The classroom is as usual immaculate. The rows and chairs and everything is in perfect order but somehow the classroom seems so much bigger. That is because it has been expanded to fit a section section. This section has chairs like the ones you would see in a hair salon and hanging on the back of the chairs are aprons.
You know what to do when you enter the classroom, don't let the professor remind you or you really won't like it. She's in a foul mood because of the destruction of her precious annex.

Minerva looked at the word and instantly started to try and figure it out. She tired to think if she saw it in any of the charm books she had borrowed from Professor Schirmer her second year. She could not think if she had ever seen the spell before. So instead of actually thinking of the spell she looked at the words. They could be broken up couldn't they. They had to tell their meaning maybe. They had to do that in other classes before, so this shouldn't be to hard.
Starting with the first word she thought Cresco.. Cresco sounded more like a cooking item then a spell, but that was beside the point. She had noticed the chairs when she came in and thought. Cresco was latin, so it had to mean something to change, but what did it change. Then she looked at the other word. She had seen that word before it was about hair. Placing her left hand up she quickly wrote the word on her parchment with her right. "Professor, Capillus is hair, so I am assuming Cresco means to change in someway. So I am going to say that this spell must be able to change our hair or someone else's hair." She hoped she was close to being right at least, but if she was correct this excited Min very much. She loved to transfigure her hair all the time, so it would be great to know a charm as well. Maybe she could even volunteer to have it done by the professor for demonstration.

Daichi hung his head low as he was called back again. Why did he have to leave the room? At least his tie was adjusted now and he could always place the muffin in his bag right? HMPF she should be happy that he hadn't been late for class!
"I'm sorry Professor" he muttered "I just...didn't want to be late for class" with a loud sigh he walked to the classroom door and out of the room. In the hallway he quickly ate the muffin and adjusted his clothes. Looking down, he noticed that his shoelace was loose and he wondered how on earth he had not tripped on that during his running. He quickly tied it together and while taking a deep breath he re-entered the classroom again. "Can i come in now Professor?" he asked, just to be safe as he eyed the words of an incantation on the board.

"Can anyone tell me what this charm does?"
And as the Charms Lady gave the go ahead to take their seats this Ravenclaw eagerly scuttled back to his own, slipping into his chair quietly and busily rearranging his already perfectly lined textbook, parchment and quill.
Calm down, calm down... oh listen there's the first question....
Vickers blinked at the board for a moment, trying to recall the latin elements to those words, the latter one being more familiar than the first. Up goes the hand "Professor, capillus usually refers to a single fillament of hair on the head, the plural of which is capillī...." he paused for a moment as he thoughts processed the second word "... whereas cresco can be said to mean to become visible, arise, come forth even grow and thrive..."
His gaze shifts quickly to the Librarian. They were going to grow more hair on that already blessed head?

Leo was fidgeting and it was distracting her a little bit. She knew the man was nervous and the class hadn't even started yet. It was a good thing she didn't tell him exactly what he'd be doing then or he'd be shaking like a leaf right now.
Sophia chuckled lightly. It was a slightly nervous, slightly just been caught sort of chuckle...err umm she'd make no promises..heck she had made no promises about that.
"You have nothing to worry about Leo, you're doing fine." She gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze then continued to look towards the door as the students walked in.
Leo did have a lovely head of salt and pepper curly locks.
From his 'special chair' Leo watched in silence as the student's walked in one or two at a time. He nodded or waved at them awkwardly as they addressed him like they did Sophia. Sitting up straighter when he felt Sophia squeeze his shoulder Leo tried to think positive thoughts. This was going to be fun and it was for the student's benefit.
The classroom or at least the part he was sitting in was a hair dressing saloon but Sophia style. Leo almost wished Monte Bossa would walk in. At least with the Hogsmeade hairdresser around, he could trust that he by the end of the class would have all his hair intact. With his best friend it was sceptical.

Hmmm... Hannah wasn't completely sure about what that word meant, but if she used context clues she was sure that she could come up with a pretty good guess. Even the chair that she had the librarian in looked a lot like a chair somebody would sit in to get their hair cut. Yeah, Hannah actually knew about that even though she had never been to one of those places personally.
Come to think of it why was the librarian helping out in this lesson? Maybe he had lost a bet because he didn't look all that thrilled to be here. "Professor, I too think the charm grows hair." If that was the case then Hannah wanted nothing to do with it. She loved her long blonde hair and she didn't want anything to happen to it.

Why was the Professor looking at her like that? Did she have a hair out of place? Was her tie not straight enough? Granted Lex didn't care about either but she didn't like the idea of being sent out of the class. When the Professor didn't say anything more she figured it had nothing to do with the way she looked therefore it wasn't very important. Why a shrug she settled into her chair and wrote the spell they would be learning on her parchment.
What the spell did? How on earth would they know that? It wasn't taught yet. Her hand rose slowly; she was gonna ask but then she heard others making guesses based on the name of it.
Oh.
She knew that.
Since her hand was already up she figured she'd take guess too. "Based on what everyone's saying I think we might be working on some kind of hair growth thing...right? So we'll be like magic barbers today but 'cept we're giving hair instead of cutting it off?" She just wanted to make sure she understood.

