As you walk into the classroom, you notice that everything is exactly where it should be. The desks are in their perfect rows, the large one belonging to Professor Magnus is situated at the back of the room, covered still in it's usual piles of papers. The blackboard is off to the side and has the following written on it:

Gideon had watched the rest of the volunteers do their own and wondering how he was going to do his and not feel like a complete fool. They all seemed so knowledgeable and calm and collected. Okay...breath Gert, ye can do this. And he had managed to accomplish it during his OWL...just hoped it was part of the exam he had graded well on. Oh well, it was too late to unvolunteer.
The sixth year prefect got up from his seat and stepped towards the front, turning around to he could face his classmates and Professor Magnus. "Ristarsis is a transfiguration spell by virtue that it is a spell that changes the appearance of something," he started out, take a breath as he gathered his words better. "More correctly it is a color changing spell. One that works or can work on both a person's hair or eyes." After all it wasn't always workable for it depended on the intent and ability of the person casting. His mind absently flashed back to the person he had partnered with for the previous lesson on the subject and he couldn't help but falter just a little.
Closing his eyes for but a short moment to gather himself, he pushed forward. Thoughts of Selina had no place bothering him in class and distracting him. Gideon couldn't...wouldn't let it do so. Opening up his eyes once more, he slipped his wand from where it had been kept in his pocket to actually show the spell in use. Purposefully doing all he could to focus on the professor's part of the lesson rather than anyone else, remembering the wand movement needed for the spell to work.
"Ris-TAR-is!" Gideon cast, touching the tip of his wand to his head and focusing on changing the color...picking a nice shade of blue rather then the red used before. Too many memories. It seemed to have worked for he was soon greeted by the sight of a blue curl as he pulled it slightly in front of his eyes to see. "Just one tap upon yer head as you say the incantation," the sixth year instructed before letting go of the curl. He looked to the professor hoping he had done alright and moved to head back to his seat.
OOC: A little earlier in the lesson.
Mister Gert was the last of the demonstrators to come up, and Isabelle gave him a big welcoming smile as he made his way to the front. And he did just as well as the others had done. An approving look on her face, Issy nodded as he returned to his seat. "Thank you, Mister Gert. Very well done."

So as he had no choice so decided to try the other spell Orchideous something about flowers coming out from the wans tip. It's worth trying he thought and removed his wand.
He thought for a while the movement for the spell and then holding his wand in his right hand it moved it his wand in a circle and said "Orchideous". But to his surprise nothing happened. Maybe he needed to concentrate a nit more and make the circle more correctly. He took a firm grip of his wand and move it in a circle in front of his saying "Orchideous" and a bouquet of flowers conjured from the tip of his wand. He looked at it in complete surprise. He didn't think it would happen in just a second try. He took the flowers happily in his and looked at them. They looked so beautiful. Now what was he going to do with it? He looked around to see professor and there she was. He moved closer to her and said "Professor, what should i do with them?" he asked nervously.
Class was now coming to an end, and Isabelle cleared the board of whatever writing was left on it, and moved the bucket from her desk and onto the floor. As each of the kids finished up their practise, she glanced around when she heard someone address her.
"Oh, they're lovely. You can keep them if you wish - although they will disappear after a while, being conjured flowers. Or you can place them in the bucket with Sierra's roses. Same goes for all of you who have been conjuring flowers!" she called out to the rest, some of whom had bunches, or single blooms on their desks.
"Our time is up I'm afraid. So you may pack up your things and go. I'll post your homework on the board very soon. Thank you all for your contributions this lesson!"
Michelle, still proud of having been able to perform the Lumos spell perfectly, was grinning ear to ear. She was in a particularly bright mood, and nothing was going to spoil it. Nope, not for the next four days.
"Thank you, Professor! I had a great time. Good day!" she said to Professor Magnus and trotted off back to the Common Room, happily.

