Don't. Touch. Anything.

Kurumi turned a corner and walked RIGHT into a massive spider web. "KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" she shrieked as she began to try and pull it off her, throwing her hood over her head in the process and masking her in darkness all while her little ball of light was floating along side her.

Maybe choosing to go left wasn't such a bad idea, he hadn't run into anything to dangerous since the loud screeching left him feeling slightly fuzzy and dazed.

He came across another two paths and without thinking took the right turn this time. He walked about five paces forward and his shoulder grazed the side of the maze. A strange mist shot out at his face and Oakey began to cough loudly, did this maze have deadly plants in it too? Perfect, he may have just been poisoned! No, Hadley wouldn't put her students into that kind of danger, but then what was the mist? Was it just to throw him off scare him some. Oakey rubbed his eyes to help clear his vision when suddenly he heard a loud scream come from behind him.

He jumped around quickly wand fully drawn at...at...at...MERLIN'S FRESHLY SHAVED FACE! A DEMENTOR, Hadley had gone crazy! LOOK AT IT! It was going to kiss him for sure! Oakey took a few steps back and grazed his shoulder against the maze again letting the the strange mist hit him in the face once more! He needed to keep the Dementor from getting near him, the mist wasn't helping his eyes any but he needed to clear his thoughts and think of something, ANYTHING that makes him happy...

...Sophie Campbell!, she made him more than happy.

He clutched his wand tightly and yelled "Expecto Patronum!" A blinding white and blue light shot from his wand and slowly formed into a rather large animal with huge antlers!
Was that a stag! just like the famous Harry Potter's? No it was much larger and the antlers stuck out. My Patronus Is a Moose, he thought as he fell to the ground on landing on his butt.

He watched his patronus advance on the dementor but the evil being wasn't retreating! HAD HE DONE IT WRONG! JUST HIS LUCK.

Kurumi was making all sorts of muffled noises and grunts while she was flailing around under her cloak and covered in a thick stick spider web. The ball of light continued to follow her as she moved about - closer to Oakey but she wasn't aware of this - and she felt her feet step on something that sunk a little into the ground. Oh, that couldn't be a good sign.

Stumbling a bit more, Kurumi didn't find that her felt any different...so maybe that had been nothing?

Finally pulling some of the web away from her face, Kurumi was just barely able to make out the figure of someone. "Oakay?" she asked WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN HE WAS SHOOTING HIS PATRONUS AT HER! Kurumi flailed some more and was sort of knocked to the side by the giant moose that came shooting out of the Hufflepuff's wand, but Kurumi found that she didn't fall over...when she SHOULD have. Something was weird with her legs.

BUT FIRST! WHY did Oakey just shoot his patronus at her?!

Marching towards him, Kurumi suddenly began to flail to keep her balance when her feet - more specifically her shoes - began to move on their own accord and lifted her into the air slightly where she began to do some sort of odd river dance inspired movement while flailing. All the while she was moving closer to Oakey and looking utterly ridiculous floating about two feet in the air as if her shoes had grown wings.

Forget the patronus, WHAT had she just stepped on?

PhoenixRising 11-29-2012 06:32 AM

Suddenly, without warning a vine snaked along the ground of the former Arithmancy classroom and wrapped around a students ankle, forcing the student down. It slid back into place a moment later...

.... while another student came face-to-face with giant acromantula...

It wasn't going away! Damnit! But that looked like a perfect Patronus.
"W-what are you!" Oakey yelled at the Dementor that was immune to the Patronus Charm! He tried to scramble to his feet and run from the creature his legs had given out on him!

Then he heard it call out to him! "H-How do you know my name! WHY CAN YOU SPEAK!" this wasn't a dementor! IT WAS A SUPER DEMENTOR!

His face turned pale as the Dementor slowly rose above him and looked as if it was doing some kind of pre-kissing ritual. "I SAID GET BACK!
Oakey whipped his wand back around in front of him once more and started shouting curses, hexes, and jinxes! As many as he could at the Dementor, until he ran out of breathe.

