"I...the situation!" She replied, throwing up her hands. "Yeah, we're not together anymore," Way to rub it in, Hunter "but that doesn't mean we can't...get back together," She said sadly. As Hunter continued to talk, however, Hailey could tell he was no good at this kind of talk. Get over Mikey? HER? He had really lost it.

The poor Gryffie cradled her head in her hands again, not wanting to look at him. "But I don't wanna get over him!" She said firmly. There, now she sounded desperate. And then, she knew he really hadn't figured out the meaning behind her 'fine'. "I was clearly lying but you apparently left your heart in your dorm!" If that made any sense...

"You never know...she's pretty forgetful." She still remembered how Aria had only brought GUM to their picnic.

Breaking up didn't have to be so complicated. If you like someone, you date them. If you don't like someone, you don't date them. If you break up with someone but you still wanna be with them... "Then get back together with him!" Honestly. The two were more depressed alone then he could remember them being together. He didn't even know why they broke up in the first place! "And it isn't my fault you lied to me! Lying is wrong, Hailey!"

Hunter was so sure now that Hailey Rose Morrison was trying to ruin his life. He had no words left, just glares.

What exactly was a fifteen year old doing at a playground?

Nessie honestly had no idea. She had finished her homework earlier than she had expected and she had quite a lot of free time before dinner would start. The fourth year just wasn't too sure what to do with herself. So she did what sounded like the best option.

With Puffles in he's usual spot on her shoulder, the red head headed down to the grounds. She was thinking of heading off to the lake, but when she had spotted a playground filled with swings, slides and all sorts of fun childish looking things she paused.

No one she knew was around, right?

Didn't seem like it.

Beaming like a little kid, Renesmee headed towards the playground and grabbed a swing. She then began to swing herself and only began to beam more and more after each swing. It was such fun, and Nessie had to admit she missed being a kid sometimes. Life was so much easier and there was so much less to worry about. Being a kid meant being care free. Now that was something Ness wanted to be, though she tended to stress too often and too much.

Oh, if only she could be the little Lochnessie she used to be.

Elijah had been out one of his routine runs. He made sure to do this at least three times a week if not more. One of the most important parts of staying gorgeous was to stay fit, right? Girls loved a lean guy with big muscles, so he had to work hard to oblige to their needs.

In this particular run, his route took him past the playground that for some reason was part of the grounds. He had never really stopped and thought exactly why they had a playground. Afterall, they were a high school, not a nursery...

This was the first time he had been running past and had actually seen one of his fellow students using the thing. Usually his runs were early in the morning before most people were up, so that would explain why, much later in the day, he was seeing this Hufflepuff girl swinging, beaming to her heart's delight.

The strange people he was educated with.

"Aren't you a little bit old?" he teased, continuing to run on the spot, not wanting to slow his heart rate down.

Oh, this was so lovely! Nobody here to watch and nobody here to annoy her. Renesmee was quite happy about this whole thing, and she decided it would deffinitely be a place she needed to visit more often. Her decision was changed quite quickly though.

Somebody seemed to be watching her and now even questioning her. The Hufflepuff stopped swinging at once and began blushing immediately. No one was suppposed to see this. Merlin. How was she always in embarrasing situations? This was real bad, especially as this guy was a little cute.

No..he was really cute. He had huge muscles too, that was an extra.

Now was not to think about that though. Nessie shook the thought's out of her mind and looked at the older boy. "Um..um..yeah..I think so." she said a little out of focus. She then got of the swing and stood still, feeling just a little awkward.

"Aren't you fit enough already?" she asked. Which after processing it, it actually really seemed like a silly thing to say. People who were fit didn't stop excersising, they continued to excersise no matter what. At this realization, the fourth year's cheeks went redder than before.

Elijah grinned as the girl blushed. When girls blushed at things you said, that was a good sign that they cared what you thought and wanted to impress you. However, he couldn't help but feel somewhat guilty when the girl got off the swing and agreed with him. Oh gawsh this was bad.

"I was only kidding, I didn't mean for you to get off the swing," he really hadn't wanted her to feel embarrassed and awkward, "I think it's great you were swinging and having fun." Although, you'd never see Elijah acting so childish. He had a MANLY reputation to keep and swinging at play parks was not exactly the best way of securing that.

The girl's next question had him stumped for a moment. He hadn't expected it to come out of her mouth, but he grinned all the same. Whilst she may have been asking about his general ACTUAL fitness, Elijah took it to mean that she was calling him drop dead gorgeous and that someone SO gorgeous surely didn't need to continue exercising as vigorously as he did. He flashed her his best smile as the girl's face continued to get redder, "How kind of you to say so. I have been told I am rather... fit, but I have to keep on top of things. It takes a lot of work to maintain this degree of handsome."

