Hannah walked down to "class" and immediately spotted Elliot. She shot her a look. "How nice to see you here." She knew that Elliot had never before attended CoMC. She wondered why she changed her mind four years later. Hannah looked around and spotted the professor on her stomach on the ground. O____O and she actually wanted to be there because she was definitely playing in the dirt. Ew! People actually liked to get dirty? "Er, hello professor." She gave Elliot another look that said...is she for real? |
Cassia headed to the grounds excitedly. She likes outdoors lessons. They are so much more interesting than indoors. And especially that they have a new professor. Cassia only spotted her at start of term feast. She seemed nice and young. And Cassia liked young very much. Seeing a bunch of students Cassia grinned wide at the scene. She stepped closer to the Professor, "Hi Professor Newlin!" the second-year said cheerfully. Yup she had memorized the name and didn't forget it! Then Cassia sank down on the grass her legs crossed and her bag next to her. She looked around her and found Theo sitting not so far away. She waved at him smiling. "Hey Theo." Was it only her excited about the lesson? |

Juliet's head snapped to a very familiar voice calling out her name. Daichi. She waved her hand as her smile grew bigger. She then walked towards where he is and spotted the older Gryffindor with him. "Hey Daichi..." she greeted him and then her eyes shifted to the Gryffindor prefect "Hi, Kurumi" cue, smile, sitting down next to Daichi. "What do you think are inside those cages?" she asked. Excited!!!! |
Lou and Spikey too. With her bag dangling near her hips, it's strap around her body and resting on her shoulder, Beezus bounded to the Pasture where they were scheduled to have their first Care of Magical Creatures lesson with a new Professor. A bit stressed from what happened last night at the Common Room, the absence of animals rather went unnoticed. "Uhm..good...day Professor Newlin," Not really a good day if truth be told. If she was in a tad bit high spirit, she would've commented on how the woman was lying on the dirt. Fortunate enough for the new Professor, she won't be receiving any curious words from the Ravenclaw. With that greeting, she turned to join her peers. Then she saw him...and the Head Girl. Should she gooooooo? Yeah, definitely. Why not? They were all under the same house, they were friends...and...and.. "O-okay.." she muttered, more to herself before walking over to the pair. "Hi Louisa," Nod to the Head Girl. Then, "...Spike." She stared at him for a while but immediately looked away. Their conversation from last night was suddenly ringing in her ears. Maybe it wasn't a very good idea to join them. |
Arabella-Marie made her way down to the grounds and smiled at the Professor and said "Hello Professor looking forward to a great lesson today" |
Annabelle made it down to the COMC class. She was excited to learn about the new creatures this term. As she made it down to the classroom, she saw the cages. She gave a quizzical look and knew she shouldn't touch them or even go near them. Belle saw the professor in the middle of the grass putting her hand in the jar of dirt. Belle chuckled to herself and remembered she used to do that in her younger days. "Good morning Professor, how are you today?" Belle asked politely. She couldn't help herself but stare at the jar and ask, "Professor what are you doing to the creatures in the jar?" |
heh...peeeeeeeeerfect set up for this comment to be made *beams* Juliet too <33 Quote:
Kurumi glanced back at their professor again, who was still sticking her fingers in the dirt. "I don't think you need to be worried about that...unless there are flaming worms that live under the grounds of Hogwarts." Unlikely since there probably wasn't enough oxygen under ground where the worms were digging around in to keep them burning and all that. Smiling as Daichi called Juliet over, Kurumi noted just wheeeeeeeere Juliet had sat down. Hehehe. "Hey Juliet." Heh. Wouldn't Jonathan be amused in knowing that his cousin and Daichi were getting close. If only she had an address to reach him... *frown* |

