess." BEAM.
Arms flapping, Tinka made her way up the spiral staircase. "Missus Headmistress want elvsies find her broochie! Tinka look everywhere for broochie!" She began scanning the floor, even picking up stray pieces of parchment or pulling aside a painting. Eventually she made her way into the Divination classroom, completely unaware that studentsies were in there. Elfsy ears twitched periodically like a radar scanner. "Did a wee studentsie take you, broochie? That be bad, bad, bad! Elvsies find you!"
Tinka's arms began to flap in her distress. She was repeating the same phrase over and over again as she searched the castle. "Broooooochie! Where aaaaaaare youuuuu?"Tinka haveta find that brooch!
When she was done copying the notes, Annabelle flipped through the book and she found one she was interested in. "Professor i picked Sailing." as she raised her hand. It reminded her of home and plus she loved the water. "If you dream of sailing on calm waters, it can tell you that you have easy access to blissful joys, and immunity from poverty and whatever brings misery. Also if you dream of a small vessel sailing on the water, it tells you that your desires will not excel your power of possessing them."

Waaaait! his answer had been right?! But...after he had listened to the others students answers he had something different! The Slytherin was not going to say anything about it though , points were points hehe.
As the lesson continued , Daichi opened his book and flipped through the pages. Okay , so randomly find an object and name what it means. The fifth year already know which he would pick...
DUCKS~!
He searched with his finger through the D until his eyes landed on the word ducks and began to read. There was one thing that made him raise an eyebrow though so the Slytherin raised his hand and waited till he got his turn.
"Professor, i picked ducks because i love love love looooove them but...i have a question. I dreamed about flying ducks before! And this means that good fortune , marriage comes and children come....am i going to be a father!?" O_____o What was even more startling was that he now knew that Indiana liked him and he liked her. They weren't an official couple yet but there was something blooming.

Ooooookay. The boy nodded when the professor said it would get easier for him. He hoped it would just click and he didn't have STUDY.
Ugh.
...
"I chose... Radish." Not for any particular reason, but he did like the interpretation as opposed to the other morbid ones. "To dream radishes growing, is an omen of good luck." There was a word he'd never said before.... Theo paused.
"But, if you eat them in your dream, you will suffer through the thoughtlessness of some one near to you." He read it perfectly from the textbook. He made a slight face afterwards. Ehh, the eating part wasn't that good. Theo would be just dreaming of regular old radishes tonight.
Yep.

Elijah was looking like he wanted to give Professor Elwood the same torture they had just experienced. Well not that Nigel would have complained. But they might have both earned detentions. So Elijah was dreaming about unicorns. Nigel almost believed it, if not for the tone of voice Elijah used when he answered.
"Oh, something about Ravens and Badgers killing a sea creature. I have no idea what it means though. But the water does feel good in this hot room." Nigel said shrugging. Nigel turns to look an follow the lecture. When he sees house elf yelling for a brooch. WAIT. What is a house elf doing in a divination class?

Helen opened her book and flipped through the many pages to try and see which one she should pick. She closed the book again, closed her eyes and opened the book at a random page and put her hand on a random place on the page. She looked up and saw the word 'king' - well I guess that's what I'm doing she thought. She looked up the definition, put her hand up and said "Professor, I chose 'King'. It says to dream of a king, it means you are struggling with your might, and ambition is your master. To dream that you are crowned king, you will rise above your comrades and co-workers. If you are censured by a king, you will be reproved for a neglected duty. For a young woman to be in the presence of a king, she will marry a man whom she will fear. "
He turned his head to the side when a noise from the back of the classroom got his attention. It seemed that the house-elf was looking for something as he heard her mumbling. "Hey, what are you looking for?" maybe he could help?
Clunk. Shuffle. Scraaaaaaaape.
Broochie no under here... Broochie no under here either... She pushed desks and poufs aside as she continued her search, flinging parchment and quills into the air as she made her way through the room. She started when she heard the words 'looking for' a mere five feet from her elfsy ears.
"Studentsies!" she said in surprise as she took in the scene. Tinka not know professor have class now!"Tinka look for Missus Truebridge's brooch! It be big and green and she no find it!" Round, elfsy eyes bulged and shrively, elfsy ears twitched. "Headmissus tell elvsies haveta find her broochie!" She ran toward the boy and grasped his leg. "Sir see Missus' broochie?" she asked loudly, shaking his leg.

