Default Charms lesson 2

Welcome back to the charms classroom. Those of you who are returning students will remember the dark well polished furniture and the stone floor that is so clean you can almost see yourself in them. Professor Bellaire is waiting at the front of her classroom.

IC rules:
1.Ensure that your uniform is immaculate
2.Come in quietly
3.Stand by your desk (do not sit until she tells you to do so)
4.Keep the chit chat to a minimum and if you can't control yourself, don't speak.

She walked back to the front of the class and turned to look at them. "Today we will be banishing balls to baskets. I'll like you all to once again step out of your desks and come to the front."

She gave them time to do so and once they did she banished the desk and chairs to the back of the class. Demonstration number one. Now there was a large enough space in the class for everyone to be able to practice the charm.

"The wand motion is very simple. All you need to do is point your wand at the object you are banishing...like I just did with the desks and chairs."

With another flick of her wand the container of brightly coloured balls appeared at the front of the class and so did many different baskets. The Charms professor got to work lining the wall with the basket and placing the ball container a few feet away from. "The aim is to banish the ball into a basket...like so."

She demonstrated causing a purple ball to fly into a basket.

"If you are clear on the instructions you may begin. If not feel free to ask questions."
Vivi waited as the room was reorganized before raising her hand again and asking a follow-up question. "Do you think that if someone was really focused and really clear, they could cast something miles away? I would think there would still have to be an outer limit to how far we can banish something. Could I put away my socks in a drawer in my bedroom at home?" Not that she would ever dare send her socks so far away... her feet were already cold.

She turned her attention to the balls and the baskets. The wand movement seemed pretty simple, and the incantation equally so. Perhaps she could master this one non-verbally by the end of the class period if she tried hard enough. Vivi pointed her wand at a blue ball and flicked her wand, giving a clear "Depulso". The zipped across the room and landed just on the outside of the basket she'd been aiming for.

So... okay. Perhaps she'd work on her aim FIRST.

Scribble. Scribble. Scribble.

Ella took down notes as Professor Bellaire pointed out the important comments and questions that her classmates had given/asked. She made special note about the importance of concentrating. Oh! And she couldn't help but smirk a little at Bellaire's response to Theodore's question. Heh. Her thoughts exactly!

Stepping out from behind her desk, Ella made her way to the front and stood by Sophie, eyes on the Professor. She was impressed with the way the desks and chairs were suddenly moved to the back of the room, smiling excitedly. Magic was seriously cool.

Right. Simply point at the object you're trying to banish...which in this case would be one of the brightly colored balls. Ella could do that. She walked over and picked up a lime green ball, bringing it back over to where she had been standing. Taking a few steps to the right, the third year aligned herself with a large basket and studied it carefully. She wanted to have her mind as focused as possible for this.

Placing her ball down in front of her, the badger removed her wand and stood up straight. Deep breath and point. "Depulso!" O___O Suddenly her ball took off like a rocket strapped to the toy train her and Theodore had crashed in HoM towards the basket. MEEP. But instead of going into the basket, it hit the back wall quite hard and then fell to the floor. ...Well that was unsuccessful. On the bright side, at least the ball had gone in the right direction AND her charm had been powerful. Those were pluses!

After retrieving the ball, Ella returned to her spot and placed it down in front of her. She was determined to get this, especially after seeing Soph do it so awesomely. BEAM. Sophie really was good at this charms thing. Right...but she needed to concentrate. FOCUS TIME. Pointing her wand at the ball, Ella closed her eyes for a moment and tried to clear her mind of any other thoughts. She needed to think Ball IN basket....Ball IN basket. Yup. She was ready.

Deep Breath and..."Depulso!"

The lime green ball took off like a rocket again, just as it had the first time. This time it seemed a bit more controlled, though. Like it knew just where it was going. BEAM! That was kind of cool, actually. And EEP! The ball had flown right INTO the basket! IT WENT INTO THE BASKET! OH MY GOODNESS! She'd done it. GRINNING like an idiot, the third year went and retrieved her ball, wanting to practice again...and again and again.

Watching the professor demonstrate she felt a little at ease, this didn't seem like to hard of a task. She had accio down pretty well, so why wouldn't this one just be as easy.