How could Hadley have thought of something so evil, so sinister, and put it in this maze! Of course Oakey would be the one to run into it too!
"G-go AWAY!" He started shouting/half crying at the Super Dementor! "PROFESSOR! I GIVE FAIL ME!" He huddled up into a ball, this was it! He was gonna get kissed.

If they break apart, then your separation is correct. If they don't, then you've got the wrong part you're trying to separate."

"Let's see how well you all did with your separation..." Fina tapped her wand at the numbers that hovered above the bracelet in the places where many students guessed the groupings would be. And the numbers broke apart....

"Before I let you complete your final, there's one other thing I should tell you. About the clines. There are seven classifications of clines, but only two that you'll need to worry about unless you decide to pursue cursebreaking studies beyond Hogwarts. One and Nine;" She flicked her wand at the board as words appeared:

"The number before the last digit in the cline is indicative of several factors; who the spell targets, as well as the complexity of the curse." Hadley explained. "So your final is simple. In a moment, the classroom will transform itself into a maze. There will be a series of obstacles from perhaps a random creature to moments of darkness to even possibly a tripping jinx to delay you. You're to persevere until you get to the end when you'll be confronted with the cursed bracelet, in which you'll have to successfully cast Arithmos Revelio and then break the curse on the object. If you break the curse, then you will be able to touch the bracelet without it burning you and you may leave after. Good luck."

With that, she flicked her wand and the Arithmancy classroom was changed into a maze, with tall shrubberies separating each student...

ooc: No i don't expect you to perfectly break the curse at the end of the maze. I do expect you have to fun interacting with each other, as you try to make it through. Feel free to interpret "interceptions" and "delays" as you wish; be imaginative. If it's something other than a jinx or creature you want as an obstacle, go for it. Be creative. I'd recommend a minimum of 6 or 7 posts. You can earn up to 30 points for your RP-ing efforts (not counting the points from before this post). But don't delay, as this final WILL be ending on Saturday Night, December 1st by 10pm EST.

So she was onto a good start that was good. She heard the response Professor Hadley gave to that boy and wrote that down onto her parchment.Hearing what the professor had to say about the clines she quickly jotted that down too..Their final will be a maze...Sounded simple.. Good luck...Wait...

She jumped up wand in hand. Her surroundings changed...And suddenly she was all alone...No more fun and games...She took a deep breath before entering the frightening looking maze... She went straight holding her wand at the ready...Waiting for anything...She reached a fork...Which way right or left? Right...Dead end...Left, apparently... As she started to walk left she heard strange noises...She fastened her pace...Suddenly she heard a scream...Sounded like a girl. She turned around to where it came from turning her back to the maze/vines/hedge things. Suddenly vines wrapped around one of her ankles, pulling her down. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

As Professor Hadley had started moving around theroom, correcting people or telling them they'd gotten it all correct, Kendall had prepared herself to be told that she'd failed. She'd pretty much figured she was wrong anyway, and just sort of shrugged as the professor had looked at her parchment and verified it. "I sorta forgot, I guess," she replied. "But are my explanations okay?" That part hadn't really gotten a yes or no yet, so she was curious. Either way, she decided it probably wasn't wrong, so she'd only crosed off the number part of the last two sections and rewrote them underneath the originals, leaving the descriptions as they were. Especially as the professor had gone off to others, and then given more explanations about clines and saying what the correct separations were after all. She wrote the new informations down under the rest of her notes, even as she'd prepared to ask about the other five classifications. Just out of curiosity, and she imagined Professor Hadley knew them.