A missing brooch? What was so special about that?
Daichi looked at the elf as she was searching in every corner, desk and poufs and the Snake had momentarily forgotten that he was in class. His focus was now on the elf as she suddenly began to run towards him.
From his seated position behind his desk, Daichi looked down at his legs as the elf began to shake it. He swayed on his chair but managed to sit on it without falling down at the sudden violence movements.
"A brooch?" he asked. And it was the Headmistress brooch? It had to be special right? Or else the the new Headmistress wouldn't send elves to look for it. "No i haven't, sorry" he shook his head from side to side. "Where was the last time the Headmistress had her brooch? Maybe its somewhere around there?" He looked around at his fellow students and then at the Professor and he suddenly remembered that he was in class. "I'll be sure to help and keep an eye out for the brooch, okay?"
Or maybe he could leave class and search with her? hehe , it was better than sitting in a classroom~ But he doubted that that would happen. siiiiigh

Alex flipped open his book and immediately went to the letter Q. He was sure that not a lot of people would choose that letter! He ran his finger down the index...quail...quack doctor--what the heck was a quack doctor?--quagmire, didn't know what that was either...AHA! Quicksand! That would be a good answer.
He raised his hand. "I picked quicksand. If you get stuck in quicksand while you're dreaming, that means you're going to have bad luck in the future, and if you get STUCK or buried in the sand, that means you're going to become overwhelmed by your bad times," he explained. "But if you're a girl and your boyfriend saves you from the quicksand, that means you're going to have a very faithful husband," he added. Tough luck if you're a dude, apparently.

Suddenly, Alex heard a really annoying scrapping sound, and turned around to see...a house elf?? What was the elf doing here? That was totally unlike the elves, they never seemed to venture out of the kitchen...
Alex had certainly not seen a brooch and could not for the life of him figure out WHY the elf thought it could be HERE. He cleared his throat and turned to the little elf girl. "Umm, did she SAY it would be here? I mean, if she hasn't visited the tower lately, it'd be unlikely that it's here, right?" he asked. It just didn't make much sense to him.

Before the class could continue a house elf appeared from nowhere looking for a brooch or something. Whilst Elijah understood the importance of jewelry to compliment the over all look of one's person, he also understood that house elves should very much NOT be seen and NOT be heard. Elijah gave a suspicious look toward the little rebel elf and scooched his bag closer to him just in case. He'd maybe need to make a point of relaying to the Headmistress his disappointment that such... creatures were allowed in plain sight during school operating hours.
"Have you checked your pockets?" he asked the elf, not accusing IT at alllll. Nope.

Laura looked at the Professor and raised her hand. "I picked Railroad because it says, If you dream of a railroad, you will find that your business will need close attention, as enemies are trying to usurp you." Laura didn't understand the Usurp thing but it sounds cool. "I think it means that rivals will try and show people they are better than you."
Hmmmm... The eagle took notes down about this deja vu business. I wish we could learn more, but that's ok. Maybe some things are better left a mystery.
She tried to fan herself with her dream textbook before looking up a word. Seriously though, when will she turn the heat down? Giving up on relief from the heat, she opened to her book and saw the word "raspberry" first.
She raised her hand and explained her findings to the class, "My word is raspberry and it says they mean you are in danger of en..entanglements," she cleared her throat, "which will prove interesting before you escape them." She raised an eyebrow and gave a look around the room. "How interesting exactly it doesn't say..." She scoffed slightly and added, "It also says if a woman eats them, it means distress over circumstantial evidence about that might cause some gossiping...or something." She sat her book back onto her desk and said, "Professor, are there very many good things that come from dream analysis? And are all the descriptions this sexist? I mean, men can gossip too!" She didn't understand why it couldn't just say gossip in general. She huffed a quick, frustrated exhale and sat back down.
It seemed to her that it was about a lot of serious worrying and not enough about enjoying your dreams. She still thought it was fun to read about and wanted to learn more, but she really hoped it'd get a bit less gloomy.
"But back to actual dreams in Divination now that we know where they occur," because you couldn't study Egyptians and all of their culture, curses, pyramids and the like without at least touching on the country itself--same with dreams and the brain. "Like you all said before we are going to be using individual aspects from our dreams in order to interpret what exactly they may hold in store for us. So," she stood and walked over to a cabinet which upon opening it, revealed Dream Oracle books. She levitated a copy to each of them.
"Please open your books to the section that defines individual aspects of dreams and we can have a little bit of fun before starting the day's ativity." Yes, for Divination nerds like Callie Elwood, this would be VERY fun. "What I want each of you to do is to randomly find an object or action listed in this section and then raise your hand and tell the class what it is and what it's implications upon being found in a dream are."
Silvia opened the dream oracle and flipped through it. Not really having anything in particular in mind, she opted to just choose from whatever jumped out at her first. Finding one, she raised her hand. "Seeing a comet in your dreams means that you will soon face unexpected challenges, but if you overcome them it could lead to fame. But it could also mean sorrow." Silvia had just barely finished speaking when a House Elf popped into the classroom.