Except...she'd said she didn't want to lose him. And much as he wanted to turn a blind eye, and forget that last night had happened, and ignore that aching feeling in his heart...he couldn't. She meant a lot to him, and if that could only be in a brotherly role, he'd somehow force himself to forget he'd ever thought about her in any other way. Eventually. It had to start somewhere, and despite last night's tears, she was here happy to talk to him. Biting his lip to stop it from wibbling, Spike slowly raised his gaze. "Beezus," he said quietly, looking up momentarily from his dirt picture, his cheeks warm from he wasn't sure what. Embarrassment, maybe? His stomach fluttered, and immediately he dropped his eyes once more. Why did it hurt so much? |
Text Cut: ZE AWKWARD spike & Beezus Yep, he was late. She was too tired to ask for reasons yesterday and now it was almost class so she just shrugged and smiled, "It's alright." Pause. "You know, if you're not feeling so well, you can just forget about these for a couple of days." She could reschedule her NEWTs studying hours and-- "Hi Beezus!" Louisa waved at the younger eagle, she was about to make place for her to sit between the two of them when the measured Blink. Louisa found herself staring down at the interesting spot on the ground, cutting some grass blades a bit nervously. How did one kill this kind of awkwardness?! She didn't know! "So.. umm... pretty excited for the new professor's teaching system." The silence was about to kill all three of them. |
Dylan was in a weird mood as he made his way down to the pasture. CoMC...Meh, it wasn't one of his favorite classes. Williamson had kinda ruined that one for him...but that wasn't the animals' fault. Nope, some of them were actually pretty cool... It was just that RoRo. Murderer. Poor Jupiter... The Slytherin hadn't forgotten about his lovely, gorgeous, AWESOME golden dragon. In fact, even though they'd only known each other for a short time, Dylan had loved that thing. Anyway, new Professor...So, he was up for a retry. Of course, if she was just as bad, the Captain might have to just give up on animals altogether. Really. One could only take so many bad experiences at one thing... As he approached the rest of his classmates, Dylan dropped his bag and settled himself on the grass. His legs were killing him and all this walking around...on top of the vigorous tryouts he'd just finish holding...Well, his body was in pain. So, relaxing. That's what was happening for the moment. Erm...Was that the Professor playing in the dirt? |
COMC. ...yaaaay. *sarcasm* Because Care of Magical Creatures was NOT a fun time. Especially because Professor Williamson was kinda psycho. Seriously. He basically SET RoRo on her. RoRo. The NASTY dragon. Shudder. Merlin, she hated that thing. BUT, this was a new teacher sooooo...hopefully she'd like the subject a bit more this year. "HAI Professor." Um...why was she lying in the dirt? "'S'cuse me but your clothes are gonna get all mucky." BEAM. Just being helpful. Blue looked around at the class for someone to sit beside. Theo was obviously the first choice but she ALWAYS sat with him so.... CASSIA. Blue skipped over and plopped down next to her, and BEAMBEAMBEAMed. "Hey Cassia! I'mma sit here, mmkay?" Mmkay. |
SPOILER!!: RPs (Ravenclaw Prefects) When she heard him say her name, she couldn't help but crumble a little inside. It wasn't supposed to be limited to that. It was normally like, 'Hey Beezus!' or 'Beezus! I'm glad you're here!' But having said everything last night, she couldn't really blame him. She wasn't even strong enough to talk to him like she used to, so who was she to complain? Attempting to curl her lips upward into a smile which blatantly turned into a frown, she walked towards Louisa's side and decided to sit there. And not between them. As the Head Girl said something about the new Professor, she merely nodded, not quite sure if she wanted to talk but she did anyway.. "Uhmm.. yeah. She's...unique." And weird. |
so. many. of. you!! Thankfully, the Professor's finger was not really stuck in the dirt, and by the time the first of the students started to arrive in the pasture, her jar was a quarter of the way filled with worms. Not that she really needed the jar filled, and not that she even needed worms, but she was out there, waiting for the students to arrive. She would not want to do it later. She was excited. And nervous. But mostly excited. Quote:

"Hello, Kurumi! Grise is doing just fine." Having the run of the hut now that she was inside of it alone. Probably playing with socks again. Quote:

She was wondering when someone was going to mention the cages! For a second there, she was afraid no one had spotted them. Which would have been difficult, seeing as there were quite a few laying around. "Hello!" she greeted, before taking a glance at the nearest cage and smiling. "You'll see as soon as the lesson starts. And the creatures inside of them are much, much cooler than a baby dragon." Or were they hotter? Quote:
The kids at Hogwarts were weird. Why were they all more concerned about what she was doing in the dirt rather than what were in the cages? Sure, it was really difficult to look in the cages, but they were there. All over the grounds. If she would have known they would have been more interested in worms, she would have done a lesson on them! She'd save that idea for later. "Hello. And I'm just collecting some worms." she eyed the jar before looking back at the girl. "Don't want any gnomes around." Quote:
Quote:
At least she didn't seem put off by the dirt digging. Or the worm wrangling. "Hello. And yes I am." Since she didn't ask why, that was the only answer she was giving. Quote:
Quote:
Vanora paused in her worm collecting to grin at the girl, more than happy to hear that she was excited. "Hello, Ella! Grise is doing good." It was a shame she hadn't thought to bring the coati along with her. But with the creatures they were going to be working with.. she knew that would have been a bad idea. Quote:
Oh, Merlin, she hoped not. Why else would there be pauses like that in a greeting, right? Did she have dirt on her face? Vanora used the clean sleeve of her sweater to wipe at it before smiling at the girl. Who seemed to be awfully close to that other one. The one who was curious about the dirt. "He--llo." She sounded like a robot. Quote:
She just hoped all their excitement would still be around when they saw what they were going to be working with. Vanora knew she would still be. "Good day to you." Quote:

