As you will have noticed the lesson today is not being held inside the classroom. Instead you have to make your way down to the lake, where a smiling Professor Magnus is ready and waiting to greet you. Behind her is a large cloth covering a large you-don't-know-what...but it's round and almost floor level. Scattered about are cushions for you to sit on, and out in the lake you notice two poles with ribbons attached - but that is for later.
Right now, you should take a seat and make sure you have your nautical themed hat with you. DO YOU?

Ella skipped down to the lake, nautical themed hat on her head, curious about what they might be learning in this lesson. She was especially curious about whether or not they would be getting into the water. Hey! Maybe they'd be making boats or something! That would be quite fun. GRIN.
Spotting Professor Magnus, Ella smiled and waved. "Hi Professor! Nice day, yeah?" And it was, at least in the second years opinion. She then turned her attention to the poles and ribbons-thingy majiggy. Hmm...what could that be? Ella had never seen anything like that before. Deciding the professor would explain it eventually, Ells took a seat on a green cushion by one of the trees and smiled, waiting for her classmates to arrive.
Nigel walked down to the lake, happy he noticed that the class was not going to be in the classroom. Nigel wondered what they were going to do today because he noticed the large round thingy covered by a cloth.
Hmm... what could it be? Nigel thought. When he finally ran out of ideas.
He walks over to Professor Magnus in his awesome fedora he made last class.
"Hi, Professor Magnus"
Nigel said with a smile as he goes to find the most comfortable cushion to sit on.

Kurumi had hurried back up to the castle after having helped Professor Magnus set up for today's lesson, but not because she had needed to get her things. Nope, she just needed some breakfast from the Great Hall. After having her fill of strawberry pancakes, Kurumi made her way back down to the lake with her hat in hand.
Kurumi glanced out at the lake real quick, sort of to check and make sure that the pole she had set up was in fact still stable, and then turned her attention towards Professor Magnus again who she didn't exactly greet - seeing as they had just done so not but half an hour ago or so - but did offer a polite nod before taking a seat.

Vickers made his way down towards the lakes, his transfigured nautical hat tucked under his arm. As he neared their makeshift classroom his eyes was drawn at the wooden structure out in the lake. Huh. Veryyyy curious. If this was Muggle Studies he's be thinking it was some kind of theological discussion but he isnt seeing Professor Cerulean anyway. And yes the big mysterious thing covered up hasnt escaped his notice.
Nautical themed hats, class by the lake, a structure standing in the middle of the water.... the only thing they need are boats.
... Unless that's what they were going to do today?
This could be fun.
"Hello Professor Magnus" the Ravenclaw greeted her with a nod and a small smile.

Another lesson on the grounds? Yep, it was official. Elijah was most definitely convinced that the castle was suffering some bad mould infestation and that was why they were having all of this 'fresh aired' learning.
Despite it being outside, Elijah didn't mind for a number of reasons:
A. Transfiguration was one of his favourite lessons.
B. They were well into spring now so the weather wasn't AS terrible as what the other lessons had experienced.
C. They were going NOWHERE near the forest, it seemed. JUST the lake, which gave Elijah a sigh of relief as he walked over the grounds towards the dedicated teaching spot.
As he came closer to the site in which Professor Magnus had picked, he noticed that not many students had yet turned up. In fact, two of the three that were present were students he'd rather not be in the presence of right now. Maybe he could feign illness and be excused? But the Claw and Gryffie were smart, they would suss out what he was really up to.
Instead he just took a seat on a cushion as FAR away from them both as possible. His nautical hat was stuffed somewhere in his robes pockets. He'd wait till the lesson had started before getting it out. Right now he was extremeeeellly distracted and interested by something... over there... completely away from Vickers and Kurumi, conveniently.

Alyssa walked down to the Lake. She liked the fact that they were going to be having their Transfiguration lesson outdoors. She had remembered to bring her nautical hat that she had transformed from the piece of cloth for her homework assignment with her. She noticed a large circular piece of cloth on the ground and wondered what was under it, but for now, she just made her way to the Professor and greeted her.
"Hello Professor Magnus. It's a great day to be outdoors today." Alyssa then looked around before going over to join her House mate, Ella before sitting down on a yellow cushion next to her. "Hey there Ella. Did you bring your hat?" Alyssa whispered to her friend. She looked over to see two poles with ribbons attached to them and wondered what they were for.
'Oh well, I guess we'll find out sooner or later.'Alyssa thought to herself.

Gideon had made sure to take into notice all the tid-bits of information presented in the notice for the next transfiguration class before making his way down to the lake. Wand...check. Nautical hat upon head...check. Clothes that could get wet...check, check and check. Now all he had to do was arrive and wait and see what the lesson was to intail. Something sea-related no doubt given the need for a naval hat.
"Good day Professor Magnus," he greeted with a polite nod as he noticed the woman smiling off to one side. An curiously-covered item close beside her as well as to poles with ribbons attached. Curious indeed, he mused as he walked over closer to Kurumi and the rest of the early birds like himself and took a cushion. The prefect settling himself down to await the lesson to begin.