Oh, the lesson was over already? Kurumi took another look around the classroom and was rather pleased to see that nothing had blown up or melted. Oh, wait, the melting had usually been done by her. Considering that the two spells from today were rather basic for a sixth year, this hadn't been a problem. Thank Merlin. Deciding to keep her flowers, Kurumi packed up her things and approached Professor Magnus. "Thank you for the lesson, professor," she said with a small bow. It was nice to have some easy brush up lessons to start off the term. Still, Kurumi hoped that something more advanced would be in store for the next lesson - just as long as she didn't melt anything that is.
Adjusting the strap on her shoulder, Kurumi turned around and headed towards the door to make her way back to the common room...when she froze mid step. Her right leg was still slightly in the air, her knee bent and a slight angle, and her eyes were staring blankly ahead. She didn't move a muscle as students walked past her as they exited the classroom. It was as if someone had pointed had cast a Body-Bind Curse on the prefect...only her arms and legs did not snap together...nor did she fall over from a lack of balance. Her eyes? They were rather vacant looking as well.
Suddenly, Kurumi began to move again, completing her step out of the classroom but she stopped and felt disoriented. Wait. Why was she here? Turning around and seeing the Transfiguration classroom in front of her, Kurumi cocked her head to the side and removed her class schedule from her bag. Oh, of course! She had a lesson! Smile on her face, Kurumi stepped back into the room and shot a few confused looks as students continued to walk past her and out of the room. Had they decided not to take the subject this year? That was a shame considering how useful Transfiguration was and what a brilliant professor Professor Magnus was.
"Hello, Professor Magnus," Kurumi said as she took a seat and began to unload her parchment and quill for note taking. "Those are lovely flowers." The pink roses that is.

Transfiguration was already done in a snap? Was Jonathan asleep the whole time? Because it all seemed so fast paced and just happened so suddenly. One moment they were all talking about their favorite spell, the next practicing it and now, dismissal? Wow. Merlin, how time travels fast. It's a sort of a good thing right? Well, aside from NEWTs, Jonathan was sure excited about the holidays for this term.
After finishing up, Jonathan placed his wand back into those long tiny pockets inside his robes and opened his bag. Placing all the parchment and quills inside it, as neatly as possible. Jonathan didn't copy notes today, but he did remember most of the things discussed today. He then took his bag and faced the professor giving her a smile before leaving "Thank you for today Professor" even though it was sort of a short lecture, it was still nice "Good day" he said as he continued to walk outside of the door.
Nigel was happy he finally got the Lumos spell to work. He had a big smile on his face as he walked over to the professor and said "Thanks for the lesson Professor" He turned and walked out of the class think what he should do now.

Annabelle was sad the lesson was coming to an end. She really liked this class and it was one of her favorites. "Thank you very much professor." Annabelle said with a smile. She packed up her things in her backpack and was off to her next class.

Alyssa was disappointed that Transfiguration class was over but was glad that she had at least been able to finally get a bouquet of roses. She placed the roses in the bucket with the other flowers.
Then she packed up her things put them in the backpack before making her way to Professor Magnus.
"Thank you again, Professor for another interesting lesson. I can't wait for your next class. Before I leave do you need help cleaning up?" Alyssa asked the Professor

Muttering a Finite for the daisies to disappear, Nora packed her things and made her way towards the door. "Goodbye, professor," she smiled at professor Magnus, and walked out of the room. Now that she had recently conjured flowers, maybe she'll fill the girls' dormitories with them. You know, to make the place less creepy.

Minerva smiled after making flowers a few times. When Professor Magnus said it was time to end she frowned a bit, the class went so quickly. She put her parchment and quill back into her bag and threw her bag over her shoulder. Walking to the front of the room she smiled at Professor Magnus. "Thank you for the lesson professor, have a great day."
"Goodbye everyone, have a good day!" Isabelle grinned at them all as they left, giving a nod to each that spoke to her. It was good to see they had at least enjoyed it. Even if there was less wand work than normal.

"You're quite welcome, Miss Hollingberry," Issy replied as the prefect said her thanks and began to leave. Isabelle followed close behind her, ready to tidy any of the desks that were left in a mess, but almost bumped into the girl when she stopped dead in front of her.
Really stopped. Not moving at all.
Narrowing her eyes, Isabelle walked around to the side and gave Kurumi the once over. She was frozen. Was she ill? Nothing had happened during the lesson that would make her this way. Just as she was about to put a hand out to touch her, Kurumi started moving and walked towards the door. Backing up towards her desk, Issy stared slightly as the prefect suddenly took something out of her bag and came back into the classroom - acting as if nothing had happened. Even sitting down like she had done an hour previously.
"Urrrr, Miss Hollingberry...I don't mean to be rude, or alarm you - but are you feeling all right? The lesson is over. You have been here the whole time. You were just leaving...."

