Slides, swings, and other things, the playground rests on the free grounds overlooking the lake. The clever design, Mr. Murdoch says so himself, is slightly similar to Hogwarts, and just like the castle, the playground comes with surprises of its own. The ladders disappear, the roundabout moves on its own and the dragon-shaped spring rockers will try to throw you off. Don't worry if it succeeds, though, Waylon has placed protective charms along the grounds so no injuries happen.
He wouldn't want the Healer mad at him, after all.
Voila! Here stood Paulie, at the top of the tower, before the biggest slide on the playground. Eat your hearts out, kiddos, Paulie was gonna FLY down this slide. Perhaps he could charm it to make it waxy and even more slippery? Just as he mentally posed this question, he heard a loud 'NOOOOOOOOOOO' coming from somewhere below. The voice was much deeper than any firstie he'd ever known, so he put his slide glory aside and peered over the edge of the tower to see who made this bellow.
Wow! It was actually someone around his age. Paulie had to admit that he was pleasantly surprised to find another that felt no embarrassment in participating in things that maaaay have seemed a little childish to the average onlooker. "Havin' trouble gettin' to the top, mate? First step's a doozy, I hear." He grinned.
Cornelius, shaking his head lightly, sat up as he heard a voice call out to him, noting the trouble he was having. That's what happens when the steps disappear! "I'll say!" he muttered, though his signature grin was quickly falling back onto his features as he got up to his feet and brushed off any dirt he might have collected. What a nice surprise to find soemone his own age here; he thought he and his cousins were the only teenagers immature enough to goof around like this! In the next second, he had hopped up onto the platform he had been climbing towards before, at the older boy's side moments after to greet him. That was when he saw the Head Boy pin.
No way. No way was the Head Boy as immature as he was, enough to go on the playground! Cornelius grinned. "I didn't know the Head Boy had enough time off to slide!" he let out through chuckles, gesturing to the badge before slipping past him and sliding down the slide. That's right; he cut him in line and he didn't even care.
Taylor saw Maxwell and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Hey, Maxwell." She smiled at him and laughed. Tay just finished her last class of the day. It was after lunch and she had all afternoon to do as she pleases though Maxwell has to go to a class sometime.
Maxwell smiled. "Hello, beautiful. How was class?" Maxwell didn't want to go to his last class it wasn't for another two hours but still he wanted more time with Taylor.
Tay shrugged, "It was class, nothing new." She laughed and smiled, "I'm going to do my homework while you are in your class so that we can spend more time together, okay?" She kissed his cheek and hugged him, laying her head on his chest.
Maxwell nodded back. "Sounds like a plan, what should we do tonight after class?" he asked hugging her back. "I have charms...Ariana's in the same class, I'm thinking of saying i'm sorry after class, so if i'm a few minutes late after that's why."
Tay shrugged, "We can eat dinner and we play our instruments." She laughed and smiled. Taylor sat down on one of the swings and nodded, "Okay... and that is sweet of you to say sorry to her." Tay smiled.
Maxwell sat at the swing as well. "Sounds like a perfect night." he said excitedly. "Well, i was wrong and I know that so i should admit it and ask for forgiveness." Maxwell was trying to be more mature and do the right thing this year instead of just whatever he felt like.
Glenn found a free swing and started lazily swinging to and throw. She built up speed and started swinging right up into the air. "WOOHOO!" She laughed bu ther laugh just as quickly turned into a scream as the swing disappeared in mid-air, flinging her through the air onto the ground. She expected the shock of the earth that she would get at home if she fell but instead bounced. Of course. The softening charm.
The blonde went to get up but tripped over her over-long limbs onto the soft ground. She swept the dirt from her jeans and stood up properly this time. Now where was that stupid swing...? Perhaps she'd climb up the tower thingy instead this time.
Brooke smiled a little bit as Louisa apologised. "Thats....Okay." again she was speaking in between swings so the other girl could hear her. The last thing she wanted was for Louisa to think it wasn't okay. Well actually, the last thing she wanted were more things like people to eat meat, and animals to be killed for meat and animals to be in zoo's etc, etc. But this was up there somewhere.
And then the swing slowed down.
Phewwww. Brooke let out a deep breathe and smiled at Louisa as she came and knelt down infront of her. Be sick ? Brooke shook her head. "Yeep. im fine. THAT WAS FUN!" but she was kind of glad it was all over now; she didn't want to be sick or anything because that was gross. "Now what do you wanna play ?" their playtime wasn't over yet, Brooke still had plenty of playing left inside her.
Louisa stood up along with Brooke and was about to bid her goodbyes since the girl wanted only to play on the swings... or not. "Uhh... you can... uhh... try anything really." Because the Prefect was NOT going to play on anything. Really. Just.. no. "I can watch." See, she wasn't even trying to escape. Louisa was being nice.
However, the Ravenclaw wondered why this energetic little girl was here all alone. Shouldn't kids swarm places in groups? Like they were so communicative and outgoing almost no kid hung out on his own. "Is it your first year at Hogwarts? Why isn't there any of your..." little ".. friends here with you?" Because Louisa was almost two ft taller than the girl and their interests didn't really match. no matter how content and happy Louisa's heart was with Brookie

