Ariana gave him a smug look right before he scooped her up and spun her around "whooooooo!" she yelled before he put her down on the ground she kissed him back and decided to not argue "ok you win my love." she said to him

Justin smiled when she conceded he was right.... " I love you..... and I also know that you just let me win..... but I'll take the victory as an apology gift...... " he joked as he took her small hand in his....

she smirked "yeah i did." she said as he took her hand.

The second year couldn't help but wonder why Ian was being so nice. I mean...really nice! She appreciated all the compliments and stuff she'd just never been one to know how to take them. Hence all the blushing. She giggled at the dementor bit, raising her eyebrows at him. "Not even dementors?" And without thinking too much about why or if she should, the small blonde leaned over and kissed Ian on the cheek. He really did deserve it.

Ella frowned when Ian shared that he didn't know if he was that smart. She hated it when he friends put themselves down. "Of course you're smart, Ian! You just have so much to catch up on that it's probably making you feel overwhelmed." Ella got that way even when attending classes regularly! "I can help you if you want, y'know. With all the work." That is if he felt like having her help. And then suddenly he was hugging her, and expressing again how glad he was that he had found her here. She returned the hug and smiled. "Well I'm really glad you're back." And she really was.

Ella bit her lip, knowing that sometimes normal family stuff didn't work out the way it was supposed to. She didn't want that for Ian though, and returned his weak smile with one of her own. "I'm sure it will...and if for whatever reason it doesn't you can come find me, yeah? To talk...or not talk. Y'know, just to sit together. Sometimes it's nice to just sit with a friend." At least Ella thought so. And speaking of sitting, Ella was a bit tired after all the falling and running so she fell back onto her back, placing her hands behind her head. "Up for some cloud watching?"

The side of Paulie's mouth hitched a little in a half-smile when Corny hopped up on the swing and clearly brightened - even more - at the mention of Aspen. 'Confusing as ever' was an essential tidbit to be tacked on to his response. "No surprise there," Paulie scoffed. Confusing and CRAY CRAYY.

He glanced over when he noticed the General shifting to a normal, sitting position on the swing. Right, his BLACK EYE. "Heh." He instinctively brought his hand to the place where Adam had clocked him. Here came the can of worms. "Well, ya see.. I've got these two real good friends, Louisa and Adam, and Adam really liked Louisa, and they'd just gotten out of a relationship when me and Louisa," Paulie rolled his eyes, "like idiots, kissed each other." Paulie shook his head at himself.

"I mean, I broke it off when my brain kicked in.. I did!" He added, for even just a little bit of self-defense. Not that it really helped. "But yeah, and he punched me and now he's not friends with either of us."

Paulie kicked his shoes against the ground underneath him, pushing away the dirt and woodchips. "That's not even the worst of it, Cornelius. I've got a girlfriend at Beauxbatons." Cue the mega shoulder slump. "And now I've probably ruined everything with her over this stupid, stupid kiss with a girl I don't even LIKE!" Like like.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

"So, yeah. I think I sorta welcomed the punch." Even if it took him by total surprise.

Cornelius listened patiently as Paulie began to unveil his black-eye ridden issues, swinging absentmindedly back and forth as he started to explain. Two best friends...out of a relationship. Well, that must've been awkward for the group... He was just figuring that that was gonna be the source of the issue when he heard his next words. He kissed her? Cornelius's eyebrows rose sky-high and his swinging came to a screeching halt, "You kissed her?!"

He shut up in the next second though as Paulie continued, not wanting to make the poor boy feel even more horrible. And so he just listened with wide eyes. Eyes that only got wider at the mention of a girlfriend at another school. Uh oh. That was...worse too. He remained silent for a moment, looking over at Paulie with a weak smile as he swung just barely from side to side. "I'm sorry, mate," he muttered, watching him seem to sink into even further desperation. "But you obviously feel bad about it, right?" Unfortunately Cornelius didn't know these people himself, so he couldn't really say how things would turn out.

"They'll turn around... He paused for a moment, looking more apologetic than anything. He could tell that that wasn't the best piece of advice ever given. "I'm sorry mate, I'm right rotten at this whole advice thing. And you know I'm not any good about girls right now." He gave a weak chuckle before re-evaluating and turning his swing so he was looking straight at his slightly older friend.

"But if your best friends are really your best friends, they'll remember that and come back eventually," he said honestly. "You're obviously sorry about it, any friend that can't see that is sort of an idiot themselves." He flashed him a grin before continuing, "And that girl... I dunno what kind of person is, but she's gotta forgive you too, right? It was obviously a mistake."

"Just apologize....a lot. Just..keep apologizing." He gave another teasing grin before turning back around and beginning to swing.

Nate made his way over to the playground after the duck pond thingy with Elliot the bursting steam engine. He waited on the swing for Laura to arrive because he had a very important question to ask her.

Laura decided that she was going to go for a swing because she was bored and so when she got there she sat on a swing next to Nata and started swinging then she realised Nate obviously wanted to speak to her. "Everything okay?" Laura hoped Nate wasn't mad with her for some reason.
