It was warmer in the arena today, and lucky for the students, the purple mats were back down on the ground where they belonged, as were the miniature tray tables acting as desks. With the usual morning sun shining brightly through the large windows, opened just a hint to let in some nice crisp morning air, all in all it looked like just any other lesson. Or perhaps the Professor looked just a little too happy sitting down on her own burgundy mat, lotus style; maybe due to the fact from finally getting those mats down from the ceiling.
Find a mat you like and get comfortable, because that may be the last time you are during the lesson. Class will begin shortly.

Defense Against the Dark Arts was another class Kat had respect for. Their current professor was doing a good job keeping the class interesting and at the same time, educational. Now that was one thing Kat really admired of not only the class, but also of Professor Romanos. Kat did like participating in this class, since she loves learning the new defensive spells they can learn in it. They were great AND protective at the same time. How cool is that?
Kat entered the room to see a happy Professor standing in front. The blonde flashed a smile at the Professor. "Good day, Professor Romanos," she greeted and looked for a place on the mat to take a seat. Well, another place to sit on despite many classes on hard, wooden seats. So annoying.
... And she was the first person to arrive in class. Awesome!

And now it was time for Defense Against the Dark Arts. Not a subject she hated, on the contrary, she found it rather fascinating. The last class was definitely one to remember...too bad she didn't get to play with the net. Mm. Maybe next time.
Lex stretched lazily as she walked into the arena. Her stretch was interrupted, however, when she caught the Professor already getting into the whole yoga groove. The mats on the floor meant they wouldn't be doing any climbing at all. Such a shame too.
"Hello Professor!" GRIN.
Not many people were there yet so she could pick any mat. Hmmm. After taking a minute to decide, she plopped down next to that Slytherin girl that was always walking with Ariana. Katrina was it? Meh.

Kurumi wasn't exactly dragging her feet to class, but she wasn't really hurrying to get there either. This just marked another last to check off on the list of things left at Hogwarts for the seventh year. Defense Against the Dark Arts had always been an interesting subject for her. Not her favorite, but interesting. What was making this hard was knowing that it was her last lesson with Professor Romanos - a woman who had helped her with so much more than the subject she was teaching.
For three terms now Kurumi had been holding private lessons with Professor Romanos in the art of meditation. Lessons that the Gryffindor had hoped would help her find her center and a way to control and contain her metamorphagus abilities to some extent. While she was still a long way from mastering, Kurumi owed this woman so much. SO much. She was more in control now than she had ever been before. She owed the professor a lot, and she wasn't sure how to properly show her appreciation.
Entering, Kurumi was glad to see the mats were back and quickly set her things down at her usual one before looking up at the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor anxiously. "Good day, professor," she said with a small smile.

Ethan stepped into the classroom, somewhat curious about what DADA would entail today. The boy found the last class to be pretty cool.. standing upside-down on the ceiling and all.. though he wasn't at all impressed with the first class of term. He vaguely wondered which today's class would be more like when he spotted those awful purple mats on the floor again. Fantastic.
Frowning slightly upon sight of them, Ethan forced a smile when spotting Romanos. "Good day, Professor," he said pleasantly while walking past. See, he could be polite even if he hated those mats and what they may potentially be doing.
Glancing around the room, he saw very few students. No one he really knew other than recognizing them in classes or something.. but he gave each of the girls a polite smile before finding his own mat. Ethan sat down cross-legged on one to wait for class to begin. No lotus position quite yet.

