Lime-y... he let out a little chuckle. "So you like lime flavoured sweets?"
Alec smiled, trying to act as normal as possible. Sure, he wasn't normal, but he wasn't a complete weirdo. Because... he wasn't. No. Not really... right? "Yeah... yeah, it was fun! That's how dad and I usually spend our time together..." Speaking of... he did miss his dad. Even if he was going to go to the coolest school ever. Wait... Ella has played video games with her dad as well? That was pretty impressive. "I... what kind of games do you usually play?" ... A Quidditch video game... that would be pretty awesome!
Friends? ... MESSY! "No... I mean... I saw Tag and he came over for a bit," And there was his best friend as well. And he saw Alice and Ells, right? Yeah! And his bro! "Erm... I haven't seen Messy all summer. Have you?" If Ella hadn't seen Messy as well... Alec might just get a bit worried. But then Ella started talking about her summer and so, Alec sat back and listened. "A puppy? Awesome! Which... erm... which breed is he?" GRIN! Puppies were awesome! And... wait! WAIT! Did Ells just say the name 'Casper'? Alec sat bolt upright and blinked at the fellow Hufflepuff. "Casper. You mean... you've met Theo's twin brother?!"
Ella hoped Alec didn't think she was weird for the whole lime-y comment. EEP. But he was just...blinking at her and giving her this...look. Oh great. He totally thought she was the weirdest Hufflepuff alive. She should have kept her mouth shut and-Wait! He understood? HE UNDERSTOOD! Ella BEAMed at him, nodding her head. "Right? The lime-y...est." Ells couldn't help but think that Alec knowing what she meant made him even more awesome. "Yeah, I really do like them the best...plus they're green. That's a bonus." Grin. "What flavor is your favorite?" She asked with a smile, picking out a red gummy worm and chewing on it.
So video games equaled bonding time for Alec and his dad? That was like...normal guy stuff, yeah? Ella imagined lots of boys did that kind of thing with their dads. Since Ella's brother was too little to play video games, Ells kinda stepped in and learned to play instead. "That's pretty neat. Dad and I play guitar together sometimes. He's really into music." Or he used to be...before everything happened. Oh...and what type of games? "We play a lot of Mario bros. and then some fight game...Mortal Combat, I think. Actually, that one is kinda fun." But violent...which wasn't so nice.
So Alec hadn't seen Messer? That was...weird. Ella was sure they would have hung out or something. They were always teasing each other, sure, but boys did that sort of thing when they were friends, right? "Oh...well Tag is really nice. I met him this summer in Diagon Alley." And he seemed to like sweets just as much as Ella did, which was pretty awesome. "All summer? Me either. I hope he's okay!" Maybe he had gotten sick all summer or something?! EEP. That wouldn't be good! She didn't have too much time to worry though, as Alec was inquiring about the breed of Dino. "He's a bloodhound and he's adorable, Alec! His little floppy ears and his wrinkly forehead...he's just the cutest...I mean at least I think he is." But she was kind of bias, yeah? He was HER dog, after all. The blonde was a bit surprised by Alec's reaction to the Casper comment and she smirked at Alec, eyebrows raised a bit. "Yeah!...I met him in Florean's and we um...talked a bit. Why? Do you know Casper as well?!" Maybe Casper had lied about being a wizard to Alec too!

