For this late evening lesson Mrs Burbage own tower patch has been widened and extended to work as an outdoor classroom by the help of the daaarling headmistress Annie. Over the plants, neat rows of desks and chairs have been scattered out two and two together. Up front Mrs Burbage dressed in warm robes under a long red outer coat and a rainbow colored scarf around her neck is sitting on the edge of her desk waiting for her students to arrive.

Bundled up with her Gryffindor scarf wrapped tightly around her neck, Kurumi made her way to the Tower Patch that she had only ever taken a quick glance at this term. She was still a little...grumpy over certain things. Certain things that had taken one of the subjects she rather fancied and put it on the same low level as one she didn't. But, with NEWTs coming up there was no way Kurumi would miss a lesson and perhaps something that could be covered on the exam.
"Good evening, professor," Kurumi said with a small nod of the head before she shuffled her feet towards a desk and sat down.

This couldn't be happening. All the other Astronomy classes were held during the day. WHY did the woman have to go ruin it now?? This was the time of the day where her brain stopped processing anything related to education on a whole--her brain went on strike as it pleased.
If that wasn't bad enough, it was so high up but she no longer had any other reason to be up this high so naturally she wouldn't be coming from her common room and naturally it would be extra far.
It was a good thing she actually liked this subject.
"Good evening Professor." She said, forcing on a smile. Throughout the term the woman had been nothing but nice so it was the least she could do even if she wasn't very amused by the hour of the class. "How are you?" Not many Professors got asked that question. Nope.
Looking at the classroom she noticed the double seating thing and nearly scowled. If she'd learnt one thing at this school it was that working in pairs sucked. With a heavy sigh she took a seat and waited for everyone else to start trickling in.

Minerva walked into class. Yawning a bit from the long day. Making her way into the class she looked around. Not many students were there yet, actually just two, Kurumi and Alexa.
"Good Evening Professor" She said nicely as she passed by before heading to find a place to sit. Looking at the other two she smiled, "Hello Kurumi, Hello Alexa" Then she sound a seat and started pulling her things out to get ready for the lesson.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

Astronomy. Daichi liked this subject but he sometimes wished that it wasn't teached so late in the evening. He did get it of course, or else they wouldn't see the stars but at this moment he was really tired.
All the studying and staying up late at the Great Hall was making him tired and all he wanted to do right now was snuggle in his sleeping bag and sleep. But. Class came first it seemed. He did not pay attention to his surroundings ones he was at the classroom but instead focused on the Professor first.
Rubbing his really tired looking eyes, the Slytherin was about to say a hello to the woman but his mouth opened to let a long and loud yawn escape. He quickly covered his mouth with his hand and looked to the other side. When he was done yawning he smiled at the Professor. "Sorry about Professor, i'm just..." he sighed while rubbing his eye again.
He shuffled back until he found Kurumi sitting at one of the desks. Thinking for a second, the Slytherin decided to sit next to her. Placing his bag next to the desk, Daichi sat on the chair and waved his hand lazily. "Hey Kurumi~" he smiled before he placed his head on the desk.

Gideon was pleased with the news of another astronomy lesson, the last having been cut short unfortunately. However there was also the sad fact that this was one of the lessons that showed his time at Hogwarts was drawing to a close. The prefect pushed the thought aside, hoping for an enjoyable class to keep his mind on hs favorite subject at hand.
He followed the directions and headed out to the tower garden patch instead of the usual classroom, a scarf added to his wardrobe to cut the cold in this late evening. "Good evening, Professor," he greeted the woman with a polite smile. Offering another to his friend already ther, Gideon moved further into the expanded area and gingerly took a seat at ne of the desks.

A short nap before class began...
Parchment and quills all set out on the desk, Kurumi glanced up when she felt someone slide into the desk beside her. "Daichi, hey," she chirped, glad that she would be spending one last lesson sitting next to her pseudo little brother.
Only he looked as though he were about to pass out.
"Uuuuuum....Daichi?" she asked, poking him gently in the side with her index finger. "You, um, you really shouldn't sleep here..." Poor guy was probably not getting enough sleep from those sleeping bags in the Great Hall. Kurumi knew she wasn't sleeping as well.
Her last year at Hogwarts and she was spending at least half of it locked out of her common room...brilliant.
"You want me to poke you or something every time you are about to fall asleep?" Or cast Aguamenti in his face?