Ella had yet to see the new playground which was CRAZY seeing as she loved playgrounds! Well swings really, she loved swings. They had provided her with her first sense of what flying felt like way before she had felt the sensation on a broom. As soon as she saw them she got tunnel vision, nothing and no one was noticed as she headed straight for them. In her haste, she failed to see the girl laying on the ground, failed to notice that she was right in her way, failed to realize that she was going to-OOF.
The second year hit the ground and noticed the sensation of someone else's body there with her. HUH? Maneuvering her small frame so that she was in a sitting position, she noticed that she had tripped right over someone! Merlin's beard..."I am SO sorry. Are you alright?" She asked, worry evident in her tone.

Come on! You can't get away from me. Sarah jumped on that naughty star, it wouldn't stop! She jumped to the belt and aimed a long jump towards the Jupiter from the asteroid belt. "Here I come, Jupi-" and something landed hard on her stomach. "OUCH!! MERLIN'S PANTS!" she yelled in pain and woke up with a start.
Sarah had fallen into a quick sleep and something had fallen on her quite hard. Wait, it's not something. Someone. She tried to sit up, but couldn't. Sarah clutched her pain in agony. "Oww.." she closed her eyes and opened them back a minute later to see a girl sitting by her side, apologizing.
She'd seen her before. Yeah, in the book club. "Ella, right?" she tried to speak, still holding her stomach. "How much do you weigh?" she said, trying to grin, but it turned to a grimace.

Brooke smiled as Louisa came and stood with her. She was so happy to have made another new friend. She looved making new friends. Yayayay! And Louisa didn't wanna play ? Brooke pouted before opening her mouth and saying "You dont wanna play too ?" she wanted to her to play with her. eeep.
Brooke looked up at Louisa, who was quite a bit taller than herself and shook her head. This was most certainly not her first year at Hoggiewarts. Although ,it may aswell've been because she'd spent like all of her first year in the common room and inside cos she was too scared of getting lost. "Nope, its my second." why weren't there any of her friends around, good question. mmm. "I dunno, i fink theyre all busy and stuffs. I dunno!" she flailed, pulling a sad face.

Seeing that was like... showing a hunger tiger a gigantic slab of meat. Blue went absulutely WILD. She squealed and ran towards it, her hands outstretched, clasping and unclasping. She climbed up a ladder and beamed down from the top of the tower.
"I'm the queen. I'm the queen of the castle!" She sang as she walked across a rope bridge, giggling as it wobbled dangerously, threatening to turn-over.
She hopped onto the other tower and saw a SLIDE and slid down the SLIIIDDDE except for half way down it, it disappeared and she fell on an invisible cushion to stop herself from really hurting her butt on the ground.