Jory headed for Transfiguration class. Before he had left the dorm, he had made sure he grabbed his nautical hat he had made about a week or so ago which was now in his hand.
"Good day, Professor,'' he said as he entered the room. His eyes fell on the two poles and ribbons and he was instantly curious. But he went off to find a seat.
Ella skipped down to the lake, nautical themed hat on her head, curious about what they might be learning in this lesson. She was especially curious about whether or not they would be getting into the water. Hey! Maybe they'd be making boats or something! That would be quite fun. GRIN.

At least they took notice of the lesson announcement, and didn't all turn up to the classroom only to find it empty. That was a good sign.
As the first few students started to arrive Isabelle rocked back and forth on her heels and smiled at them all. "Good morning! A very nice day, yes." Good job she kept this lesson until the end of term. Doing it midwinter might have proved a problem.

"It certainly is, Miss Potter. Hopefully the weather holds out for us." Because it would be awful to get rained on while trying not to get wet in other ways.

OOC: Psst, we're not in a room. ;P
"Hello, Mister Stonewall. Nice to see you." Issy grinned and looked over the boy's shoulder. How many more were going to make it?
OOC: We'll wait for a few more people and then I'll start a little later.
Elliot wondered by the lake...towards what was obviously her class. She was one of the first to be here...hmm. What was it with all of their classes being outside lately? Elliot didn't like it. Outside was yucky. at least it wasn't in that HORRIBLE forest...the lake was much nicer. And prettier...ish. If you could call the lake pretty...
She took a seat on one of the cushions, carrying a sailor girl's hat. She had to look EVERYWHERE(or rather, her mother had, of course, since Elliot was stuck at school) for one...and she had found one, somehow! Elliot refused to wear it though. It was ugly, in her opinion. And weren't sailors those muggle blokes who cursed a lot and had ugly teeth? Yeah...so why would Elliot want to emulate that?! She DIDNT. So the girl merely had it in her hands.
"Hello, Professor Magnus!" she greeted brightly, despite her pessimistic thoughts. she liked the professor..she was a nice lady!
Elliot's attention was immediately caught by the thing in the front...what was that? Hmm...it had some pretty ribbon on it...Elliot liked ribbons! Oh, maybe she would get some ribbons and start wearing them in her hair! How pretty they look in blonde hair..since blonde hair IS the best...
She snapped her thoughts back to where they should be, with class! Hmm...she'll probably tell us later on in the class...and we will be curious the whole time...how distracting for those who don't have keen intention spans... she thought to herself with a smirk. Heehee.

Sarah walked over, the breeze singing in her ears had made her a touch distracted, clutching her sailor's hat in her hand. "Good Day Professor"she said and sat down.Although sitting on the grass would have been perfectly fine for Sarah, she sat down on a cushion graciously.

Her bag slung over her shoulder and her book hugged to her chest while having her hat pressed under chin ,Cassia was striding towards the lake. She totally forgot that the lesson was held there! Luckily ,she found out early enough to make it on time. She didn't even get the chance to put her book and hat in her bag.
As she saw where Professor Magnus and her classmates were gathered she steered towards them picking up her pace. Finally getting there ,the first year gulped in great amount of air into her lungs before stepping closer to her Professor, "Hh....Good day Professor," She said sounding a little bit out of breath. Then she slipped in the closest seat to her, waiting for the lesson to start. And taking in the place around in an attempt to find out why nautical hats were required.

"You too, Professor,'' he Badger told her.
Jory observed the surroundings as they waited for more students. He kept wondering what the poles and ribbons were about. And the thing under the cloth? He grinned. he liked suspense. As he waited he unconsciously placed his hat on his head and adjusted himself on a cushion.
Another lesson outdoors? Well, Silvia wouldn't complain; it was actually rather nice out today. She made her way down to the lake where the class was gathering, hoping that today's lesson wouldn't involve swimming. Her hat was hooked on to the bag at her side.
"Hello Professor," Silvia said as she looked around and then picked a cushion to sit down on. What could they possibly be doing today?

The lake! What a lovely place to hold a lesson. It would out and about in the grounds, and the fresh air outside would be perfect at this time of year. It wouldn’t be too cold, neither would it be too hot, it should be just right. The lake was also waaay safer than the forest and surely there’d be no need to start fainting panicking over scary little creatures.
With her long red hair, down and un-accessorized, Renesmee walked down towards the lake where she could see some students crowded together and sitting down. That had to be where the lesson was, and of course that’s where she was headed.
"Good Morning ,Professor." She said as she arrived.
She noticed how everybody had strange hats with them and pouted as she looked around some more. Was she supposed to bring a hat? She hadn’t remembered what the notice board had said, and so she hadn’t thought of bringing anything extra.
Well too late now!
Hatless, Nessie took a seat down on one of the pillows and looked at the lake as she waited for the lesson to begin.
If only she knew what they’d be learning today…hmm.
Mika made her way to the lake's yeah she was almost late but she had just made it in the nick of time. Panting, out of breath, but on time. She took a deep ragged breath and smiled up at Professor Magnet? No that wasn't it...Maglift? Nope.
Oh Merlin. She'd forgotten her Professor's last name?
"Good morning Professor" she smiled, hoping her utter lack of civility would go unnoticed. After all she was a first year and not a model student at that what with the losing points already. She tutted at herself and looked out over the lake. "Magnus" the pause in the name and saying the greetings was hopefully going to be misunderstood as lack of oxygen because, pfft that was a part of it. A small itzy bitzy part.
She took a seat on one of the comfy cushions and reaching into her pocket pulled out her nautical hat. She just sat there for the time being twirling it in her fingers her mind going to the one thing she wanted to wear with the hat...nautical EVERYTHING. Professor Magnus was sooo speaking Mika's language. She put the hat on her lap and began to fiddle with her sweater. Yeah the one with the GIANT anchor just on the front of it.
Someone didn't wake up roll out of bed and decide to look like they walked off of a swashbuckling movie featuring amazingly delish sailors for no reason. She wanted to look like she had a theme. And she did. Anchors. Anchors was her constant theme.