"Perhaps if you exercised a little more you could maybe start improving your attractiveness. It's really not that hard when you get into a proper routine," he said, intending it to be genuine, caring advice but probably would be interpreted in a completely different and more horrible way. Oh, Elijah. Poor, naive Elijah. You really don't know how girls work at ALL, do you?

Okay..and now this boy was grinning at her. A bit odd don't you say? Or more like random. Whatever it was there was something about he's grin, that made it contagious. Renesmee gave the guy a small smile back, she couldn't help it. She just felt like she needed to return the grin.

The Hufflepuff raised her eyebrow. Kidding? Why would someone kid about that? "You were really kidding?" she asked wanting to make sure she had heard him right. Maybe he had said something else and she had just misinterpreted him. "It is?" Now she was confused. This guy barely knew her and here he was telling her it was great that she was swinging and having fun. Riiiight totally normal.

Renesmee's cheeks got brighter and brighter, almost as red as her hair now. She had no idea what was happening to her but everything this boy seemed to be doing had been causing her to blush. It was odd, there was only two other boys that had ever done that to her, Angelo and Thomas..but otherwise she had never blushed like this before.

"Yeah, um..you're doing a good job." she said as she eyed he's muscles again. Gosh they were big.

The next few words that came out of he's mind were just plain rude according to Ness. She couldn't help but get the feeling that this guy was a little arrogant after all. "I think I know how to look after myself." she said deffensively. She could have told him that she didn't think much of herself lookwise anyways, but she didn't think he needed to know that. "I used to be a dancer, I think I know a lot about excersise." she said and then frowned just a little as she remembered her dancing days. She used to love it so much, but now there was just no time for that. Everything was all about school and work.

Meh..another reason why she still wanted to be a kid.

The girl had started smiling as if Elijah had infected her with his own. He had to admit she at least had a pretty smile even if she did still use swings at the age of... well, whatever age she was.

"Yeah, I was just teasing," he assured her. He still felt somewhat rotten for making the girl feel self-concious when she had obviously been enjoying herself. That wasn't the way to woo and impress the ladies, now was it Elijah? He didn't bother telling her exactly what he thought of teenagers playing on swings, however, since that was likely to only make things worse.

He accepted her appraisal of his fitness with his widest, whitest and most charming smile. What better way to thank someone for their compliment than to reward them with his smile. It was a pretty awesome smile.

However, things were starting to go sour. The advice he had given seemed to have been taken wrongly. He had been merely wanting to suggest that perhaps she start up exercise, but the girl had taken serious offence it seemed. So much so that she began defending herself explaining how she knew how to look after herself (clearly) and used to be a dancer or something...

"Look, I meant no offence," Elijah retaliated quickly, "I'm sure you are very capable of looking after yourself and your own body." Elijah just knew that if it was him, he'd be doing a much better job at it. But he did a better job than everyone when it came to the matters of being flawlessly gorgeous and perfect.

The interaction between the two had reached an all time awkward and Elijah thought that perhaps it may be best if he continued his run before he ended up saying something else to pee her off or offend her. But then again, perhaps if he ran off she would just be equally offended, thinking that he didn't want her company, which in truth, he didn't.

Why were girls SO complicated? Why couldn't he find a nice, like-minded girl like himself? Then there would be NO confusion and hurt feelings at all.

He began picking up the pace as he ran on the spot, getting ready to start off again. "I am really sorry if I hurt your feelings," he made sure to add for good measure. Girls liked apologies. Especially apologies from HAWT guys.

Oh..so he was just teasing after all. Renesmee bit her lip and then looked at her shoes for a bit. She was still blushing and she was trying to hide her face from this boy. "I get a little carried away sometimes." she said, still keeping her face down. It was true though, she did carried away and she got carried away often, with silly things.

Merlin. That smile. He could win an award for it, it was so big and dashing. Nessie beamed a little back. She wasn't sure why, but this boy just made her smile. It was the second time already that he had done so. But whoever said there was anything wrong with smiling? It was healthy..now wasn't it?

Meh...Boys and there silly fitness. Ness gave the older boy just a small eyeroll. Why were all boys like that? They always had to say things and ruin everything. At least Angelo was never like that, he was always complimenting her and being all sweet. She really liked Angelo.

He meant no offence?

Pshht..Yeah right, he was just fixing up he's tactless words.