Ella stopped in the door of the classroom and groaned inwardly when she immediately spotted the mats. YOGA. MEH. Not that all yoga was bad, that wasn't the case at all. It was just that boat death pose. Seriously! The third year just could not manage to do it without falling over and besides, she almost always felt like she pulled something after doing it. It wasn't natural to move your body that way, it just wasn't. She was a person, not a pretzel!
She took a minute to get past the whole yoga thing and put a smile on her face, stepping inside the room and giving the Professor a genuine grin. Despite the poses she did really enjoy this class. "Hello Professor, nice to see you." She said cheerfully, taking in the light breeze that was coming from the open window. It felt really nice, actually.
The blonde settled on a mat towards the windows and plopped down, setting her things off to the side. She decided a bit of stretching was probably in order if they were going to be starting this yoga business up again and that's exactly what she did.
Upon entering the classroom, Max stopped and wrinkled his nose from just inside the doorway. Mats. Were they... going to be doing all that awkward body moving stuff again? The seventh year tried to look a little less alarmed upon making eye contact with Romanos; he gave the woman a half-hearted smile and greeted, "Good morning, professor."
It was good. For now. Until... he was probably going to end up looking silly for the remainder of the class period.
With his head down, Max retreated to a mat on the far side of the classroom, not wanting to draw any attention to himself once the lesson began. He found himself a few feet from Ella and he gave his Hufflepuff friend a smile. Maybe if he got stuck or didn't do something right, she would come over and help him out, yeah? With the way she was stretching, she... sure looked like she knew what she was doing.

When Vickers entered the classroom he couldnt help but shift his eyes all the way up, towards the ceiling, given how eventful the last lesson was with the time they spent up there. Given that it looked relatively normal he focused his attention closer to the ground, spotting the mats and the breakfast makeshift tables back on the floor where they usually were at.
He'd never think he'd be so relieved to see those non-standard classroom furniture following the laws of gravity as they should be.
As he made his way towards his mat he nodded his head politely at Romanos "Good morning Professor." he greeted her then settled on the mat, prepping his parchment and quill for today's lesson.

Minerva walked into class. She couldn't believe that the term was heading to a close in just a month or so. It had went so quickly, as she walked in she noticed the purple mats back on the ground. "Hello Professor, hope it wasn't to hard to get those back down." Minerva then looked around the class a few other students were there, but one that caught her attention and made her smile.
Walking over to the empty mat next to Ethan she smiled, "Hello... miss me.." She winked and chuckled setting down her bag. Pulling out her parchment she set it aside for any notes she might need then sat down on the mat until class began.
Laura walked into the classroom and smiled at the Professor. "Good day Professor Romanos." Laura smiled, she sat down on one of the mats waiting to see what they were going to do but she wasn't sure she would like it.

Hannah walked into the arena and the first thing that she noticed was the blasted purple mats were back on the ground. Just when she thought that she had gotten rid of them for good. Oh well... this was the last class of the term so she could make it work.
She spotted the professor. "Hello professor." she found a mat in the middle of the class and took a seat.
Eliza's smile drooped a little when she saw that the mats were back on the floor. She really liked the idea of standing on the ceiling, but she supposed they had been lucky to even get to do that once.
"Good morning Professor Romanos!" she greeted as she walked past.
She spotted Ethan sitting next to whom she assumed was his girlfriend. She'd seen them around together a lot lately, so figured it was a good guess. She didn't want to bother them, but she hadn't talked to Ethan in a while, so she walked over and sat on the mat on his other side.
"Hi Ethan," she said with a smile as she adjusted her legs to be more comfortable underneath her.

Another day, another DADA lesson. Of course, Kendall didn't really think that way about DADA, but she was definitely looking forward to it. Not to mention she had remembered that she'd forgotten to ask about baby dementors before everything else happened with getting locked out and worrying over her chocolate and lessons and everything else. She was still curious about that, too, so the question was filed away in her head to wait for the best time. With all the other questions in her head, since it was impossible for her not to have had others given the circumstances.
Of course, it didn't take long for her to get the answer to one question. They weren't going to be climbing the walls again this lesson, once she saw the purple mats and the little tray things all lined up on the floor of the classroom.Sigh. I wonder if the professor still has those gloves and boots and stuff though, and if she'd let me borrow some, she wondered, her hazel eyes scanning the room as if the boxes would be tucked away somewhere where she could see. She didn't see them, anyway, so after another moment or two she gave up the search and headed for an open mat and settled in to wait. At least she was still prepared for possible yoga, not wearing a skirt or anything. Climbing the walls again still woulda been cooler. No use in complaining now. "Hi Professor Romanos," she greeted the obviously happy professor on her burgundy mat at the front, giving her a smile even if she had wanted to climb again. The professor didn't know that, and the lesson still could be cool. Most of them were.