What was a house elf doing up here, in the middle of a lesson no less? They seemed to be having a lot of interrupted lessons of late. The elf seemed to be searching for something. A broochie? Oh, she must have meant a brooch. Was a brooch so important that the search couldn’t wait until after classes had finished for the day? "Um, I haven't seen it," Silvia said softly, leaning to the side a bit so the elf could hear her. "This is probably not the best time to be looking for it here," she gestured to where the professor was standing at the front, to show that they were in the middle of a lesson. "But I promise I'll help keep an eye out for it."

Jasmine jumped slightly as a slightly manic house elf came into the class room and proceeded to go through it like a mini babbling tornado. Eyes wide she watched as quills and parchment went flying through the air as the elf searched for something. It was currently clinging to a student's leg asking for a brooch or something.
Jasmine's lips twitched until a smile was formed. Seeing the little house elf reminded her of her own personal house elf Clarabelle. Oh how she missed her!
Sliding from her seat to be more at the eye level of the little house elf, she gave it a warm friendly smile and said kindly," Tinka is it? Maybe you should ask Professor Elwood if she could have everyone look for you to see if its here? That way if it is not you can search elsewhere all that much faster."

Reason: forgot to make dialogue bold >.<
Or maybe he could leave class and search with her? hehe , it was better than sitting in a classroom~ But he doubted that that would happen. siiiiigh
She nodded violently. "Yes, sir, Headmissus' broochie! She tell elvsies to search ENTIRE CASTLE." Her ears drooped a bit when he said he hadn't seen it. "No sir, Headmissus don' NEVER take it off! She.. she think..." Elfsy eyes grew large as she whispered. "She think a wee studentsie TOOK it, sir!" she squeaked. A scandalous look crossed the elf's face. "Oh, sir most helpful, most helpful! Sir let Tinka or other elvsies know if sir find it!"

She felt more eyes turning towards her. Little elfsy ears began to twitch once more. With a persistent shake of her head, Tinka gasped, "No, sir! Headmissus don' say broochie here, she just say search WHOLE CASTLE. She no know where it be, she no know!" Her head shook even harder.

He'd maybe need to make a point of relaying to the Headmistress his disappointment that such... creatures were allowed in plain sight during school operating hours.
"Have you checked your pockets?" he asked the elf, not accusing IT at alllll. Nope.
CRASH. SCRAPE.
Tinka turned toward another Hufflepuff. Her ears kept twitching, but her gaze was blank and uncomprehending. "Tinka no have pocketses, sir." Her head was cocked to the side and she dismissed the boy as unhelpful in the search for the broochie.

"No, no, no, Headmissus say look NOW. She say look in WHOLE CASTLE. Headmissus want her broochie!"Why studentsies not get it?!?! Their lack of concern did not make sense to the elf.

Her search was interrupted again by a Lion. "Tinka help miss?" the elf asked as the girl bent down. "Oh, yes! It be Tinka!"Oh, miss has good idea!
The elf shuffled up to where the Professor sat, apparently unaware of the commotion up to this point. Bowing low, she squeaked out, "Professor ma'am, Headmissus' broochie be missing! Missus Truebridge ask elvsies look EVERYWHERE for broochie! Tinka wonder if studentsies help look all fastlike? Then Tinka leave, be done in your classroom," she said, nodded fervently with anxiety.