Ohhh, this should be pretty interesting. Alex walked in to the expanded classroom and smiled. He really did love Astronomy. It was so interesting and always amazed him whenever he got to look at the stars. He also liked wondering if there were aliens up there or not. Yeah. Aliens.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Jory was half asleep as he headed for the Astronomy lesson. Yawning, he entered the room. "Good evening, Professor,'' he said, stifling another yawn. Man he wanted to sleep really bad.
He waved to the other students who were already there, noting that Daichi was sneaking a nap before the class started. Maybe the Puff could do that also? Hopefully, the lesson would be extra interesting today and he would be able to snap out of this sleepiness.

Well now, Astronomy evening classes, last time he's had something like this Roslund was there and he had an awesome time. Would the tonight promise to be the same? One could only hope right?
His gaze caught the Astronomy Professor and he nodded his head at her respectfully "Good evening Professor Burbage." He glanced around this outdoor garden up at the highest point of the school. Brilliant location for stargazing innit?
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

"It's lovely to see you again Miss Hollingberry." Marion greeted the Gryffindor prefect who looked suitably dressed for a night outside with her bundled lion scarf around her neck.

-----------
Looking at her watch she stood up straight. It was time to start. "Good evening all and welcome to the schools only tower patch where we shall have our last astronomy lesson of the year. Isn't the brisk march air just lovely?" Marion asked rhetorically.
"Now then can anyone guess what we shall be doing tonight? I can give you a hint we aren't stargazing but we are going to watch something spectacular and rare that can be seen in Scotland and in the Nordic countries this time of year."
Sarah had thrown a coat over as she had headed up stairs to the tower patch. "Good Evening professor" she said and she took a seat. She subconciously flicked her scraf that was around her neck over her shoulder. It was a Gryffindor of course. Meanwhile she threw her head back and examined the sky. Very interesting it was indeed.

No star gazing.
Normally that would be cause for dismay for the astronomy buff, but as the professor continued officially starting class, her words offered so home that at least what they would be dealing with would be interesting to him. He thought for a moment on what they could be looking for, the clues of Scotland and the Nordic countries limiting the ideas a little. Finally he raised his hand to answer.
" Are we going to be looking at the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights? "
Selina hated when Professors did that. When they asked what they were going to be learning. Wasn't that THEIR job to tell the students what they would be learning that day? Maybe Selina was just hungry, she had missed second breakfast that morning and her mood was really dependent on the amount of food she consumed in the morning. It was just sort of one of those things. Yeah. So note to self: ALWAYS carry a snack.
But she did not know the answer to the sweet older woman's question. Instead, she just kept her mouth shut instead of running the risk of being wrong. There was no need to embarrass herself, this class was NOT her strongest suit.

Sarah's hand shot up. "The northern lights" she said. "I think they are beautiful - it is caused by the collision of energetic charged particles in the high altiitude hemisphere" Sarah said.
Sophie had noooo idea what professor Burbage was talking about. She didn't know much about Astronomy, though she had enjoyed stargazing during her first year. That had been tons of fun!
They weren't stargazing that day, though. Which was weird, since they had the classroom rearranged in this really weird... form. Maybe they'd be seeing like... a meteor shower! Or... a particular... something. You know, those things that happened every X million years and whatnot.
Sophie gave no answer. She was curious enough to just watch the outside, not feeling like guessing anything at the moment.

As Bliss sat twiddling her thumbs at her desk near the back of the room, it suddenly dawned on her that this was the last Astronomy lesson of the year. Huh. She wasn't sure how she hadn't noticed that before. Oh wellllllllll. This lesson was starting properly now, so Bliss turned her attention fully to Professor Burbage and listen to her and what they'd be doing that lesson.
No star-gazing. Awww. Bliss liked star gazing a lot!
OH OH OH. Bliss' hand flew up in the air. She knew this. "Are we going to be looking at the Northern Lights?" She asked and beamed at the Professor. She was pretty sure that this was right. After all, she loved Astronomy, Astrology and that sort of thing and her parents had told her plenty about it too. Please be right, she whisper!hoped.

