As you walk into the classroom, you notice that everything is exactly where it should be. The desks are in their perfect rows, the large one belonging to Professor Magnus is situated at the back of the room, covered still in it's usual piles of papers. The blackboard is off to the side and has the following written on it:

Ella watched all of the demonstrations and was quite impressed. She genuinely hoped that she could be that good at all of those spells one day. Especially at making a patronus! Cause that was just plain cool. She honestly hoped hers was something awesome like a... a DINOSAUR or maybe an ELEPHANT! That would be wicked. As each presenter went, she couldn't help but admire their bravery. It wasn't easy getting up in front of classmates. Or maybe it was, for some. She rather appreciated Lewis and his demonstration because he seemed a bit uncomfortable but did it anyway. That's how she felt she would be if she was put in the same situation. In any case, she was thankful that the older students were teaching them some really cool stuff. It was quite fun learning from peers.
And that went well too. These kids really did pay attention during classes. Wonders will never cease. Although meat as lenses... Hmmm. Good example, not really practical in real life. But there we go. It worked, and that is what mattered.
"Thank you very much. You can take the turkey with you if you want, no need to waste it," Issy winked at her and gestured to the girl's empty seat.
"Does anyone else have any questions?"
Annabelle was glad the teacher like the spell she taught to the class. A huge weight lifted off her shoulders. She was glad it came out right and she didn't mess it up. "You're very welcome Professor." she said with a smile as the professor talked to her. She took the turkey from the desk and threw it away. She didn't really want to eat it anyways. She was always glad to help out the classroom especially the teacher. She even saw the her other classmates performances and thought they were amazing! She loved seeing Orchideous and Expecto Patronum preformed. She loved Expecto Patronum!

Placing her hands in her pockets, Issy watched carefully as the demonstration took place, nodding as each instruction was given and then shown. Going well so far, now just for the finish. Poof! Pink roses. How lovely. And...for some reason not something she thought Sierra would come out with. Maybe she'd got the girl all wrong.
"That was wonderful, thank you Sierra. Nice and clear and well executed," Isabelle said, holding out a hand to take the flowers from her, and gesturing with the other that she could go back to her seat. "These might be nice placed in the water Mister Rasting will soon produce for us. Talking of which - who would like to come up next?"
Of course it was wonderful. Sierra hadn't gotten up there just to be second best to somebody else. Regardless, she gave the professor a grin. "You're welcome," she said, "...and thank you." Then a moment later, the professor's hand was outstretched, as if she was waiting for Sierra to hand something to her.
The only thing she could possibly want was the roses. HER ROSES?! Magnus wanted her roses? ...but, but, those were going to be potions ingredients! "Oh," she said, handing over the roses. "Right. The water spell..." Decoration. BLAH. With the roses now handed over, Sierra turned and headed back to her her seat.
Sophie watched closely as her classmates explained and demonstrated everything. Some of those spells she knew how to do, but some others - like the flower and the smokey animal ones! - she didn't.
Her eyes sparkled as she imagined herself conjuring pretty flowers and a really cool animal. She got lost in her thoughts trying to figure out what animal hers would be... a birdy? Or a... cat! Or a dog! Could she CHOOSE the animal??? That would be even cooler!
Oohhhh!! Were they going to practise those spells soon???
As each of the volunteers went up to the front to demonstrate a spell, Silvia was scribbling down notes on the spells she didn't know. She couldn't wait to find out what form her patronus takes on, but she knew that it would probably be several years before she could perform it. But it didn't mean she couldn't start practicing in the near future. She hoped that they would get a chance to try some of these spells before class was over.