"What would you have done if a cat knocked your owl from his cage then chased him up the train?" Might not have been very different from what her and her friends did seeing as this girl was a thinker that actually had a brain in her head.
"Yeah she did, she said we were being stupid and a bunch of other stuff really but I stopped listening once I realized it wasn't the kind of lecture I would have been interested in." She said with a nonchalant shrug. "I don't know why but older kids just always think they can do whatever they want, I've barely started my school life but I think I know the type of people to avoid." Namely anyone old enough to be considered a teenager. Her eyes went wide as she looked over at Bliss, for a moment she might have choked if she didn't have composure. "A whole year?! Seriously?! Well that's a bit harsh. Are they all strict like that?" She was suddenly very unsure about whether or not she would enjoy her school days.
She had to agree with Bliss on that one. She didn't have a clue as to why they were there but it most likely wasn't for the reasons she had thought of. "Oh," she said, now trying to remember how she had found out. "Well I ran into this older kid who told me to be on my best behaviour because of that very reason then later on when I met the woman I told you about someone hinted that she might have been one of them." That's pretty much the only reason why she knew. Yup.
Bliss' bright blue eyes followed Lex as she moved across the compartment and sat down directly across from her. Bliss nodded as she listened to Alexa, "Yes, all the logic was yours," Bliss agreed and giggled. "Ari?" She asked, she hadn't heard of or met Ari before, she was curious to know who she was. "Poor Archer," she sympathised, imagining how sad the train would be if an animal died on it. Never mind the fact that another would have eaten it. "I'd chase after her," Bliss agreed and nodded. Everyone would do that same for their pet. She was sure.
"Well. To be honest, she herself sounds stupid! She doesn't have the right to talk to you like that, or anyone in fact!" Bliss said, with a frown on her face. People like that annoyed her greatly, very greatly. The types of people to avoid wasn't something Bliss had thought about. She was a very people person and loved most people she met. But some people she didn't give a second glance. Bliss giggled as she watched the younger girls response to her words. "I very much doubt it actually. But you never know, it depends how bad you are," she told the girl truthfully. Bliss had so far not been in trouble and she didn't plan on getting into trouble ever.
This was all so confusing, but she didn't think that she bother thinking about it all too much. She ran into someone and they told her? Fair enough, that's pretty much what they'd done themselves. "That sounds fair enough, I guess we'll just have to wait and see," Bliss said with a shrug.

He was glad they hadn't spoken on the way to the compartment since his mind was busy filing away information on the people they were passing. When she spoke to him again, he had to refocus on her since he was watching people pass by their compartment.
They got on the train quite early and so their compartment was, unfortunately, empty. However, he was still holding hopes for more people as they boarded. If not, Micha's not bad company.
"I'm fourteen, " he answered, wondering what on earth she was doing taking so long to get settled. Neat freak. He filed that away. "What about you?"
Ace was pretty young as compared to his level of maturity. Most people were surprised to find that out. Especially since he looked about a year or two older than that to some people.
"Are you nervous about Hogwarts?" He asked, hoping for a bit of deeper conversation. Perhaps this might entice interesting information.
As she sat, Micha noticed how focused Ace was on the people passing their compartment. Easily distracted much? She couldn't blame him. She was too, and being in a new place with new people was no help. The whole experience was rather surreal.
"Same," she answered, being snapped back to attention by his question. Though she'd be fifteen in December. "What month is your birthday?" she asked, not meaning to pry. It seemed like she was usually older than most of people in her year by a few months.
Until he'd asked the question, Micha had tried not to think about it. She shrugged. "I suppose. It's very different from where I went before. There weren't nearly as many people." She was already homesick... just not for her home in England. She still hadn't quite gotten over the move, though they'd only been there for about a week. They hadn't even completely unpacked before she left.
The thought paining her, Micha resumed gazing at the people through their little compartment window.
He was having no trouble at all. Well.. at least he was trying to hide it. Though, he couldn't help but laugh to himself as a few younger students struggled with their own trunks. But he didn't care about most of them 'cause boys could handle themselves. It was the girls who always needed help and Coul never turned down a cry for help. Not from a girl at least.
But at the moment, he didn't really see any girls in need of help, so he tugged his trunk into an empty compartment before somehow managing to toss the thing onto the top shelf.
And now? Now was time for relaxing. Because he'd need to be fully rested and prepared to flirt with any and all of the girls he knew he'd be encountering within the next couple of hours. So with the compartment all to himself, he sat down, put his legs up on the rest of the bench, leaned back and crossed his arms behind his head.

