A set of paths link the courtyard to various areas of the grounds. It's nice to walk along either on your own or with a friend. The trees on either side of the path help to create a light atmosphere. So go on, take your time and soak up the fresh air, heaven knows students need it.
"Oh, cool!" Sophie smiled. "So you like the outdoors even when it's cold? Like.. snooowiiiiing??" She asked gesturing the snoow while her eyes sparkled. Snow was just lovely!
Shaking her head, Sophie sighed when Messer talked about the ones that didn't like being sorted into Hufflepuff. "I know! It's like we're an awful an useless house!" Which they were NOT! Hufflepuff was awesome and so cool! The color of sunshine? Hehehehe! She chuckled before talking. "Yeah, yellow is a really nice color too!" She liked the other house colors too, of course, but she had heard some people mentioning their dislike towards yellow before... nonsense! "I guess we'll have to get used to this fact and always help them undesrtand our house better!" They could do that, after all! "Yes, there's a girl! And she's really nice!" Maybe she could introduce them later! Her friends being friends with each other! That thought put a smile on Sophie's face.
"I've played as a keeper and a chaser." Her cousin didn't think she was strong enough to be a beater, and they always fought over who would be the seeker, so Sophie never got that position either. "My cousins used to give me a hard time as a keeper. They're all a lot older than me, so you can imagine the whole thing, I guess!" Heh. Three big chasers coming in her direction... noooooot fun!
OH! Wimbourne Wasps fan??? Sophie widened her eyes and her mouth dropped open. "OH, NO!!! HOW ARE WE GOING TO BE FRIENDS NOOOOW????" She asked dramatically, grabbing her chest for emphasis. Mehehehe! Hopefully he wasn't one of those that made that weird buzz sound though... hmmm... anyways! "Ok, cool!" GO, ALEC AND MESSEEEER!!!
Oh... the shouting and yelling scene at the Feast last year... that was scary... "I hope it wasn't for that reason!" But coming to think of it... both professor Roslund and professor Schirmer didn't come back this term... "Do you think that they both left because of that??" She asked looking at him, frowning a little. That was sad... And theory. "I never liked theory, but I just LOVE practical stuf!" That was why she was doing spells right now, by the way! WUT!! "I'm no show off!" She giggled. She was really enjoying herself with these little spells. "Why don't you try some too?" She pointed her wand at the frozen leaf at the same time she dropped it. "Incendio!" A big smile appeared on her face when the leaf was set on fire. How COOL was that?? She wished she were 17 already, so she could do that at home. "Aguamenti!" And now water came out of her wand and hit the burning leaf.
AWESOME SPELLS ARE AWESOME!!
Snowing? "Of course. I LOVE snow!" Snow was just awesome. "You could built your own snowman, playing snowball fight an a lot more." he said a little more excited. There're SO much fun activities that you can't do in the other three seasons.
"Pfft. I know, right? We're not useless." They definitely not useless. People always underestimate them. "They're a LOT of awesome people come from Hufflepuff. They just didn't know that." Long sigh. Messer grinned at Sophie' comment. Yellow definitely an awesome color. Its definitely NOT a sissy color. "Yeah. But I just hope next term we won't have another one of that." He just want a peace an quite opening term feast free from screaming or frowning firstie who wish to be in other houses. "Hufflepuff always nice, Sophie." he chuckled. Its in their nature.
Keeper and chaser?! That's cool! "I never played Keeper before." But then again he never played other position except for chaser in their house team last year. "Well, at least you have your cousins to play Quidditch with." When Messer was big enough to play Quidditch, his cousins refused to play with him because they said he's too young and his little sister is too little to play Quidditch. Messer let out another laugh. This girl is too funny. "Don't worry I won't tell your Appleby Arrows friends that you're friend with a Wimbourne Wasps fan." he said jokingly.
Sophie was right. Both Professor didn't come back this term. "I dunno." he shrugged. "I heard that Professor Roslund didn't come this term because of his sister or something." But he seriously doubt that. "While Professor Schirmer, I heard that she's working for the Ministry now." Maybe that's the reason she didn't come back here because she was offered a better job? "Theory just too boring." he said dramatically. "Practical stuff was just too fun." They got to do some spells and actions. "Sureeeee.." Oh look she did some show off again. He tries some spell in the open area while no professor watching over? How about something wrong happen? Maybe he could do the hover charm that's very simple charm, right? "Okay. I'll give it a shot but don't blame me if something terrible happen." Messer took out his wand and pointed to one of the flower on the ground. Swish and flick. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Slowly the leaf float following his wand movement. Then he put the flower on Sophie' head and ended the spell with finite. Who know that he could do some show off too, huh?