SPOILER!!: parchment
Curse-breaking
SpeRevelio= identifies if an object is cursed
Arithmos Revelio= identifies what curse is on the object using numbers (ick)

Curse parts (with Arithmos Revelio):
  • Basis: what the spell affects
  • Kernel/Core: what the spell does
  • Range: how the spell is activated
  • Cline/Type: what kind of spell it is

Possible curse used: Flagrante curse
Possible numbers with Professor Hadley’s cursed bracelet:
0= decay
1= beginning, independence, leadership (?)
5= change, physical world/touch
9= immediate, short-lived, metamorphosis

Numbers: 110595959

Basis: 11 (The curse affects the person who puts the bracelet on first, in this case Professor Hadley, who is a head of house and therefore kinda a leader)
Kernel/Core: 059 (The spell creates burns/decay of the skin immediately upon the first physical touch, spec ifically putting the bracelet on)
Range: 595 (The change is immediate and physical, plus short-lived because she takes the bracelet off and it stops)
Cline: 9 (the skin undergoes a metamorphosis ‘cause it’s all red and burned immediately)

Range: 59
Cline: 59

Clines: seven classifications total , number before the last digit explains how complicated the curse is, who it targets, that kind of stuff
Classifications of Clines: (some of them)
1 - Spells which are by nature identifying spells. Spells which identify the nature of an object, its individual components, or what an object or magical effect are.
Ex: sperevelio, arithmos revelio
9 - Spells which are powerful, immediate, and unstable. Spells which react instantly and do not have permanent or long-lasting effects.
Ex: impedimenta, blasting charms

Except before she could ask, the classroom had disappeared. Hedges growing on either side of her and she rolled both her notes and her butterfly sketch up as her desk even disappeared, catching her wand in her other hand before it fell to the ground. She narrowed her eyes as she realized her bag was gone too, though. Professor Hadley better give back my stuff once this is over, she thought, huffing a little even as she stood in place. At least her chocolate, because for all she knew, she was going to need it. And she swung her head to the left as she heard screaming. Okay, not going that way, she thought, shoving the rolled up parchments into her pocket as she quietly lit her wand before veering off to the right.

Only to screech a little herself as she practically ran into a giant furry leg, at which point she scrambled backward and halfway up the hedge. Clinging there, she carefully let go with her wand hand and strengthened her Lumos just enough to make out the big shiny eyes of an acromantula. "This is not fair," she mumbled, wondering if she could ninja her way along the wall and past the creature without it knowing. Except for the little detail of it having heard her screech, and then seen her wandlight. "Uh oh," she added, mentally thinking of every Gaelic curse that she'd ever heard anyone in her family say when they were angry. They really weren't going to like it if she got eaten, and she'd definitely miss Patrick. And Accio, and Pooka. And she'd never get to meet her brother and Isabel's new baby, at which point her resolve came back.

I'm the Ninja Butterfly. I can't run away screaming. Superheroes don't do that, she told herself silently, creeping back down to the ground. She wasn't going to be able to sneak over the acromantula, so she'd have to face it head-on. So she'd need a spell, and she wracked her brain for anything that might work. "Impedimenta!," she cast first, trying to knock it aside. That didn't really work, of course. It had been worth a try. "Stupefy! Arania Exumai!," she continued, aiming for the eyes and then somehow managing to dart her way past as it finally cringed away slightly. Enough that she was able to get behind it, and then she just took off running. Continuing to turn to the right as she hit corners. She wanted to get as much distance between herself and the acromantula as she could.

Next you look at the meanings of numbers along with the meanings of each groupings and attempt to interpret what they mean for how the curse is activated."

Laura looked at her work, she hoped that it was right but she would have to wait and see now, all she had to do was the next part which seemed to be the hardest part.

Laura was walking around the maze, wondering what she was going to have to do or face, she wanted to be one of those to finish, so that the Professor could see that she was actually getting better at the subject, she still wasn't happy with the way her Head of House had looked at her when she had done her work, was the Professor really that shocked she knew what she was doing, well anyway she wanted to get rid of this naughtest girl in the school tag or whatever the Professors called her.

Oh Merlin...oooooooooooooh Merlin....

Kurumi tried to steady herself enough so she could point her wand properly at her feet and remove whatever spell was in effect, but the sticky spider web and her robes were making this difficult. Not to mention she was levitating in the air and...

