"Yes..." Annie side-eyed Ian as she followed him up the stairs. "To Muggle Studies." Bird. Why was Cerulean a BIRD? What was that? Did he think she was good looking? She was pretty plain, wasn't she? And bitter about being single?

That was the vibe Annie had gotten from their brief interaction at the speech, anyway.

"Professor Cerulean!" she led the charge and knocked on the woman's door, then turned around to give the Board of Governors a bright smile. "I'm sure you, Cassandra, and you, Lainey, are both very familiar with the first floor... so I thought we'd just touch base with one of our staffers whose subject may not be as popular as the others but is still a valuable asset to the school..."

Muggles studies, or as Annie liked to think of it, the class you should take before you go shopping! How else were you going to know when the Muggles were ripping you off for a designer handbag?

Cassandra let Mr. Amoroso lead the way, although her preference would have been to see her old classroom or Lainey's. Still, it was a good opportunity to meet the Muggle Studies professor.

At the office door, Cassandra offered a hand to Professor Cerulean. "My pleasure, Professor. We won't interrupt you for long, but I was hoping you could share your thoughts on the subject at Hogwarts."

Muggle Studies had never been one of Hops's best subjects.

The man had lived a rather simple life, running a bar and at one point a small furniture business but magic had always been in his hands (no pun intended). The older man followed the other Board members and their Headmistress guide up a set of stairs and down a familiar corridor. The stopped at an unfamiliar office however and were waiting for the woman to answer. It would be nice to see what a professor of Muggle ways looked like, he hadn't had a chance to notice her more-than-probable, outrageous oddity see her at the Feast.

Gemma had just finished her final notes for one of her classes when she heard a knock at the door. She stood up slowly and walked, well more clicked in her red heels, towards the door, smoothing out her black skirt as she walked. Before reaching the door, she glanced in the mirror behind the door to make sure that she was presentable. She opened the door with her usual smiling and sweet demeanor and was suprised to see the new Headmistress standing there and then as she glanced behind the woman she saw the Board. It took every bone in her body to keep her jaw from dropping, but there was a moment of awkward silence as she let their presence set in.

She pushed open her door all the way to create an easy opening to her office as she said, "O, what a surprise! Please do come in and sit down for a bit!" she said stepping to the side of the door and holding out her right hand to introduce herself to each of them as they walked in. "I'm Gemma Cerulean, the Muggle Studies Professor." she said to each of them even though she knew they probably had already figured out she was the MS professor, but she was a little flustered by their visit.

Lainey had already been to the first floor, but okay. She'd return. She'd look at the Muggle Studies Professor.

Ohhh blue couches. Nice. Lainey had an affinity for blue.

And couches, as it were. She pulled a random ink pen and made a note on her arm, just under her sleeve.

She hated all these manners and well-to-do uppity stuff. Annie Bunz had been a student, Hops was a shopkeeper, and this other nut was something akin to a buffoon. Why so serious? It made her uneasy.

Lainey didn't want to go IN that office either, but she... okay... she'd go in LAST. And stay in the door.

Minerva skipped towards the familiar couches and smiled. She hadn't been here this term yet, and it was a shame she needed to visit more often. Knocking on the door Minerva hoped she was there and not to busy. All the planning her friends and she had been doing all were coming together, now it was time for her to get the last of the things they needed for their great sleepover. Minerva sat down on the comfy chairs, oh yes they were always so comfy.