Stepping out to some orange balls she looked at the basket. Not wanting to get the word wrong she said it in her head a few times. Once she was ready she pulled her wand up and pointed it to the ball. Just as she said "Depulso." Ethan caught her eye and her focus on the basket had turned. Her wand flicked his way and the ball went towards him bumping him in the leg. She felt herself turn red instantly and she couldn't help but giggle a bit, "I'm sorry Ethan, something must have distracted me." you of course, she thought to her self as she walked over and retrieved the miss placed ball.
A little more concentration, he figured.. and it annoyed the boy quite a bit to see others (first years?!) achieving the desired result before him. Taking a few deep breaths, Ethan tried to gather a little more focus and pointed his wand at the ball once more. He fixed his gaze first on the orange ball, then on the basket directly behind it. -oh. The boy's attention was diverted and his head turned as he felt something hit his leg. His eyes drifted to the orange ball on the ground next to him, then searched for it's apparent owner. "What.. are you mad at me or something?" he chuckled as he heard Minnie's words. He gave her a wink as she picked up her ball then turned back to his own. He was not gonna let some first years show him up! Ethan pointed his wand at the orange ball and concentrated on the basket. Depulso. The boy grinned as the ball flew into the basket. Yes.

So Bellaire saw the mess on Oakey’s hair and now he’s being ordered to fix himself up outside of the classroom. Woops. Mordred stood up and patted his friend’s shoulder, got his wand from the table and moved at the front, side stepping along the way just in time as the desk was banished toward the wall. The boy crossed his arm as he watched the professor arrange the baskets and the colored balls. “This is going to be easy.” He thought as he scratched his temple and listened carefully to the professor.

Nod nod...and nod.

“Depulso, aim and concentrate. Okay. Let’s do this.” Mordred got a red ball and placed it on the floor and retrieved his wand lazily. “Aim...concentrate.”...The boy inhaled and exclaimed, “Depulso!” but nothing happened. “What?!” Mordred’s eyebrows furrowed in irritation, realizing that he’s missing something. “Of course, intent. I missed that one out.” Inhaling and exhaling, the fifth year tried the spell again with much intent, that when he cast the banishing charm on the ball, it ricocheted violently as it hit the opposite wall and toward the classroom door.

Mordred watched his red ball fly towards the entrance of the classroom. Oakey went outside of the classroom to clean himself up, right? “Oh dear.” Mordred muttered under his breath hoping that Oakey won’t be entering the room that second.

Minerva blushed even more at his words, "No..No, why on earth could I be mad at you. I..I well someone distracted me.." she smiled again and then he winked at her this made her blush again, okay time to turn and try to focus. Minerva turned back to her own basket and took a few deep breaths to calm down from whatever that was. Shaking her head she focused on the basket then the ball and back to the basket. Pointing her wand she flicked it "Depulso" the ball flew almost to the bucket and dropped. Well at least it went in the correct direction this time.

"Very good Mr.Vanderbuilt, it will do you all well to take notes of that." She eyed the rest of her class.

"After..." Oi, she shook her head..." you banish an object it goes where you send it so naturally a lot of concentration is needed."

"Nice to see you reading..class you may also take note of that as well." The older students were on fire today. Very good, it made a job a bit easier.

"very good, that is correct." The girl received an approving nod.

Miss Kim hadn't been reading had she? "No the object doesn't just vanish into thin air, because we are not vanishing the object inwhich we'd need to somehow disintegrate the object, what we're going is banishing it." And just to be safe she turned to the board and began writing.

"You banish an object to a desired location and you bring it back using accio. But that depends on the object you have banished and where re the distance you have banished it to."

"You can but I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to banish them very far." And also, just because she expected better from him she continued.." I don't expect you to try banishing anyone Theo."

"Once again, we are not vanishing objects we are banishing them." She tapped the board loudly. Focus.

"You can banish just about anything.."

"Yes concentration and aim is very important when casting the banishing charm."

"There should be nothing nasty about the banishing charm if you do it properly. And everyone here will do it properly."

"Very very good. Exactly there is no going into non-being with the BANISHING charm. You are sending an object away from you."

"No, the charm simply will not work. It will be like telling a dog to sit when you have not taught him the command to do so. He will simply stare at you and if he's a good dog he'll pee on you for being silly."

"Good answer. That is correct. It's nice to see students reading and revising." Especially before coming to her class.

Sophia walked down the middle isle so she could be closer to everyone and because she figured she was mostly finished giving notes manually for the moment, but it was a good thing she did too because if she hadn't she wouldn't have noticed the spider webb in the boy's hair. Hmmm.