"I am." she said and then pouted a little. Yep..her pouting habit was really bad, but she couldn't help herself. She just puted at random times, mostly when she was in deep thought. "I'm very capable of looking after myself, thank you." she continued with just a little bit of attitude now.

That was strange. He was apologizing now?..Um..okay. Boys didn't really do that and it had taken Nessie by surprise. "Its okay, I guess." She said with a small shrug. She then took her sit back on the swing, without actually swinging. She sat for a few seconds, watching this boy that was now jogging on the spot even faster than before..untill..

Boom!

She slipped off and fell on her bottom. "Ouch." she said quietly and then wrinkled her nose.

The girl was smiling, which he assumed to be in response to his own smiling, except for the fact that his smile was obviously ten times better. He had practised his smile in front of the mirror for MONTHS one year to get it THIS perfect. Despite that she still had a good smile for a shy person, he guessed.

He simply nodded as she reaffirmed with him that she was capable of looking after herself and yada yada yada. Elijah was starting to really regret having said anything now, even if his original intentions had been to give her advice. He made a note to himself to work on better advice-giving topics for girls later on.

She accepted his apology rather unconvincingly, Elijah thought. No matter though, she had accepted it and that was good enough for him. She took her place back on her swing and Elijah took this as his cue to set off again and then...

Yep. She was on the ground. Damn.

Could he just leave her there? On the ground? After all she did say she could take care of herself, right? But Elijah was far more gentlemanly than that. He jogged over to her and offered her a hand to help pull her up from the ground, "Maybe I was wrong about you being too old for these, perhaps you are too young," he teased. "Are you okay?"

Ella had been fighting the whole growing up thing full force lately so she found herself in the playground, the place she felt most like a kid. It wasn't too crowded, though a few students ran around her, smiling and enjoying themselves. The second year smiled in return, happy to be in the company of cheerful people. And hey, the swings were open. Ells loved the swings!

Walking over, the small blonde plopped down and wrapped her hands around the chains tightly, pushing off the ground with her feet. And then she was swinging through the air, eyes shut, wind blowing her hair all over the place. Ahhh. She had missed this feeling.

Ian was out for a walk and found himself passing the playground. It held such nice memories, until just before he came to Hogwarts. He wasn't going to let those bullies keep him from fun. He walked toward the playground and observed a few students here and there. As he walked toward the swings, he saw a familiar shock of blond hair waving in the wind as she swung.

He hoped she didn't see him as he walked up close to her. He watched just a moment as she flew through the air and he could see that she seemed to be having a really good time. He debated with himself whether to interrupt, but then decided that fun was fun whether it was alone or with others. As she flew toward him, he stepped forward and placed his hands on her back and with all his might pushed her forward, hoping he didn't startle her too much and cause her to have a tumble.

Before she had learned how to fly here at Hogwarts, swinging had been the best thing to Ella Bishop. She spent many afternoons at the park near her house doing exactly what she was now, enjoying the feeling of being in the air. Little did she know that years later she would find herself in a place where flying was completely normal. Funny how that worked out for her.

The second year's eyes fluttered open when she felt someone pushing her. She wasn't exactly scared though, more curious. Unfortunately, she couldn't exactly turn her head to look at the pusher, not from this position anyway. With a wide smile, she let the swing take her to the highest point and let go of the chains, allowing the momentum to launch her into the air. A laugh escaped her lips as she flew through the air, before landing crouched down on the ground. Heh. She still had it!

Turning around, Ella was both pleased and shocked to see one Ian Tinker standing behind the swing she'd just been on. BEAMMM. "Ian?" She asked, a little confused at first. She hadn't seen the boy in ages. But it was definitely him! "IAN!" And she launched herself at the boy, wrapping him in a hug. Mostly because she had missed them. He had been a good friend before disappearing for a while.

As he watched her launch herself from his push, he smiled as she went to the apex of her climb and released the chains that she held. He heard her laughter as she flew without restraint, but he knew that the flight would be short lived. Of for the sense of freedom that momentary sense of flight brought. Not even the broom brought exactly the same sense. He marveled at her athletic landing and smiled as she turned.

His smile grew wider as he saw hers and then he heard his name and then shortly thereafter, her arms around him. "It's nice to see you too, Ella. Sorry I've been absent for a while. I really got caught up with things I probably shouldn't have and it caused me some trouble. I hope you'll forgive me for leaving without any word."

