CoMC 3

Even though the weather was getting warmer each day, Vanora still couldn't get herself into a good mood. She was still very, very upset about the death of her jobberknoll, and after finding out that her abraxan had disappeared after the previous lesson, she wasn't too sure about holding another. What was going to happen!? She didn't want to bring anymore creatures out if something was just going to happen!

Luckily, though, at the very last minute, she thought of a lesson that required no creatures at all. Sure, the students might be disappointed, but hopefully they understood.

The pasture where the lesson will be held is clear of everything. Everything except the grass and a very long table sitting in the middle. Numerous bins, enough for everyone, sit on top of the table, but it's not advised to open them just yet. Professor Newlin is standing on the opposite side, waiting for everyone to arrive.

"Pick a spot at the table in front of a bin. The lesson will start soon."
OOC: This lesson will officially start in about 24 hours.

DaniDiNardo 11-19-2012 10:43 AM

When she heard the class would be in the pasture she practically bolted over. CoMC was already one of her favourite classes and being out in the open appealed to her a lot.

A big table was the first thing she noticed...then the bins and finally the Professor. "Hello Professor!!" BEAM.

As far as she could tell there weren't any animals around. This made her wonder just a bit. Didn't this class deal with creatures....--

Was a grass a creature that no one told her about?!?! She'd been walking on the stuff for as long as she could remember!! O___O EEeeeep. Lex hopped onto the table, taking a seat then looking curiously as the bins. What were they fooooooor? "Professor are we catching grass and learning the art of feeding it??" Even though they'd all neglected to pass along the little grass memo to her she could catch on quickly. In a place like this anything could be a creature...

Professor & Lex!

And a lesson outdoors...Just the thing Cassia needed because it is so very boring those days. So many classes and homework. Fifths years and seventh years are freaking out already about their final exams. Why did they have to freak out in public and bother the people who had nothing to do with it. She is a second-year and she only wanted to pass this term and have fun. She second-year headed to the grounds tucked in her robes and wearing light clothes underneath it. It was getting warmer.

Once she reached the place where the lesson was held Cassia noticed that no one had yet showed up except for Lex. The Slytherin, grinned at her Professor, "Good Day Professor Newlin." The woman looked a liiitle bit better. Or Cassia forgot how the woman looked before.

Then she took a look around and noticed no creatures. Were they hidden somewhere? In the bins? But the containers were small. Then the creatures were definitely small as well. Satisfied with that conclusion ,Cassia chose a spot next to Alex and settled. "Hey Lex..What do you think is in the bin?" She asked excitedly. The two girls mostly thought about the same thing. Except of course at Quidditch games when Lexa thought it was cool to paint her own face. "I think it's a small creature." Mhmm...It was so obvious..Duh!

With his boy mittens on, Theo dragged himself to the final CoMC lesson on the grounds. Sure, it was getting a lot warmer these days, but Theo could probably feel the cold in Egypt.

"Hi, Professor." He nodded, and then took a seat on the long table next to Cassia. "Hi!" He said, then acknowledged the Gryffindor next to her. Hummmm.... Theo remembered her as annoying, but he gave her a small smile anyway. Cos he was sooooooooooo friendly. Anyway... the boxes, what was in these boxes?

Last CoMC class for the term. Kat walked all the way to pasture where the classes were usually held. Thought a bit happy today, she was still annoyed by the previous lesson because of the fwooper incident. Kat was actually half-considering that Newlin was a bit weird. Not insane, but just a bit weird. Sighs. Professors.

"Hello Professor," Kat greeted the CoMC professor with a nod. Maybe a hint of a smile as well. Then the blonde looked for an available space to take a comfortable seat. If Kat senses another fwooper, she will REALLY run away before Newlin tries to 'unsilent' the bird.

Outside of Herbology, due to Professor Bentley being her Head of House and all, coming to Care of Magical Creatures was the most conflicted the Gryffindor felt emotionally. Her favorite subject was coming to an end. Well, in terms of her years at Hogwarts that is seeing as she would be continuing her studies in the subject at university next year. Still, it was with a heavy heart that the Gryffindor finally made her way down and over towards the tables and bins. "Hello, Professor Newlin," she greeted, trying to force her lips into a smile but finding it rather difficult to do so.

She then made her way over to the tables and bins as instructed and simply looked at it for a moment. Hmmm...what could they be doing today? Collecting...grass?

Bazinga 11-19-2012 02:09 PM

Minerva walked to the pasture. Well they were having a lesson...outside.. in the grass.. open area.. yup they were sitting ducks. Was all Minerva could think about. She tried to push it out of her mind though, nothing had happened with that stupid plant in a while, so maybe it had enough and was being a good little whatever it was. She smiled towards Professor Newlin the best she could, "Hello Professor. Nice day today, isn't it."