Maxwell kissed her back passionately, he let his longing show. He had nothing to lose now and he wasn't afraid. His eyes were closed but he felt the color white coming on and pushed it away, he wasn't feeling that Daring.
Maxwell wanted to scream 'I'm in love with you!' it's all he was thinking but shoved it down, they were over and he needed to accept that...she'd just think he was crazy... "I-ughhh.." He said not sure what to really say forcing the white feeling away and everything that came with it.
Maxwell grabbed her arm to stop her. "This isn't goodbye it's just a pause...I know we said maybe someday...but I will have you again...I promise." He sighed. "As much as i hate saying this, I know you need to find who you are outside of us...and I know that whoever that is will be someone I'll love, and I'll be here to welcome her with open arms.." He said with a single tear, knowing he had to let her go.
Taylor glanced at his hand then up to his face. As she listen to what he had to say, Tay couldnt help but blush. She gave him a smile, "You are wonderful, ya know?" She gave him a kiss of gratitude and wiped his tear.
Maxwell smiled a little. "I try to be...for you, Songbird." He wanted so badly to tell her how he was feeling but he knew it would make what she needed to do for her so much harder, he would wait and keep his love buried. "You're going to be the most amazing woman when we leave here." He said knowing he'd be proud of her.
"I am honored that you are still trying for me..." She smiled and blushed. Tay blushed even deeper at the second part. "You do me honor by saying that but i doubt that i would be the most amazing though i dont doubt that you would be the most amazing man when we graduate." Taylor smiled at him.
Maxwell smiled. "Any time i try to better myself it's for you." He said smiling and again showing his teeth a little. "I know you will be, whether you think it or not and I can't wait to see you do amazing things in the world." He said smiling with a small blush at what she said. "If i am it will only be because i was changed by this very sweet girl in my second year who waved to me when i was having a bad day.."
It was now Taylor's turn to blush. "You are too sweet, Maxwell." She smiled at him, "What do you see in me? I mean i keep on hurting you...." Tay looked down and away then back up at him, "I was wrong to say that i didnt love you any more... I thought i didnt but i was wrong...." She sighed.
Maxwell shook his head. "You don't keep hurting me, it's not the only thing that's happened with us. Taylor when i look at you i see someone who's smart and stronger than i'll ever be, she's kind but fierce and she's always wearing a dress, she plays with her hair when she's nervous and is kind to everyone she meets...Everything you are is good to me...You just need time to see that and believe it and then...then you'll be mine again." He smiled. "Or unless i go crazy first." He blushed a little when she said she still loved him. "What's done is done, Taylor let's leave it there. We both know the truth now.." He said looking into her eyes.
Taylor smiled, "How come you always know the right thing to say, Maxwell?" She sighed and hugged him. Tay kissed his cheek and hugged him. "Thank you for understanding." So much better this way then you assuming that it is because of Damon... Taylor sighed at that thought but then smiled at Maxwell. "Thank you..."
Maxwell shrugged. "I just speak my heart and mind...You're welcome Songbird...I'll never stop trying for you, if there's ever a time where it seems like I'm not crazy about you then i'm pretending and lying to myself." He said wanting her to know that no matter what he loved her.
Tay shook her head, "There is going to be a time when you move on Maxwell." She sighed, "Trust me." Taylor gave a half smile, "You deserve better than me."
Tay shook her head, "There is going to be a time when you move on Maxwell." She sighed, "Trust me." Taylor gave a half smile, "You deserve better than me."
Maxwell looked her in the eyes, very serious. "I might move on one day, But i'll come back around again, because there are no girls like you and no one can make me forget that, Taylor...I promise you one day I'll kiss you again and we'll hold nothing back." He said knowing it in his heart. "I deserve you in the future and that version of you deserves her version of me...So i'll meet you there, okay?" He said wanting to put a positive spin on all of this.
Tay sighed and nodded even though she didnt think what he was saying would happen. "Yeah okay." She gave a half smile to him and looked him in the eyes.
Maxwell sighed. "That's true...But not all plans are made by me, I'm very determined and I won't quit on you." He said smirking playfully at her wanting to see her smile.
Edric shrugged his shoulder as Evelyn explain he should enjoy his last years before entering the 'real world'. "I am. I'm doing more reading and more avoiding people than ever before. I call that 'fun'," said the cynical boy. It was true, though. There was nothing more fun than NOT having to deal with people.
And then the girl was teasing him for smiling earlier. PSH. Edric rolled his eyes but for once said nothing. Instead, he went back to her earlier question about the swimming. "'Course I do." He loved swimming, actually. That and running were his favourite ways of exercising. He wasn't much into sports, though, not even Quidditch.
When Evelyn went on to finally share a little French with him, the Gryffindor boy raised his dark eyebrows, impressed. He didn't know a word of french, so if Ev's accent was right on or off, he couldn't tell. Either way, it sounded beautiful. "Very nice, mademoiselle," complimented the boy.
Huh? "You call avoiding people..'fun'..why?" Seriously, why and how was that fun? How could anyone avoid talking to people? That was just..weird. Honestly, she couldn't imagine not talking to people at all..she'd probably end up being really REALLY bored. Right...Evelyn just smiled and shook her head. "Clearly our ideas of fun are different."
"You do?" Evelyn asked, surprised. OH. "Erm.." Evelyn started hesitantly. She wasn't sure if the boy would like to teach her since he really didn't seem the kind of guy who would be interested in teaching anything to anyone. Anyway, she'd decided to give a try. "So..I was wondering..if you'd like to teach me?" If he didn't want to..that was fine. She wouldn't mind, really.
"Really?" Very nice..she wasn't really sure about that but heh. He just complimented her..so great. "Thank you." Evelyn said, with a smile.

