Nigel was just wiped the dirt out of his hair when Vivi did it for him. "Umm Do you want to go over and get the fire crabs we need?" It appeared they both had a bucket, brush and a washcloth. |
Partners? Fire crabs... right. Already this would have been an exciting class....but of course it had to be even more exciting now that Peeves had decided to show up. After the worm attack, Lily walked over towards the fire crabs before deciding that she wanted to work with a partner. "Um... does anyone need a partner??? Please..." She called out looking around for someone to work with. |

"Let's go choose two fire crabs together. Maybe one that looks wide awake and one that looks a bit dopey. For comparison purposes." Science! |
and Peeves too of course SPOILER!!: Louisa and Nigel "You're very welcome!" he murmured as he smiled back at his girlfriend-- wow he's still trying to get used to that-- and such close proximity almost makes the everything else fade away... Almost. Between the annoying screeching poltergeist and Louisa rushing over to where Nigel was being buried alive, Vickers attention shifted to everything else but their little private moment. Laying the cage and their supplies onto the ground he was about to brush the dirt off Nigel when at the corner of his eye he saw Louisa taking aim at Peeves "No wait--!" he caught her arms and tried to pull her back, not knowing if her foot actually made contact with the malicious specter. "Dont bother with him... only the Bloody Baron can control him. Besides I think he keeps grudges..." he mumbles close to Louisa's ear as he glares at Peeves. And it was annoying how he had to take his own advise too-- otherwise he'd be using Peeve's head as target practice right about now. |
juliet and peeves~! Daichi froze in shock as he was caught staring at Indy. His cheeks now flushed with embarrassment as Juliet said that she was pretty. Yes. yes she was, Indy was pretty. The Slytherin did not answer her though and merely made a noise of acknowledgement that he had heard her before turning away. Just in time to hear a familiar voice echoing through the air. Daichi's eyes widened as they caught the sight of Peeves and he then looked at the fire-crabs. Oh no, he wasn't going to throw them right?! He was so busy with the fire crabs and eyeing them that he nearly jumped again when Juliet grabbed his arm and shrieked something about *taking it off* Take WHAT off?! Seeing the panicked look on the girls face, it reminded him of himself oddly enough and he then caught the sight of a worm on her hair. Seriously? a worm? "Hold still" he said as he tried to brush the worm off of her head. Geez! it was just a worm! Then he heard Peeves saying something about there being a dead kid in class and Daichi's face paled again. Had one of the fire crabs gone beserk and attacked a student?! Finding Peeves near a student who seemed to be more sleeping than dead, he glared at the poltergheist...as far as he could glare of course. He was already terrified because of the FIRE crabs who shoots fire , and now Peeves even joked about a DEAD kid in class?! It took alot to anger this Slytherin but being scared + unespected things meant ...he was slowly losing it. "PEEEEEEEEVES! STOP THAT! IT'S N-N-NOT FUNNY!!!" he shrieked with a stutter as his arms flailed up and down. Mistake? |