Dylan watched as the other volunteers completed their spells. They'd chosen some of the more impressive ones, the Slytherin would admit...but he wasn't going to be too put off by that.
Like Sierra...producing her roses. That one never got old...And all the water that Hufflepuff was producing. That particular spell was a little too messy for Dylan's personal tastes, but to each their own.
The Patronus had, of course, been the best by far. His dorm mate had Expecto Patronum'd with focus and concentration...and the white, wispy creature had bust from his wand like the brightest Lumos spell. Hmmp, maybe if he could learn how to produce one, he wouldn't need to do Lumos anymore. He'd have to inquire about whether or not Patronus' could stick around for a while...
Taking a few notes on that spell in particular, Dylan set his notebook aside and stood. There were nerves...but that was just because he was standing in front of his peers...all eyes (for the most part) on him. It could have been nerve-wrecking for anyone...
"So, as you may or may not know, Lumos is also known as the wand-lighting spell." Feeling his mouth go a bit dry, he coughed. This was way too much attention for him at one time. "While it's not the most difficult spell you'll ever learn, it's most definitely one of the most useful. OR that's just been my experience." Eying them all, he paced a bit, hands folded behind his back. As he talked, the nerves were slowly easing away. Thank Merlin. "There are many variations of the spell...but we're just going to be doing a simple Lumos for now."
Taking a deep breath, Dylan finally turned to face the front completely, moving his hands around to pull his wand. "Their aren't really any special motions needed for this spell, so just point it forward (so not to blind yourself with it) and say the incantation Lumos, pronounced LOO-mos." Nodding at everyone, he demonstrated by pointing his wand out in front of him, and saying "Lumos!" clearly.
Light quickly spilled from his wand-tip, illuminating the space in front of him. He'd done the spell so much that it was almost second nature...
Although, he was STILL going to ask about that Patronus...

Nerida was honsetly impressed the most with the patronus, it was the only spell out of the deminstrations that she didnt know, but she couldnt wait to find out what her patronus would be, it would be awesome to learn. What would her memory be too?? She looked at all of the other demenstrations, they were all very good, but still the others just didnt stick with her like the patronus had...

Jory watched his fellow classmates demonstrate the spell. He was very impressed with them all. He watched carefully their wand movements and the way they said the incantations to the spells.
The spell Jory wanted to try the most was the Patronus. He really wondered what form his Patronus would take.

Alyssa watched as each of the older students demonstrated the spells they had volunteered for. She especially like the Orcideous spell and how Sierra demonstrated it. 'Sierra could actually be a great Professor.' Alyssa thought to herself.
She almost giggled out loud when Lewis continued to let the water flow from her wand. She wanted to yell out to him to use the 'Finite' charm but was relieved when he finally stopped the water flow. She closely watched as the other spells were being demonstrated, especially taking note of the wand movements of each spell.
Zack looked a bot surprised to see when professor chose the six students to perform the task of the given spells and to teach the others. He was sure he could do the lomus spell he'd mentioned very well and that it would be really easy for him to do it as he'd done that so many times. He's been learning spell before he came to Hogwarts since his mom and dad were witch and wizard. They'd always talked about the spells and especially lomus. But it was too late to mention his own name now professor had already chosen the ones going to so the spells.
He looked at them as one by one they came forward and did the spell. He was really impressed by the way they did all the spells correctly. Though he felt a bit of laughter when the girl with Aguamenti spell performed her task. He felt it was really funny to watch. He watched the others perform very well. They did indeed knew what they were doing he thought. After they all has finished he tried to remember all the wands movement so it would be easy for him the next time he tried any of those spells.

Janice watched the older students as they performed each spell. She particularly liked the Expecto Patronum, since she had been wanting to do it since she heard of the spell, which was in her DADA class when she was still a small second year. She was a bit surprised, though, because something as mean sharp-tounged as Sierra was chosen to perform such a pretty spell like Orchideous. After each spell, she took down notes of the spell and wand movements that she didn't know.
Once Lewis had returned to his seat it was on to the next volunteer.
Hmm, now for the really hard spell. Isabelle was glad it was a seventh year who was going to attempt this. More chance of them all seeing a fully formed one. She knew how difficult it was for the younger students to do. It had taken her a few years to get her Otter and not just wisps of smoke.
Honestly, she had to admit that they would all make good teachers so far. Thorough explanation from all of them, and good demonstrations overall. And Joao was no different. His patronus was mighty impressive, even if it did only last a few seconds. He'd get the hang of keeping it longer as he got older.
"Well, Mister Neves, I must say you did that very well. Thank you," Issy clapped slightly, then gestured to him to retake his seat.
João wanted to beam at the professor when she said it was good. He was quite happy with himself as well. Sure, it lasted for only about what, 5 seconds?, but still, the fox shape was very obvious. He hoped everyone saw that alright, his accomplishment.
"You're welcome," he said with a polite smile small bow of his head, before adding "and thank you." Then, turning, he took his seat and watched the others perform their spells.
Smiling nervously as Lewis clung to the heavy bucket, Isabelle went to move forwards ready to grab it if necessary. But she needn't have worried. He levitated it nicely onto her desk before heading back to his seat. Wonderful. Picking up the flowers, she placed them in the water to keep them fresh for now.
Right, how many more to do?
Ohh, first a question.