"Your answer is correct but get out and clean yourself and your hair up."

"A boggart isn't exactly an object is it? It's not a physical being so the depulso charm would not work on a boggart because there is technically nothing there to place the charm on to manipulate. Do you understand?"

Hmmm..

"Like most spells the limitations would depend on the caster." She felt like she said this a lot but it was true. "But I think once you have a clear idea and image of where you are banishing the item to then the distance shouldn't matter as much." But it still was a factor in casting the charm.

"That is correct." As was said before.

Angelina wondered how well banishing balls to baskets will go for her. She was not so great with Charms, but she will try this. Once the professor told them to step out of their desks and come to the front, Angelina fallowed with the rest of the class.

While the professor was talking, Angelina did everything she said to do. She pointed her wand at the ball she was banishing and waited for a good time to make it fly. When the professor was done talking and the class started banishing their ball Angelina joined.

"Depulso!" Angelina called out as she watched her ball fly into the basket she picked out a while ago. The ball landed perfectly on the side of the basket, almost not making it inside, but luckily did. Relaxing a bit more, Angelina smiled at her success.

That was a interesting thing to learn. Nigel could basically banish anything with this spell. Even people. Well at least he would get to try the spell now.

The Ravenclaw walked up to the front to get a ball. Once he picked out a awesome colored ball. He placed it on the ground and got set to do this awesome spell. Next he pointed his wand at the ball and thought of where he wanted the ball to go.

Okay, the spell was Depulso. Now he was ready. One, Two, Three. "Depulso" and just like magic the ball jetted to the basket and went it it. YES!!! He did it. While mentally celebrating he saw a older Slytherin's ball rocket out the classroom door to where Oakey went. Well that can't be good.

He should have seen this coming. Typical Bellaire would do some kind of inspection of the students find Oakey unsuitable for class. He should have just kept his mouth shut and not have answered the question.

"Yes Ma'am"
Oakey said as he picked more pieces of web from his hair and walked out the door. After about five minutes of standing in front of the mirror by Bellaire's office Oakey looked himself over and deemed himself worthy of going back to Class.

Quickly looking down at his robes he patted them down to make them look less wrinkled. As he picked his head back up a small red blur shot itself directly into his face! "AGUH!" Oakey blurted out as the ball landed a direct hit to his nose and smacked him backwards back out of class!

Did Oakey just knocked himself out of the room?

Mordred gaped at the open door and did a loud facepalm. “Oh.Sweet.Merlin.” Mordred muttered under his breath, shaking his head in disbelief. He should have just asked his mother to make a lifetime supply of Felix Felicis for Gunter. Putting his hand down, he calmly walked toward the door and peeked outside the hallway.

“You always welcome accidents with open arms don’t you?” the Slytherin asked his best bud with a confused look on his face. “You look ahead, whenever you enter a portal Oaktree.” Mordred said matter of fact as he looked over his shoulder to see if Bellaire was in sight. Apparently she’s a bit busy watching the other students. “Come on, get up.” he said as he stretched out his hand to Oakey.

He better be, because he wants to get back down to business and master this banishing spell, although by the looks of it, he doesn’t need any more practice to shove a person with great force.

Oakey lay flat on his back looking directly up at the ceiling, for some reason it was increasingly difficult and painful to breath out of his nose. He slowly lifted himself up so that he would be sitting on the floor near the doorway. Taking one hand he felt around the floor to find a the culprit of his demise. He grasped the red ball in his hand and put his another hand to his nose to see what damage was done.

He moved his hand from his nose and looked down to see that a small amount of blood was covering the tips of his fingers. He quickly placed his hand back over his nose and pinched it tight to prevent anymore blood from coming out. His nose also felt slightly off center.

He looked back up when he saw Mordred standing before him at the doorway. "I would be less prone to accidents if Harvey let me bring your gift to school with me." Oakey gave a small smirk to his best friend. "says he's worried I'd use it before matches and exams."

Setting the red ball back down on the floor Oakey reached for Mordy's hand and stood up with his help. "I should probably stay here." There was no way Bellaire was even going to let him breathe in her class now.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

Jory played basketball loads of time when he was at home and he was good at it. But for the first time, he was sure he won't be able to get the ball in the hoop. For one, he wouldn't be using his hands.