Eliza had never met the librarian before, but now that she had she thought she might make it a point to do so later. Anyone who would offer themselves as a guinea pig for a class full of Charms students was either really brave, dim-witted, or just really nice. She was inclined to think that he was not dim-witted, and the strange look on his face implied he may not be all that brave either. So, nice it is then. Good. She smiled at him from her desk, hoping the lesson would go well for him. At least as far as his hair was involved.
Everyone seemed to think the spell had to do with hair growth, so she did not repeat their answers. She did however look up the spell in the book her mother had sent her for Christmas. Just because everyone else is saying it, doesn't mean they're right, she thought. She quickly found the spell in the index, then flipped to its page and read the description. Cresco Capillus...to grow...and hair. Yep, that all sounds about right. She looked at the barber chairs all around them. I'm not so sure I want students growing and cutting my hair! She clutched her light auburn locks and hoped she wouldn't be losing them soon.

Bliss looked around the classroom quickly, she kept wondering why the Librarian was here. Maybe she'd missed someone say something while she'd been daydreaming. As she looked around, she notice Lex, Minnie and Theo. Theo looked quite, quite interested in the lesson, she thought and suppressed a giggle. Focus. She turned her own attention back to the charms lesson.
Focus. Focus. Focus.
Bliss stared at the front of the classroom. Cresco Capillus. Cresco Capillus. Cresco Capillus. She repeated it in her head, firstly so that she could memorize it and secondly so that she could try and figure out what the spell was. She didn't really have any idea at all, so she decided to just keep quiet and wait until Professor Bellaire told them what it was.

Ella smiled widely as Harvey joined her and Theodore but didn't say anything, not wanting to get either of them into trouble. Besides, Professor Bellaire didn't seem to be in the best mood today and Ella didn't want to be thrown out of class. When they were instructed to sit she did so quietly, pulling out her quill and parchment.
Cresco Capillus? In truth, Ella only knew this had something to do with hair. The part that freaked her out was that several classmates were saying it was a hair growth charm. Blink.Blink. The third years eyes darted over to Theodore and she raised an eyebrow. Wast this the charm Mordred had used to grow Theo's nose hair? EEP! The poor little guy was already traumatized from that and now he'd have to work with the spell. Hmmm...
The blonde sat quietly, scribbling down the incantation and possible uses for the charm while she waited for Professor Bellaire to explaine what they'd be doing.
"You may all take a seat. Get out your ink and parchment and focus on the board. If you chat excessively in my classroom after this please be prepared to be thrown out."
She turned to the board and wrote in bold letters.
Cresco Capillus
"Can anyone tell me what this charm does?"
Belle took out her notebook and copied down the spell down with her quill. Then she heard the professor ask the class what this charm does. Belle wondered what it could do. Belle knew Cresco dealt with hair. So Belle could guess that right? "Professor doesn't this charm involving growing hair and is that why you are using a another professor for an example?"

"Professor, are we going to learn a spell that will reverse the effects of any future bad haircuts I might get?" Because sometimes her mother started to believe she knew how to cut hair.
Laura looked at the Professor and smiled. "It some sort of Hair growing charm I think Professor." Laura wasn't sure if she was right but she was going to have a guess anyway it was worth guessing right.

Looking up at the professor, Sierra studied the words of the incantation. She wasn't a fluent Latin speaker, but as a sixth year, she'd studied incantations long enough to know the basics. Finally, she raised her hand. "Well, cresco means to grow," she said, "and capillus means hair. So it should be a charm that makes your hair grow." She instinctively ran a hand through her fairly long hair. Merlin. If it got any longer, she'd sit on it.

Glancing at the board again, Kurumi bit down on her lip in deep thought before raising her hand. "Capillus is Latin for hair...and cresco can mean to grow or multiply..." Oh Merlin...this was going to be. Heh. Interesting. "It is a spell that makes hair grow?"

Professor Bellaire looked down at Leobald and smiled."Exactly. Professor Kitridge has volunteered himself to assist with today's lesson." Such a good sport.

She pinned the apron around him and ruffled his hair just a bit. "Now it's best we start with a clean slate." Or well....a cleanly shaved head. With a flick of her wand all of Leobald's lovely curly salt and pepper locks vanished from his head leaving him completely bald. Right. Raise his hand. Theodore was glad that Professor Bellaire didn't give him too much of a grilling for that. He beamed at her, cos his answer was ALMOST right. This was kind of giving him flashbacks to the nose hair incident, so he shuddered.
Oh...
PARTNER DASH?
His eyes darted round the room, but he couldn't find West or Blue. His next option was Ella, but she was sat all lovey-dovey with Harvey, so he let out a HUFF. Theo got up, and stood idly, waiting for someone to take him. Because someone WOULD, right?