Looking around she found an empty place to sit and went over sitting around the bin. She wondered what they would be doing for the day and if there would be any animals shown. Looking around she did not see any, so she wasn't sure what the topic of discussion would be. Hopefully not another singing bird to make them all wacko again.

Too many things had been happening at Hogwarts this term and she wan't looking forward to any lessons... not that she ever really looked forward to them. She was on high alert for a human eating plant and just really was not feeling being around animals... how many had they lost now? She walked to the pasture and didn't see any animals at all. Maybe the professor knew that it wasn't safe?

"Hello professor!" She still seemed sad, not that Hannah could really blame her with everything that was going on. She took a seat in front of a bin and hoped that nobody was eaten today!

Laura smiled as she walked into the classroom. "Good day Professor." Laura smiled this lesson was going to be awesome, well she was going to try and make it awesome anyway.

Making his way down to Care of Magical Creatures, Dylan was...cautious. Was something going to die today? Not that it wouldn't be interesting...but everyone was getting pretty freaked out by it...and the Slytherin didn't want to be witness to it, just as a personal preference.

Seeing a couple of his teammates present, the Captain made his way over, standing nearest to Kinsley with the table of bins stretched out in front of him. The lesson was starting normal enough, anyway..."Professor." Head nod to you.......

In the middle of her musing over the bin she heard a voice then felt someone hopped onto the desk next to her. "Hey Cassia!" GRIN. If there was one thing she liked about the girl it was her curiosity. The girl always seemed to have a question about everything. The class hadn't even started yet and she was already trying to figure things out. "I don't know...I was thinking grass but then it's every where and it's probably not a creature anyway..." She was willing to admit it wasn't one of her smarter moments. "You're probably right though...but which one...?

And now Theo was nodding at her...? Weird. She was sure the boy didn't like her very much. Meh. She nodded right back. Back to the bin. It was really bugging her that she didn't know.

Bliss scurried down to the pasture where today's Care of Magical Creatures lesson was being held. As she hurried, she tightened her red jacket more closely around her. Although it wasn't all that cold, she still wanted to wear her lovely warm jacket. Beside, Bliss was the type of person to get colds really easily and colds were not nice at all. Nu-huh.

SIIIIIGH.

Eventually she reached the edge of the pasture. She looked around and noticed that the pasture was clear of everything but students, the Professor, some bins and grass. Hmmm, this could be an interesting lesson. As she walked past the teacher, she gave a cheering, "Gooood day, Professor Newlin," before moving further into the pasture. She then noticed that everyone was sat behind one of the bins and she did that too.

Now it's time to wait. MHMMM.

a very cheerful Sarah is sitting on Lex's other side -

Sarah was glad about the weather and she skipped merrily to classes. There was so much to be happy about she put her hand on her left hand side and felt for her heart - yes it was beating , she was alive. Her heart was beating, her lungs breathing, she had just gone to the bathroom so her digestive system was working just right.
"HELLO PROFESSOR" she sang out merrily. "Ain't the weather glorious! I am so happy to be alive on such a nice day" she said.
She then spotted Lex, Cassia and Mr. Grumpy and she went to sit on the other side of Lex. "Hey guys" she chirped. "Lex," she said to her friend, "I love Hogwarts in the Spring". Then she noticed Bliss, "Hiya Bliss! Don't you love the spring breeze, the fresh air carrying wafts of blooming flowers..." Yes, Sarah was in a VERY GOOD MOOD!

Last COMC class of the term..... and it was completely devoid of animals?

Vickers eyed those plastic bins, seemingly empty from where he stood. He then eyed the Professor next, wondering if she was going to do something crazy like what she did the last class. Having them hear the Fwoopers' song.... insanity that was. Literally.

So there he sat a bit far away for where the Professor was, just in case she might spring something at them out of the blue. As for his greeting? A simple, polite nod of his head. Merlin knows if greeting her good day might not actually be good for him at all...

Lissy Longbottom 11-19-2012 07:56 PM

Bins? One could only guess what was hiding in there for them. Alex was still focused on the fire crab assignment he had to complete for this class to worry about it too much. Softy needed a bath soon, and he was dreading it. He wanted those points, though!

As he walked in, he took a seat near one of the bins and smiled. "Hello Professor Newlin," he said happily.

Time for another lesson of Care of Magical Creatures. The redhead made her way down to the pasture where the lesson was going to be held while she chewed on a muffin. It was around second breakfast and she couldn't exactly miss it, so food on the go was her best option.