He grabbed a purple ball and then placed directly in front of the hoop. "Here it goes,'' he said to himself as he readied his wand. "Depulso!" he said picturing the ball in the hoop. The ball shot out of his hand and made a beeline for the hoop. Just as Jory thought the ball would make it, the ball hit the brim of the hoop and bounced onto the ground. "That went well,'' he thought as he jogged over to get the ball.

The Puff positioned himself once again in front of the hoop. "Depulso!" The ball took off again annnnd this time it went into the hoop! He was delighted. He could be good at shooting hoops with his hands or wand.Who knew?

Aim, one of the first things he learned when he saw the spell being done the first time on him, so yes he does know full well the importance of it.

He stood when they were told to do so and watched the Professor set up the classroom with their next activity. He eyed the baskets that started to line against the wall and then the colored balls. Its like Muggle basket ball..... which he had started to learn over the summer.....

... he can soooo get into this sort of thing.

Given that he has never really done any kind of shooting hoops using a spell he tried it first by selecting a random ball and aiming his wand at it "Depulso!" he uttered and the ball flew out of the basket, bounced once on the floor, hit the wall on rebound and plopped nicely into the basket.

Hehe... lucky shot.

Tag looked all around himself, slightly confused and out of it for a moment. What'd just happen? He felt like he was out of his own body element, maybe he shouldn't have gone to sleep so late last night. Maybe he wouldn't be out of it. Right. Sleep earlier tonight.

When he stared at his classmates for a few seconds, listening and watching them he finally realized what he had to do. Use the depulso spell to aim one of the colored balls into the basket. Seemed easy.

Taking his wand out Tag steadied his hand for a few mili seconds before aiming it at one of the balls. Concentrating very hard on it-and the spot he wanted the ball to land in Tag said "Depulso!" with some vigor and the ball landed inside the basket.

The banishing charm. Honestly, even though for the most part Kendall had been paying attention to the discussion and she'd been taking notes to prove that, part of her had also been wondering if she should get another kitty as a companion to Accio and name it Depulso. All she'd have to do is make sure she never had her wand out if she said it's name, after all, because otherwise she'd be banishing it who knew where all the time. And that wouldn 't be very good if it was supposed to be a playmate for Accio. Maybe not a kitty. An owl?, she thought idly, keeping herself from doodling on her parchment as her mental train of thought continued movign away from the lesson. She didn't want Professor Bellaire getting angry, especially as the woman had already ordered a Hufflepuff to leave just because he'd had a spiderweb in his hair. Doodling probably wouldn't go over well either.

Her attention had gone back to the lesson as the topic had moved to an actual practice of the charm, though. Especially as she'd had to stand up and move to the front of the classroom as the desks had all been banished. That's easy. Just point and cast, she thought, watching as balls had been set up for them, along with baskets. At least it wasn't facing a hurricane, unless people really started being horrible with their aim. Or, their focus, as it seemed was the case. She wasn't about to add to the possible chaos, although her eyes had flickered over as a red ball had flown off and collided with the poor Hufflepuff. Yep. definitely don't want to do that. Although now it apparently was her turn, and she flicked her wand out of its holster as she stepped up to the arrangement of balls. Here goes, she thought, pointing her wand at whichever ball had been closest to herself and concentrating on visualizing one of the baskets. At least that was the easy part. "Depulso!,' she cast, continuing to think about the basket and almost not watching the ball as it had rocketed away from her. She didn't want that breaking her concentration, but her hazel eyes flickered over as she heard a faint sound of something hitting the basket and watched her ball just hit theedge and tilt the wrong way. At least it was close enough.

Blue scrunched up her nose. "Afteeerrrrrr, then. Sorry." Not really though. Sometimes she didn't pronounce her 'er's. Wasn't her fault, really. Nope. She tapped on her desk as everyone else asked their questions and swung her legs when she got bored with that. Lalalalaaaaaa.

Oooh, spell time!

She bounced up and pulled her wand out of it's holster and waved it around madly, just because. She skipped over to the basket and grabbed a purple ball because she was getting a little tired with having everything blue and skipped back to where her desk had been. She placed the ball down at her feet and pointed her wand at it. "Depulso." The ball rolled a little in the direction of the basket but rolled right back.

Again. Blue pointed her wand at the ball and said very forcefully, "DEPULSO!" It zoomed off the completely wrong direction, hit the wall and came flying back. Wide-eyed and with a squeal, the twelve-year-old dodged the ball and ran after it, avoiding other students. She grabbed it, still bouncing in a corner and gave it a GLARE. "YOU'LL DO AS I SAY OR I'LL POP YOU." She wasn't even sure if she'd be able (maybe with a needle) but whatever. The ball would understand the threat.