The Hufflepuff Captain sat down and pushed in her seat, unwillingly causing a little bit of noise as she did so. Good thing she wasn't too loud, because this Professor did tend to be rather strict.
Anyways, time to focus on the Professor. Renesmee took out some parchment and a quill and listened carefully, ready to make any notes she felt may have been necessary.
When the Professor put up the words 'Cresco Capillus' on the board, Nessie just pouted. She'd heard of it once before, but vaguely remembered it. Instead dshe listened as some of the others answered and it was now she put two and two together.
O______O
All of the librarian's hair gone just like that? Erm..well he was brave.
The red head watched the demonstration and bit her lip a little as Mr. Kitridge grew hair again. It looked a little scary, but none the less. Nessie looked around trying to spot someone to partner with."Erm, anyone wanna partner up?" she asked trying not to sound nervous about this whole hair thing. Her red hair was VERY precious to her, and if anything happened to it, she would be FAR from impressed.

Kurumi swallowed. Hard.
Appearance altering spells had yet to work on her at Hogwarts. None of them. No matter what subject the spells had been in none of them had worked. Polyjuice potion had worked on her, but that was it. She had even had a meeting with Professor Magnus over the matter and it just seemed that the way her abilities had manifested in her that such spells were ineffective.
Which was why she nervously walked past her classmates that were searching for partners and over towards Professor Bellaire. "Excuse me, professor, is there some other way I could practice the spell? It wouldn't be fair to my partner..." she began, trailing off at the end just a little. "Appearance altering spells, especially those in regards to my hair, don't work on me."

Though Cassia liked learning new charms and stuff she didn't like the part where Professors say 'find a partner and practice'. Especially when the spell has anything to do with HAIR! Her blond beautiful hair. She didn't want to become bald like Mr.Kitridge had become. Though Professor Bellair made his hair regrow it still wasn't appealing. But she had no choice did she? She shot glance towards the door to see if she could make a run for it without being noticed. But it was impossible with two professors around.
So she had to surrender her hair to someone. But this someone should be trusted! Cassia rose from her seat and looked around she saw Kat and immediately headed towards her. "Hey Kat,let's partner up." Because Kat is a fellow Snake. And not just that she is also a girl. Girls understand the importance of hair.
Cassia took a deep breath and retrieved her wand. And then glanced at the note she had just written. "Cresco Capillus." She murmured. Good it wasn't a hard one to pronounce. With her quill Cassia started making ripple shapes you know practicing the movement of the wand. "Cresco Capillus..." She repeated. "It's not hard ,right?" She said turning to Kat. The relief was that Kat was older than Cassia so she must have more experience. But Cassia would make sure to preform this one successfully for Kat's hair's sake.
"okay, you can start on me after you practice." She said none-too enthusiastically. HAIR involved here. But you know Cassia needs to see how it's preformed first.

Laura didn't like the sound of this one bit, she raised her hands and smiled at the Professor. "Professor I like my hair the way it is, will it go back to this?" Laura didn't want really really really long hair because it would be annoying, she then looked around the room and smiled. "Anyone want to be my partner?"

Great, nobody wanted her. Kat was about to give up even LOOKING for a partner until...
KYAAAAAAAAAA. She looked around. "Oh, hi Cassia," Kat smiled at the younger Slytherin. Well, hearing Cassia saying that she wanted to partner up totally relieved Kat. At least she didn't have to be alone. It felt awful to be alone, just to be completely honest. Anyway, Kat was cool with Cassia and the two were kinda getting close and it's creepy. Not so creepy, but it was cute in a way.
Kat practiced the spell for a few tries at first. "Cresco Capillus," Kat said with the fluid movement of the ripple. Whoosh, whoosh like the waves by the sea. "Cres-co Ca-PIL-lus. Kat said. Pronunciation counts. Hard, Cassia says? Really? "No, it's not as long as you know you can do it." She was starting to sound like a Ravenclaw, but that didn't matter since she was almost sorted to Ravenclaw. The Hat was... decisive that time. Lucky hat.
"I can't perform it on you yet," Kat said. "Maybe we should wait for Professor Bellaire's signal." Otherwise, it's bye-bye to those House points. Same happened to Kat during her first year, when she and honorary sister Cass Prewett started throwing ropes on the dummies. They lost ten points apiece, and that's a lot to lose. Kat does not want to repeat that again. Ever.

Vivi wasn't going to be overly precious about her hair, although she was fond of it and would like very much not to be bald. Still... There was no harm so long as the spell could be fixed or reversed, right?
She watched Kurumi make her way to the professor, her brow crumpled and thoughtful, before she jumped up and joined the Gryffindor girl. She linked her arm through Kurumi's and gave a gentle tug. "We can try, though. If I can't get it to work on you, I'll cast it on myself and you can fix it."
Vivi turned her attention to the professor. "It only works the one direction? We can make it longer but not shorter with this spell?"
Louisa was twirling a lock of her hair nervously ever since class started, she liked the idea of getting perfectly good at that spell. Using a spell to change the look of your hair, those who knew Louisa close enough would know this was something she frequently loved to do. Change in general was her way of being 'adventurous' and 'experimental', and so was look altering spells.
Sitting on a chair and watching the librarian get his head bald and then long hair, the Ravenclaw was excited to take a turn. She grabbed her wand and without any incantation started making ripply wave moves, almost like an orchestra leader. But no intentions or incantations. "Ethan? Do you need a haircut?" She grinned at the younger 'claw standing nearby.