"Professor Magnus, how come conjuring water is considered transfiguration, but not food? And what about other liquids? Would other liquids not count as well because there are added substances to the water that make it an exception to transfiguration? Is it because the building blocks of water are not as complicated as foods and drinks?" she asked, loudly and clearly, with her quill ready to write down exactly what Professor Magnus said in response!
Aha! Elliot was so ready!
And a good question it was too.
"Well, you can also conjure wine. Although none of you are old enough to do that just yet." So she wouldn't be teaching it. Just in case they wondered. "So it most likely is to do with the fact that food is a solid, made up of many, many different minerals. Making it more complex, and therefore one of the exceptions."

As Dylan came to the front, Issy stood back from her desk again, having sorted the roses in the water. Was she even going to have a job after this? They were all too good.
"Thank you very much, nicely demonstrated." Isabelle grinned her appreciation as well, and let him know he could go back to his seat.
"Now, most of you have been sat there and not using your wands this lesson, and due to the fact we have a little bit of time before class is over - I would like you all to either choose 'Lumos' or 'Orchideous' and have a little practise. If you older students don't wish to do that, it is optional, you can help the younger ones get it right. And if anyone needs my help, I'll be right here too."
OOC: Class is due to close tonight, so you have a few hours to practise one of these spells - and ONLY ONE OF THOSE TWO. Older students can either assist the younger ones, or practise themselves. Isabelle is there for anything you need.
"Well, you can also conjure wine. Although none of you are old enough to do that just yet." So she wouldn't be teaching it. Just in case they wondered. Elliot nodded, frantically scribbling what the professor said into her notes. DONE. Oh...now they get to practice? Elliot had done lumos before...but never orchideous. Hmph. Elliot did exactly what was told to do, "Orchideous!" she cried, dramatically, for spells were more fun that way, and a bouquet of pretty daisies appeared. Apparently, she liked daisies? They were...quite pretty. And white. Simple white.

Yeah finally some practice. Nigel was a little tired of never doing any magic and only watching older student do awesome magic. So Nigel thought which spell would he want to practice since he could only do one. Lumos sounded pretty good right now and having light whenever he wanted sounded awesome. So he started saying LOO-mos without his wand first. LOO-mos, LOO-mos, He kept on saying and after a couple minutes of saying it out loud he thought he had the incantation down. So he took out his wand pointed it straight up away from his face and said "LUMOS" loud and clearly.
A little light sputtered and went out on the tip of his wand. "I almost had it" Nigel said, maybe he needed a little more practice until he could master Lumos. He was a first year after all. He was excited that a light actually came out of his wand and now he knew if he practice some more he could actually do Lumos.

Alyssa was glad that it was time for them to practice. The Professor had told them that they were only allowed to try out either the Lumos or Orchideous Spell and since she was already familiar with the Lumos spell and was intrigued with the latter spell, she decided to opt for the flower making spell.
First she practiced saying the words, "ORCHIDEOUS....ORCHIDEOUS...ORCHIDEOUS"
Now for the incantation, she took out her wand and waved it in a circle. Simple enough.
Now to actually cast the spell. Before casting the spell, Alyssa closed her and concentrated on the spell and what she wanted to do. She wanted to make a bouquet of roses appear from her wand.
Alyssa opened her eyes and visualized a bouquet of roses. Concentrating hard on the spell, Alyssa waved her wand in a complete circle and when the circle was complete, she said, "ORCHIDEOUS" A bouquet of flowers popped out from her wand but it was a a bouquet of fake flowers.
'Hmmm...this means that I need more practice' Alyssa thought to herself.