Okay. Third time's a charm. She placed the ball at her feet, pointed at it and muttered, "Depulso," It flew into the basket this time and Blue punched the air in victory.

Such a smart child.

Did she understand? Yes, it was simple enough. She nodded but didn't comment since the lesson seemed to be moving along. She made it out of her seat just in time for the desk and chair to be banished to the back of the room. She stood with the others and listened to the demonstration and instructions.

Shooting balls into goal hoops? Or, well...baskets. Cool! This sounded oddly familiar, didn't it? To Sierra, at least.

After everything was all set up, Sierra stood a good distance away from the basket. She raised her wand into the air and checked its aim. Oh, man, this was so much like Quidditch to her. The only thing they were missing were the brooms and goal hoops high in the air. Everything else seemed so similar.

With a point toward the first ball, Sierra said, "Depulso!" BAM. The ball shot straight forward and into the basket, making a beautiful sound of glory as it did so.

OOC: I usually have her not get things right away or have to really work at it, but since she's played Quidditch for six straight years, I thought it was IC to have her get this right away.

Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

...

Unbelievable. The one time her wand actually decided to work left her feeling nothing but bored. Now she knew why she messed up so often; it gave her something to do. Sure she was happy 'cause she got it and now she wouldn't look like such an idiot with everyone else getting it but ...it just wasn't the same. When she had to work hard at the spell she felt happier when she got it. This time it just seemed...to easy? Was that it?

With nothing really occupying her time she decided to have a second go at the spell. Raising her wand hand she pointed at a red ball and cleared her throat. Intent. Right. "Depulso!"

This time the ball bounced off the rim of the basket and came darting towards her. She ducked, hoping it hadn't severely hurt anyone but really, she was more glad it didn't rearrange her face.

Lex grinned. Gosh she missed getting stuff wrong and noooow she could try again! The Professor didn't say they had to limit themselves to only one ball and besides she was getting in some practice. Turning to another blue one because blue was amazing she took aim. "Depulso!" This time she watched in satisfaction as the ball went into the basket. Now she felt like she earned it and in fact she could do this all day--or well...until the Professor changed the activity anyway.

She breathed a sigh of relief when Professor Bellaire placed the balls and baskets out for them to use. Giving them something to practice on before anyone got the idea to start trying out the spell on random objects in the room was definitely a good call on her part. She liked the set up - easy example to learn with. Object starts here, object ends there. Seems simple enough, right? she thought to herself.

She claimed a purple ball from the bunch and stood across from a basket. She sat the ball on the ground a little ways ahead of her, took careful aim at it and called out, "Depulso!" She jumped back, startled, as the purple ball took off fast, like a baseball player on steroids had just smacked a home-run. It shot through the air, past the basket, hit the wall, bounced and came right towards her face.

"Look out!!" she said loudly, in case anyone else was near the line of fire. Sh ducked quickly, throwing her hands over her head in one fast motion.

Sarah looked a around... she was cheating. That was not good.. she better do it the right way. She saw others doing it. Even Alexa was doing it properly... this cub was putting Sarah to shame.

Sarah reached for another ball, a yellow now because Sarah liked sequencing things... the next ball would be orange then red, then, pink, then purple, then the blues... She placed it in front of her and pointed at it and aimed inside the basket. "Depulso!" she said and to her jubilation the ball dropped into the basket with a flourish... she had done it!

They could banish people. Excellent. Theo just nodded, but decided to hush after that, because his possible plans could be frowned upon...

Banishing balls to baskets. Sounded simple enough. Theodore pulled out his wand, and jabbed it forwards without words to practice the movements. He knew he'd do well with this spell, purely because the movement was easy. Positioning himself in front of a basket ball, Theo pointed, and... "Depulsio!" Jab, jab. Nothing immediately happened.

EHH? But he did the wand movement PERFECTLY.

He listened to a few of the other students, and soon realized that he had said the incantation slightly wrong. No worries, then... "Depulso!" He said, like a real wizard, and the ball shot up into the air and plopped down into the basket. OH YEAH - Charms was officially his best subject. As well as his favourite.

Score one for the Quidditch star. Heh.

