Ducks, fifteen in all and quite possibly already named, live in this pond. Go on, take a seat on the rocky ledge and dip your feet into the water! Rest assured, these ducks will not bite, but if you just so happen to have any type of bread or cookies on you at the time, the ducks have been known to take without asking.
Waylon keeps a good eye on the pond and the ducks, so no funny business.
Tay glared at Damon but didnt bother replying to him. Taylor sighed and nodded, "You are right Maxwell...." She grimaced, "I will try to be civil to that nightmare for her." Tay buried her head in Maxwell's chest as he growled at Damon.

Maxwell wrapped his arms around Taylor. "Taylor, I'm by no means friends with Damon but you should listen to Min because she's right. I hate seeing you so upset like you have been." He said in a concerned way, knowing she was upset over Damon.

Tay unburied her head and looked at both Maxwell and Minerva. "It doesnt help that i tried talking to him and he snapped at me multiple times."
"Oh don't lie, Damon." She glared at him and took out the scroll. Tay threw that and the quill it came with at his feet, not caring if mud got on it. "Take back your stupid scroll. I have no use for it at all."
Tay looked at Damon with hatred on her face then looked at Maxwell with a face that looked like a lost child. Taylor turned off her emotions, "No... there is nothing to talk about anymore."

Mienrva sat quietly feeling her headache from the feast coming back. How was she could to help this situation, she couldn't figure it out. "Stop yelling" she said in a calm voice, rubbing her temples. "Why must you two keep doing this. If you hate each other fine. I don't know what else to do to help this, but Ash is my boyfriend that I really like and Taylor you are my best friend, and Maxwell is a great friend to. So I want to be around all of you, now we need to figure this out on nice terms."
Tay looked at Damon with hatred on her face then looked at Maxwell with a face that looked like a lost child. Taylor turned off her emotions, "No... there is nothing to talk about anymore."
Maxwell looked at Taylor with empathy for her, He offered her his hand as if to show that he was still on her side, like always that they could escape if she needed to.
Tay sighed, "Minerva...." She looked at her friend, "I promise to keep my hatred for your boyfriend," Yeah she didnt say cousin. "away from you and try not to let it show." Taylor buried her face in Maxwell's chest.

WAIT. PAUSE.
"I beg your pardon?" She didn't think so? To which one? He said like, seven different things. Yes, he was pureblood. Yes, he was brilliant. Yes, he was attractive. VERY much so. Yes, he was charming. He had been told that many times. AND he was smart. AAAAND most people liked him. So, she was wrong.
"I play a bit, yes." Not for the Ravenclaw team, though. Because he didn't want to do anything affiliated with stinky Hogwarts. Except... classes. Because that was kind of important.
Ronnie cocked her head slightly. "I said I don't think so when you asked if there was anymore I wanted to know." she said with a nod. Maybe he had heard her wrong and thought she meant that to something else he had said.
"That's cool." she said. "What position do you like the best?" she asked.

Minerva could feel herself getting upset over this, but she didn't want to add to the problems. "You guys remember our trip to New York and how much fun the FOUR of us had TOGETHER?" she was grasping straws, but anything to help this situation. "Can we be like that again together? It's perfect now more then ever. Ash and I are together, so there doesn't need to be anymore tension." she knew she was still trying to be hopeful in a bad situation, but someone had to.

Maxwell nodded. "Do you have class soon?" He asked with a half-smile. "I can walk you, I'm supposed to meet Ariana soon." He said looking at his watch.
In a million years... Damon sighed and also looked at his watch and shook his head, "I need to be heading out soon too... Grimalkin's been in his cage all day, I need to let him out."