Ella let go of Ian and took a step back, studying him curiously. Yup. He was still the same Ian, though maybe a bit taller. He definitely looked like he'd grown a little since she had last spoken to him. She wondered if she looked different as well. Shaking her head when he started apologizing to her, Ella smiled at him reassuringly. "No, hey-don't apologize." She said sweetly. "I just missed you, is all. And you're back now so..." So they could be friends again, yeah? "Is everything okay...I mean at home and stuff?" It was, right? At least she hoped it was...though she wondered what could have kept Ian away for so long.

Deciding the conversation would be much better on the swings, Ella reached out and grabbed her friend's hand, pulling him towards the front of the swing set. She dropped it when they were standing right in front of the swings, plopping down onto the nearest one. She then motioned her head towards the empty one next to her. He'd join her for a swing, yeah?

He smiled as she spoke. She was the same Ella he remembered. "You've gotten a little more grown up looking since we last saw each other. You look nice" he said. Ian was glad to be back around her. In response to her question, he nodded slowly. "Yeah, mostly. Mum and dad have been fighting, but it's normal." He hoped there wouldn't be a whole lot of questions in that line.

He followed her as she led him toward the swings. As she released his hand and plopped down on the first one she came to, he did the same. He kicked off and began the steady back and forth as he kicked his legs back and forth. the feel of the wind going past his head felt amazing. He laughed and smiled as he was swinging beside Ella. He looked over at her to see how she was enjoying herself. He yelled out, "This is fantastic!"

Ella felt the familiar burning sensation in her cheeks when Ian told her she looked nice. Ugh. Curse the blushing! She looked down for a moment, trying to get control over it, before looking back up with a smile. "I...thanks. You look quite nice too. I mean...you've grown taller and stuff." Right, real smooth Ella. The poor child just could not stop being awkward. The blonde frowned immediately after hearing Ian's parents had been fighting. "I know what that's like." She said, before realizing he probably didn't want to discuss it with her. "...and I'm sure it isn't anything to worry about." She added, giving him a reassuring smile. They could drop that subject now.

Ella began to swing higher and higher, giggling as she did. This was nice, being on the swings. Somehow life just didn't seem as confusing right now with the wind sending her hair flying all over the place and a good friend swinging right next to her. She turned to see how Ian was getting on and smiled when she saw that he was looking back at her. When he called out, she grinned and did the same. "It IS amazing!" And for now, at least, the second year felt like a proper kid again.

He smiled as she blushed. He thought it made her even more good looking. He nodded as she looked up and complimented him. "Thank you. It's very kind of you to say so." Mercifully she commented about knowing what it was like to have fighting parents and then moved on. He was curious of course, perhaps hers had decided staying together was good, but he didn't want to push that door back open.

Her giggles were like music that edged him faster and higher. As he watched her hair flew this way and that,framing her features and then flowing behind her. It was so much fun just to play with someone else, no expectations, no places to be, no real pressures on his life. He could leave all those things he'd left at home there. He was so glad he'd seen her as he passed.

He grinned wider and asked, "Wanna see who can fly higher and farther?"

Ella shrugged, a small smile on her face. "Oh, it's just the truth is all." He did look taller...and nice too. Though for some reason she wished she hadn't said the nice part out loud. It seemed that dropping the parent subject had been a good idea top. The second year was glad. Talking about her family right now would only make her sad.

Ian looked happy, which was nice to see. Ella found that making people happy was one of her favorite things to do. As his grin grew wider, the blondes did as well. She couldn't help it, the smiling was contagious. Oh, and a challenge! Ella nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, that's a brilliant idea!" And the small badger started pumping even harder, tongue between her teeth. She was SO going to win.

He thought her shrug and blush was cute. He felt a little color rise to his cheeks as she said it was the truth. He felt so much more comfortable back at Hogwarts now that he had run into Ella. She made him feel better.

As they began to grow higher and faster, their grins threatened to split their faces as he looked to see how he was doing against her. He saw the determination in her face and pushed harder because he wasn't going to let her beat him. He looked to her and said, "Is that the best you've got?" He gave a few more kicks back and forth and just as he was as high as he thought he could get, he timed it just when he thought he could get the most height and distance and tried to push away from the swing. He had done pretty well except he'd forgotten about the leather braided bracelet on his left wrist that somehow got caught in the chain. His momentum was enough to carry him free of the chain, but he broke the bracelet and looked back, hindering his speed and height. It also broke his concentration and while looking back he didn't notice the ground was coming up quickly and he landed awkwardly sideways and tumbled in a heap over by a tree, just missing it. It did however cause all the air to rush from his lungs and he lay there gasping, sure he'd broken a rib.