Isidora was SO eager to get the chance to practice a spell, that she didn't even care which spell it was.
It was a new spell!
She already KNEW the spell she wanted to use, and immediately started reciting the incantation a million times over for practices.

Oh yay! YAY!!! They were allowed to practise one of the spells Sophie really wanted to leeeearn!! She would learn how to conjure FLOWERS!!! WICKED!
She quickly pulled out her wand and looked straight ahead, as if she was waiting for someone to demonstrate it again. But everybody had sat down already. Oh well, she still remembered the Slytherin Prefect's explanation. Circle motion, and Orchideous. Sophie started mouthing the words until she thought she had got them right.
"Orchideous." She finally said in a audible tone. RIGHT! SHE WAS READY!
A big smile spread across her face and her eyes twinkled before she did the circle motion with her wand. "Orchideous!"
A single flower - with no stem - appeared at the tip of her wand. Just one flower, BUT IT WAS SO PRETTY!! Sophie held it and stared at it for a while. She had conjured A REAL FLOWER!! "Wicked!" She said under her breath. She could actually redecorate the dorm with this spell aaand the one they had learned last year! She just needed more thimbles...
But wait, since it was supposed to be a whole bouquet of flowers, Sophie hadn't gotten the spell just right yet... she needed to practise MORE! She wanted a whoole, beautiful bouquet!
Sarah decided to opt for Lumos. A muc more useful spell, and easier. After practicing the incanation over and over gain (lu as in loo and mos as in moss, the icky green thing). She rthen took out her wand. Pointing it she said lllumos. didn;t work, next time she shouldn;t stutter so much. She tried again, luuumos, she had gotten past the 'l' yet her toungue was caught on the rest. finally with much will she said 'Lumos' then there were sparks

Well, the rest of the classtime seemed like it'd be a breeze. Sierra knew how to perform Orchideous. She'd just done an all out demonstration in the front of the class. Lumos was one of the first spells she'd mastered. She didn't really see a need to stand here for the rest of the class and shine a light on and off with her wand.
So the only thing left to do was look around and see if anybody still hadn't mastered the spell she'd taught them to do. Hmm. Well, she wasn't just going to pace the room like some slave or house elf. If they needed help, they could come to her.

They could finally do something!
Well, it was only a simple spell, such as Lumos or Orchideous, but it was still better than just watch. As Nora searched for her wand through the pockets of her robes, she wondered which one should she practice. Light or flowers? Hmmm. Lumos, she used that one almost every night when she was too afraid of the dark in the girls' dormitories, so Orchideous it is!
Remembering Sierra's demonstration, Nora made a circle movement with her wand and muttered "Orchideous," watching as daisies came out of the tip of her wand. Hehe.
Jezzabelle had watched as each one was performed and jotted down any and all notes that she needed. She wasn't sure if she should practice Lumos. After all she was already good at it but she had never tried Orchideous. Pulled her wand out of the pocket that had been carefully sewn into her roes she took a deep breath.
"Orchideous." She said letting the words roll around her her mouth her wand being held still. She was going to practice saying it first. No need to make a mess by mispronouncing the word. "Orchideous." She said again. Practice makes perfect, yes?

YES! They could have a turn. YAY.
Theodore picked up his wand straight away and circled it in a huge 'O' pattern. "Or-kid-eous!" OH YEA. He said it, pauses and all. But nothing happened like he had expected it to.
So he tried a little faster.
"ORCHIDEOUS." Only, the wand movement was forgotten this time.
Pouting, Theo thought he'd pluck up the courage to ask the Prefect who had just demonstrated. This was a big leap for Theo, and his old!people fear.
"Excuse me? Could you help me with the Orchideous, please?" It was her prefect duties, of course.

Belle heard the Professor's instructions and decided to practice Orchideous. She loved making flowers coming out of her wand. She needed a recap of the wand movements. She remembered the Slytherin did a circular motion. She did the wand movement and mouthing Orchideous. She did that about three times. Then she put it into action! She said "ORCHIDEOUS!" confidently and then did the circular motion and BAM flowers came out of her wand! She did it! There was two yellow flowers that appeared out of her wand. They were gorgeous and yellow for house pride! ""