Paulie's mouth tugged in a lopsided grin. It was much appreciated when others did not take Paulie's comments so seriously, for he'd probably bet that half the time that he was speaking, he wasn't being serious. Clearly not disheartened by his fall, the other boy swiftly climbed up to the platform he'd been aiming for before.
Paulie still wasn't accustomed to the Head Boy badge, so he basically had forgotten about it completely until he followed the Ravenclaw's eyes to his chest. He opened his mouth to respond to his witty little remark, when suddenly the guy slipped right past him and beat him to sliding down the slide first. GASP. The nerve! Though that was something Paulie would have done, and so he could not help but grin down at this student at the bottom of the slide. "This Head Boy always makes time for some fun," he answered, moving on to latch on to the nearest of the monkey bars. He let his legs fall off the edge of the platform and swung them forward for momentum as he moved across the bars. When his feet were planted firmed on the boards of the next tower, he patted his palms on his trousers and looked back at the boy who had beaten him to the slide. "So, what's your name?"

Jonathan was caught up fantasizing about his Delilah O'Flanagan wildlife show when he was sucked back to reality by a question.
"Oh!" Jonathan replied simply. "Well, of course... The hero not winning the girl is essential to the secret agent action mission motif." This all seemed to obvious. "Why, it's like casting a spell without waving your wand!!! Or... Or... It's like climbing a tree and not falling off at least once!!!" It's like.... Um.... It's like..." Jonathan was racking his brain.
"It's like going to Brazil and not getting ants so you can cook them up and eat them..." Now, Jonathan was hungry.
"Do you want some grapes??" Jonathan pulled out a pouch. "I'd offer you some bugs, but I have grapes today, instead... Also, you're a vegetarian." He held out his pouch. The boy was ranting at a thousand words a minute.
Delilah eyed the boy. “Of course. How very essential.” she mimicked, rolling her eyes. She decided against mentioning the forms of VERY complicated and awesome wandless magic; or that she was way too good at climbing trees to fall off even once... or that she was a BLOODY VEGETARIAN. She just looked at him. “Bugs... Ew.” Pause. “You actually seriously like them don’t you?” Just the IDEA made her feel a little bit ill. What’s wrong with REAL food? NORMAL food?
Grapes. Ah. Well, that was... unexpected.
She cocked her head to the side, resembling a confused puppy. “Oh! Erm... Well, sure.” Why not? He hadn’t poisoned them, after all.
…
He hadn’t, had he? No... that’s a silly idea.
The Slytherin paused with her hand in the pouch; her eyes widening with surprise (and quite possibly delight, too) “You remembered?! Wow...” Noone ever remembered that she was veggie. Even her own MOTHER forgot about it, sometimes...
Realising that her hand was still in Jonathan’s pouch, Deliah quickly grabbed a couple of grapes and then took a small step back, putting a bit of distance between them. “Um... thank you...”

omnomnomnom grapes.
Do I seriously like- DO I SERIOUSLY LIKE THEM?!?!
"Yes... Of course..." He said nonchalantly. He almost questioned Delilah. "You really shouldn't knock them. They're literally everywhere on Earth... An almost endless supply of food." Jonathan couldn't understand why people didn't like bugs. People eat chickens. CHICKENS! Now, that's a weird creature. Hello, I'm a fat descendant of dinosaurs that wishes it can fly... And I'm not as good as turkeys.
Delilah slowly took the grapes, and Jonathan just offered a friendly smile as she did. To be honest, she looked like she needed a friend.
AND I'M THAT GUY!
The boy popped a grape in his mouth, but it seemed as though his time on the playground was over. "Well, Delilah..." Swallow. "I must be off... I have other beautiful girls to save from ever villains." He began to walk away. "You're welcome, by the way."
The boy swooshed his invisible cape and ran off back to the castle. Evil doers beware!!!!