Just as she arrived at the lesson she finished swallowing her last bit of muffin. And now she was full of a happy tummy. With a smile on her face, she nodded to Professor Newlin, "Good day, Professor." With good days exchanged, she made her to the table and waited for the lesson to start.

Eliza wondered what the lesson would be about this time. It had been a little...ruckus last time, which was fun and all, but she was getting a little worn out from all the happenings at the school lately. Not to mention how crazy she'd felt as she ran around Hogwarts due to the fwooper's song. It had been a lot of fun, but she thought perhaps she should stay a bit more sane at the school now, given the circumstances. She walked past the professor and gave a polite greeting with a smile.

"Hello Professor Newlin," she said and kept walking. Now what are these bins for? She tried to look through the plastic sides of them, but her view was obscured by the density of the material. Darn...guess I'll just have to wait. She took in a breath of fresh air and exhaled slowly. A nice relaxing day in the grass hopefully?

Ella wasn't feeling so good as she made her way to the last Care of Magical Creatures lesson. The third year was quite tired and the fact that this was the last CoMC lesson of the term didn't do anything to help her mood.

"Hello Professor Newlin." She greeted as cheerfully as she could, giving the woman a genuine smile. The third year then quietly made her way to an empty space at the table, eyes on the ground. Meh.

Expecto-Penguin 11-19-2012 09:32 PM

As Belle entered her favorite class ever, she was walking down and saw there were bins in front of their seats. Belle was kind of confused but knew the professor might have a fun lesson planned for all of them. Belle saw the professor and smiled and greeted with, "Hello Professor Newlin! How are you today?"
Belle was curious about what was in the bin. She could not help but look at it.

Gideon couldn't believe he had gotten a late start. The prefect having nearly fallen back asleep after breakfast. It was all this studying he had done before, having gotten involved in reading and lost track of time. Not good...not good at all. After enjoying some tea, he headed down to the pasture where the lesson was mention to be taking place, finding the bins that had been laid out. There was also a good amount of students already there though thankfully a glance at his watch showed that he wasn't in fact late which allowed him to relax.

"Good morning, Professor Newlin," he greeted with a polite nod. Following her instructions for the class, Gideon moved towards one of the tables that lay infront of the various bins. One could only guess what might be inside or at least what they would be dealing with for this class, but it wasn't as if they had to wait too long for all to be revealed in the end.

Woo! Care of Magical Creatures. Anya had been having a yearlong struggle with trying to not seem so clueless when it came to this lesson. In fact... she'd taken to reading the textbook and trying to forget everything her brother and almost sister had told her.

She'd found that she'd been doing way better since then.

"Hello Professor." she said brightly as she approached.

... wait, what? These bins looks suspiciously NOT like a magical creature that she should be caring for.

She hesitantly took a spot in front of one trying not to look too disappointed.

Syd 11-20-2012 02:04 AM

Yawning, Jake entered the pasture. He hadn't slept well the night before and had seriously debated skipping class and sleeping. But his studious side had gotten the better of him and so here he was.

"Good morning, Professor," he greeted with a wave as he looked up to see Professor Newlin. He turned toward the seats and headed over, slipping into the desk next to Anya. Yawning again, he looked over at her. "Hey."

Anna Banana 11-20-2012 03:55 AM

Sierra made her way down to the area where the next Care of Magical Creatures lesson would be held. As she walked across the grounds, she looked around, admiring the way the weather had changed and was starting to become warmer. Ahh, sixth year, coming to a close. It was sort of scary in a way, really.

Entering the class area, she took a seat and sat silently as she waited for things to get underway. A few seconds later, she noticed the professor nearby and gave her a small smile. "Hello, Professor," she said.

FearlessLeader19 11-20-2012 04:12 AM

Jory was pleased to be outside again for another class. More classes should be kept outside, he decided looking around at the pasture.

As he reached the students, he noticed they were standing in front of what looked like bins. But there were no creatures today. "Weird,'' he muttered. "Good day, Professor,'' he said before he followed suit and stood in front of one of the bins.

MissGlee 11-20-2012 07:43 PM

Lex strolled into class, constantly flicking her pink fringe out of her eyes. "Good morning Professor," she smiled. She sat at one of the further away ables. Lex noticed the large plastic bins that was placed on top of the table. She looked around the room and saw that this was the same for the rest of the students. No creatures? Hmph, well that was a disappointment. What was 'Care of Magical Creatures' class without the Magical Creatures part? Oh well, hopefully there was some sort of fun aspect to this.