Her cheeks DID flush a bit more in color to his touch, but that was more instinctive than anything else really. At least he wasn't being overly touchy and sort of weird like he had been in Ancient Runes. Or like that Richard guy she had met in the bowling alley. That had been really awkward. REALLY.
"Thanks, Elijah. I'll hold you to that promise," she said with a small wink. "Although...you don't really have to show the new Headmaster your backside to make me smile." In fact, Kurumi would probably prefer that he didn't literally do that. Could be...bad...and awkward for everyone.
Kurumi had intended to ask him about his summer, but the appearance of the Aparecium had her more than a little distracted. Never knows what it's talking about? Kurumi supposed that was...partly true. "Things do seemed to be based on fact though," she said shyly as she chewed on her bottom lip a bit more, reading over the sentence again with her being mentioned. "Really? You see me as a good friend?" she smiled, looking up from the parchment and momentarily forgetting how she didn't see how his logic matched up....at all. "I can take care of myself though." Sort of. "Why would it mention Lewis though?" Because....having someone else looking out for her well being didn't seem like something that should be a concern to her boyfriend.
Which was when someone else came into the compartment and Kurumi turned her gaze away from Elijah and the parchment in her hand.
Oh! Kurumi recognized this girl...she was always giving her weird crosswise looks and glares during lessons. Maybe a good eye roll here and there. Not to mention that whole fiasco with Paulie in Charms. Kurumi actually knew her little brother better than she knew the Ravenclaw, come to think of it.
Cocking her head to the side, Kurumi blinked at her for a few moments. "There is a proper way to do that?" she asked with the innocence of a first year.
It was just like Kurumi to see the LOGIC in things and realise that whilst Aparecium was mostly filled with over exaggerated dragon dung, there had to be some baseline of truth SOMEWHERE. "Not necessarily," Elijah continued to defend, "Sometimes people make things up just to be malicious and stir trouble. Particularly people who choose to remain anonymous. Cowards."
Yes, Aparecium. COWARDS!
"Course I see you as a good friend! No one else would take the time out to help tutor me and you've always been very nice to me," he said genuinely. That nice moment was short lived, however, when she began being all LOGICAL again. This is why Elijah didn't bother developing his brain and LEARNING, because if you did then you would overthink things and then cause inconvenience in other people's lives.
"Sure, you can take care of yourself, but it's always nice to have other people wanting to look out for you, no?" At least Elijah thought so. "I have no idea why they mentioned Lewis. Perhaps whatever nitwit wrote this believes that it should be the sole responsibility of the boyfriend," distaste again, "to 'keep an eye' on his girlfriend."

Before she sat, without asking, Aspen paused to stare in turn at each of them. Then, quietly offered, "I can show you how to keep an eye on someone. Properly."
And literally. A sloooooooooow smile appeared on the Ravenclaw's face and she waited for a volunteer.
It was then that Aspen Odessa arrived into their compartment. Elijah really liked Aspen, not that he would ever admit that to anyone EVER. But, he liked how she was different to other girls and rather quite interesting. Quirky, almost. "Heyyyyy Aspen," Elijah flashed her a smile as she sat, shimming closer and closer to her so that their shoulders were almost touching.
He had been about to ask her allllll about her summer when the 'Claw offered to show Kurumi how to keep an eye on someone... Oh Merlin, no! She wouldn't DARE. Elijah eyed her, willing her to shut up since he'd thus far done a good job of keeping Kurumi naive to the whole thing. "I'm sure you don't want to give away all your trade secrets,"Elijah gave off a fake laugh, putting an arm around the girl and patting her on the shoulder maybe a little too hard. "Such a good gal, Aspen. How I have missed you," he said the last part through gritted teeth.
Did I say Elijah liked Aspen....? Hm.