Wait... the lesson was already over? Oh.
Delilah scrunched her eyes up and put her head on the desk. Wonderful. She'd not managed to conjure ANY flowers at all. Why couldn't she do it? It's not like it was a particularly hard spell...
Sighing, she sat up. Then she began to angrily stuff her things back into her bag.
Without even looking at Professor Magnus, Delilah quickly left the classroom with her head down. She WOULD have learnt that spell before the next transfiguration lesson. She just HAD to.
Class done? João shrugged to himself, right before he remembered his success that an expression of wonder was on his face. He had really done it. He had really created a full Patronus fox. Right in front of all the people. He was that accomplished.
Smiling at the professor again, he said "Have a nice day, Professor!" and left the room merrily.
Mister Gert was the last of the demonstrators to come up, and Isabelle gave him a big welcoming smile as he made his way to the front. And he did just as well as the others had done. An approving look on her face, Issy nodded as he returned to his seat. "Thank you, Mister Gert. Very well done."

Zack looked so happy when professor mentioned how beautiful his conjured flowers were and a smiled grew bit more when she told him to keep the flowers next to Sierra's if he wanted. He sure could keep them with him but the bucket looked much better. He looked back at the professor and smiled "Thank you Professor, I’d love to keep them in the bucket." he sad and stepped back to keep the flowers into the bucket.
He moved his flowers from his left hand to his right and took a final look at them and then kept in next to the ones that were earlier there. Now the bucket looked much prettier than it had with so many beautiful flowers in it. He went to his seat and collected his bag. He looked back at the professor and said his final bye "Bye professor, it sure was a great lesson. See you in the next class." he said smiling at her and headed for the door.

Gideon nodded as Professor Magnus thanked him for his demonstration, approving of how he had done it. Returning to his seat he had practiced one of the two spells they were told to until the end of class. Moving to pack up his things, the prefect registered that he had never changed his hair back, the blue tinged curls catching his attention as he moved. Picking up his wand once more, he did his best to return it to normal. "Intarsis," he cast taping his head once more. Thankfully this time around, he checked and his hair seemed well enough.
Finishing the packing of his parchment and such, Gideon slipped his bag over his shoulder and moved to leave. "Thanks for the class professor," he said thanking Professor Magnus as he moved towards the door. However he was just about at the door when Kurumi stepped back inside causing the boy to step back as she moved disjunctedly. The prefect watched her, just about as confused as the professor who asked if the girl was alright.
"Kurumi?" he questioned, looking from his friend and fellow prefect to the professor, wondering too what was up.

Oh, so class was over? Sierra looked at the young Slytherin she'd been about to help and shrugged. "Well, maybe some other time," she said. They'd see one another around. They were in the same house, after all. "You know where to reach me." She reached down and grabbed her book bag, tossing it over her shoulder a moment later.
As she headed toward the door, she turned to tell Magnus goodbye. "Bye, Professor," she said, giving a little wave. See yaaaaaaa."Good less--..." Her words were cut short, though. She'd just frozen right in place, as if someone had just hit the pause button on the world around her.

Aww, the lesson was over already? Lewis had been trying to cast the Lumos spell non-verbally. And he'd almost succeeded. Almost. The tip of his wand had definitely lit up a little bit. Right when he'd been about to try again however, Professor Magnus had announced that the lesson was over. Bleh. Oh well, he was just going to have to practice it in the Common Room then. Another goal for this term added to the list.
After gathering all of his things, Lewis started walking towards the door, saying his goodbyes to the professor as he past her. His head turned, however, and he stopped looking where he was going when Kurumi walked right past him again and...greeted the professor?! What?! Was everything alright with her? Well, considering everything. But this was extremely weird behavio-
Okay, maybe he should have turned his head back. Or stopped walking. As it were though, he just collided with somebody walking in front of him, no chance of avoiding it. "Oh, I'm so sor...ry" He trailed off upon realizing WHO it was he'd literally run into, making him swallow hard. Oh no. Only why on Earth had she just stopped walking?! That wasn't very thoughtful of her either. But there was probably no way that he would be able to make Sierra see that.