... How could she not dislike them?! SHE WAS A VEGETARIAN. Just being they're ALL over the world doesn't mean she'd want to try and EAT them! Glaaaaaare. Silly Jonathan.
"Oh... okay." Delilah ate one of the grapes. Wait... what? Other beautiful girls? She looked behind her, as if expecting to find someone that fit the criteria... She looked back to question that, but he was already walking away.
I'm welcome... "Right, thanks..."
Beautiful?! Jonathan was obviously actually insane...
She watched him for a minute as he ran off towards the castle, before turning back to the playground. At least now that he was gone, she could EXPLORE this place PROPERLY.

She'd seen her before. Yeah, in the book club. "Ella, right?" she tried to speak, still holding her stomach. "How much do you weigh?" she said, trying to grin, but it turned to a grimace.
O__O Ella had not expected the outburst but couldn't blame the girl because she had pretty much trampled her. What was she, an elephant or something? And even better, the girl seemed to be hurt, clutching at her midsection. Oh no, okay...she had hurt this girl. FROWN. Crawling over to the older girl, Ella stopped beside her and looked down, her long blonde hair falling in her face. Tucking it behind her ears, she went into nurse mode. "Oh no! You're hurt. Is it really bad?" Please Merlin let this girl be alright.
And wait, this girl knew her name? She did look pretty familiar. She nodded, trying to think of where she knew the girl from...OH! Book club. "And you're Sarah...and I've nearly killed you." Ella was worried, especially since Sarah could hardly speak. "H-How much do I weigh?" She asked, not immediately understanding the joke. "Well I weigh abou-Oh, you're joking." Which said a lot about this girl, especially since she way laying in pain. Ella smiled at her but that quickly disappeared, a concerned look taking its place. "Do you think you need to get the hospital wing?"
Maxwell sat at the swing as well. "Sounds like a perfect night." he said excitedly. "Well, i was wrong and I know that so i should admit it and ask for forgiveness." Maxwell was trying to be more mature and do the right thing this year instead of just whatever he felt like.
"that is mature of you, Maxwell." Tay smiled. She swinger a d laughed. "HEy Da--" she faked a frown. "oh, it's you..."
Damon walked through the playground. Obviously not there to play... even a fifth year can get lost at some point right?

Maxwell looked at Taylor with a raised eye-brow. "Stop, both of you. I know you both miss each other so what's the problem? If you think i'll be Jealous i won't. Damon, I have nothing against you anymore and Taylor I know you want to be with me, I'm not afraid I'll lose you." He said looking between them. Okay now it needed to stop. If he was mistaken it almost felt like the swing was picking up speed! Oakey pushed his feet down but that managed to do was knock one of his shoes off and it flew forward. Oakey looked forward, he'll need to jump. Hopefully the charmed floor will cushion his fall. He saw some other kids fall from the Playground castle as a floor disappeared on them but got up as if nothing was hurt. Loosening his hands a bit, on the next forward Oakey pushed himself forward and jumped!
Just for 3 seconds Oakey felt like he was bird. He was in the air and moving forward about 6 feet from the swing. But then he began to fall,as his feat hit the ground it felt like they were sinking into it a bit. This caused Oakey to get a little unbalanced, as well as missing one shoe now, and he fell onto his back. No more swings for me. he joked to Ronnie. who hoped was still there.
"Nice to meet you too!" she said. It felt a little strange, saying something each time you swung by. It wasn't that easy talking while swinging, unless you were in the mood to yell your lungs out so the other person could hear you. And even though Ronnie was always in the mood to yell her lungs out, today just wasn't the day for that. Nope!
She watched as he put his feet down to stop himself, and decided to do the same. Her black converse skidded across the ground, and a few seconds later the swing slowly stopped swinging. She watched in surprise as his shoe fell off and now. . . he was jumping out of the swing, just as she had done just a few days ago.
She got up as he landed on the ground, and ran up to him. She laughed at what he said. "Are you alright?" she asked. She knew the ground had been changed up so that you couldn't get hurt, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