"I don't actually know her," Silvia said. "She hasn't taught at Hogwarts in years, not since before I came. We've had Seren Bentley as our Herbology professor the past few terms. I'm really curious to know what she is like too though. Tate had a really good reputation, and I don't think there was anyone who wasn't disappointed when he left." It will be so weird, she thought, to see someone else sitting in Tate's usual chair at the opening feast. She never really liked the changing of professors, and hoped whoever was brought in this year wouldn't be a let down.
"I'm in Ravenclaw, although most of my family was in Gryffindor. My grandfather and I are the only ones recently to have been placed in Ravenclaw. But I suppose there are good things about each of the houses, and the sorting hat will know which one is right for you."
That's all Ariella had heard theses past few days, and weeks. The sorting hat will know where to put you. They were right, of course, but Ari just really wanted to know what house she would be in. Thankfully she wouldn't have to wait much longer now...
"So what are some of the classes like?" Ari really wanted to know about those! She had bought all of the books she would need and had skimmed through a few of them, but it would be nice to hear about them from an actual student...

Ronnie walked along the corridor of the train with her arms full of sweets from the food trolley, looking for an empty compartment to sit in. After a while of searching, she finally found one and slipped into it. Once she put her things away, she plopped down onto the seat and relaxed, looking out the window. Merlin, she was tired. She had done so much this morning to get ready and was very exhausted.

Dora always had the hardest time getting her trunk to the luggage compartment in the back. It was so HEAVY and she'd lost her uncle at the station and so had no one to help her get the thing onto the train and in the back.
Not that she would have asked for help even if she did have someone. Isidora liked to do things for herself if she could help it.
Everyone was always so ROWDY on the train and so she was moving carefully, but deliberately, searching for an empty compartment only there was none. Maybe someone would share? Maybe this new boy share.
"Hey," She let herself in and took a seat across from him. Her blue bag went to take the space beside her. "You're not looking to sleep are you? I wouldn't do that on this train." Any train really.

Olivia had a relaxing break from school, she was excited to go back because this year she would be considered one of the older kids instead of one of the younger kids, well more of a middle aged kid instead of younger or older. Either way, she loved school. Olivia slammed down the newspapper "This is ridiculous, I can't believe we will be having increased supervision on the Hogwarts express and at Hogwarts". She rolled up the daily prophet and tied a string of twine around it so it wouldn't come undone.

Yeah... he could be casual about this... even if he kind of wanted to laugh right now.
Ella smiled sheepishly at Alec, shrugging her shoulders. "Yeah? I thought they were kinda silly, actually...but thanks." Maybe just maybe if Alec thought they were awesome, they really were. He was an expert on all things awesome, yeah? And he thought the green ones were nice too? Brilliant. "They are really nice." She agreed, nodding her head before popping an orange gummy worm into her mouth. The badger looked up and grinned at Alec when she heard his choice, thinking that was a great pick too. "Hufflepuff...yeah! I never thought of that before but they kind of remind me of that as well. That's good thinking, Alec."
The small blonde smiled at the hair ruffle. That was definitely Alec's trademark, yeah? If anyone ever tried being Alec for a day they'd definitely need to get that down before they were successful. Oh, and they'd need to practice being really nice as well. Mhm! "Play? Yeah...I mean not really well or anything. Logan taught me during first year. It was...fun to learn." Though she hadn't been practicing as much as she should have. She was gonna change that this term, though. She smiled when Alec went on to praise her game choices. "You think? I mean...yeah. They are quite fun." And her dad seemed to like those ones best.
"Tag seems awesome...Did you know he devoured an entire chocolate dragon like...SO fast? It was pretty epic." And Ells had been impressed. Eating habits like that earned people serious cool points in Ella's eyes. ...O__O Coming back to Hogwarts? Messer had to come back, didn't he? How could they be SuperPinkyHulkAsaurus without PINKY? They simply couldn't! The third year looked at her friend, clearly concerned. "He has to come back, right? I mean...we need Messy around." Who would Ells practice Defensive spells with if he wasn't around? Frown! "I'm sure he was just a bit...busy or something." Right. No need to be alarmed...yet. The thirteen year old cracked a wide smile when Alec made quite a funny comment about Dino. "He's the Dino and I'm the Saur...Alec that's just...brilliant." And she giggled, thinking it over again in her mind. "You're quite funny, you know." Just saying.
Talk about Casper was making Ella a bit frowny again. Mostly cause he had said some not so nice things during their chat. Ella leaned forward slightly as well, looking at Alec thoughtfully. "No...I don't think he's at all like Theodore. He seemed kind of...mean, actually." Frown. Ella hated talking negatively about people but she wasn't going to lie. "He said wizards are...freaks." And the blonde's green eyes widened a bit as she said it, wincing at the word 'freaks.' That was just a really mean thing for him to say. WAIT WHAT?! "You...um you actually...hugged him?" Ella bit her lip to try and stop the laughter from escaping but she just couldn't hold it in. Alec...had hugged CASPER. Bahahaha! That was actually pretty hilarious! She couldn't stop giggling and sat back in her seat, clutching her stomach, trying not to send gummy worms flying all over the place.
"Ari, Silvia, Nice to meet you both!" She tucked her hair behind her ear. "Yeah, my name is quite weird. You can just call me Awar or Lesta or Ah." She said, laughing. One of the girls looked older than the other. Maybe she was one of the older students. "Hope you don't mind me asking, but what year are you guys in?"
Lesta. That's what Ari would be calling her, she liked it the best out of all the nicknames Awarlesta had given.
"I'll be starting my first year! I'm really excited!" Ari wasn't sure how many times she had spoken those exact words but it had been a lot, that much she was sure of!