Ella smiled and felt like pointing at the small blush that had now formed on Ian's face. See? She wasn't the only one who blushed! That made her feel much better about the whole situation. Thankfully for him, she didn't point, knowing it probably would have made him feel weird or something. She wouldn't want that.

The second year looked at Ian, eyebrows raised, as he asked her if that was the best she could do? She giggled before putting on her best poker face. "We'll just have to see, won't we?" And she began to pump harder, making her swing soar to new heights. She was just about to call out to her friend about how much higher she was planning on going when she caught sight of him jumping from his swing.

It was like she was watching it in slow motion, a horrified look on her face. Ella didn't quite understand why her friend suddenly looked back, mid-air, causing him to land rather frighteningly on the ground. EEP! And he had almost hit the tree! The small blonde gasped, before letting go of her own chains and flying through the air. She landed on her feet, breath caught in her throat , a nervous look on her face. And she had landed much further away from the spot Ian had landed...Mhm. She was up in another second, running towards her friend.

When she got to him, she winced as he looked like he was in a great deal of pain. "Oh Merlin! I've killed you. We should've never played this game..." She said with a groan. "A-are you okay, Ian?"

Of course she had to fall. Renesmee was a rather clumsy one after all...she happened to fall often and by now she was used to this whole thing. It barely effected her yet it did bother her. It bothered her A LOT! She still coped with Quidditch though, but that could have been cause of plenty of practice and plenty of concentration.

On a day like this..she wasn't entirely focused and anyways she didn't feel like the fall was her fault. It was obviously because the swing was slippery..or maybe she just had bad luck. It was one of the two for sure...or maybe just maybe it could hav been because she was distracted at what was before her.

For a few seconds, Nessie just sat on her bottom...she would get up when she felt like it, on her own of course seeing as some people didn't want to help..or maybe they did. A little shocked, Ness watched as this boy neared her and actually came by to check if she was alright..that's what it seemed like he was doing at least.

Wait...WHAT? So he didn't come to help her..just to tease her. Geez! That was rude!

"I'm not young. Hmph!" she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes a tiny bit.

He's next few words took Nessie by surprise. Was she okay..he actually wanted to know if she was okay. Wow! He was odd. It was like he couldn't decide whether to be nice or not. "Yeah, I'm fine...just a small, little fall." she said and then turned around to look at the swing behind her. Good thing it hadn't hit her in the head or something, That would have been really sore.

"What's your name anyways?" The words just flew out of her mouth..that tended to happen when she began being all curious.

As he lay there, Ian looked up and saw the sky was still blue, the trees green and he was still alive. He breathed a bit deeper. It didn't hurt so much and he figured he probably didn't break anything. Another few seconds and Ella was leaning over him. He saw the look of horror on her face and inexplicably he began to laugh. "Ella, that was amazing, if not extremely dangerous. I think we should play more games like that. I've not had this much fun in months. And I'm so glad I got to share it with you." He looked and said, "Well, you know where I landed." He looked around some and asked, "How much farther did I land than you did?" He gave her a wink, grabbed her around the knees and pulled her to the ground before she got all angry and started off.

Ella was actually quite surprised to see her friend, who had been gasping moments early, laughing at how scared she was. Blink.Blink. Huh? And then he was saying that it was amazing! The second year found herself putting a hand to his head, surely he had been concussed or something! A small smile replaced her worried expression as Ian went on to admit he hadn't had this much fun in months. The smile increased in size as he then admitted he was happy she had been there to share it with him. BEAM. That was quite nice. "Me too." She said quietly before raising her eyebrows at his next statement. HEY! He didn't actually think he beat her, did he? "Ian that's rid-"

Ella found that she was now laying on her back, looking towards the sky. She couldn't believe Ian had just done that. It took her totally by surprise. The second year was actually quite impressed by how quickly he overtook her. Was he a ninja or something?! She chanced a glance at him before bursting into laughter. "Y-you're-haha-n-haha-nut-hahaha-nuts-hah-Ian!"

Ian saw the look of confusion on her face as he began to laugh, but then it was replaced by smiles. She had a pretty smile. Certainly she was pretty, but her smile increased it ten-fold. He grinned wider as she said she enjoyed it as well and then she seemed prepared to object to his winning the contest. She must think I don't know who won, he thought to himself just before flipping her to the ground.

He saw the look of shock on her fave and then she looked up at him and burst into laughter. "Yes....I am nuts. I think though if I'm going to be nuts, I'd like to be a brazil nut. It's really hard to open, but once you get inside it's soft and buttery." He grinned back at her before jumping up and running to the slide. "COME ON, ELS!" he yelled at her to follow.