So the lesson was over? Ella was just a bit disappointed, especially cause she was hoping to learn something brand new. The second year did appreciate the practice though, it was always good to improve on her technique and she really did want to become skilled with her wand. Plus, how cool was seeing the patronus?! SO COOL. That's how much.
Packing up her notes and putting them away, Ella stood and double checked that she had everything she needed. Yup, she was all set to go. The second year headed for the door, stopping in front of the professor. "Thanks Professor Magnus, see you next time."

Class was done...already!!!
Lily was surprised. It had seemed like a very short class, probably because they didn't do that much in the way of practice. So she packed up her bag, and stood up, preparing to make her way to the door. She smiled a bit before heading up to leave. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor. I hope you have a good rest of the day." And with that the second year was gone...out the classroom door and headed to her common room.

Missing the looks from her classmates, which was a very good thing because Kurumi was tired of them looking at her as though she were some fragile piece of glass, Kurumi's full attention was on Professor Magnus who was speaking utter nonsense. Either that, or playing a joke on her. Was it April already? Wasn't there a day in April where people played pranks on one another? That must be it.
"I'm feeling just fine, professor," Kurumi said with a small nod and a smile. The sixth year then shook her head. No, no offense at all and Kurumi never found Professor Magnus to be rude, so Kurumi should really be asking her if she was alright, yes? She was the one not making sense. "But, professor, how can that be possible when it is still so early in the day and I've only just arrived?" Kurumi asked, cocking her head to the side and completely ignoring the sun's position outside the windows of the classroom. If she had been here the entire time, surely she would have remembered that.
Kurumi had finished setting her things out on the desk and set her book bag on her lap. So...today's lesson was going to be about flowers? Hadn't they had a lesson a term or two back where they had transfigured vases? Would they be brushing up on that perhaps? "Professor, if you need anyone to demonstrate Floreneo today, I would be more than willing to help."

"A little something called Felix Felicis...With it, anything could be possible...but it's extremely difficult to make." Dylan knew this because he'd tried a few times...And they'd each been complete failures...
Not offering anything further on that subject, he grinned while moving back some so she could demonstrate. And upon seeing her do so, the Slytherin thought he might have an idea as to why it wasn't working out so great for her. "If I may..." Moving forward, he leaned down to grasp her wrist. "I know I'm just a Fourth Year...but one learns at a young age that to perform any magic, it takes patience, confidence, and absolute focus...The way your waving your wand is all wrong." Shaking her wrist some with his own hand, Dylan attempted to relax the girl's obvious tension. "I think that a lot of times we confuse intensity with focus."
Nodding his head, he once again moved back, releasing her arm. "Now, try it again...but this time, IMAGINE your wand lighting from the tip. Form a clear mental picture and focus on it." Intent was a big part of the casting process, right? He thought he was remembering this correctly. "...And instead of shaking your wand like you would a stick in front of a dog, hold it firmly while you pronounced LOO-mos."
Felix felicis...and anything was possible with it? That would be incredibly cool to have. All the things she could do with it...but it was also difficult to make, according to him, and if it was already hard, then it would probably be nearly impossible for her. So that sucked. Apparently Penelope was just going to have to hope that there wouldn't be a time soon where there wasn't anyone around to help her with these spells.
But it was a good thing she saw his hand reaching for her wrist and knew he was trying to help. She almost lashed out on instinct and tried to punch him or poke him in the face with her wand. She didn't like people grabbing her. But fortunately, she didn't do either of those things. Certainly wouldn't be good if she injured someone who really was only trying to help.
She listened as he spoke, frowning and biting her lip as she tried to really take it all in. Her hand instinctively tensed up when he started shaking her wrist, but then she remembered he had told her to relax just a few minutes before, so she forced herself to do just that, loosening and relaxing her grip on her wand once more.
And then her arm was free again and he was saying something she was pretty sure she remembered Kurumi telling her during the flying lesson when her broom wouldn't come up. Apparently it was supposed to work for spells too? "Okay..." Still biting her lip, she closed her eyes and starting picturing in her mind her wand lighting up like she had seen the other students' do, like she had once seen her mother's do. Then she opened her eyes and, holding her wand firmly (or what she hoped was considered firmly), she carefully spoke the incantation once more, "Lumos."
And slowly, the tip of her wand lit up, and a smile made one of its rare appearances on her face.