EXACTLY!!! Everyone knew that when your pet was in trouble you were supposed to be willing to jump out and save them. What they had done wasn't stupid, it was the smart thing to do. See this was why she liked talking to kids her own age, the always understood much better. "Yeah just like we did. We chased after them but then one of the older girl's said we should have waited for someone older to do something about it. As if." She said with a roll of her eyes. It just annoyed her that she had been trying to be a hero and all she had to show for it was some cussing.
"Yeah I know that...but it's not like I could actually say it to her. She had a pretty scary look on her face and her words were pretty harsh too." If she admitted to nothing else she had to admit that the girl scared her...just a little... She swallowed hard when the girl said it all depended on just how bad she had been. She knew for sure, by the reactions her and her friends had gotten, that what they had done might have been pretty bad. Now she was even more grateful that they hadn't been busted by a Professor; the thought of spending the train ride then half the opening ceremony being lectured didn't appeal to her very much. "Have you ever gotten into trouble before? Do you know what happens if you do?" Maybe this girl could give her some idea of what she could have run into it.
She shrugged. "I don't really care whether they're here or not really. I don't see what kind of difference it makes." It was true. She would have done nothing different even if they were standing right beside her. She wasn't one for pretending. What you saw was what you got and she made no apologies for that.

Hm.
Aspen simply stared at the Prefect and her "innocent" question - like those kinds of looks that bore physical holes into walls from intensity. "Where there's a will, there's a way, Prefect Hollingberry." So if one was WILLING to properly KEEP an eye on someone... then... you bet there was a way.
She would have proceeded, but Elijah was invading personal space and thinking himself much more personable than he was. It was surprising to Aspen that he KNEW her name now, and even more so that he was decidedly and suddenly chummy with the touching.
"You aren't sure of anything, and least of all my secrets," just facts, always just the facts from Aspen. She let his arm and patting stay, but...
...more or less tried to pluck his eye from the socket with her fingers. "Where there's a will, there's a way," she repeated with a grin.
Taylor nodded and laughed, "Yeah, probably..." She sighed. Tay looked out of the compartment and saw her brother looking down. Taylor quickly stood up and rushed over to the door of the compartment. "Maxwell! What is wrong?" Worry filled her face as she looked at her brother.
Maxwell forced a smile. "Well, i'm sure you won't be too sad to know that Ariana and i broke up...I broke it off cause i know she still has feelings for just and i won't be the replacement.."