OOOOOH the Northern Lights! That had to be what she was talking about...it had another name too, right? It was something fancy like....Aurora Snorealias or something like that. He wasn't about to try and pronounce that one though and make a fool of himself sooooo...
He raised his hand. "That would be the Northern Lights, professor," he said with a grin. This was so exciting!

So Pao didn't know much about Astronomy. But that's why he was here, trying to learn more about it. Except it was hard because he never knew any of the answers--especially when it dealt with things more specific to the north. Because his native Italy was definitely not in the north. Oh well. It can't hurt to guess, right? At least... he didn't think it could.
He knew what he hoped it would be, though! His hand raised, he asked, "Ooo! Is it some sort of meteor shower? I'd love to see that!" He loved seeing shooting stars. Plus you could wish on them, and who didn't like a good wish?

Minerva listened as class started and the professor talked about what they might be doing this evening. Well star gazing would be fine by her, but if it's something that they have to see only during this time of year she wasn't sure. Thinking about it and then thinking about the other classes she put her hand up.
"Professor, since we have talked about constellations in previous classes will be observing the constellations that are more present in the month of March and their alignments?" That wasn't really star gazing if they were actually looking for something and since some constellations were only shown during certain parts of the year it made sense to her.
Laura looked at the Professor and smiled. "We'll be making some sort of start chart?" Well she hoped they would that would be an awesome lesson and it wouldn't be boring at all.

"Oh I'm fine too!" GRIN. This was the last Astronomy class, there was no need to ruin it by whining. Nope. Despite the late hours she would try making the best of this and if not...well...the back was always a very comfy place to sleep, yes?

She gave a wave and a smile to Minnie when she greeted her before turning back to the lesson.
It wasn't that the Professor was a boring woman because really she wasn't but as Alexa had kindly told the Headmistress a few months back, this was the time of day when she liked to unwind and relax. That entailed: eating chocolate frogs in her common room, playing with Felix or sleeping NOT sitting in a classroom trying to learn. She wasn't nodding off just yet but there was no telling how the rest of the lesson would go.
She listened to the response of others and found herself waking up just a bit more. "So then...we're gonna be watching colours in the sky? 'Cause I mean, I like Pao's answer better."
She would much rather watch things fall from the sky than sit and watch colours; that would put her to sleep for sure!

Oh, it was time to start! Awesome! Alec sat up a little straighter, a big grin spreading across his face. Although... it was a bit cold. And he didn't really like that. It did weird things to his hair.
But... at least it was getting warmer. Which meant that summer was coming up! GRIN.
So... they weren't stargazing. Shame, really. Stargazing was pretty fun. And that meant that him and Pao, who he was sitting next to, could bond. You know, boy to boy. At this thought, Alec smiled and ruffled the young boy's hair. The boy's enthusiasm was one to be admired, actually.
But the Professor had asked a question and so... Alec sat there as his mind whirred into action. They were up North so... there was something to do with those funny lights in the sky, right? "Erm... Professor?" he asked as he slowly raised his hand, "Is it the Northern Lights?" It... had to be. Right? Because... they were up North and yeah.
WAIT. Were they going to be seeing these lights? "Wicked!"

Yes, she did have to agree that the air was pretty lovely. She prefered nice warm air, but still it was nice. Hannah hated guessing what they were going to do. Couldn't she just tell them so they could get on with their lives? Although she did agree with everybody that said Northern lights. "Professor, I too think that we will be looking at the Northern lights." There really weren't many options to choose from in the first place. Star gazing would be pretty cool, but she had already made it clear that, that wasn't it.

As soon as he was done giving his guess, he felt a hand on his head. Whaa--? Oh! It was just Alec, that really-super-cool-older-Puff-Seeker-dude who had sat down next to him! Alec was ruffling Pao's hair, just like he did to his own! GRIN. Cuz that meant Pao was also a bit cooler now, right?
And then he just whipped out that answer. Wow. That's a WAY better answer than I gave. His cheeks reddened slightly, but it was darkish so hopefully no one saw. "Good answer!" he whispered, giving the really-super-cool-older-Puff-Seeker-dude a thumbs up.