Time for another defense class and as Gideon made his way inside the classroom, he couldn't help but feel glad that everything appeared to be back to normal. Last class had been...interesting to say the least but if he was going to be up in the air, he prefered to either be in his raven form or on his broomstick. He felt more in control of his safety that way.
"Good day Professor Romanos," he greeted with a polite smile, the woman seeming oftly comfortable back on her burgandy mat. Perhaps she too was quite glad for the sense of normalcy. Taking occupation of one of the purple mats in the front, Gideon settled himself down upon it to await class to begin, the prefect placing his sachel besides the tray and taking out some parchment and a quill for note-taking.

Jory looked around the classroom the moment he entered it, hoping to see everything back to normal and he was pleased to see that it was. He was so used to those purple mats.
"Good day, Professor,'' he said politely before he went off to make himself comfortable on one of the mats.

Being the first person to arrive has its pro and cons. Pros? You get to choose where you want to sit. IT'S COOL. And it rarely happens, mind you. The cons? You get sleepy while waiting for the rest to arrive. Not cool. Despite being tired, Kat tried her best not to fall asleep while waiting for the others to arrive. But she managed to close her eyes for a few seconds. She fluttered her eyes open when she felt someone sit beside her on the mat. She was obviously hoping it was someone cool, like those awesome possum second years. Examples are Theo, Blue, Cassia, even West. Ahem. But to think it was Alexa Cambridge who sat beside her? Uhmm... awkward. "Wateryudewwinhere?" she said. Kat felt a bit sleepy to even say it properly.

Elise stumbled into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom yet again, smiling. She'd always liked the subject, minus all the stretching and falling over. But even the stretching wasn't so bad. She'd gotten better over the past few terms, but the boat position still killed her.
Seeing the purple mats on the ground, Elise beamed. More stretching-slash-yoga today. So it would probably be a normal class, right? Probably not, because nothing at Hogwarts was ever normal. But there was no point complaining, a boring school would be far worse.
"Good day, Professor," she said, nodding before making off to find a vacant mat somewhere. Then, she set her parchment and quill out and joined Professor Romanos in the Lotus Position. Safer for Elise to start stretching early and be a little more flexible.

"Hi Ethan," she said with a smile as she adjusted her legs to be more comfortable underneath her.
Legs still crossed, Ethan leaned back on his mat, resting his hands on the floor behind him. As one of the earlier students to class, he vaguely watched as the others came into the room.. his eyes resting on one particular brunette. His smile grew as she approached and sat down on the mat next to him. "I was, actually.. now I don't have to anymore," he responded to her words with a wink of his own. Oh and she was getting out her note-taking things.. that was probably a good idea and he took his own out of his bag. "Any idea what we're doing today? You know, besides the usual," he said quietly, eyeing the mats.
Then a voice at his other side made him turn. "Oh, hi, Eliza," Ethan said brightly to the little Claw who had chosen a mat next to him. "How have you been?" It had been a while since he had seen her - other than in classes. Most of his time was spent studying for OWLs and he usually got back to the Claw sleeping area super-late, after most were asleep. Glancing to the girl on his other side, he said, "Do you know Minerva?" He wouldn't be surprised if they had already met.. Minnie had a lot of friends.. but as Eliza only greeted him, maybe not.
Ow, his legs were getting tired in this position already and class hadn't even started. He pulled his legs out of their position and stretched them out in front of him. Sighing a little, he placed his parchment on top of the little tray-table thing, waiting for class to begin. Maybe the mats were misleading and they wouldn't actually be doing any yoga today..