Oh this just got better. Oakey had touched something and been cursed too. "Oakey, it's me," she said, flailing some more and making some of the spider web fly off her robes and in every which direction while Oakey began throwing spells at her as well.

o____________________O

"Protego!" Kurumi squeaked, somehow managing to avoid the first few spells, but then one hit her square in the face and cause her two front teeth to grow to the point where she looked like a human hamster. Another hit her robes, turning her Gryffindor crimson to a bright purple - for whatever reason. "Oamph! Suuphm!" Which clearly meant Oakay, Stop it! But the spells just kept coming.

Casting another Protego, Kurumi managed to shrink her teeth back down so she could speak and then THRUST her wand at Oakey. "Silencio!" Oh, hey, she had fit her silencing a Hufflepuff quota at last. She would remove it, of course, once she removed whatever insanity enchantment Oakey had fallen under.

Fasting Finite on her own feet, Kurumi fell with a thud to the ground and her hood finally fell from her head now that the spider web was gone. "Oooooooooooooooow...."

Rolling onto her side, Kurumi sort of crawled her way over to Oakey - who was now curled up in a ball - and poked him in the side with her wand. Was he SANE now? Sure, he was under the influence of her spell....but was he sane?!

"Oakey, it's Kurumi....you shot your patronus at me and then started sending all sorts of spells my way...if you are alright hold up both your hands and I'll remove the spell." Because she was sooooooooo not going to deal with him throwing his hodgepodge assortment of spells at her again. Her robes were still purple for Merlin's sake and....just now realizing it....her ears had been switched with donkey ones.

So they were doing a maze, this was an interesting final, but at the same time kind of scary. Minerva got up and pulled out her wand. Well after the term that had gone on, it was good to know about some of this stuff. Moving into the maze Minerva right away lit her wand and looked around. Turning to her right she decided to go that way. Hearing screams and spells around the maze made her jumpy.

This was definitely different. As she was about to come to a corner and needed decide whether to go back or turn she felt something touch her. NO... NO....NO.. This was not happening again, not here.. Not now during their final. Looking down her worse fear was seen. THAT PLANT well what she thought was that plant was wrapped around her again. Before she could even get out a yelp she was on the ground. "No.. get off me, please.. don't take me.." Pulling and tugging at it, Minerva was about to slice it off her leg when it unwrapped and moved back into the bushes. She sat there frozen, tears feeling as if they might burst out and breathing hard in shock. Finally making it up to her feet again she looked around, feeling as if she had enough and she had just started.

Jory continued walking along the path, his wand held out in front of him and his eyes darting form side to side. He couldn't help but feel a bit nervous as he heard some of the students scream. What if he encountered a creature that he got him before he got it?

The Puff was so busy concentrating on looking around him, he didn't notice a huge dark cloud hovering over his head. That is, until the cloud burst and torrents of water came flashing down onto him. "What...'' was all he had time to utter before the force of the water caused him to hit the ground. Hard. "Ouch!'' he exclaimed, he had banged his right elbow on the ground. Water continued to pour down and he could do noting as his wand flew out of his hand.

Trying to concentrate on pulling himself up, Jory ignored the pain in his elbow and began inching away from the water which was still pouring down. Finally, he managed to make it out and he stood up. "Whoa...'' The ground was wet and slippery causing him to almost loose his balance. He scrambled around looking for his wand. After locating it, he quickly dried himself off, cast one last annoyed glance at the cloud and thee water then continued on his way.

Post 2 (bouncing off Jory..)

Once Minerva finally found her breath and settled her heart from the vine she looked around. Now where did she need to go. She was reminded of corn mazes back home and shuddered. Remembering being lost in a corn maze and freaking out that she would never find her way out, Minerva looked around this maze. Wow that corn maze didn't seem so scary anymore at least there was nothing magical in that.