It was a shame, though, that West went to the green one, but at least they were closer to them than up there in one of the towers. She smiled, and listened as he spoke about...wow, really? 'Nearly as bad'? Thanks for pointing out that yellow wasn't her color, Captain, but she had to agree with him, after all, she'd thought about that herself. "I agree," she finally said, and couldn't help but divert her gaze from his eyes to his hair. So yellow suited her more than it suited him? Yeah, obviously.
As far as how hard this could turn out to be for her..., "I miss it," all of it, "But this place isn't half bad," her smile wasn't as wide as before, thanks to Keefer mentioning this, but she was one who tended to adapt well to changes. And this was only for a few months, if she wanted to be back in Sweden once school was done, then she definitely could.
For now...her expression turn to one of amusement. Yes, Captain, you will see her name because she signed up. "It always is," fresh blood, always good, another nod came to her head...and then...
...she froze.
Er, well, yes, she was pretty good but...hearing him say that caught her off guard, to say the least, even more so when he mentioned her hair being a distraction? Blink. She didn't know what to think of it, or what did he mean, so her mouth opened up slightly to ask...questions that were never asked, since now he was...going to explain? Hopefully? She didn't look concerned at all, she still looked amused by his reaction, especially the part in which he said she was the cause of it.
Kate wanted to let him know that it was okay, before he actually said something he'll regret, but she decided on giving him time to gather his thoughts. Her eyes couldn't leave him, though.
Alright. She knew that. She had her father's hair. Plus, West did mention her hair was pretty. THAT is the kind of thing you mention to girls. "I think that's a compliment? That I'm not like most girls?" yes, that's all she said about Keefer's jumbled up speech. "I hope you win it again this year," her tone and expression were kept sweet, even if she wasn't oblivious to the topic change Keefer had brought up, so she went along with it.
Also, the kitchens was his favorite place? Besides the Pitch, for sure. She smiled at this, "We should go some time, I haven't been there yet," when it was cold enough for hot chocolate, of course, not right now in the middle of the day. "Oh, yes, I saw," the little one going from table to table? Probably looking for fun? "And you only have house elves in there?" they had Wizards and Witches focused on cooking back in Sweden, though.
Her reply.. 'I agree'... Something about the way she hesitated made him uncomfortable. Why would she.. Oh! "I mean, not that your hair clashes!" he said, back peddling. "I just meant, you know... Mine looks terrible, and yours is fine. No, it's beautiful! I mean, great! Yeah, it's perfectly okay.." Well yes, that entire speech had been a disaster. "Er, I think I'm just going to shut up now.." he trailed off.
Then he had to go and bring up a sad subject. She probably missed Sweden a lot. Her response confirmed this suspicion. "Well, it's not as if you'll never go back, at least. So that's a bonus." And she had just said Hogwarts wasn't half bad. But did that mean it was MORE bad than half? He certainly hoped not.
WE.. we should go sometime? Is that.. an invitation? The thought made him feel curiously triumphant inside, like a cat finally catching its prey. Unless she's just being polite. The inflating bubble inside his chest popped. "Well, anytime you want to go, I'm game." Which made sense, coming from the Captain. "I'm glad you got to see Toddles. But no, it's just the elves in the kitchens as far as I know." Which, truthfully, wasn't far, since he wasn't there much during 'normal' times.
Fortunately she didn't press him to explain himself about his distraction comment. His heart was beating uncomfortably fast and he seemed to be tongue-tied at the moment. She had clearly seen through his abrupt change in topic. Not much gets past her, he thought, grinning ruefully. "And yes, it's a compliment. Although it's coming from someone who is clearly socially inept, so you probably can't take it very seriously. I don't have too many girl friends."
Words seemed to tumble out of his mouth without him thinking first. He found her strangely easy to talk to, a trait he had never encountered with anyone of the opposite gender. Which is probably why I don't have too many girl.. friends. Crap. "I didn't mean GIRLFRIEND girl friends. I would never have more than one at a time! I mean, not that I have one AT ALL." From bad to worse.
"Well, you've managed to discover I am completely socially awkward, have practically no female friends, and am single. And that only took you.." He glanced at his watch. "..a grand total of six minutes. You're amazing." Which was wholly true, though he barely knew Kate.

Minerva listened as to what Maxwell whispered, yes that was perfect leave them here to talk without her and Maxwell around. She liked that idea, she got up and kissed Damon on the cheek then looked to Taylor. "Maxwell and I have some studying in the library. I promised him I would help him and I think you two (pointing to Damon and Taylor) need to figure out a game plan when around each other." she hated putting them on the spot like this, but it felt like the only way. She looked at Maxwell "Ready?"
"I dont have time to talk to a..... to him today, Minerva. I have to get ready for class and work on some homework." With that, Tay kissed Maxwell and left.

That list. It was very similar to his list. "I like those things." he admitted. Well, not so much blowing things up. He got into way too much trouble when his mother caught him playing with fireworks. "And I know how to make campfires." yes, yes he did.
"Yeah, first year. This place is crazy right?"
"He's cool." West obligingly inspected the beetle. He totally approved. Beetles were pretty cool. Not as awesome as Lizards but still cool.
"Kaid?" That worked, right? It was still part of his name after all and that was the best kind of nickname since it wasn't mean like strawberry.
"You DO?" West sounded intrigued. "We should MAKE one! And get marshmallows and then roast them!"
He nodded nodded nodded at the first year. and crazy part, but now he was more focused on campfires and beetles.
West Odessa had his priorities.

Minerva let her frustrations go when Taylor got up and left. She turned "Ahhhh" letting out a scream and kicking the tree. "Ouch" she said in a low voice and walked away from Maxwell and Damon. For once Maxwell was being the mature one. She couldn't believe how childish they were acting. Her brother would have acted more mature if he was still here. She walked close to the pond and started tossing rocks into it, making sure she wasn't going to hit any ducks.