As she thought about this, she heard someone ask if anyone needed a partner. She looked around and quickly spotted the Ravenclaw who'd said it. "I do," she said, raising the hand that was worm-free and waving it to get the girl's attention. |
Quote:
Well...well...well... Now it did not look like this girl was feeling all comfortable. She did not look annoyed either so maybe, yeah, maybe she was really a shy one as he thought first. This was a nice change after all the moody girls. Shy ones were not so bad at all. He smiled at the girl and it was a smile this time not to one of those smirks that he shot at almost every girl. From now on he was going to be more picky about girls anyway. It seemed that was a must in Hogwarts, so he would be shot by a fire crab. About the real fire crabs, the creature ones not the girls Richard looked at his a bit. He did not understand why anyone would keep one of those as a pet but he could tell why they would stal the jewels. ''Maybe...'' he said now looking at her fire crab. ''But would not you prefer to feed me instead?'' *smiiirk* Yes, he was smirking this time. |
Oh my. Quote:
And that Slytherin Prefect, Sierra, whom Elliot had totally GLARED at in DADA...telling her to stand still?! Elliot wanted to yell! "It's hard wheeeeen they're all creepy and crawly!" she shrieked, completely losing her cool. Yep. Elliot losing her cool...how unexpected. But then she was helping Elliot...and soon, the girl said that all of the worms were out...MERLIN! Elliot could have HUGGED her. But she didn't..she merely looked at Sierra with...admiration? HUUUUH?! "You...you saved my life. I owe you..." a bit dramatic, sure, but Elliot's hair was IMPORTANT. It was just too pretty to NOT be. Come on, blonde? Long? Preeeetty? She practically DID save Elliot's life... Quote:
Elliot wouldn't have helped either. Worms were gross. |
SPOILER!!: Louisa Spike was clearly distracted, and had completely zoned out of the first part of the lesson, other thoughts swimming in his mind. Even the uncovering of the cages of firecrabs raised barely a curl of the Prefect's lips. He'd usually be bouncing in anticipation by now. Usually. As Louisa's words finally broke into his thoughts, Spike's eyes widened. She thought they should work together? To ease the tension? Spike would love to ease the tension, he really would, but somehow he wasn't sure it'd be just as easy as working together. He sneaked a glance at Beezus, wondering if they could make it work...even if it was just to keep Louisa happy? SPOILER!!: Beezus and Dylan It was already too late however, and Spike's posture slumped further. She'd chosen him. Deliberately ignored the Head Girl's advice, and gone with the person she knew would hurt Spike the most. Any other person in that class would have be fine. It wouldn't have affected him. Spike would know deep down it would have been for the best. And yet she chose him. Spike couldn't help but stare after them, his jaw starting to clench and tears gathering in the corner of his eyes. He felt so cold...lonely...dejected...unwanted... How exactly was he meant to just carry on with the lesson now? He sat there, stunned, until a certain poltergeist's appearance interfered with his melancholy mood. It was raining worms? Even that couldn't shake much more of a reaction from the Prefect than a disinterested shrug of the shoulders a quiet "Heh". The boy who spent much of his childhood collecting critters and worms galore (and still did), just stood there, and gently plucked a few out of his curly hair. He plopped down next to a cage (he was claiming it for himself - surely no one would want to partner him), and stroked them gently. "You're an idiot, Spike," he muttered to himself. "A complete and utter fool." |
Quote:
Once he made it over to the cages. Nigel looked for the lazy ones. He did not want aggressive ones. Because that mean extra and hard work. "I think we should pick these two" Nigel said pointing and walking towards these two lazy crabs. It was perfect because they were right next to each other. Only more thing to do. Nigel summoned the bucket and things over to him. Now he was all set. |

She felt the ends of her hair curling from the heat from her burning face. She coughed and swallowed a few times. 'Say something,' her inner voice hissed. But the connection between her brain and her mouth was misfiring as the boy smirked at her. Oh Merlin if he would only stop smirking at her she might be able to string together a proper sentence, "All I've got is a chocolate frog," Harlow winched as soon as the words left her mouth. A chocolate frog! Did she forget she was 14 now and not still 11. Though she didn't look any bigger than the other first years she was in fact 14 and thus should be acting like a teenager and not a little kid running around with candy stuffed in her pocket. Now he was going to laugh and ruffle her hair and call her a 'cute little tyke,' while his eyes roamed for a proper girl to smirk at. |

"I'm glad you weren't bothered by the worms," Ethan said with a chuckle, thinking about all the flailing, screaming girls. "If you want, I'll take them," he offered. The boy had been a bit startled by the ghost and the sudden worm-shower that he hadn't thought of taking a few for himself instead of brushing them off. "I can use them in the garden," he explained. "They're really good for plants." Well, soil... but then they benefited the plants. Besides, he didn't see that jar the professor had them in anyway. Ethan chuckled again when she mentioned Peeves. "A bit disruptive, isn't he?" Strange sort of ghost... he hadn't been used to that sort of thing at his old school. |