As she continued down the walk way she saw something at the end of the maze, something moving. She froze for a second, but didn't want to take a chance "Protego" she pointed her wand and put up a shield in case it was going to attack her. As Minerva watched and walked she didn't notice how wet the area was and slipped falling to the ground.. "Ewww yuck" Looking at how muddy she was she got to her feet. This was not fun, not fun at all. Looking back up she noticed the figure had gone, maybe it was just another students. Minerva pointed her wand at herself to clean up and then pointed it to the ground drying the ground so no one else would fall. She then heard a noise and looked up a cloud looked like it was going to burst so she took off running away from that area.

So he kinda messed up with the groupings, which is no surprise as he feels he's taking a shot in the dark here. he did seem to nail the last portions though so, maybe that was good? Eh whatever moving on...

He copied his notes down and was trying to understand what the Number Guru just said when she mentioned that they had to go about a maze trying to be junior curse-breakers. Eyes grew large as he obviously have not gotten a handle of the theories yet and feeling quite ill-prepared to do the practical part of this. But before he knew it, there were hedges growing all around him, separating him from most of the class and was now stuck in a maze.

Oh boy.....

He brought out his wand and found himself gripping it harder than usual, inching is way along and straining his half deaf ears for anything that can clue him in with whats around the corner....

Laura took her wand out and sighed this was going to be really hard to do, she was a bit scared of what she would come up against but at least it couldn't be very bad like her having to duel her EX Oakey, though if she ever had to do that it would be fun because she would go all Ninja like on him and beat him, she could sooo easily do that, but she didn't want to because she would lose points so for now she had to wait and see what would come her way whilst she went around the maze, hoping she could get to the end of the maze.

He was doomed, and the Super Dementor knew Magic, things just kept getting worse

He could feel the Super Dementor's kiss now as his leaned in to kiss him. It didn't kiss though instead it claimed itself to be Kurumi! He spoke up to protest, call the creature on it's bluff, but his voice was gone!

With his voice gone things suddenly became clear, it was Kurumi. Who else would silence him but the Gryffindor Prefect. He put both hands in the air and waved them.

Laura yawned, she couldn't believe how each this maze was, she had her wand out but she had this funny feeling she wouldn't be needing it, seriously she had expected better things from this maze, she walked even further into it, trying to find the end of it, she was in one way disappointed that there didn't seem to be anything worthy of her time to hex into the next century but in the other she was a bit sad, she turned a corner and.

O__________________o

Laura looked at the maze there was like a load of spiders, Laura looked at them and giggled, she wasn't scared of small spiders maybe if they were massive and breathed fire then she would be scared of them, she slowly made her way though the spinders and then walked around the next corner, she just hoped she would find something worth hexing soon.

He continued plodding along, slowly but surely. He couldn't go too fast because his wand only illuminated a small section in front of his feet. So he yelped in surprise when WHAM something hit him full-on from the side. "What on earth was THAT?!" he said in his high-pitched 11-year-old voice, which conveniently broke part way through.

He turned to look when WHAM he was hit in the back of the head. "Merlin, what's going on?" he demanded of the darkness. Shining his wand directly in front of his face, he had a moment's warning to halfway duck before a hedge branch grazed the top of his head. "Aaargh!"

Pao full-on ran away. After five paces, he came to an abrupt halt and blinked in the sudden brightness. "Yaaa!" Pao wrinkled up his features to block most of the light. "Nox.." he said, since his light was now wholly unnecessary.

Soon after another path intersected with his, but he kept on walking straight. What else was about to attack him...?

Post #1 and a bit of a response to the Professor...sort of.

The Professor's answer didn't give her very much hope. Technically if you already knew what the curse was then you wouldn't be doing guesswork at all. It would have just been solving a problem with knowledge you already had and pfffffft no way numbers were very reliable. All they did was give headaches.

This was why kids ended up whining.

Oh?

But the class was getting to be more fun! They'd get to go through a maze--she wasn't excited about solving the number BUT she was looking forward to the maze itself!!! This. Would. Be. Epic.

She watched in awe as the room did in fact transform. "Neat!" She ran ahead once everything stopped moving but just before she could make the turn she felt something big--something that WASN'T there before, knock against her foot and it sent her crashing towards the ground. Jumping up quickly, she pulled her wand out. "Alright, which 'o you just did that?" Huh? Huh?