As Belle stepped into the classroom, she was excited to learn something new. Belle was wondering what the professor had in store. Belle smiled at Ethan and Minnie, seeing her two best friends already in the class. Belle was sad this may be the last class sitting on the mats. As Belle went over, she sat down on the matt. She was quite comfortable. Belle saw the professor and smiled and said "Hello Professor, how are you today?"

Tugging on the striped blue and bronze tie around her neck, the fourth year eagle stepped into the DADA classroom, a small smile plastered on her lips. A new lesson meant a whole lot pattern of learning. The subject wasn't her favorite, nor would she claim that she didn't like it. However, with the interesting twists and turns in every lesson they've had in the past, it anchored a pretty much of her attention and knowledge engagement.
"Good day Professor Romanos." The brunette said, bowing slightly at the woman before pivoting around to find the mats back on the floor. So they really have evacuated the ceiling. Although it was the more comfortable setting, Beezus would have to admit that having the class upside down came off a tad more appealing.
Allowing her dark brown eyes to roam around for a moment, she then walked towards a mat on the back, almost the same one she'd occupied a few lessons back. Pulling the strap of her bag from her shoulders, she quietly placed it on the floor then settled down herself and got comfortable as she waited.

Trying to mimic the lotus position she saw the Professor in she began fidgeting a bit on her mat. How did people do this?
Once she was comfortable enough she slumped her shoulders, trying to get a bit more comfortable. Knowing Katrina, she probably wouldn't talk to her anyway. For one thing the girl didn't like her. Why? She had yet to find out. Older kids were just weird like that as she'd come to learn. Hearing the voice actually saying something that she guessed was directed at her caused her to sit a bit straighter. Lex glanced over at the girl. "Ummmm...waiting for class to start..." Was she supposed to be somewhere else doing something else--'cause she totes wouldn't mind. Oh wait. She liked this class. Nevermind.
"Didn't you get enough sleep?" Lex herself didn't. While down in the Great Hall anything could happen so sleeping was kept to a minimum. Yup.

With a deep breath, Medea sighed, waiting for the students to arrive to the lesson, and boy...did they not disappoint with the gloomy looks at seeing the purple mats on the ground. It made her smile even more, for some reason. It was for their own good, whether they saw that or not. Nodding and greeting to those who came in, a quick check at her watch said that the class was going to be starting sooner rather than later.
Goodness, where did the time go.

"Not terribly, Miss Wheatborn." she said, glancing up to the ceiling momentarily.
Righty-ho then.
"Take a seat if you haven't already..." she spoke to the class, voice just above those who were quietly talking to one another while they patiently waited for this moment. "And we'll begin."
Making herself comfortable, Medea waited for them all to settle in before beginning. "Yes, I know, how terrible we have the mats back, buuuuut...we won't be doing any yoga today. We will be doing a little stretching of our legs though, so, with that in mind, let's get started. Stretch out your legs in front of you. Feet flexed." Go on. No dawdling. "And theeeeen...reach forward and touch your toes or however far you can go. It's completely fine if you can only reach to your shins. Reach as faaar as you can."
Doing as she said herself, she reached forward and grasped her feet, glancing up to see how everyone else was doing. "And while we stretch, who can tell me something they know about hinkypunks?"

Ella beamed at Max as he took a mat by her, happy to have him near her. She was getting more and more depressed about his looming graduation so any excuse to be around him was good for the third year. She was so gonna miss her Hogwarts big brother.
Blink.Blink. NO YOGA? Ella tried not to look TOO pleased about this, though her smile probably gave her away a bit. And hey! She was already a step ahead it seemed, as she'd been stretching since she arrived. Grin. Way to go, Ells! The third year brought her legs out in front of her and reached forward, grabbing on to her feet. STRETCH.
Hinkypunks, eh? Ella chewed on her lip as she tried to recall what she knew about those little guys. Hmmm...After a minute or two she raised her hand, answer ready to share. "Professor, Hinkypunks are known to lead unsuspecting travelers to...well bogs, I guess it is. They act like they're helping but they're...definitely not." Unless those travelers were looking to travel to their deaths.