Or, at least, that was how Sierra enjoying seeing herself--a star. 'Something is just wrong with self-promotion,' said no one. Ever. She smirked to herself and went to align another ball with the basket. Oh, look at that. A green ball. House pride, for the win. Sierra was just full of pride today.

As always.

She backed up and aimed her wand at the ball. "Depulso," she said, pointing the wand forward. The green ball shot toward the basket, but just when it looked like it would go in, it bounced off the wall and rolled to the floor.

Err. Nobody saw that, did they?

Daichi was still surprised that his spellwork had actually worked the first time. Usually he had practise about a dozen times and even then it did not work. He knew why that was, his wand. Phoenix feather was the most difficult to control yet also the most powerful one.

He tried again and pointed his wand at one of the balls. He concentrated on both the spell and basket and shouted a "Depulso!" Right at the same time someone shouted 'look out'. He was too late to react since his concentration had been on his own charm and he suddenly felt a pain on his face.

"OOOWWWW!" He cried as he broke contact with the spell by moving his wand arm to his nose and the ball flew to the back of the room behind the students instead of in one of the baskets at the front. "My nose! it huuuurts" he whined as he continued to rub. "Who did that?!" he called from the various *depulso* shouts and tried to find the evil-doer.

Ella was on her way back with her lime green ball when her eyes fell on Mr. Good Hair Morbid Mordred. She watched as he attempted the charm, eyes following the ball as it headed straight for the door an-

O_____O

CRINGE. Poor Oakey.

The third year cupped a hand over her mouth as she headed straight for Sophie, trying to prevent the laughter that was threatening to escape. Sure she felt bad for Oakey but that was just...Meep. And for Mordred to be the one to do it?...Giggleeee. She eyed her best friend with raised eyebrows, mouthing to her so as not to anger Professor Bellaire. DID YOU SEE THAT? Brows. She then gave her a look that said LEAVE IT TO THOSE TWO and went back to her spot, placing her lime green ball on the floor.

Pointing her wand at the ball once more, the third year shook thoughts of MOakey comicalness out of her head, focusing on the basket across from her. Yup. She wanted that ball to go RIGHT into that basket it. "Depulso!"

And off the lime green ball went, shooting through the air with crazy speed and heading right for the back wall. "Come on....right in the basket..."

BEAMMMM. SHE SHOOTS. SHE SCORESSSSS!

She peeked out from underneath the long sleeves of her black and navy robes and heard a sudden "OWWWW" called from behind her. Oh no! she thought, suddenly worried that she had hurt someone. She scrambled to her feet, spun around, and met eyes with Daichi, the boy she had met at the Winter Wonderland Party. She rushed over to him and said in a flurry of hand waves and apologetic gestures, "Ohmygosh Daichi, I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Let me see! I didn't mean to - I-I" She hoped he wouldn't be too mad about it, and that she hadn't done much damage. She definitely didn't want to hurt anyone but almost even more than that she really didn't want to get in trouble or deemed unsafe and thrown out of class! Especially now that they were talking a little and she'd heard how much Bellaire hated talking in class. She looked around nervously as she reached down to pick up her purple accidental missile. Please don't get me in trouble, please, please. I love Charms! she pleaded silently.

Default Zee lovely people, aka Ella, Mordy and Oakey
Arts TRANSPONSTER!

Sophie was still all giddy because her spell had worked and the ball was in the basket. That was niice! She could practice that spell aaall day long!

Before she could do anything, she saw another ball shoot to the other side of the room, just like she had done on her first attempt. But instead of hitting the wall like hers, that one ball hit Oakey right in the nose! Sophie gasped and watched what followed with wide eyes.

Wut! It had been Mordred who attacked Oakey with the killing ball that knocked her housemate back out of the room! Merlin! .... At least it hadn't been on purpose... well... hopefully.

When Ella came and mouthed something to her, Sophie just nodded, still a bit shocked. Mordred and Oakey hadn't gotten back into the classroom yet. Whatever had happened??

Blink, blink, blink. Why hadn't they come back to practice the spell yet?? Whyyy??? Sophie frowned and stared at the back of Mordy's head door for a while before turning around to look at the colourful balls again. If something was wrong, professor Bellaire would fix it, right? No need to worry.

Besides, CHARMS. Chaaaarms!

Sophie held up her wand once more and pointed it at another random ball. "Depulso!" Aaand there went zee ball into the basket again! Tadaaaah!! Grin!