Kennedy made his way down to the lake where their Transfiguration lesson was going to take part. He would usually be looking forward to this lesson because it was one that came naturally to him, but that could be because he really enjoyed it. Though, today was not his day. His nightmares were only getting worse, to the point where he just stayed awake all night to avoid them.
So, with minor dark circles under his eyes approached the group of students and the professor. "Good day, Professor Magnus," he greeted, his best attempt to smile. She was smiling so it'd be rude if he didn't return the gesture. Plus, he liked her, she was really nice.
Dropping his bag next to a cushion, the Prefect sat down and stared at the lake. What were they doing out here anyway?
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

After reading that the Transfiguration class was being held at the Lake, Daichi made his way over to the place. He hoisted his bag higher up his shoulder and Mr.Duckles' head was sticking out of it, seeing the world.
There was just one little problem. This was the lake... The moment he arrived he went to the Professor and bowed his head in greeting. "Hello Professor Magnus~ How are you today?" he smiled and looked at the water for a second. "Uhm..we aren't going to swim right?" he asked , feeling unsure and looked at the water as if it had teeth.
Oh well... Finding a cushion to sit on, he sat down and noticed that he was besides Kennedy. "Hey Prefect" he laughed slightly and waved his hand at the male.

Now that looked like a forced smile to her, but she wasn't going to question it. Due to the early start of her lessons Issy had got used to some of the students appearing tired during them. "Mister Escalante," she nodded back.

Daichi and his little duck had arrived. Lovely. But he looked nervous, even with the little smile he gave her. "Good morning, I'm well thank you," she smiled back. Swim? "I sincerely hope not. It's not my intention for you all to do that anyway."
Time to start.
"Right then - thank you all for actually reading the notice and coming to the right place," a small chuckle escaped her and she looked around the assembled group. When Professor Magnus started class, Ella turned and focused her attention on the woman. She seemed in good spirits which was always nice, it only made Ella more eager to hear what they would be doing today. Oh! So they would be playing a game AND learning a new spell! That was awesome! The second year was quite excited now, wondering what kind of game it would be. But then the Professor was reaching down for the cloth that covered...well something rather large, and Ella's green eyes grew a bit wide in anticipation. When the object was revealed, the blonde smiled. That was a boat, wasn't it? Only it was a bit oddly shaped...she hadn't seen one like that before. "Professor, I believe that's some kind of boat...though I don't know what it's called." Shrug. Surely one of the older students might know though, yeah?

Sitting down on one of the cushions now, and waving to Daichi (HI!!!), Kurumi's attention was brought forward when Professor Magnus began the lesson. Kurumi glanced back at the poles and ribbons and tried to get the still comical image out of her head of her and Professor Magnus lowering them out of the practice room's window to the ground. It was just too much...and hopefully no one had seen...
It didn't seem that way.
Kurumi leaned forward a bit to get a better look at the object in question. A boat...a little cute boat. And they were going to transfigure that? Okay, Kurumi certainly hadn't thought anything like that while she had been trying to figure out what they were doing today while levitating ribbons across the lake, so now the Gryffindor's mind was in OVERDRIVE. Still, she recognized it from a trip she had taken with her father to Wales briefly and raised her hand. "Professor, I believe those are called coracles."

Alyssa was glad that class had finally started. She got excited when the Professor told her that they were going to play a game and then sat up even more when she revealed what was hidden under the white cloth.
It looked like a wooden boat, but she knew that she had seen it before and kept thinking long and hard. She had seen it when she was vacation with her family in Wales.
It started with a C. 'Cockles...no...coralles...no..' Alyssa knew that the name was on the tip of her tongue.
Just when she was about to give up, she remembered and raised her hand.
"Professor is that round boat called a Coracle or is it a Curach?"she asked.

Reason: changing coding error. Removing something that Alyssa is not supposed to have known xD
Nigel was looking at it wondering why it even had a name and if it's name was funny. But even if it's name was funny. Nigel still had no idea what it was called.
Well it did float in water, so maybe it was a boat.
"Hmm.. it is a boat right?"
Nigel said pointing at it.