Still in her headlong rush down the pathways of the maze, Kendall kept turning her head back to check and make sure that the acromantula wasn't coming after her. Now that she'd gotten past it, she couldn't help but think that she would've gone after anyone who had shot spells at her eyes. She was afraid to try and direct her wandlight behind her, but by now her eyesight had adjusted more to the dark, so she was fairly sure that the creature wasn't chasing after her. It was still awfully dark, but the acromantula had been giant. She didn't think she would have missed it again. Hopefully not, she thought, continuing to run even as she checked over her shoulder one last time.

Turning right again, she let out another screech blended with a string of practically unintelligible Gaelic as she suddenly slammed into something else right in front of her. Trying to turn her face forward again, she was met with a mass of branches and leaves and squeezed her eyes shut. She definitely didn't want to accidentally scratch her eyeballs up, like she was her arms as she struggled to extract herself. Apparently she'd found a dead end, unless she was supposed to climb over the hedge. She figured it was better to turn back and take another pathway, though. At least now she was fairly sure the acromantula hadn't followed her, and she carefully turned around and headed back to the last corner, turning to her right again. Since left would just take her back toward the acromantula, now that she was facing the opposite direction, and she started walking slower, wandlight held out in front of herself. She didn't want to end up slamming into anything else.

Kurumi breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Oakey respond to her voice, but was still slightly alarmed at the look in his eye she had seen before his hands had gone up. Just WHAT did he think was going on? What curse had he fallen under?

With another flick of her wand, Kurumi removed the Silencing Charm and then took a small step back. "So...a moose, huh?" she said, clearly with some pride in her voice. She hadn't seen his patronus before - or even known Oakey could perform one - so now that THAT was all over she felt a little more relaxed about him SHOOTING it at her.

Kurumi summoned her ball of light to move a little closer to her and then glanced at the area they were in. There were several paths leading in different directions with Merlin knew what on in the way. "Probably should keep moving..." And probably separately too, yeah?

She took a moment to looking around, hoping to see the idiot who thought it would have been a cool idea to trip her. Couldn't they see that she was walking here?! Merlin!

After a while of unsuccessful looking she decided to give up and head further into the maze. It would so help if the walls were shorter. At least then she'd be able to just take a peek then know where she was going but as things stood she was far too short and the wall was far too tall. She would have to do this the hard way.

Lex followed the path going when just up ahead she heard a girl casting a bunch of spells. She hurried on ahead but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the girl, face to face, with an acromantula. Of course she'd ever only seen them in books but from what she'd seen they weren't very good company. She watched from where she was, thinking she must obviously have been invisible and once she saw the girl make a run for it she did the same thing too.

What? No need to linger with a man eater. Nope. She had a maze to get to the end off.

Oakey's eyes were finally starting to clear up some, what ever it was that made him see Kurumi as a dementor was finally disappearing. He took a long look at Kurumi whom had long donkey ears and a purple robe. Oakey burst out laughing almost fogetting that he was a nervous wreck just moments ago. He stood up and brushed his knee's off of any dirt. "Moose." Oakey said repeating Kurumi as she sounded rather pleased with his casting a Patronus Charm. "I didn't think it would work." He had only read on it some in his Charms textbook, heck he was worried that Sophie wouldn't be a happy enough thought to produce a full on Animal shape. But it did, and Oakey decided that he would talk to Sophie the next time he saw her. He had some confessing to do. "it was pretty big." he said with a smile, "could possible be a giant one if I was lucky." which he wasn't.

"You want to seperate?" Oakey asked Kurumi puzzled at the idea. "Wouldn't it be smarter to just stick together." Before he could get a response from her though the maze wall beside him began to shake and an entirely new wall shot out of it cutting Oakey off from the Gryffindor.
He walked as close as he could to the new piece of maze and yelled out to Kurumi. "Guess we got separated anyways!"