"I like carrying the bucket. Don't want to get lazy with my magic, you know?" She let Nigel lead the way over to the cages. It was a bit disappointing that he wanted to go with two fire crabs that may not even be awake for the duration of class, but Vivi crouched in front of the cages and gave them a look over anyway. "Sure, Nigel. These two are great." |
Catching up hihi. Quote:
"Let's go get..." Kat looked at the cage of fire crabs. "Those... crabs." Quote:
The great poltergeist had came. Great. Now what kind of MAYHEM willl he be bringing to us again?! And then the worst had came... "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Peeves had started dropping the worms on their heads. AND KAT'S HEAD. The fourth year went slapping away the worms from her head. Ewwwwwwww WORMS. WHY OF ALL THINGS?! Then she wiped out another worms from her back. After wiping out all of the worms in her body, Kat stood their shivering. Merlin's beard. |
Quote:
Hmmm... probably worms or something. Speaking of worms, what was Peeves doing right now? Or had the Bloody Baron scared him away by now?? Also, when was the professor going to explain what they were going to be doing??? |
Yep, it's Cardigan^_^ Quote:
"Let's go get our stuff, mmkay?" She said, tapping her foot on the ground. Cardigan wasn't going to let Ariana boss her around. She was going to instead! Cardigan's the name, bossing's the game! |

Tag was about the shake Kat's hands when Peeves came swooping around throwing worms on all the students heads. The little second year went swerving backward and forward keeping an eye on the ceiling trying his best to avoid the worms. But his partner Kat wasn't as lucky. They landed all over herself and her head. Tag had to tip toe and try to brush some of the worms off her head.He shivered when he touched the squishness of it. Ew. Gross. Even he didn't like live things that were squishy. "Ughh, there. I think they're all off now." He said to her with a little shaky nod. An then he hastily shook her hand and slowly walked over to a fire crab. Just with this chaos already, he would not like class today. Tag's beautiful hair could not get singed. It was one of his most prized possession. |

"Why don't you pick a fire crab?" Kat said. But she knew Tag didn't seem to like those things so she offered. "If you want, I could get one for you... you don't seem very fond of them either." Believe me, Tag, I was never fond of those flame shooting crabs. |
Someone to Claim here for anyone Quote:
Smiiirrk. She then looked at her "Sure let's Go Cardigannn!" And she skipped over to the table and grabbed a firecrab cage adn put it right in Cardigan's arms.. It's rear end towards her obvoiously and gathered the rest of her supplies . She then skipped back to their spot and on the way stopped to the kid who RUDELY got dirt adn a worm thrown at them "I Apologize again for Cardigan, She's just not herself today." GRIN |
plus some Daichi & Vivi *le shifty* Quote:
Kurumi's attention, which had been entirely on Theo until JUST now, snapped around when she heard the poltergeist say something about a dead student. Wait...did she...just.... Kurumi blinked a few times in the Ravenclaw's direction. Had she just...put those worms...in her...pocket? But then Daichi was screaming and Kurumi thought that a fire crab had somehow managed to already singe the poor Slytherin, only that didn't seem to be the case. It was just Peeves shouting about fire and stuff, right? "Daichi! You alright?" Well, of course he was. He was with Juliet. Tehehehe. Quote:
"Okay...okay...I did...I'm sorry...I should have been more careful while I flailed," Kurumi said, ironically flailing her arms a bit. Did he want cookies? Kurumi could give him cookies. Cookies always made everything feel and seem better, right? Although the whole pushing over matter was not really the issue...the fact that he was now crying about swallowing a worm. Kurumi scooted a little closer to him and wrapped one arm around the younger Slytherin and rubbed his back - like how her father used to do when she was sick. Not that Theo was sick... "No, you won't get worms," she reassured him. That process involved infected animals feces, fleas, mosquitos and eating vermin. Theo hadn't done any of that...that she knew of. o_________________O Nope...not gonna ask either. "Theo...um...the only way to...um...remove the worm is .....is....isifyouthrowitbackup." |

Looking back at Ethan she blushed and smiled shyly. "Oh sure if you want to hold them." She thought for a moment, "Well if the professor doesn't mind and your not going to kill them then I'm okay with you having them, but lets make sure the professor wasn't keeping them for a special reason. She had them in jars I think that's what Peeves emptied every where, poor worms." Yes she was feeling bad for the worms, they were living creatures and did not deserve Peeves treatment. "They are good for gardens, and they love that type of soil." she mentioned liking that he seemed not to mind different creatures. "Have you been around Fire Crabs before?" it was an honest question being from the muggle world she never knew who knew what even after four years at Hogwarts. Minerva then rolled her eyes, "I think that is an understatement when it comes to Peeves. He is always trying to get under someones nerves. I don't think any Professor can scare him off either, which makes it worse." she looked back at Peeves wondering if what she said to him earlier would help or not, but knowing Peeves probably not. |