Vanora actually sat up, just a little to see why the Ravenclaw would think that laying in dirt was uncomfortable. It wasn't like she was laying on a hill of fire ants, that would be uncomfortable, but not dirt. Besides, there was still a little bit of grass around. The creatures hadn't eaten all of it.. yet. "It's not uncomfortable." she shrugged before laying back down. "You should try it." Quote:
Then stared some more. She didn't even have even a little chance of greeting the Hufflepuff Captain before she went all.. crazy. There was nothing EWW about a worm! It was just a worm! It hardly did anything! And she was back to thinking about that lesson on worms. She would be amused, that's for sure. "Hello to you, too." She would have wiggled a worm in the girl's face, but that would have been mean. Quote:
If it wasn't so amusing, she would have told the all that they didn't have to worry. That they wouldn't be doing anything that involved worms. Dirt, she couldn't be so sure about. "Hello!" Quote:
Sort of. Quote:

Just putting them in a jar. Quote:
The first quiet one out of all the students. And he was the Slytherin Captain. Vanora grinned anyway, and wiggled her fingers in his direction. She saw him. Quote:

DYLAN. Just because. SPOILER!!: Slytherin Caaaaaaptain Perhaps the dubious were attracted to the dubious. Aspen was SUPER suspect about this class. Not that she didn't learn valuable lessons from Williamson - he'd taught her about adults EVERY time she was in his presences. She was just... not so sure the replacement, who was laying on the ground, being bubbly, and otherwise smiling for no apparently reason was going to be any better. Color this Odessa suspicious. She crossed her arms and just stood near Dylan quietly. No greetings. |
Text Cut: Louisa and Beezus *wibble* Spike shook his head. "No, it's fine..." he said, nibbling on the inside of his lip. Perhaps if he kept saying it, it might come true? He didn't like feeling like this. He wanted out and back to normality. If only time could be rewritten, and that his feelings hadn't just sort of tumbled out and made themselves known before he truely understood them himself. "Yesterday was just a one off..." he said, swallowing slowly. Things had to return to normality. Heh. Normality. He couldn't blame Beezus for sitting the other side of Louisa. It was probably for the best, really... He couldn't help but sneak another look at her though, despite it causing his mouth to go dry, and his bottom lip to threaten wibbling once more. He couldn't deny she was pretty, nor how much more this hurt than he thought would be possible. Big brother? Really, why was he kidding himself? He winced at his own feelings, though luckily was distracted from more self pity at Louisa's comment on the new Professor. He nodded slowly. Beezus was right, she was unique. Not many Professors happily laid in the dirt like that. "I wonder what she wants worms for," he murmured. Any other time, he'd have already started trying to find his own, for funsies. Not today, however. Today was for doodling broken hearts in the dirt. |
Minerva made her way to class and smiled when she saw the new professor. She hadn't heard to much about this professor so she was hoping she would be nice. She didn't think anyone could be as crazy with lessons as Professor Williamson was. They were fun lessons, but still crazy. Seeing many students already there she made her way to find someone to be next to, but made sure to stop for a moment "Hello Professor, I'm Minerva Wheatborn. So happy you have joined us at Hogwarts." then she noticed the dirt and wondered if that was going to be there lesson to day. Interesting.. Minerva thought as she made her way to some familiar faces. |
Text Cut: Blue Cassia sat down humming to herself while all students gathered and lesson started. Humming was allowed right? It's not like that was loud or anything. And here comes Blue. Cassia grinned at the BEAMing eagle and beamed back at her. Blue always cheered the snake not that Cassia is grumpy or something but she likes seeing excited people like herself. "Hey Blue!" Cassia replied. She opened her mouth to tell to sit next to her but that already happened. Hehee. Cool. Rubbing her hands together ,Cassia turned to Blue and spoke ,"What do you think we'll learn about?" Cassia was curious about the creatures in the hidden cages. "I'm hoping for centaurs!" Eh..a second year can dream right? |
Sure, she was still disappointed that she missed the dragon last term, but Emmaleigh was all excited for the Care of Magical Creatures lesson. She wanted to experience actuall live creatures, not just look at pictures in the books. New Bern had been horrible when it came to this class. The kneazles that roamed the halls were a poor substitute for the exciting animals they usually had at Hogwarts. Making her way to where everyone was gathered, she grinned when she saw the professor on the ground. The seventh year liked this lady already. “Good day, professor,” She said, taking a seat not to far away. Looking around a bit, she noticed the cages, and could barely contain her excitement. It was good to be back. |