No longer with her, Oakey's paths were cut in half to about four. Two to the left, one straight ahead, and another to the right a few paces forward.
He moved around the edge of the maze where he brushed up against it twice. He leaned in some squinting his eyes until he finally spotted it! Stepping back Oakey pointed his wand at the maze shrubbery wall "Incendio" Oakey cast the fire at a small hidden plant within the bushes. It caught fire instantly. "Diffindo" Oakey cut the plant from it's stem and stomped on it until the flames were put out. It must have been some kind of hallucinogenic plant that spraying whomever touched it, causing their sight to play tricks on them. It didn't help that Kurumi looked to much like a dementor when it happened to him.

Oakey decided his next move would be the second turn to the left, and on he went.

So... left, right, or straight here?

Pao wished he knew the general direction of the necklace. As it stood, he was making blind turns with no sense of purpose. Not only did it make him feel lost, but he also felt dumb. And if there was one thing a Mancini did not like, it was feeling outsmarted by shrubbery.

Left, right, left again. He peered around several corners before continuing along his chosen path. Then suddenly his feet were taken from under him. "Woah!" he yelled as he hit the floor. His eyes moved to his ankles as he spotted vines wrapped around his feet. "THE MAN-EATING PLANT THAT ATE PROFESSOR BURBAGE! HELP!!!!" Wait, no. That had a big bloom. These were just vines.

Taking aim at the base of the hedge where the tendrils originated, he shot a Freezing Charm at the flowery foe. "Gotcha!" he said in satisfaction when the plant was immobilized. He carefully unwrapped the rigid shoots and then stood, backing away as fast as he could. It was definitely time to get away from that particular hedge.

So far so good. The maze wasn't all that bad, it even had cool creatures in it and some neat tricks. Lex continued walking along the path until she came to a basic fork...which...way--MAN-EATING PLANT?!?!?

She could've sworn she heard Pao just a head screaming something about a plant and following pure instinct she ran towards the source of the shouting. "Pao...are you okay...?" Her eyes were glued to the floor as she tried to find the vicious plant that had eaten Burbage and Runes guy. No need to be the next victim...especially if it already had Pao.

But then...

He looked fine...and there was no plant attacking...just some piece of vine. Mmm. Yeah...he was fine...

Well, taking that left had been a bad idea. 'Cause she had almost instantly face-planted due to a well placed trip jinx. Hopefully, no one had heard her pathetic little whimper before she landed at the thought that the creeping man-eating plant had finally caught up to her. Although she was sure no one would blame her, since the stupid thing had everyone in the castle panicked. But a simple trip jinx she could deal with, yep. No trouble at all. Emmanuelle pulled herself up and took a moment to dust herself off. Ridiculous? Possibly, since she was sure she was going to end up just getting dirtier before she got to the end of the maze, but who cares? And anyway, she was just doing it as a way to collect her thoughts.

Thoughts collected, Em set off down the way she had been planning on going before her abrupt face-planting, lighting her wand while she was at it, since it was getting darker the further she went.

Minerva had walked forward and go to another crossroad. Which way to go... she looked left, should she go that way or right. Minerva just stood there not sure what to do. Finally she just started using the old faithful way of deciding. Pointing her finger she started the chant.. "Bubble Gum.. Bubble Gum in a dish..How many pieces do you wish.. 1..2.. 3.. 4...5.. your alive.." Finger pointed towards her left so she shrugged and headed left.

As she walked she started hearing something in the shrubs. Then she felt like something was watching her. What was that, leaning closer near the shrubs something jumped at her and pulled at her hair.. What the.... PIXIES.. NO, not them.. Oh she hated them. Shooing them away with her hand Minerva tried to run away from them, but they kept pulling at her. Finally shining her light on her wand towards them some backed off. Pointing it at some she yelled, "Stupefy" Stunning a few.. Then in a blink of an eye they were gone. Minerva looked around.. did she just imagine that or were Pixie's really just there.. Not really knowing and not wanting to stick around to find out Minerva turned and quickly headed to a different area.