But then...the lesson was over?
Penelope frowned again. It was over just when she was finally doing something right? Meh.
With her concentration on the spell gone, the light on the tip of her wand faded, which made her frown even more. But at least it fading still meant she'd finally cast the spell correctly. That was something she could be happy about.
And she probably should thank the fourth year boy. She probably wouldn't have gotten the spell if it wasn't for him. "Thanks," she said, finally turning her eyes away from her wand and toward him, "for helping me."

After Jory had placed his flowers with the others, he packed up his belongings in his bag.
"Thanks for a great lesson, Professor,'' he said on his way out. He decided on spending some time by the Lake to complete outstanding hoe work, he didn't want to have a stack of them at once.
Okay, so she wasn't imagining things. Kurumi's fellow prefect had also noticed the girl was acting strangely. Isabelle looked over at him as he said her name. Raising her eyebrows, she shrugged her shoulders, shook her head and continued to watch the girl unpack her things. Very strange.

As she headed toward the door, she turned to tell Magnus goodbye. "Bye, Professor," she said, giving a little wave. See yaaaaaaa."Good less--..." Her words were cut short, though. She'd just frozen right in place, as if someone had just hit the pause button on the world around her.
Still slightly distracted by the Gryffindor in front of her, Isabelle raised a hand to give a small wave to Sierra as she said good bye and went to leave. "Thank you, Miss Greingoth, I appreciate the ---"...help. Hang on. She'd stopped talking mid word....

After gathering all of his things, Lewis started walking towards the door, saying his goodbyes to the professor as he past her.
And got in the way of Lewis as he was leaving.
Walking over, and leaving Kurumi to her little fantasy for a second, Issy gestured for Lewis to move to the side slightly. Standing in front of Sierra, she waved a hand in front of her face hoping for a reaction. Nothing. It was as if the girl was frozen in place. Just like Kurumi had been.
This was two things: a) not good and b) very weird.
Slapping a hand to the girls forehead, Issy felt for a fever. She was sure it must be some virus because nothing could have happened to them at school that would cause this. Could it?

With Sierra still not moving, and no temperature to be found, Isabelle moved back to the front and started studying Kurumi's face. She seemed fine. She said she was fine. But how could she be? She was waffling on about it being early, and the lesson just starting. "But you haven't just arrived, my dear. That's the point. You were leaving. Going. Not coming." Just to emphasis the point, Issy moved her arms in such a way to signal something going away from her. Although, yes, it was still early. Ish. But then her lesson was always the first of the day, so that wasn't surprising.
Right, well maybe Kurumi had a temperature? Maybe people were affected in different ways. Cece might know. "Now, I know you said you're fine, but just let me..." she broke off the end of her sentence and moved forward, hand out to feel the Gryffindor's forehead as well. Nope. Nothing.

Alyssa smiled and said,"Okay then Professor. I'll be off now. Thank you for another interesting lesson." Alyssa told her before making her way out of the classroom.

Sierra was still frozen in place and subconsciously had no idea she'd been so rudely bumped into. In reaction to the small collision, Sierra's frozen body rocked slooooowly to the left, and the slooooowly to the right. Then it rocked slooooowly to the left again, looked like it would fall over like a tree suddenly cut down, and then it righted itself once again.
The fifteen-year-old still stood there, stiff as a board.

One or the other. "Oh, hello, Professor," she said, and then she started to take a seat but noticed there were others leaving. Scooting away from the desk, she quickly added, "Oh, I mean...goodbye!" With a slightly awkward wave, Sierra edged out the room with the rest of the students.