Ariana skipped down to the pasture and hoped she wasnt late seeing as how she saw many students already "ello Professor!" she said all chirpy and excited as she looked around for max.. or damon.. hehe Damon would be nice |
Emil was hesitant in attending the COMC class. He was out in the school grounds, something that was weird to him, much like the Charms class earlier where they were in sand. He's just used to being in rooms with concrete floors and sturdy desks and chairs. But now he's here in Hogwarts and a first year, as a result of his mother being a witch. Now, he has this class to attend, where they'd have to deal with magical creatures. As a kid, Emil was afraid of the boogieman, and he wanted to ask the professor if that is real. But he figured this class is not the right place to ask about that. Maybe in private. "Good day, professor! Sorry I won't shake your hand" ... as the professor is digging through a jar with soil. He sat on a tree stump. He wasn't keen on dirtying his pants... yet. And he looked around to see the other students making their way to class, and just hummed silently waiting for class to start. |
Care of Magical Creatures..? This would be... either super weird of super awesome. Harlan hopped down to the pasture, not quite sure what she was supposed to expect. She hadn't ever really had.. or even seen magical animals. Except her owl, if that counted. Her horses, donkey and cows probably weren't super awesome fancy to the professor.. But they were to her. Harlan nodded to herself, it'd be fun.. And if it wasn't.. meh. She would see. 'Hello Professor, nice to meet you!' She smiled at the professor before finding a place near some students she had seen but never talked to. |
James sat down on the grass, he looked around and started laughing to himself. Watching someone catch worms was pretty amusing -especially if it was an adult. He then realized that he had not said hello, so he greeted the professor. |
Ella,Harvey,Theo,Blue,Nigel,Cassia,Elliot,Hannah,L ottie. GEE,Sophie's too sociable xD Sophie kept watching the new professor collect worms while she waited for the class to start. She liked the woman already. She sounded nice. And didn't mind getting dirty, like her motheeeerr! When other students started to come, Sophie noticed some of them were grossed out because the witch was on the ground, collecting worms. Didn't everybody do that? It was so normal...! "Oh hey, Ella!" The third year greeted her friend when she joined them. But WHAT?? Lotus was walking over and standing next to Elliot... again. Ugh. Uuuuuuggghhhhh!!! Sophie wished she could save the girl from such evilness... but it was Lotus' choice, so there wasn't much Sophie could do. Meh. OH! GRIIINNNN!! Harvey came over to stay with Ella.... teeeeeheeeeheeeeeee!!! Sophie grinned at them and wiggled her eyebrows at Ella when Harvey wasn't looking. It was her booooyyyyfriiieeeennnnddd!!! Eeeeeeeeeee! The badger smiled and waved at some of her other friends that sat pretty much near thenm, like Nigel, Blue and a random Slytherin girl that greeted Theo. Sophie should meet her later! When the girl spotted Hannah, she frowned. Obviously the she would hang with Elliot. And how rude of her to look at the professor that way. Ruuuuuude! So many students already! When was the class going to start?? Sophie wanted to know what were in those cage thingies!! |
Ella BEAMED at Violet as the older girl called her Elly Bean. Grin. She really did love that nickname. "Hey Violet!" And it was nice to see her since they hadn't spoken in a while! They'd need to hang out soon, yeah? And then Harvey came to class and Ella smiled sheepishly, giving him a small wave. Out of the corner of her eyes she noticed that Sophie was currently looking at her so she turned, eyebrows raised. O__O The eyebrow wiggling? REALLY? Ella feigned annoyance before cracking a WIDE smile at her best friend. That's right Soph, laugh it up. Ha-Ha-Ha. ...When was the lesson starting again? |
Silvia stepped outside the castle doors and quickly made her way down the lawn for the first Care of Magical Creatures class of the term. She hadn’t particularly loved the class her first year, though she hadn’t disliked it either. Instead she had been rather neutral towards it. That changed last year when she discovered that they would be working with a real dragon, and it soon became a class to always look forward to. She wondered though how anyone could possibly top those lessons, and if this new professor would be able to live up to Williamson. As she reached the pasture where the class was to be held, Silvia noticed that there were no hay bales for them to sit on like last year. So she took a seat on the grass along with the rest of her classmates. The professor was lying on the ground, picking worms, it seemed. “Hello Professor,” Silvia greeted in her usual manner as she waited for the lesson to begin. |