As Evs questioned Edric's taste in 'fun', he flashed her a half-smile and shrugged. "Why not?"
That was Edric for ya. Answering questions with more questions, always going against the norm.
Edric leaned back on the palms of his hands absentmindedly as Evelyn seemed to grow hesitant beside him. He looked up at the gray sky then back down at the Hufflepuff girl as she suddenly spoke again. Apparently, she wanted him to teach her how to swim. Huh. Edric raised his eyebrows in surprise at the request.
First of all, he'd never been asked to teach anyone anything.
Second of all, she honestly trusted him enough to teach her such a thing? For all she knew, he could be a serial killer who liked to drown innocent girls! Of course, he wasn't. But Edric was the paranoid kind. He didn't trust people and didn't expect people to trust him.
However.
Evelyn was a friend. They'd already established that.
"Sure." He shrugged, then added, "But I'm assuming those lessons won't be starting for a few more months if you're really this sensitive to the cold," he said, half teasing. In reality, it was FREEZING outside, but Edric seemed to be immune to the cold for some reason. Maybe because he was made of ice himself?

"I don't know..why don't you tell me?" Evelyn asked, rolling her eyes. Seriously, why did he have to answer all her questions with another question. That was just annoying and...yeah. Just annoying. Go on, Edric. WHY was avoiding people fun? 'Cause she had absolutely NO idea. PFFT.
OOOH. Evelyn couldn't help but stare at him for a moment. So..he'd agreed to teach her. Actually agreed to teach her. WOW. She definitely hadn't seen that coming.
Right. Hm? Evelyn flushed. "Yeah, right. I think I can handle..the water..being a little..cold." Evelyn protested. Of course, she could. The water couldn't be THAT cold and even if it was..she could handle it.

"I could tell you, but who's to guarantee you'll appreciate my logic?" replied Edric. 'Cause honestly, he doubted Evs would find him any easier to understand if he explained his annoyance with humanity. She'd just find him weirder than she already does. SO. Once again, his response to a question was another question of its own.
This is why no one ever got very far into Edric's mind. The boy was a bit of a rubik's cube himself, though he considered himself a perfectly simple being.
"Oh, can you?" Edric raised his dark eyebrows as Evelyn protested to his teasing. "Well, if that's the case we can start whenever you'd like," he added. He couldn't help wondering how this would go. He'd never taught anything to anyone besides himself. "But if you catch pneumonia, it's not my fault." Just gotta make that clear right away.

"Well, you'll know soon enough. I promise I won't laugh though.." Evelyn said, seriously. She kinda knew that what he was about to say would be weird and she definitely didn't think it would make sense..but heh. She wouldn't laugh..at least, she would try not to laugh. Evelyn lay back down on the grass and looked up at the sky. "You seriously should stop answering my questions with another question though..it's rather annoying."
"Well..I can try, right?" Evelyn started to look a little doubtful. "I mean, it's october but..would the water be too cold?" She sighed quietly. She'd wanted to learn to swim, true..but not in freezing water. GULP. "No, I won't blame you for that. But..I'd definitely blame you if I end up not learning anything at the end of the lesson." Smirk.