Taylor engulfed him in a hug, "That is sad but you did the right thing." She looked at him, "Do I have to be nice to her still?" Tay frowned.

Maxwell hugged her back and laughed a little. "Yes, she's still my friend...or i hope she is..just be nice.." He said laughing again and trying to focus on the positive. "But i think i'm okay...I didn't expect us to last to long anyway...on the bright side, you can set me up again." He said half jokingly. "But i think i might wanna wait like a week or two...although i'm sure she'll be back with Justin when we pull into the station.." He said recalling how well Ariana had taken their breakup.

Tay grumbled and frowned, "Why? She is evil and a brat to me! Why do I have to?" She crossed her arms and pouted, "I didnt even do anything to her until she started being a demon to me! I dont even know why she hates my guts." Taylor sighed, "I dont wanna be nice to her!" Her mood instantly brighten at his second thing. Tay giggled, "Wait you are going to give me permission to set you up?" Her eyes twinkled in delight as the options flickered through her mind. "Yeah, a week or two at least..."

Maxwell sighed. "How about if she stays nice you will and if not you can be as mean as you like?" He asked hoping that would satisfy her. He nodded and chuckled as her mood lightened. "Yes, you have permission to set me up..my only rule is no Snakes and i prefer blue eyes." He said knowing it was rather specific. "A week or two sounds good to me."

Awar gasped, "It's my first year too!!" She jumped up and down. Finally, someone her year. "I'm very, very excited too! My brother has told me lots of Hogwarts and I'm very happy to finally be here!"

"I' going into my third year," Silvia said. She was relieved when the new girl had said they could call her by a nickname, seeing as Silvia wasn't sure if she would be able to remember her full name.
"Sometimes classes can be a little boring, but usually they're rather enjoyable. A lot of the professors plan games occasionally, to help us practice new spells. We played Capture the Flag in Charms my first year," she said, remembering how exciting her very first lesson at Hogwarts had been, "and last year we had a boat race on the Lake in Transfiguration. The History of Magic professor sometimes takes us on field trips to really cool places. And we even raised a dragon in Care of Magical Creatures last term." That was what had really hooked her interest in Magical Creatures, a class that Silvia had felt relatively indifferent about her first year. There was always something exciting going on at Hogwarts. "Is there a class in particular that you're interested in?"

She entered a compartment quickly when she saw a heard of first years running for the trolly. Seeing the compartment wasn't empty she was about to introduce herself, when she recognized him as the boy she met on the Western Concourse.
"Hello, DJ, what a coincidence that we are to run into each other again." After finishing her sentence her blue cat squirmed out of her arms and sat on the boy. "Oh sorry about that, well at least you know she likes you!
" She glanced around the compartment before asking "Do you mind if I sit with you, it seems you are sitting alone and I think it will be rather hard to retrieve Sky from you for now."

*melllow*
He was glaring at her now. This made the giggling stop, and instead Ness began to frown at him. She hadn't meant to make him mad, in fact the whole purpose of this thing was to give him a reason to laugh.
"Im..I'm sorry." she said biting her lip. She felt bad.
Logan really wasn't happy now, especially with all the giggling. Frowning and apologizing didn't help either. She had ruined his nap and then laughed at him.
Though seeing that she felt bad made him forgive her some. "It's okay."

Pout.
Yes. Logan had said it was okay, but did he really mean it? Possibly not. She knew it was likely he was just saying it not to make her feel bad. It didn't help though she still felt guilty, very guilty. She knew she wouldn't have liked it if someone had done the same to her.
Renesmee bit her lip once more, this time she looked at Logan's lip as she did so. It was only now she realised how nicely shaped they were. They'd surely be something to kiss, but Ness stopped herself from thinking further. Logan seemed upset with her and she didn't like that one bit.
"I..I thought it would be funny." She really did. "If you want I'll get you a chocolate to make up for it?" She still felt bad.