Having narrowly avoided being knocked over by rouge house elf, Emmanuelle was scowling a little. Like really, the elf's hand had been thisclose to her face! And it was going on and on about a brooch the Headmistress had lost. Like it was their problem that the Headmistress could keep up with her stuff. Ugh. This, on top of the stifling heat in the was making her cranky. "Maybe the Headmistress just misplaced the brooch. I mean, people misplace things all the time," she said, letting her irritation show. Ugh. Could they be dismissed now? You know, since the elf was showing no signs of leaving.

She thought a student took the brooch? This made Daichi's eyebrow raise up. What would a student want with a simple brooch? But then again it was possible, there were students who stole from people...and he was one of them...only he usually failed and he only wanted cute things such as ducks~
He nodded his head and smiled down at the elf as she said those last words and listened to the other students as they were asking their parts to the elf. He then watched as she went to the Professor and continued to listen, this was far more interesting than so called dreams!
"Elf?!" he called again as an idea popped up in his mind. He wasn't sure if it was helpful but it was worth a try right? "Has the Headmistress tried to use the Accio spell before?" he asked and cocked his head to the side a little as he stared at the creature.

She blocked out her surroundings, focusing on the book in front of her. She looked at Man, Fire, but none satisfied her so she went back to Hair. Elwood said it should be random but nothing is random with Louisa when it came to dreams so yeah..
She snapped out of it when it was Vickers' turn to choose something and he spoke of falling. Louisa's gave him a sad smile as he talked, and she wished she could hold his hand, knowing bits from that incident. But he seemed pretty collected with nothing to indicate severe trauma, that made her content.
Raising her hand she started, "I have Hair." She turned her gaze down to her book, "It's very long and talks about all kinds of dreams that involve hair." Pause and throat clearing, "To dream of having your hair cut, denotes serious disappointments. For a woman to dream that her hair is falling out, and baldness is apparent, she will have to earn her own livelihood, as fortune has passed her by." This wasn't good news for the Ravenclaw. At. All. But she continued, "For man or woman to dream that they have hair of snowy whiteness, denotes that they will enjoy a pleasing and fortunate journey through life. For a man to caress the hair of a woman, shows he will enjoy the love and confidence of some worthy woman who will trust him despite the world's condemnation." Pause. "For a young woman to have this dream, signifies that she will lose her lover by a sudden sickness or accident. She will likely come to grief from some indiscretion on her part. She should be careful of her associates." There was much more but Louisa shared what she thought the most significant ones.
He furrowed his brows worriedly as he pressed his lips together, listening to Louisa read about hair. That is going to be a rather touchy subject for a long while. When she finished he reached out from under the table and gave her knee a slight squeeze. He's here for her now. He didnt know what good that will do exactly, but going forward she wouldnt have to bear it alone anymore.

Oh look at that, the Houself that visited them at their Common Room, who hated towers and height. And where is she again? In the highest tower in Hogwarts. Good job in picking assignments Tinka.
This Ravenclaw shuffled a bit in his seat as he looked around the dimly lit, crowded classroom "Its a little hard to look for something as small as a brooch in the middle of a darkened class Tinka..." he wasnt being a smarty pants, he was just stating the obvious. "There are a lot of places where this brooch could be... have you tried checking in that large bowl full of different stones we used for Lithomancy?" A brooch can easily be misplaced there.

Abby listened as the professor continued to talk about REM.. and she was already bored. All this talk about dreams was making her feel sleepy too. And what with the dark room, she was pretty sure people at the back were fast asleep.
Distractedly, the girl opened her book and picked a random letter.. which was P. Her eyes scanned the entire list of words for a while, trying to pick the one that seemed rather interesting. Abby finally raised her hand, "Professor, I pick Paradise. If you dream that you are in Paradise, it means you'll have loyal friends who are willing to help you out. To.. um.. couples, it is the promise of wealth and faithfulness." YAY.

A house elf! Abby watched it with interest.. which slowly turned into boredom. REALLY? They were going to have to spend the rest of the class search for a brooch in a dark classroom? Although, she felt that looking for a brooch was WAY better than spending the rest of the class talking about dreams. Heh.
"I'm sure we can help you search.. if the Professor is okay with it." Abby really didn't want to get into any trouble with Elwood. She was sure her detentions would be.. weird. Just like her.
